Erzsébet design is just dollar store Ultimecia.

I don't think this was on purpose, lol. I think the people who work on nfcv are so disrespectful of video games as a medium, and never play them, and are hacks in general, that they think their first idea is immediately bound to be superior. And it's just a low rent version of a video game villain most people consider a dissapointment.

Final Fantasy VIII gets a lot of flak that's in bad faith, but it's story falling apart in the third act, is unfortunately true. And yes, a big part if that is how Ultimecia, is a 4th grader with mommy issues idea of an epic villain. The entire plot technically centers her bwahaha scheme, but she herself is basically not even a character.

And her design is indeed kinda ugly and forgettable, and its attempts to be sexy are tasteless. So yeah. They literally just re-created everyone's least favorite video game antagonist, in an attempt to create a "Superior to Stupid Video Games" antagonist, lol. Good job everyone.

(FFVIII was actually my first FF, so I didn't go into with the expectations a lot of people fresh off of FFVII did, and I have a lot of fondness for it. That being said, Ultimecia really is one of the most boring aspects of it imo, and it's a shame how much the game has to build up to her reveal bc she's such a nothing-burger of a villain. She feels like a last minute replacement for more interesting antagonists)

I almost forgot how she also does, in fact, combine herself with a lion deity lol. Stupid furry aspects forever.

Erzsebet's final transformation looks like if the Cats broadway show tried to go in an edgier direction.

I cannot overstate how Erzsébet is a child's idea of a villain. The show wastes so much time hyping her up as the biggest evil who ever evils, a terrifying harbinger of death and destruction, the Vampire Messiah Who Will Eat The Sun (no really), who deadass drank the blood of Sekhmet to become something akin to a goddess, something so utterly monstruous that Dracula is peanuts by comparison...

And then this is what she looks like in her final form.

What is that onion hair. What is that dress. What is that cleveage. Designer. Designer are you alright.

I don't say this lightly, but she's more ridiculous than fucking Ga'ran from Spirit of Justice

At least her spider motif was kinda cool.

And I would complain about her personality too, but they forgot to give her one, so eh.
