people get soooooo mad when other people tell them that engagement should not be the end all be all of your creative process because to some degree its the one thing you have absolutely no control over so to obsess over likes and retweets or reblogs or whatever is really not good for you in any way shape or form and its like Well ok if you dont want to hear that then girl go be miserable in a corner idc

#like ? ok. for context the original qrt was on somebody doing the usual complaining about #[art that had a lot of time and effort put into it] 4 rt 7 likes #[art that was a stupid hashtag relatable doodle] 30k rt 100k likes #or whatever and its like Well ok fine you can keep making these guilt trippy posts but its not gonna make more people reblog your art #so im not really sure what the end goal is here. Lol #like to some degree just how people make fun of dudes who get mad at somebody for not drawing what they want them to draw #you cant get mad at people for not engaging with your art the way you want them to. like youre not owed that.#and like yes i understand the frustration of putting a lot of time and effort into something for it to get no recognition.#Im gonna be honest i dont think a single artist on planet earth doesnt know how you feel. so its not coming from a lack of understanding #but also we gotta face reality at some point or another. people've been making those posts since the beginning of time #And Well not much has changed. So kinda who gaf. make art for you and your 2 friends and nobody else #and the world will be a more beautiful place for it
