Even more TLoS stuff for today's dragon!! I felt kinda bad for drawing Spyro knocked out last time so I wanted to draw him again to make up for it.

I never expected to draw any of the guardians (I didn't find them particularly interesting characters and I'm not a fan of their designs), but I felt like this scene was a good candidate to draw, so you also get Ignitus!!

Happy Spyro Community Day everyone!

For the day I decided to draw the Legend Elders as Reingited Elders! Each represents a different homeworld. Ignitus is an Artisan who specializes in Raku fired pottery. Cyrill is an ice mage who lives in the high peaks of Magic Crafters. Terrador is a fierce general who lives in Peace Keepers. Volteer is a Beast Maker who became obsessed with the electric tech the Gnorcs left behind. Finally the Chronicler is a Dreamweaver who specializes in manipulating time and dreams in order to help guide heroes.

Up top, we have Actual Adult Cynder, looking after her egg and worrying about her ability to be a mother.

And down below, we have some rough sketches for how I imagine Spyro and Cynder would look as young adults. I have some notes for my thoughts on them below the cut!

Cynder

She still bears a little resemblance to her corrupted form, but not as much as she feared she would. Her corrupted form is giving "Child But Stretched" and rather exaggerated in terms of what an actual adult female dragon would look like. She's quite grateful that growing up doesn't mean being reminded of her past every time she so much as sees her reflection.

She got more spikes as she got older, and does not develop any extra ridges or markings related to her elements. Maybe her wings would change slightly, though. Her corruption messed up her development a little(and I didn't know where I would put such things without crowding her markings...), so some things don't come in on time, or ever in some cases.

Spyro

As I said, I am firmly in the "Ignitus is Spyro's Father" Camp. As such, as he gets older, Spyro starts to take after the late Fire Guardian in terms of appearance. There are small differences, of course, some from his mother and others just unique to him.

The angst potential of Spyro occasionally seeing Ignitus as he catches glimpses of his reflection. Mostly in windows, where he can't always see his purple scales, or in the dark. But also, the more fluffy idea of the two reuniting on the White Isle, and Ignitus commenting on Spyro's growth of/when Spyro visits as an adult. Saying nothing of their resemblance, they can both see it. But just a fatherly comment about how far the young dragon from all those years ago has come...

My personal designs for adult Spyro and Cynder. I like to imagine Ignitus was Spyro’s father, and Cynder got spikier as she gets older (since I feel like her ANB adult design is more child but corrupted). Spyro takes on the mantle of Guardian (fire in pic, but perhaps aether?) and Cynder serves as an ambassador for dark dragons.
