Indian media's collapse has meant that serious issues such as unemployment do not get the attention they deserve. Joblessness is not framed as a question of political accountability but is couched in technocratic language and buried in a maze of data and conflicting claims. Those who intruded into parliament reportedly told the police they were upset about high rates of unemployment. Youth unemployment in India is at around a staggering 23 percent, the highest for any major global economy and nearly double that of neighbouring Pakistan and Bangladesh. For graduates under 25, a report by the Azim Premji University estimates, this number rises to 42 percent. IT firms such as Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro have announced they will reduce the hiring of engineering graduates by 30 percent-reducing it by 40 percent from the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology-leaving thousands of freshly graduated students without jobs. Since the onset of the 2022 funding winter, 34,785 employees have been laid off by just 121 Indian startups, with 15,247 of them fired by 69 Indian startups so far this year. An improvement is unlikely. Pranjul Bhandari, the chief India economist at Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation, estimates that while India will need to create 70 million jobs over the next decade, it will only end up with 24 million. Put simply, India's demographic dividend has turned into a demographic disaster.

sometimes i feel frustrated by the people in my class. like yes money is important but we all have enough privilege that we can pursue stuff apart from engineering & medical line (i'm in science stream in india). like this is the time you can try to figure out what you want but no one's even interested in researching all the various opportunities we have. it's a heavily perpetuated mindset thing i know and btw i'm not talking about all the ppl in my class, just most of them. maybe they're more okay with ending up in a job they can tolerate and maybe i just can't relate, because not doing something i genuinely want to pursue is my nightmare honestly. like why does everyone hype up IIT sm, don't get me wrong, it's an amazing achievement if u get in & i don't want to undervalue that at all, but even stuff like IISc is undervalued in relation. and god forbid i tell ppl i want to pursue smth psychology-related because oh no that's just where the kids who don't know what to do in life and can't get in anywhere else end up like 1. that's insulting asf and 2. i wanna do BSc but ugh that's such a new field in india

I think I don't want to pursue IIT atp. Doesn't feel like it's my purpose but do I have any other skill? Nah
So will I just emotionally and mentally exhaust myself into its prep? Yeah
MORAL OF THE STORY: please don't "i have done so well till 10th" into JEE Prep and take time to think and ik most times parents won't support u. But think before u choose.

"DROP " when you drop something it usually means letting something go, but ironically in an aspirant's life it means to hold on to something, it means to hold on to the belief that you'll catch your seat this time ,it means you're not ready to let go off your hard work , the notes you stuck on your wall are still stuck in your head , the facts you mugged up you still murmur in your sleep , and most importantly you still want your dream to be fulfilled, you still have hope .

You can't do this (While studying)
Tumblr media
How many times you have told yourself, "I can't do this!"
I can't memorise so many formulas. I can't understand advanced concepts. I can't visualise. I can't solve difficult questions. I can't understand book language. I can't sit for long hours.
You know what! Did you ever study this hard before in your life? Have you ever been dedicated so much to anything in your life before? Have you ever been so mature and serious in your life?
You are doing most of the things the first time. JEE is a difficult exam. You are forced to do difficult things. But ask yourself, "Don't difficult things make us realise that we are more powerful than we think?" You must have at least some good things in JEE. For example, that one chapter, concept, or subject you are an expert at.
We give up easily. We need to give more time to overcome each challenge. When a student says he can't memorise formulas or reactions, most probably, he hasn't worked hard enough on it. He might have tried remembering a few formulas one day. He forgot them, and now he says that he cannot memorise. With this low effort, even an expert cannot memorise.
When you are doing something for the first time, you need to push a little bit hard. You need to give it a bit more time, a few more attempts. Once you crack the technique for yourself, it comes naturally to you. Slowly, you get used to it. For example, the student understood the technique to memorise better. He applied it and did a lot of hard work. It took a few days, but he saw improvement. Then he tried memorising other chapters. Slowly, he became an expert at memorising things. He even forgets that there was a time when he struggled at memorising.
Guys, there might be some things that you feel you can't do. Push a bit more, and you will realise that you are much more capable than you think. Gradually, you will develop confidence and self-respect as well.
I can't You can memorise so many formulas. I can't You can understand advanced concepts. I can't You can visualise. I can't You can solve difficult questions. I can't You can understand book language. I can't You can sit for long hours.
All the best!

Hello fellas! Today I woke up a Lil late, that's why I am running a little late on my schedule. I completed a much awaited lecture of chemistry and it was fun. I am loving my life lately, it's been a good couple of days. I wish this feeling doesn't goes away. Studying is so much more fun when I track my progress. Now, Ima go solve some practice papers of physics, our teacher told us to be regular with solving questions, so I'ma follow him blindly. Anyways, that was it. Have a good day y'all 💚✨
