some stupid party got you exactly where you always ended up. in ellies truck. it made you so fucking angry the way she always swooped in to save that day like she was some superhero, like she was doing you a favor. you couldn’t blame her too much, you always gave in like a lost dog finding its owner.

part of you Needed her to save you, the unfortunate truth you weren’t ready to unfold, its one you couldn’t face in fear of what it might do to the wall you’ve spent Too long already rebuilding, 7 months and 13 days of rebuilding to be exact. you tell yourself you’re not counting, its just an estimate. like this, its just friendly, this is what friends do. they drive you home. you’re not even that drunk, you knew you were getting into her car, you knew you were letting her right back into the place you needed to keep her out of the most.

her eyes were straight on the road with her knuckles around the steering wheel. you looked at her, freckles splatted across her face like god himself hand picked each one. “youre a fucking idiot you know that? all over that guy? you dont even know him. he couldve slipped something in your drink, youre gonna get yourself killed.” she spat venom through the atmosphere, turning everything sour like she managed to do every damn time.

“fuck you.” you spat back. it wasnt worth it, never was nor ever had been. but ellie argued either way.

“what? you still cant handle the truth?” she piled on, it was like a never ending mound of what you did that she didn’t like or approved of, it pushed your buttons in a way ellie knew it would. when you spend enough time together, the memories you’ve engraved into your head don’t expire. ellie knew you like she practiced your coding. every nook, every cranny, every corner, every place she knew and altered as she pleased. ruining you every time without so much as an apology. it angered you so much, for someone who swore she didnt care, it hurt.

you looked down and fiddled with the hem of your dress, hyper focusing in on one thing so you didnt burst like a can of shaken soda, youd been on the edge of your breaking point since you had broken up. so many words you didn’t say, so many words you wish you didn’t say.

“cant speak now? what? have too much to drink? bet you remember that guy you were all over. probably remember him more than you remember anything about me.” she pierced daggers right into your pressure points, only fueling the fire that endorsed your temper.

you took a breath before turning your head to look at her. “you dont have the right ellie. youre a fucking loser. you know that?” you looked right at her. the way you knew she despised when she couldn’t meet your gaze. “i dont Need you to save me, we’re long past that. what i do and who i do is none of your god damn business!” you threw your hands into the air finally letting yourself lose your calm facade, not missing a beat in fear she might cut in and ruin what you know you Need to say, for yourself and maybe its a plead. you dont think, only spoke.

“youre acting like when we were together you didnt drink your ass off every fucking night. sitting on My couch, watching My tv, crawling into My bed pissed out of your mind, you dont have any idea do you? none?” you breathed heavily with tears in your eyes looking Right at her before moving your gaze again to meet the hem of you dress. knowing the battle you say is with ellie, is actually with yourself. its one you always lose. “im so fucking m-mad at you still..i dont need this, or to see you at all…id listen to silence and see nothing but black just to know id never get confirmation you still existed..i cant stand you..” ellie stayed silent, the way she always did. white knuckles gripped over the steering wheel, her jaw clenched, but you see the gloss over her eyes. you see the way she breathes like shes making sure its the perfect rhythm.

you closed your eyes, the silence was so deafening you thought you got your wish, but she opened her mouth proving you wrong and teaching you once again to not get your hopes up.

“you want me to got care anymore? you fucking got it.” she put it simple, you should be grateful but you cant seem to be. its your weakness, and its one you’ll never strengthen, her weight always dragging you back down like a purgatory, but your shackles will never be lifted, so potentially its a sugarcoated way of calling it hell.

you turn to look out the window. “thank god.” you utter under your breath, a chunk of your soul hopes she doesn’t hear, of course she does. “dont ask me to pick you up at 11pm anymore. im not coming.”

she makes a good point, a great one even. one that not even you could manage to figure out if you tried.

“then stop picking up.” its all you say, its all you Needed to say. you glance at the way shes losing internal fight in the torn up seat of her truck.

“you know i cant do that..” she whispers as a single tear falls from her eye. she tries to wipe it away with the knuckle bound to her thumb before you see. “i know.”

“then why? why pull me in to push me away? why?! why do you do it?” you fall silent, its a conversation you hadn’t prepared for, but its a hole you dug so long ago it feels like centuries, but like every past, it catches up to you. its something so long overdue it churns your stomach like a knot in a rope you cant seem to unravel. “what am i meant to do ellie? come crawling back to your doorstep and repeat everything i spent so long trying to mend myself back together over? seeing your face is the worst kind of relapse. its a reminder of what i worked for, to self sooth for months and act like kissing someone else doesn’t still feel like cheating. i do what i Have to do ellie, i cant plead with you, not when youre not mine and im not yours, because just like you. i have no fucking right..” your voice shook with emotions you didn’t know you we’re still capable of feeling.

ellie doesn’t try to hide her tears anymore, its pointless. its something rare, something you so selfishly cherish. its like feeding a sweet tooth that cant be settled unless you have empathy, you crave it every day knowing you never got it. you tell yourself shes crying for You and not yourself, its the fix of what will get you through this conversation, through tonight, and through next week.

“you think thats what i want?” she dryly chuckles before scoffing, using her pointer and thumb to wipe at her tear ducts. you fucking hate it. “you think thats what i want? i want you to be happy believe it or not, even if its not me. but god damn, it kills me seeing you with someone else and you dont even Care.”

you take her words as something thats malicious, but deep down somewhere in your heart you know its just the truth, maybe you’re not ready for this, you might never be. “you made that decision a long time ago. its out of my control now.”

her face hardened and her eyes stayed put on the road ahead. “you gave up on me. you put everyone else and everything else before me, was i supposed to stay?” she breathes out through her nostrils. you looked at her like she had said something outrageous, like it was a life altering claim.

“thats what you think huh?” you scoffed rolling your eyes and crossing your arms over your chest looking back out the window.

she raised her voice, her temper always did run thin. something you didn’t miss. “yeah, it is!” she bit the inside of her cheek and took a deep inhale.

“no ellie. i tried, and thats what you never give me credit for. i tried to help you get sober, i payed for your rehab bill so you could come back home to me, but the first thing you did when you got home was snort a line before you even looked my way. we’re not dogs, i cant lick your wounds and tell you they’ll heal, i had myself to worry for. you put drugs above me, so i stopped trying. i stopped begging you.” she fell silent for what you hoped would be the last time tonight, you watched the way she went to speak but shut herself up.

her voice still appeared a few seconds later. “i know i was an addict, i know i fucked up but you gave up on me regardless.” you looked at the tense expression she had as she drove, not even sure if she was driving in the right direction anymore. as much as you

ok so im the same guy that mentioned the soren and lukas parallels so im gonna copy-paste my ramble from discord

first off using my headcanons for the characters im mentioning:

lukas [he/they/she]

soren [he/she]

anyway:

first off: his parallel with soren. lukas is a complete and utter coward at first, similar to soren. she usually freezes in place instead of running away, but especially when you confront lukas about his friend nearly setting reuben on fire, he deflects the blame and says that reuben seems just fine. sure, when you bring lukas with you one the wither storm is unleashed they're a little too eager to step up and lead, which COULD be seen as an act of bravery, but i see it more as lukas behaving in a way that's familiar to them. she could be a bit frustrated when anyone else is trying to lead, and literally tries to tell you and axel, the people that her friend group has been bullying for probably a WHILE now, that you axel is going way outta line when literally confronting him rightfully for this behavior. sure, the argument got a bit too heated and lukas nearly left, but lukas was really the one out of line when trying to lead a group that didnt want, nor need his lead. lukas isnt just a parallel to soren because of his building skills: its because of her, at first, cowardly nature, and their unwillingness to take the blame for anything that he's caused or at least been apart of. where this gets even more interesting is lukas' character arc, where he begins to actually get braver. she offers to genuinely help out more, instead of having this utter desperation to be apart of something familiar, like a friend group. when everyone gets into the end, they offer to lead the group to safety instead of petra, seeing as they're very sickly. while yes, he seems a Little bit desperate to do so, this more seems to be for petra's safety rather than a personal gain, like getting jesse's trust. when the wither storm dies the first time, lukas is actively wanting to go out and find her friends, and literally RETURNS with them if jesse lets her leave, helping save jesse and gang in the process. lukas' story arc is about a coward turning to bravery and selflessness, which is a direct opposite to how soren's story plays out. and i just think that's neat.

i think she's just neat. ok. the fact that she starts out as an enemy of jesse's gang and slowly becomes part of the group. while soren starts out as part of the order but distances herself and just becomes unrespectable by the others [except ivor] after running away in fear from the second wither storm fight. soren actively makes himself the victim of the situation after spending so long in isolation, a situation that HE caused, mind you. lukas, similarly, sees that he has no fault in anything at first. he's an incredibly awkward insecure loser once you get to know him, but that part is so incredibly surprising because you're immediately trained to think that lukas is an arrogant piece of shit with no interest in actually being friendly towards you. soren is ALSO an incredibly awkward insecure loser off the get-go, though can also be arrogant and comes off as a bit of a know-it-all, again refusing to take blame for anything that happens, ESPECIALLY when the formidi-bomb fails. granted soren has probably had several years alone to reflect on something like this, and especially considering he's been ALONE and soren's general personality, that could absolutely form some sort of bias towards herself. lukas was just surrounded by shitty people in a shitty situation, and once taken out of that environment, becomes a much kinder, albeit awkward person after a while. anyway all im saying is that soren and lukas have a lot in common more than just being the builders of their group because that is an INCREDIBLY shallow interpretation of their parallels with each other. i wish soren and lukas interacted with one another so we could see how they reflected on the other's attitude and behavior but its whateverrrrrrr i can imagine sick and twisted scenarios in my mind ok. lukas would see a lot of herself in soren and i think that would unnerve him just a bit, maybe cause a bit more self-reflection. maybe getting to know soren is what helps lukas dig deeper into themself and go "oh im kind of an asshole. this guy is kind of an asshole. i dont wanna be like this guy, i dont wanna hurt the people i care about" and etc etc. im just a little bit crazy. but also maybe its for the best this never happened because people would interpret them as a father-son relationship :////////////////

regardless im getting mad about fictional things. thank god im cool because i can do what i want and nobody can stop me! anyways soren couldve been a very useful plot device for lukas' own self-reflection especially after lukas leads everyone to safety and that only FURTHERS lukas' realization and change in attitude and switch from selfish to selfless. i keep repeating myself but i do genuinely think this is so underthought about. i havent talked about lukas in a bit forgive me but i have been cooking up sick and twisted thoughts in the back of my brain for a while. this hit me out of nowhere its a VERY half-baked analysis but i wanted to share this with you all because i feel like you guys would actually understand

tldr: lukas ends up surrounded by people she loves and cares for, and they love and care for him as well because he learned from their mistakes and made amends. soren ends up alone because of his own faults and refuses to reflect on herself, which lukas was dangerously close to being exactly like

Denki, Kirishima, and Midoria stared in amusement as Bakugo struggled.

The training exercise had been called to break, the trio told to get their fourth teammate free before joining the others.

The task had been simple, teams of four had to capture the other teams flags, which were strapped to each team captains belt. They had been playing defensively, forming a circle around Bakugo (who insisted he had to be captain, since his quirk made it hard to get too close). Before each match, you went up against a different team, not knowing who you would be up against.

They had no idea Sero had snuck up on the rooftop above them, shooting tape down like a web to scoop up the explosive blonde.

So, there he hung, thrashing and getting himself more tangled. He was tilted at a 50 degree angle, the toes of his boots just barely touching the ground, with his front facing downwards and hands tied behind his back.

“Get me out of this!” He roared, pulling hard at the tape. The group snickered, his thrashing less threatening as his hands were pressed against his elbows, meaning he couldn’t set off explosions without hurting himself.

“As soon as I get out of this, I hope you know I’m going to murder you.” He growled, twisting and turning. He attempted to scrunch his chin down to bite at the strap of tape wrapped across his chest.

Midoria smiled, approaching with caution. “Okay, we’ll get you down. I promise it will be okay.” The green haired boy didn’t miss the red gracing his friends features, he was clearly embarrassed about being captured so quickly.

Bakugo sneered, forcing himself to stay still. “You think I’m worried, Deku? Do you think I’m seriously so weak I’d be upset by this?” Midoria paused, making an exasperated face. “Well, I mean, you’re not exactly being calm about this either…”

Bakugo roared again, prying his hands from his arms just barely enough to fire off a few sparks. “SHUT THE HELL UP! YOU BASTARD!”

Midoria jumped back, hands up in defense.

“Will you just let us get you down?” Kirishima chimed in. He waited for the sparks to die down before approaching and placing a friendly hand between Bakugos shoulder blades. “The longer you fight, the longer you’ll hang here.”

Bakugo paused, then hung his head, muttering, but not fighting as Kirishima began picking at the tape with his other hand. He nodded the other two over, both quickly starting to do the same.

The silence of concentration fell over the group as they worked, feeling for tape edges, carefully picking up the ends with their nails and gently peeling it away piece by piece. Bakugo still twitched occasionally, tensing and huffing.

Denki was at Bakugos left, working at layered straps along his side. He felt for the edge, finding it resting on top of his lower ribs between his back and his side. Just like before he began to scratch, trying to lift the edge.

Bakugo lurched away.

Denki stepped back, worried he scratched a bruise. Bakugo began to shout.

“What the fuck do you think you’re doing, idiot?? How dare you betray me while I’m trapped!!!” The three stared, confused.

“Im sorry man! Did I hurt you?” Denki asked sincerely. Bakugo, surprisingly, blushed deep red.

“You know damn well what you did! Just get me out!”

Kirishima and Midoria looked at the electric hero, watching as he started to grin.

“Ooooh, right. Sorry.” He said, still smiling. He went back to Bakugos side, acting like he was going to work more carefully.

Instead, he found a gap in the tape.

He scribbled his nails right into his exposed side.

Bakugo thrashed again, but Denki didn’t back off. The explosive blonde gasped, but otherwise remained silent. Denki snickered.

“Ah, sorry bro. Does this tickle?”

Kirishima grinned and Midorias jaw dropped.

“I totally forgot! No wonder he’s so squirmy!” The redhead laughed, approaching as well. He did start picking at the tape again, but made no attempt at being careful. Bakugos thrashing increased, strained sounds finding their way out of his clenched teeth.

“Wait, how did you…? I mean, he told you?” Midoria asked, still staring. Kirishima chuckled.

“No, he didn’t. But when you spar with someone enough you get to know their weaknesses.”

A laugh slipped out, but the rest were quickly contained. Deku stepped up, smiling softly at his friends.

“What are you looking at?!” Bakugo managed to get out, a few giggles slipping out with it.

Deku grinned.

“I would watch how you talk to me while you’re like this. We grew up together, remember?”

Bakugo paled visibly.

“Wait, that’s right!” Denki said, looking expectedly at Midoria. “You must know all the tricks!! Tell us! How do we get him really laughing?” Kirishima nodded in agreement, grinning.

“Well, once he breaks, he can’t recover. Even if you give him a break he can’t stop.” Midoria reached out, gently fluttering his fingers around Bakugos neck and ears. Bakugo snorted, shaking his head. He had a smile crawling its way across his face, nose scrunching.

“How do we get him to break?” Kirishima asked, reaching to ruffle Bakugos hair affectionately.

“You can either keep it up, play the long game, and he’ll break, or you can go for a bad spot.” Keeping one hand at Bakugos neck, Deku guided one of Kirishimas hands by the wrist down to his hip. A mischievous glint flickered in the redheads eyes.

“If you’re going to murder us when you get out of this, just make my death quick, yeah?” Kirishima said, squeezing the tissue, testing.

Bakugo squealed loudly.

Different from his usual laugh, he sounded genuinely happy. Out of control, yes, but happy. He laughed from deep in his chest, tossing his head side to side and grinning widely.

Denki reached across to have one hand on each side, scribbling with vigor, while Kirishima knelt to squeeze his hips and thighs. Midoria kept his place around his neck, shoulders, and shoulder blades.

Bakugo kept his eyes squeezed shut, feeling some relief as he let himself laugh. He tried to kick, tried to fight, but he couldn’t get away. His protests came out as incoherent babbling, laced with too many giggles to really be understood.

He could feel his heart racing, his shoulders shaking, but oddly he could feel his muscles relaxing as well. He was embarrassed, sure, but he didn’t feel unsafe. And it was nice to laugh so freely.

Not that he would tell them that.

Fuck that.

Kirishima and Denki, despite tickling intently, still picked and pulled at the tape. As Bakugo thrashed, he could feel the restraints loosening. Peeking, he could see the pile of tape getting larger on the ground around him.

Bakugo forced himself to relax, stopping his squirming and going limp. The trio stopped for a moment, worried.

“Just get me out.” He panted, still giggling. “I’ll stay still, keep going.” The three looked at each other, Deku grinning.

“Tickling also makes him very compliant. If any villains find out about this, it may be his downfall.”

The three snickered, Bakugo keeping his promise and hanging limp.

Starting again, he laughed freely and fought the urge to struggle. The faster he got out the faster this was over.

So he hung.

He giggled.

He snickered.

He cackled.

He squealed.

Then he yelped as the last piece pulled free and he dropped into Kirishimas waiting arms.

Kirishima let him lay there for a moment, holding the giggly heap of a hero. His hair was more of a mess than usual, red eyes glistening with mirthful tears, face flushed. The three smiled.

Then the blonde promptly exploded.

The three bolted, scattering in different directions as Bakugo scrambled to chase them.

“I TOLD YOU I’D MURDER YOU ASSHOLES!! COME BACK HERE AND DIE!”

okay now that ive posted that thing on my art acc im gonna talk about chimera vivian here for a minute bcus i brainrotted to a friend of mine last night but i think its good if my ttyd followers know about the au lore

(LONG POST AHEAD. BEWARE)

it takes place and begins right as the party is to fight gloomtail. the party is fatigued by then and , to their dismay, they can barely handle him. he is more powerful than expected. in an unexpected turn of events, gloomtail eats vivian. without her, the party simply cant continue. so they flee

and while the party has fled the palace, and trying to reconcile a plan, the shadow queen that was destined to awaken within the palace soon eventually arises and begins to wreck havoc while the party is recovering from their loss. though, she is still weak, so she remains in the shadow palace , working away at what she can while inside it.

once the party has the courage and willpower to return, they finally defeat gloomtail in an effort to retrieve vivian first, but. as expected. shes not completely there

unsure who would be the one to do it, but one of them definitely ends up needing to use a spell or a certain type of magic to bring her back, probably. perhaps they encounter a friend who can use certain spells, like what theyd need. that will reverse stuff like. say. a friend getting killed and eaten by an actual dragon (time reversal magic ... ? much to think about ..)

of course it would go as expected; weird and massively backfire, because vivian is not your normal everyday individual, and neither is this dragon, both technically being under the shadow queens influence (in vivian's case, she is, a shadow. so inherently related to the shadow queen whether she likes it or not)

and then of course once ""vivian"" gets revived, its obviously not her. the party is super conflicted, and unsure what to do, so they once again flee, after just letting her do her thing for a bit (and accidentally kill many people in the process) as they are quite dazed . so is vivian, to be fair

once she finds the queen, vivian is luckily not as friendly to the shadow queen as falin is to thistle

even though she knows shes meant to follow under the queen and obey her every order, she also knows something is wrong. but since she isnt completely herself, and cant nessesarily think for herself, she cant make use of this anxiety. so she just tries to avoid the shadow queen when she can; unfortunately the shadow queen likes to use her as a sort of. large display pet/guard dog. chimera vivian is basically a giant ball of anxiety and sadness and confusion that sometimes manifests as blind rage.

her relationship with gloomtail during this whole ordeal is also very difficult and different, i think

instead of being kind and understanding in the way that falin is, vivian is scared and confused, and eventually lets her anger out at gloomtail, making him feel guilty the longer they stay connected. hes upset that they had killed hooktail, but he specifically starts feeling guilty bcus vivian technically didint do anything + shes also a shadow. so he accidentally did some overbearing friendly fire, even if vivian was working with mario at the time he ate her. oopsie

the way they change vivian back to normal? once they defeat the shadow queen she turns back. because shes sealed away, all the magic she cast on the world fades, as her influence is no longer thriving

majority of the au is just essentially the party trying to find those who can help them with their "needing those who can revive and manipulate dead people" problems . though once they do find them it wont be over

they wont be able to free vivian from gloomtail until the shadow queen is defeated, so they have to find a way to free vivian from the queen's influence first, and hopefully help her regain her memory in the process, so they can use her against the queen and have her on their side again .

Flint and Eira for the powerscaling thing? I feel like theyd be a pretty even fight but im curious what youd think!

oooo ok. first off i'm gonna say this fight takes place at room temperature to keep it even. i think when it comes to the more technical aspects of a fight id say theyre on equal footing, though maybe with a slight adavantage towards eira because hed be using a sword while flint uses his fists. however no matter what kind of sword eira uses (metal or ice) flint's fire is a good counter. if its an ice sword the fire will melt it which both would weaken the sword but also even if the sword is physically quite strong the melted ice could slip down to eira's hands and affect his grip or decrease the friction on the floor. if the sword is metal flint could heat it up which would either burn eira or force him to drop the sword. it would also probably be quite easy for flint to set fire to eira's cape or scarf which would give him an advantage. conversely eira could also use his cape to put out fires but i dont know if that would work as well. generally eira comes from a cold climate so his clothes are probably pretty flammable. so i dont think eira could win using purely swordsmanship

on the other hand flint isn't wearing too many clothes so it could be possible for eira to try and like. freeze the area around him, maybe freeze parts of flint's body to induce hypothermia. one symptom of hypothermia is a decrease in oxygen intake, which could also affect flint's ability to take in oxygen and breath steadily, which would both disrupt his fighting style in theory but also his ability to create fire, since fire needs oxygen.

however we do not know if eira would be aware of all of this stuff immediately (maybe if he hung out with river long enough)

ultimately i'm going to say, in a friendly sparring match eira would probably win (though it would be very close) and if they want each other dead probably flint (though also very close. and flint would probably still get hypothermia or frostbite)

they honestly ARE pretty nothingburger-- curious had a thematically satisfying fight with toga but i feel she wouldve been a better one to keep around than, say, trumpet (sorry trumpet) but thats because as story constructs they have very specific roles and i think its fine! id like to know more esp about geten bc he ended up tied to the todorokis but i think they serve their purpose

however comma they do bring very interesting ideas to the table. actually for a very long time i deeply disliked geten for the whole. you know. darwinism thing. but after his last appearance i was like now hold on. hollllld on. this is very different from endeavors flavor of power obsession lets reassess this situation.

and his backstory is just really sad to me like we knew he hadnt gone to school because of his training but theres something about how sentimental and sympathetic he is when discussing it in 387 that it kinda clicks that hes a man (or boy) that has literally nothing other than his quirk and is not basing it on a hatred of weakness but rather on a desire to have a society that eliminates the seemingly arbitrary systems that resulted in his situation in the first place, and then you start thing about the OTHER implications, like okay, wait, schoochildren in japan start school at six. this means redestro came into possession of geten before he was six years old

hes also deeply aware of the condition of his family line and how he got there. to me, this reads not as him REMEMBERING these things, but rather him having been TOLD these things, likely by redestro. (which i could go on about and the name geten itself but) and its like, okay, well why would redestro tell him that? and you go, okay, hes never been to school, he knows redestro only as his benefactor and savior, he has no job, his family is not in his life, and you go

this child was isolated and used solely for his quirk, and says that without it, life has no other value-- because his life, in terms of assets or social capital, quite literally does not, a fact he is very aware of because of the man who benefits from him training his quirk

im not gonna get into the meta about each member of the mla and how they discuss liberation its long but either way, after hearing geten talk about the himuras and how peoples hearts need to change to accept the changing landscape of abilities (with the himuras bigotry contributing to their downfall), its like, oh my god, he thinks hes making a MERITOCRACY. which is very different from authoritarianism. which is not to say that his ideas are all coming from a good place like hes noted to be more than willing to commit friendly fire for the goal like if its not a "strong protect the weak" situation it is simply that "everyone has the opportunity to become strong and if they dont thats their own fault". its a ridiculously childish view of the world and entirely restricted to a narrow world view that was cultivated by the person who has complete control over his life and again, benefits directly from his disregard for human life and active willingness to kill en masse. woah!

You have been friends with Tex and Johnny since you moved schools, which was back in 3rd grade.

Johnny has always known about Tex's little "Crush" on you.

Tex thinks it's not obvious and thinks nobody can see it when he looks at you. And he also thinks it's just a "Small" crush.

But trust me, that boy has no idea that you have him wrapped around your little finger.

There is a boy in your class, he comes from a rich family and he's very friendly, you occasionally talk to him.

He VERY funny- well obviously not as funny as your two best friends. But funny enough to make you laugh.

All Tex could do was sit and watch as he made you smile and laugh. He was supposed to be the one making you smile. He loved your smile and he didn't want to share it with Big Dollars over there. He didn't crack a single joke during class.

Which did not go unnoticed by Johnny.

"Hey what's wrong buddy, you didn't make a fire today or anything." He said, leaning over his buddy's shoulder.

He looked towards you and "Mr. loverman", frowning as he wanted to cry.

He was angry, not at you. He could never be angry with you. But he was angry with your new rich friend and how much you liked him.

It was the end of school and he patiently waited on you by the class door.

Your friend walked up behind you, scaring you before you started smiling.

The guy walked away and Tex looked at you.

After all, he has always been sensitive and never could keep his emotions covered up, unlike his brother.

And he felt ashamed.

All he could think about was how pathetic he felt, not being able to put beautiful diamonds and gold into your hands in just a snap.

He couldn't help but feel like he wasn't good enough and he wasn't ever gonna be yours.

"Well, I mean it's kinda obvious that I'm no match for Mr rich guy. If he makes you happy then it's okay."

He looked down at his feet, not wanting to meet your eyes.

He felt weak, not being able to give you anything you've ever wanted.

All he ever wanted to do was make you happy but Mr Big lots beat him to it.

"Tex.. Are you..jealous?" You smiled slightly.

His face turned a harsh red.

"No- Im not. I'm just..." He couldn't finish his own sentence.

"Texas." You said, throwing your arms around his neck.

His face is close to a red light.

"Has anyone ever told you about my little Crush on you?" You ask, smirking as you ran your hands through his hair.

"What?" He question, very shocked at your words.

"Texas McCormick. You are everything a lady could ever want. You're sweet, handsome. And I hope you know, that I have no interest what so ever in him." You said, finishing your sentence by pressing a kiss to him lips, which he kisses back immediately.

color coding time :) jesss I have so many EoW screenshots. if tumblr didn’t have a limit of 30 I would post all of them all at once. There are quite literally hundreds of them, and I was just trying to focus on the new echoes and item I got and the bosses that show up, plus some additional ones and doubles. There are around 700 EoW screenshots on my Switch. And I can only export 10 of them to my phone at a time. Excluding all doubles and non important screenshots, I still got hundreds to get on my phone. And I haven’t even finished the game yet. Granted, I am on the last dungeon so it seems, so. Yeah.

Also, I’ve been obsessed with asks blog lately, I do know why. I’m only following like, one and a quarter of those. After I finish EoW I’m very tempted to just make an EoW Zelda ask blog. I do have a lot of near future projects tho, but it’s just seems like it would be soooo fun to do.

Additional thought, who do you think out of the LU Chain would Eow Zelda and/or Link be the most friendly with? I don’t know too much about Rift yet, but he seems like a very quiet, sweet, kind and thoughtful person, which makes me think he’d stick by Hyrule, Four and Sky. Because yes they’re Links and they’re all crazy, but those three to me seem a bit more on the quiet mischief ‘I started a fire 🥺’ side than the loud explosions and screaming side. I think he and Time could also get along well, and I could see him and Twi just sitting somewhere quiet enjoying a view

As for her not taking M’s advice or lying to her, I think there needs to be a deeper look into why that is. I don’t think it’s b/c girlie thought what she was doing was wrong necessarily; but more that she felt she would be judged by M or that she couldn’t be trusted. (Which considering she thinks that Charles is cheating on her and N has been a suspect I would understand. Posting trust in even one person like that can have lasting repercussions for all relationships l) From personal experience, there are 100% friends that I would have no problem telling everything; even if I knew that they wouldn’t agree with what I was doing because I know they would still have my back. They might give me crap for my choices, but best believe if my baby daddy kicked me and my child out of the house there would be no question that I would be able to crash for a bit. Not to say that I would be ready to filth (lovingly) while I was there. And let’s remember that it was advice, just because you give your friend unsolicited (I’m pretty sure it was unsolicited) advice doesn’t mean that they have to follow through.

its after the gmgs and probably during the dragon king festival that sting realized he really liked natsu

like natsu kicked his ass in that 2v2 and i feel like most dragon slayers would find that hot so he probably started to realize his idolizing of "the salamander" has turned into a crush around then

which made him a bit more angry at fairy tail and a bit more willing to try and fight them in the final brawl. where he, again, got his shit wrecked. and not even by natsu

and during the festival when nearly everyone was bandaged up and already running on fumes natsu was one of the few who wasnt nearly that bad

so when the fight was nearly done and natsu was able to be on the ground and not flying on a dragon he was the only one who could move quickly

bc sting nearly got impaled by falling debris an there was no chance he could move out of the way an ultear had long since turned back time already an there wasnt much light he could hide in

natsu was able to shove him out of the way and the debris only grazed their legs. gave sting a concussion, falling down on the brick road with all the force of natsu fucking dragneel in a protective state, but that was better than death and oops there goes my heart

natsu woulda had no thoughts before that. the most hed think about sting is as a friend in a lesser way to gajeel, since they both started off "bad" but gajeels in his guild and sting wasnt so. more time to bond with gajeel

when sting ate rogue's shadows natsu could feel it. hes fucking unconscious, yeah, but hes also draconic and demonic fire. he can feel the presence and absence of warmth. so when warm light meets warm darkness, he can feel it

it absolutely did not help that little "are you a dragon or a demon" thing going on in his core but it did pull him towards the right answer faster than canon. just more painful and it just kinda sped the whole thing up more so natsu was burning up on lucy's back before they could fully get to porlyusica

the realization wouldve come at the end when everyone had time to share their side of the story. saying "im neither. im human" doesnt really affect your instincts and whatnot. hed already be looking between rogue and sting when someone mentioned they were doing something after he had passed out

he had long since realize rogue's shadows could be cold and warm. he figured it was rogue doing something wacky while sting did something wacky. learning sting fought through starvation, ate rogue's shadows, and beat someone up WHILE STILL FIGHTING STARVATION. and it was ALL FOR NATSU. his heart went soaring. even if he just thought he was amazed and/or proud of how far sting had come. so he,,,, didnt actually realize it

when sting realized, he also already thought natsu and lucy were together. hence his constant idea that hes just gonna be the idiot pinning in the background to an obliviously thickheaded, taken man for comedic relief

when natsu realized-without-realizing, not only did he not actually realize it, but he just kinda. shrugged. and he started wanting to get to know sting more and train with him more and fight with him more but like. thats just typical friendly behavior to natsu

and sting actually let natsu do all that. he let natsu pull him away from guild master work to talk and train and go on quests and whatnot. but it just meant that sting could throw flirts straight at natsu's face and get either a too-serious answer, a too-joking answer, or a blank stare bc what in the hell does that mean

sting would walk over to lucy at some point in time and be all "look your boyfriend is far too fucking dumb. i love him but i respect that you two are together but also can i go on fake dates with him. please think of the comedy of me, sabertooth's master, saying i go on dates with lucy heartfilia's boyfriend. thatd be so fucking funny"

but then lucy just looks at him and is all "my,,, my what? are you saying natsu's my boyfriend?"

sting would look back at her and nod and hed be confused bc. what does that mean. and when lucy starts busting a gut laughing her ass off hes even more confused

when she finally calms down shed say "natsu's more like my dumbass friend who couldnt tell the difference between flirting and shit-talking in a fight. i cant deal with something like that in a partner. hes all yours"

so sting gets excited. hes thinking about all the dates and all the gifts and all the funky little pickup lines and then he realizes just what lucy said and he realizes that not only did she immediately knew who he was talking about. meaning hes already so fucking obvious. but that natsu straight up doesnt get flirting. which is also obvious but to have it confirmed

he had run off after quickly thanking lucy. so when he realized this he was already way too far away. his hearing sucks but he KNOWS lucy is laughing her ass off and honestly he would be too if he wasnt the one smitten with a dumbass

sting would just say fine. whatever. all those fake date ideas he had were just going to be real dates whether natsu would say they were or not.

sting even kissed his cheek one time. natsu saved his ass on a quest. again. for the like eighth time. but this one was actually a mistake and not the dramatized little mess ups sting does sometimes to see what natsu would do. so he thanked him with a kiss to the cheek and natsu just SMILED and said "that's what friends are for!" WHAT.

sting didnt even know how natsu couldnt tell the difference between talking smack and flirting

until natsu "talked shit" in a fight and THAT WAS FLIRTING. THAT WAS STRAIGHT UP FLIRTING NATSU WHAT THE FUCK.

when the training had finished and natsu said that sting just. went on a rant. about how different shit talking and flirting was. he went into details. he gave examples. he made sure to start trying to kick natsu to make sure he was paying attention because their adhd asses liked to just look off at butterflies every fucking second without something to do

sting got so riled up he started throwing white attacks around at natsu. natsu started throwing fire back but he was asking questions that just KEPT. MAKING STING. SO ANNOYED. BECAUSE HOW HAS NO ONE EXPLAINED THIS PART OF MODERN HUMAN BULLSHIT YET.

it was when stings voice got so scratchy and his throat got so raw that he finally stopped giving natsu a fucking crash coarse in modern romance. he stopped fighting and back on the ground. and it was silent

until natsu walked over, straddled stings hips, and said "so... all that time we were eating and talking and fighting, you were trying to mate me?"

and sting drags his hands down his face and looks up at natsu with the least impressed expression he can while honestly very embarrassed. he cant even say anything again. so he just nods.

"yknow you couldve just said 'hey, want to be my mate?', and i wouldve said yes"

happy and lector, who had taken to the sky the moment they started using magic, just sigh when that made sting start sputtering. natsu probably didnt even fully realize what that meant. but the exceeds are just glad the long and torturous slow burn is finally fucking over
