thinking about dr Orpheus in vbros and how his main deal, other than being a dr strange expy and a single father is that his wife divorced him for a younger, more family-focused man.

it isnt the magical world separating them, which is the source of his and his daughter's conflict, his ex-wife is a sorceress who even still attends events he holds with her new beau. they even co-parent triana, with triana free to choose who to live with.

anyways. Orpheus' interpersonal issues always arise with how much he focuses his life on his work, people he loves end up feeling neglected and unconsidered (ex: trianas convo with him about her closet, and how he keeps making her forget).

Orpheus IS a loving man. He WOULD go to the underworld to save those he loves. But. He is so good at his work, in the mythology I don't think he is an Orpheus who looks back.

He doesnt look back, and so the people he loves feel unloved, and they leave him in the world of the living
