I said I was going to make visionary incense with the trees and plants that grow in this garden. i am.

Madness going fucking ham earlier... was a necessary fucking moment (insert what i said last night about deities' actions being symbols. lev absolutely Forgot to be more careful because Big Lev made him forget that on purpose). a moment of realisation of how strong the Tree of Madness is and. jesus christ. I am not. stripping its bark and turning that into incense alone

its definitely going to be....... this garden as a whole actually is going to be mixed and matched to form various alchemical shit. the Heart Tree (tree of me in totality) is definitely needed in the visionary/divine madness incense, but that. increases the effects of the Tree of Madness, so I have to be fucking careful. The Tree of Sleep, whenever it arises, is definitely going to be a component and I think its soothing properties will counteract Madness alllllllmost. more so Madness is the top of a triangle metaphorically, Sleep is one other corner, we need another contender in the third corner to properly balance out and neutralise Madness' complex ferocity.

one rayne, two raynes, three raynes. and another rayne if you're counting finn to look similar to rayne. one twin looks exactly like his father, with half yellow and half black hair split in the center. his lines the same as rayne, both streaks that runs down his eyes. demeanor like his father's— serious, calm, and collected.

what about the other twin? he is exactly the same like his father. well, not really. he has the colour of your hair and a different type of line design. this twin is on the weaker side, seeing how he only has a single line that runs across his nose. just like you, with a single line. being the weaker twin, he was softer than his elder twin brother, often helping around town or anyone at all.

today rayne is all alone with his sons, as his wife had to visit her family's business to help around, so she left the boys with him. rayne is a busy divine visionary, he couldn't just leave his sons alone. so he brought them to his office. what a surprise, his brother's friends are all there. and rayne's eyes twitched at the chaos that is about to happen.

finn is the first one who greets them, for he is their uncle. being the loving and nice uncle finn is, he often spoils them and doesn't know when to stop. like always, he gave both the twins a candy each, ruffling with their head.

mash who has never seen rayne's children before, is fascinated by the fact that there are two other little raynes. one the exact copy, the other immediately reminding him of you. he doesn't know whether to continue feeling fascinated or to feel fear since there is a mini rayne in town now. what if mini rayne is as powerful as his dad?

lance who had no reaction to them at all. he already saw them, already met them, and already knew them long ago. in fact, the older twin quite likes lance. he sees lance as an icy and cool idol to admire.

dot who keeps the kids if they want tips on how to get a girlfriend and only the younger ames listens, for the elder one immediately finds dot annoying. the younger one is just curious on what the meaning of 'girlfriend' is, before lemon pushes dot away and apologised to the younger ames.

lemon who tells the twins not to mind dot, for he still hasn't find a girlfriend after years of being single. she tells them not to worry as they are still young and instead, gives them the cream puffs she has made for mash which ended up being way too much.

and rayne, who sighs and shakes his head at the growing trouble that he could smell from afar. seeing the piles of paper stacked on his table, he has no choice but to ask the help of the mashle friends to look after his kids. he could trust finn, but he doesn't trust the others. so he purposely gave the task to finn, but everyone else took it as an invitation to babysit two little raynes.

rayne will make sure to complain to his wife when she comes back home.

I think your take is an interesting one! But I can personally see another interpretation for Dutch's written speech as well, which to me might also be due to his obsessive tendencies, maybe even anxiety. To a certain degree, i can relate to dutch writing his thoughts down before his actual speech. Its like when i try to do a presentation in a class and i mentally prepare myself before the big day with brainstorming what i want to say. And without reading back what i wrote, its just hard to say everything that ive written down the day before. So maybe dutch isnt actually trying to simplify his speeches for the gang but just sorts of improvise as he does his speech because hes got too many ideas to say but cant say as nicely as he wrote it down? Like i do this myself all the time. And i feel like the fact that we can find these written thoughts for his speeches also could simply accentuate his obsessive tendencies, like, Dutch wants to be that visionary, he wants to be that leader who opposes against the elite, he wants to be that robin hood of the west, so he thinks a lot about his speeches, because to him they are important, he wants his speeches to express exactly what he wants, how he feels, the vision he has and believes himself to incarnate. To an obsessive degree. Like im not sure its 100% with intended malice, i feel a lot of what dutch does mostly at the beginning of the game, is due to himself fully believing his own vision in a sense, even if it turns out to be manipulative. And i think his written speeches could reflect that.

Ofc nor saying dutch isnt manipulative in general because he is!! Though i think there's multiple ways to look at the notes!

Dutch actually writes notes for his famous camp speeches.

And if you've seen the speech that these notes are referring to, Dutch seemed to simplify it a lot when he recited it, almost dumbing it down for the gang entirely?

Writing notes for an important speech isn't the strange part, but the fact he dumbs them down and that these notes are hidden/thrown away out of sight is really strange to me. It makes me think that this is possibly a rough draft or early version of what he wanted the speech to be, sort of implying that Dutch practices and revises his speeches.

Which, if he ultimately dumbs them down for the gang, then what is the point?

The likely answer is that he holds himself to a higher standard because he feels he's above the gang members, in a way. He's the visionary, the leader, the man in charge, the one who reads philosophy books almost exclusively, to say that Dutch didn't think highly of himself would be a lie. And because the gang is 'below' him, he simplifies his speeches for them - despite majority of the gang being well educated and understanding. He doesn't think that the gang is as intellectual as him.

I made a post previously talking about Dutch and his Evelyn Miller philosophies and how he argues with gang members that don't agree or understand. It's especially interesting how Lenny, also an avid reader, disagrees so strongly with Miller's writings when that's what most of Dutch's philosophies are based on.

It solidifies that Dutch was manipulative from the beginning, and probably long before too.

Jacob’s Classic Cheese Pizza mini cheddars

Lovely! enjoyers of pizza flavoured snacks rejoice there is a new delectable on the market. Slightly cheesy, slightly tomatoey, and with a vauge smokey taste that reminds me of pepperoni, these crisps imitate some of the better pizza flavoured snacks of the past. Unfortunately, imitate is all they do. While aping the flavours of texturally and flavourally superior pizza snacks like Shapes and Combos, these crisps neglect to do anything new. Hampered by the (now quickly growing oversaturated) medium of mini cheddars it feels that there is a natural limit on what can be achieved with the next generation of Cheddars flavours. While they have tried to circumvent this with the new Nibblets and Sticks, they have written themselves into a corner trying to manage both inventiveness and consistent branding. the mini cheddars varieties are still made from the same wheat flour base baked in exactly the same way, the only difference is the shape of the protocrisps prior to cooking. When I say reaching the natural limits of the medium Im talking about the difficulty of creating a new taste experience on what is essentially 30 different flavours of the same crisp. While they are lovely, and I will continue to look forward to new releases, I feel the cheddars formula needs some experimentation to really drive home the initiative the boys at jacobs are displaying. Quite simply, the flavour creators at Jacobs are visionary. While not every flavour is incredible, some are outright awful (looking at you cheese ploughmans mini cheddars), they are CONSISTENTLY bringing out new flavours, the vast majority of which are lovely and interesting. Take the new cheese pizza flavour for example, It is nice, tasty, but nothing new. For this reason its one of the worst mini cheddars flavours after original, but still lovely from the strength of the flavour profile imagineered by the Jacobs team. My point is that with a very strong team working on flavour I would expect some diversion of resources to texture. Something has to change because at the minute the delicious flavour of the new flavours of mini cheddars (since the 2nd wave "Strathdon Blue Cheese" era) is THOROUGHLY let down by the failed or incomplete innovations in the way of crisp technology. Perhaps embrace the "mini" and simply make a bag of tiny cheddars that you can drink like the flavourful melange at the end of a package of potato crisps. I don't know, but there are clearly many avenues to be explored vis a vis size, shape, texture, cooking style, that clearly aren't and it is, in my opinion a waste of talent.

KnB Commentary: Midorima Shintarou--The Paradox of a Character: An Astro-psychological Analysis

Midorima is perhaps the most compatible character to be discussed with astrology, but I will bring some psychological angles to his analysis as well. Being the favorite character of Fujimaki sensei “to draw” he must have gone through some trials and errors when he was made. But on the surface, he seems like a stereotypical cool megane guy who thinks everyone is beneath him. So why is Midorima the way he is? let’s dive in with Oha-Asa style

Let’s talk his name first. Midorima’s surname is written with two kanjis: “Midori” (緑) and “Ma” (間). The first one obviously hints at his hair colour and overall color scheme: green, a colour associated with intelligence, fertility, wealth and youth. The latter character means “space” which hints at his playing style: the high arching 3 pointers. So overall, his name indicates an overachiever, perfectionist to the teeth and serious person. If his name was to indicate “Green Space”, then should he not be a visionary and imaginative person, close to Akashi or Kuroko--but he is much controlled than others. Is it a conscious character design choice, a psychological aftermath or something supernatural involved in it?

Both Midorima’s name and playing style are very Jovian in the Astrological sense. Jupiter in Eastern Astrology is the Advisor of the Gods and he signifies Space and expansion of everything good on the physical plane. Thus, he is often called “giver of great wealth, family, children and intelligence”. Jovian people are also big-hearted, generous, affectionate people. Coincidentally, Midorima is a Cancer, a house where Jupiter is exalted. However, Midorima is not a Cancer Jupiter, but Cancer Sun and his sun is placed in Pusya constellation (the Constellation of Nourishment) a constellation ruled by Saturn: the exact opposite of Jupiter in nature. While Jupiter expands everything from wealth to imagination, Saturn limits. Saturn signifies death, discipline, hard work, limitations and coldness. The juxtaposition of expansive style of play with a very controlled character kind of symbolises the conditions of Jupiter’s exaltation in Cancer. Jupiter is not only exalted in Cancer, it is exalted only when it is placed in Pusya, the constellation of Saturn. Space itself has no shape, it is unfathomable and infinite and to make it usable in the terrestrial level, limitation is required. Midorima’s counteracting character and playing style describe exactly that: in fact his controlled demeanor is the reason behind his excellence.

There is a surface dispassion and control on Midorima’s character. He tries to control everything around him: his chances through lucky items, disruptive behaviours of others and other normal things which are really common for teenagers. It’s typical Saturnian quality to restrict and control but why in such an extensive way? I think, deep down Midorima is easily afraid and fear is something he struggles with all the time. Saturn is also the lord of fear, which further feeds into the restriction side of the character. In a type A character like Midorima, who wants everything to be perfect all the time, the fear actually stems from his lack of confidence for not being good enough. He may appear that he is cool and confident, but he is not: he does have an abhorrence towards confrontations and taking things head on and face to face, which also translates well to his playing side: shooting from far. He is always afraid of something being wrong, which also makes him cling to the “lucky items”.

The child-like hoarding habit of lucky item is an adorable quirk in Midorima’a character, whose interpretation can get considerably dark. This sort of “possessiveness” are the result of dysfunctional childhood. In K-project: Return of the The Kings, Saruhiko Fushimi is a character that had dysfunctional childhood which developed into a twisted possessiveness towards his ex-best friend Yata Misaki. Midorima is not nearly as dysfunctional as Fushimi, but things are somewhat apparent. Midorima appears to have a very sheltered childhood, too lavish and sheltered that overlooked his inner insecurities with his outward brilliance. He had doting, perhaps  overprotective parents who incubated their brainy child to a sanctuary of order and discipline, thus discouraging and curtailing the caprices of a natural child. This developed a chronic dependency on “lucky items” that are supposed to make the day better, like the toy teddy is supposed to protect from the monster under the bed. It is both comic and pathetic to see Midorima from such an angle: the parenting he has been under must have been overcontrolling disguised as affection. Inshort, Midorima is the less comical version of Handa Seishuu, the young calligrapher from the anime “Barakamon” [both voiced by Daisuke Ono]

This also hints that Midorima must also be most emotional of all his peers. Japan is very conformist nation and boys are raised in a very specific ways, showing emotions is considered feminine and therefor is frowned upon on men. Kise may appear emotional on the surface because firstly he is very expressive and extroverted, secondly he is heavily impacted by his elder sisters and has healthy feminine impression on his psyche. Midorima on the other hand is a first born boy in a upper-middle class Japanese family and his emotions were in check frequently so that he could be a stalwart guardian for his decade younger sister. While Kise is shown crying in public after losing match to Touou, Midorima cries in private for more than twice. He is either shameful of his outburst of emotions, or he wishes not to show his vulnerable side. The repression of his abundant emotions creates even tougher outer shell that portrays Midorima with a “Higher than thou” outlook. Aside from feminine, he also has very delicate tendancies like “to file” nails instead of “clipping it” which could have been faster and easier, taping nails with slow pace instead of slapping them hurriedly. Although Kise is the model and works in a domain of Art, it is Midorima’s sense of delicacy that comes out in subtle manner.

the way this got progressively more controversial im obsessedddd 😭 naur bc listen i do like lorde and mayb unpopular opinion but i do think she can sing even if shes not a vocalist however yeah. she did usher in a new style that got incredibly boring incredibly fast and now we're stuck 😭 esp bc when its not executed well it's all just v bland and faux deep and now everyone with rich parents and a guitar thinks theyre a visionary. i mean maybe that's always been the case but. an accent that doesn't exist please im screaming thats exactly what it is!! no one really performs anymore tbh i kinda hope pop punk and r & b influence comes back to the mainstream i mean it never fully left but ygwim. like listen personally i love sad girl music ik it's boring but i do live for it HOWEVER!! what happened to the........groove.........of 2000s/2010s pop - the music that lives in yr brain rent free. the imagery and concepts and the MOMENTS <\3

The Equalizer, 2014 with Denzel Washington in the main roll. A man who does his work and does it cleanly. Always has an eye on his clock

The whole DaVinci code ensemble.., Tom Hanks, really good movies, great books. I like church stuff and conspiracies so I love these.. (+ illuminati, inferno)

Transcendence, Johnny Depp and Morgan Freeman. Some rich smart technician guy... dies? I think... He figures out a way to upload himself into a computer network and thus doesn't die and.. shit goes down

Siberia, 2018, Keanu fucking Reeves (aka one of my absolute favourite actors ever. No srsly. Watch Constantine. I fucking love that movie and Keanu is just 👌🏻 also John Wick but we know that already) watched it yesterday. Very good movie. Lucas Hill, I believe, is a Diamond.. person and works with very rich, very dubious and dangerous people. Something happens, yada yada.. shit goes down... The Russian guy is angry.... tbh I hated the ending but it's still a good movie

I forgot another one but I also don't know if it's available everywhere and if it's dubbed but they made my favourite book "Abgeschnitten" or "Cut off" into a movie and even though the book is much better, the movie is still pretty good and has, with Moritz Bleibtreu, Enno Hesse and Lars Eidinger, two really good protagonists and an amazing antagonist!
