Alive Hugo Headcanon/Theories

Hey, first of all I’m kinda surprised there are so many fans of a story on Reddit. I’m all for it though lmao.

“I’m a guard stationed at a secret government prison” is like one of my favorite stories I’ve ever read. I was listening to The Dark Somnium’s narration (for like the 4th time) while reading along and I couldn’t help but wonder if Hugo could still be alive.

We never actually see Hugo’s death, all we know is that Kael gave him a nice goodbye, but for all we know Hugo could have just fell unconscious or something. Now I love Kael, but is it possible he maybeeee could have stayed by Hugo’s side for a few minutes before leaving, thinking he’d die any second?

My first theory is basically Kael bit Hugo turning him into a vampire. Now you may be thinking “but wouldn’t Kael say something when the battle was over or ask to go back for Hugo?” Well what if he did it accidentally and didn’t know he did?

Now we know from Kael’s backstory that to turn someone into a vampire you basically need to bite into their neck. In part 3, we see Kael use his fangs on the Gladiator’s shoulder and tore a chunk out so he can also use it as a weapon.

But what if Kael meant to use it as a weapon but accidentally made Hugo a vampire? In part 2, during their fight, it says that Kael “bit into his neck” not his shoulder, not his arm, but his neck. I’m not totally sure how that whole vampire thing works but assuming it depends on the type of bite, intentional or not, Kael could have accidentally bit Hugo a specific way or in a specific place that would turn him into a vampire.

When we see Kael getting turned into a vampire, he passes out relatively quickly after the bite. While Hugo is human (sort of), he has that weird power that could possibly delay or maybe even prevent him from passing out. In part 3, he does pass out after the battle, that could just be because of his wounds but it could also possibly be because he was bitten and the passing out was just delayed. In part 3, Hugo stated that he generates the same as any ordinary man. If he can’t regenerate fast, how could he already be able to walk by the next time we see Hugo and Kael? Hugo gradually turning into a vampire would also explain how he miraculously stays alive even after being beaten to a pulp. It would also mean that Hugo’s still alive although badly injured.

My second theory is that Hugo’s power just basically saved him.

In part 2, the main character (does he even have a name?) states that Hugo’s ‘holy mission’ was basically to kill everyone including himself.

Hugo says something on the lines of “God won’t let me die until I finish out my holy mission”.

Now I’m pretty sure by the end of the story there’s still people alive so that would mean his ‘holy mission’ wasn’t completed, correct?

Yeah my second theory is pretty straightforward anyways.

cat person defo 100%, why? cause im a cat person and i have a phobia of dogs but if gun to my head im forced to be analytical, he is probs a dog guy since he would have closer contact to dogs due to his previous job as a cop, he would probs like dogs more because he either got saved by em on the job.

yet again i can make a case for him preferring cats due to his chill personality would mesh better with a cat-

idk man. im thinking about, after it's all over, hugo referencing what kael told him about how he'd show him the beauty in the world, and being like. it's rather prideful to speak of yourself so highly, but i see what you mean, you are a truly beautiful soul. because he sees all of the world's beauty through kael since kael was what started him not fully wanting to destroy everything so he associates anything Good with kael. and this is the first time kael has been able to see himself as a good person in so long much less hear it from someone else. idk im just having emotions rn.

overthinking about “I'm a guard stationed at a secret government prison“

ok so i found a few fans of the story and that lead me to realizing, why the fuck am i approaching this like a normal fandom? this is a banger creepypasta that most people just listend to and were on an adrenaline high for like 2 days and moved on, and those of us who went insane over the great story or our blorbos(adrian for me) couldnt really do anything about it since the fandom is desolate and there is no fan content. also here is the best narration of the story:https://youtu.be/SKnt8Ni3gLs so my idea is to do what i plan to do in the zombie apocalypse, jump into a radio tower and scream my every conscious thought until people think"huh myabe i should have strong opinions on obsecure creepypastas" anyways im gonna start an unhinged rant about what im gonna call now IGSSGP since that is less annoying to say. ok begin in..... 4 3 2 1!!!! keal and hugo fight versus kentay is geniunly the best fight in the story, like come on!!!! a monster hellbent on justice is a good way to describe kael and hugo but it fits no one better than kentay, like the words were made solely for him! so watching them fight what they could have become had they gone a bit more insane or free its kinda the whole "you and me are not so different" kinda deal but kentay is too insane to say that so oh well, also hugo's death was so fucking disrespectfuldont understand why kael couldnt just turn him into a fucking vampire like COME ON MAN!!! im guessing kael was too fucked up to reach hugo in time as he was just a pulp of beaten flesh at the time which is just terrible and tragic. also adrian is just a great example of the limp dick villian, he is superior to all the basic humans and he takes a pleasure in that fact! he is an astro coke head with no concept of empathy or deceny and just pure raw hedonism keeping him running. also i hc him as a misognystic incel. keal is a bottom. its very clear kentay's experince in the evolution ritual pretty much shaped him fully in the present story, basically he needed something to keep him sane and he clearly fabricated an idea of justice in his head to keep him going through the insanity of the ritual and i really wish to understand what got him obssessed in specifically justice i also think its fucking hillarious that kael tried to bite down on kentay's neck......like dude we don't know how your ability works a single bite could turn him into a vamp instantly and you could have a motherfucking super adapting vampire muscle beast god the idea is genuinly the scariest thing i can imagine good fucking god. anyways thats most of what i thought see yall next time in my unhinged rants
