Last fanart of 2024.
A happy new year 2025.
Too all my friends and inspiration.
This year was very interesting for movies. This year might also be the year I avoided most of the popular opinions, as, I gotta admit. With the movies this year, a lot more people felt more toxic when it came to new movies this year. I just wanna have fun with my crossovers, and I think the fighting over which movie is better kinda weighed me down this year. despited KFP 4 wasn'that perfect at the end, some movies were decently good and some friends having some new characters as anthro (The Wild Robot, but i find it interesting, but learn to respect that hc), but it doesn't matter i have a good year and brand new crossover fanart for this. And new thing to earn more money and popularity on 2025.
Wish me luck!

If (2024) is for the maladaptive daydreamer girlies and the teens that refuse to grow up.
This was a wonderful wonderful movie, it was magical and fun and the soundtrack was just MWAH CHEFS KISS PERFECT.
I will warn you though I sobbed my eyes out. A lot.

Hot take, but Internet Movie Reviewers have ruined what ripoff actually means
Don’t get me wrong, there’s definitely rip off movies that exist (literally anything made by Video Brinquedo is a ripoff of either Pixar or Dreamworks, Mac and Me) but sometimes, it feels like movie reviewers online just throw it around for movies that have similar concepts
Like, no, The Hero of Color City is not a ripoff of Toy Story just because it uses a similar concept of “inanimate objects come to life when their owners aren’t around” Hell, The Hero of Color City and Toy Story don’t even have similar plots or even story themes. Toy Story’s themes are about childhood and growing up while The Hero of Color City’s theme is conquering your fears.
Also, IF (2024) ISN’T a ripoff of Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends. Literally some of the only similarities is that both are about abandoned imaginary friends reconnecting with their owners, that’s it. Youtube Movie reviewers made the term ripoff seem like “if this piece of media heavy inspiration from this other piece of media, it’s automatically a ripoff!”
I just wanted to get this off my chest

I saw IF yesterday
First off, I completely understand why this didn't click with critics. This is a movie that takes the "avoid exposition at all costs" rule to an extreme level. It also has a big twist may or may not rub people the wrong way. Not to mention, it's not an entirely original family film with several of its plot points being done before.
However, I am a sucker for "adults reconnecting with their inner child" stories. Not to mention, I can tell that's what director John Krasinski was trying to invoke here. He wants to make one of those "old-fashioned" family movies from the 90s. If that's not your cup of tea, skip this one.
I do want to point out that the acting here is incredibly top-notch. Even the main child actress gives an incredibly believable performance. Not to mention it's nice to see Ryan Reynolds play a character that isn't so "Ryan Reynolds." Some of the voice cast can feel a bit like getting celebrity names on the poster, but the main ones really become their characters.
Speaking of which, I love the IFs. Every single one of them has a totally unique design. They all look like they come from different movies, which is fine by me since they're supposed to be imaginary friends. I want to hug Blue so bad.
So, in conclusion, I liked it. Yeah, it's basically if Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends the movie if it was directed by Steven Spielberg in the 90s, but I can appreciate it for being a homage to classic family films. If you like stuff like Jumanji or Hook you might like this. Also, looking at the film's box office, I understand why these types of movies aren't really made that often anymore. But I have a feeling 20 years from now, this movie will have an incredibly nostalgic fanbase.
