At first I was horrified at what happened to Panda during the culling games but it was such a good choice.
Panda, in his small state, is so cute. The way he's climbing on people etc is just... Gege said "sorry if your favorite character died! But here's a baby panda". I love him so so much. I'm so glad he survived and is a baby now.
If panda had all 3 of his cores, or even 2 of them, then he would have sacrificed himself in Shinjuku. Panda was always putting himself out in front, as a shield for his comrades. He's so forgiving, so accepting, so compassionate, just like his father, even if he doesn't understand humans and thinks they're gross. I wonder now if Panda would have been capable of a talk-no jutsu with Sukuna. The fact that he is a panda, a giant plushie, makes him more approachable, it would feel less vulnerable to be real with him.
Some time ago I went into some analysis on Yaga - that, as the principal, he was tied down at the school. He put his effort into making a cursed corpse that could act on its own, without him. He designed Panda quite intentionally - the pandas are such a comfort animal. But ultimately, they are still bears, and able to fight, especially with his gorilla and dinosaur cores. I think that Yaga's choices were determined not just by his absence in the field, but the loss of Haibara. He wanted to protect the students, to give them an ally they could be comfortable with, and trust to protect them. Yaga risked his own freedom for this. It's like Geto said - Yaga seems to be this tough, calloused guy, but he is actually so compassionate and has a better sense of ethics than those whose orders he's supposed to follow and pass on to his students (calling Riko's merger with Tengen "erasing her").
I wonder if what happened with Panda, along with Tengen, is representing age regression. That... Is a post for another time. But he lost Yaga, and then he lost parts of himself. His strength, his power, his core.
And as far as the closure on what happens to him regarding the cores - Gakuganji would, I think, handle that. His villainous behavior stemmed from following orders. And with being at the top himself, he needs to make his own decisions, knowing that Higuruma is watching.
I'm not sure whether it's necessary to have 3 cores forever - or just when the corpse is forming, because the three souls give rise to autonomous consciousness, iirc. I wonder if it's possible for ghost possession of a dead sorcerer. But ultimately I feel like panda will be fine, and we have enough closure on him.

I remembered this was my blog and I could talk/rant about whatever I wanted so I decided to share my thoughts about 11x13.
But specifically Hank's hallucination of Al and specifically the line "Is this what it felt like?"
There's definitely quite a few emotional moments and lines in this episode but that one by far hit me the hardest.
Hank was dying, bleeding out and had come to terms with the fact he was probably going to die. And while I know it was for practical reasons and wanting to bring Al back at some point, if you look at it only from the characters POV, Hank was dying and the person he hallucinated in what could possibly of been his last moments, wasn't his late son or wife but his best friend.
And I just think this says a lot about Al and Hank's friendship that we didn't really see in the show or was really put into words. Al cared so much about Hank that he took the blame and sacrificed his life without hesitation. And Hank loved and missed Al to the point HE was the one he saw while Hank was on the verge of giving up.
But anyway back to the specific line. This also says a lot. The way Hank looked down at himself and his stab wounds before looking up at Al and asking "is this how it felt like" AND Al not answering. Like man...
I think it's clear Hank blamed himself for Al's death and I feel like Al not saying anything and just kind of shrugging was the answer. And it probably hit Hank hard. Like yeah he knew how Al died and that it wasn't a walk in paradise, but experiencing what actually killed his best friend (especially since it was to a lesser degree because Al was stabbed like 9-10 times) would've fucked with Hank.
AND even if Al was a hallucination, he still saw Hank experiencing what he did. Like idk if it's just me but that line is so incredibly sad and meaningful. I feel like I have more thoughts that I can't put in coherent sentences lol.
And getting in more of my personal thoughts, I've always felt like that part of why Al exactly took the blame of Bingham's murder is Al didn't think he had anything to live for. Lexi was dead, him and Meredith clearly weren't doing well, Michelle was nowhere to be found, etc. But Hank had the unit and people that counted on him and Al obviously saw that.
You take that and than add Al hearing that Hank was ready to go and give up like Al did. So Al reminds Hank that Hailey isn't ready for him to die. I wonder if Al wishes somebody reminded him he had things to live for too...
Anyhow if you read this all than I'm very happy. This was just the thoughts that have followed me for months since the finale came out haha.

Aaaa okay I've finished the novels now too. Gonna put my thoughts down on them and how they compare to the tv version
So overall I think I like the novels better, the interiority you gain from the format adds a lot I think and it definitely benefits from not having to hold back on things like the gorey side of the supernatural elements (and yes, the gay as hell elements). I think that same lack of restraint in the writing adds a lot more comedy - while I thought the tv version was very funny, I found the books hilarious, and I think a lot of that is down to not having to pull punches on how outrageous wei wuxian gets to act, which is the core of the comedy so much of the time. I also felt that the ending was a lot more coherent, which makes sense given how much was cut out of it for the tv version, and obviously it's nice to have a confirmed post-canon marriage and continued adventures! The post-story cases were a lot of fun, I think some of my favourite parts were getting to see the two of them interact with their little gaggle of juniors and help guide them, it's very sweet.
As for criticisms, I have to be honest, the more mature scenes really weren't for me. I wasn't a fan of the blurry lines of consent (it felt like the aim was consensual non-consent, but... it still didn't sit right, especially some of the dream sequence stuff) and a lot of it felt fetishising to me, but then I suppose it's something to be expected from the genre, so I can't complain too much about it. I liked the fact that the in-universe homophobia was acknowledged and taken into consideration, but sometimes it felt like it was being played for titillation rather than taken seriously - again, though, genre conventions. It also felt like there was an underlying tone of colourism to the character descriptions, but honestly you could probably level that critique at the tv version as well. These were things that soured the experience a bit for me, but the overall read was still positive, and I did really enjoy the story even despite knowing what was going to happen already. It's a good tragedy when you're reading along thinking "maybe it won't happen this time" lol.
I find myself a bit confused as to what wei wuxian's actual cause of death was - obviously the tv version makes it very clear cut, but the book only calls it "spiritual rebound" and doesn't really elaborate or directly show anything from after the massacre, so it felt a bit vague. I suppose the idea is that he lost control during the siege and was torn apart by his own power? Not sure if I've missed something there or if it's just not very clear. It's not a huge annoyance but I was a bit surprised they didn't get into it more than passingly.
Anyway overall it was a really good read, and now I get to go read all the good fic that's out there :3 It's even poked my writing itch a little which hasn't happened in ages - idk if I'll actually follow through with it or just keep my musings to myself, but it's nice to have a nice big brain space to play in after a long time of not having one. I'm glad I finally got around to this after seeing other people talking about it for such a long time, it's been a while since I had a series grab me like this so it's been a lot of fun.

So like. As amazing at the tma has been about fat acceptance and love and has been absolutely vital to a lot of my self acceptance as a fat trans man, because this fandom actually talks about fat people (as opposed to other fandoms where fat characters and hcs are nonexistent), it means it’s also exposed me to the most and worst fatphobia of any fandom. I genuinely don’t even gaf about the actual discourse discussed in this fandom, it’s generally the people who negatively react to discourse of ppl complaining about fatphobia. The initial problems are usually ignorable to me, but it ends up bringing up peoples voices that make it incredibly clear what their true thoughts about fat ppl are. Idrk why I thought I should share this with you, ig just seeing if you have similar experiences.
I struggle here because i don't like to feel like i am attacking other artists. i'm a hater and i love to complain but i know i have my own short comings. but when it comes to the fatphobia in this fandom im always left not knowing how to talk about things because people will come to me and tell me why my complaint about someone thinning out a fat character is wrong or bad.
do keep in mind i dont really engage with the tma fandom as much i feel very much on the outskirts so this is jsut what i feel like i see on my end and i'm sure theres way more going on i simply dont know
in recent months we have had a newer influx of artists in the fandom who have come in with their own interpretations of the characters which is all fine and good. its jarring sometimes when we become so used to these formless characters looking a certain way that when new people enter the fandom with different ideas it feels wrong and like an attack.
the biggest issue has been people drawing a thinner martin. and while of course everyones welcome to their own interpretation and martin expressing that he's not exactly the smallest guy has multiple ways to be interpreted it is extremely frustrating to see people take that as giving him the most bare minimum extra weight. especially when having a fat character as desirable and as a love interest and such a Fun character is so far and few between
i could go on and on about how each time a popular artist posts a thin martin it gives everyone who looks up to them the excuse to do the same and it's why it's become such a prevalent thing lately. i don't think popular artists should have to worry about being good role models or anything in a fandom i think if youre making art you should do it for fun but it sucks to see when someone becomes so influential and are creating a problem. i deleted like three paragraphs on this alone so i'm going to move on.
i think what i see in the fandom most in regards to fatphobia is a skill issue. people don't know how to draw fat characters. but it also feels like people are barely trying. the artist i have in mind who i would consider to draw skinny martins DOES add a bit of roundness to him. i can aknowledge theyre doing SOMETHING. but you can't come to me and tell me that i can't criticize their art because culturally that's fat to them... like sure it could be. but it's also definitely a limitation of their art style and ability and instead of defending them and patting them on the back for doing good enough shouldnt we encourage people to grow and improve? what an amazing asset to be able to draw people of all size and variety. thats an AMAZING abillity to have in youre tool belt. i wish i had more resources for drawing bodyfat but unfortunately i do not. i have learned from looking at people and luckily having a lot of large loved ones in my life i've learned from as well as you know.. my own body to learn from. and learning to draw bodyfat and drawing characters i love with it has done wonders for my body dysmorphia.
i went on a rambling tangent and idk how coherent all of that is but the end point is that fatphobia sucks it has no place in this or any fandom and we need to practice our skills instead of erasing something that has made this fandom so wonderful to me.

the fall of lucifer in spn canon: headcanons and speculations
so all this is just some headcanons based on what's in the show because obviously there isn't a very clear picture painted or i wouldn't have to make this goddamn post. anyway this post will prioritize stuff from seasons 4-7 because when you have a show like supernatural which really does not have a show bible or any worldbuilding rules or continuity enforcement, the longer a worldbuilding element exists, the less sense it makes, because people add to it as the plot demands without looking at the whole picture. this doesn't mean that no evidence will come from the later season, just that they will be engaged with selectively. furthermore, there isn't really a way to use all available evidence even in 4-7 because there really wasn't a coherent picture painted by the writers so anything i say will have to discard something.
okay, with that out of the way.
proposal 1:
this is what i always just sort of intuitively assumed happened. i'm going to list off some evidence.
the implication in season four is possibly? that only the four archangels have ever met god.
angels are soldiers, or at least, the ones we are meeting are.
despite that, they all seem super shocked when angels die, and "only an angels can kill another angel" is a revelation
lilith is the most powerful demon, and she is shaped from a human soul.
azazel's "right idea, wrong angel" speech in lucifer rising posits that lucifer's holy angelic glory tricked believers into thinking the site of st. mary's was holy and kind of implies? that lucifer is 1) metaphysically the same as other angels and 2) maybe the only angel who is an angel-of-hell.
non-archangel angels can fall, but this just means that they become human.
demons are functionally just ghosts with a little more juice. they are not matches for an angel in combat, or at least, not without the assistance of an angel blade (which is probably? a literal piece of an angel. and so qualifies as angelic assistance). we never see an angel go up against lilith or azazel, but we do see angels so up against other slightly higher level demons: alastair and crowley. alastair can take cas is physical combat, but can't kill him. they're not actually equals in this sense. cas tries to smite crowley in the man who knew too much and the only reason it doesn't work is that crowley is protected by raphael. demons - even powerful demons - are not the equals of angels.
lucifer explains to cas that god cast him down, and why. i.e., god was present when lucifer fell, and also cas doesn't know why lucifer fell.
as of season nine, knights of hell, who seem to be outranked only by princes (azazel etc.) and lilith, and are limited in number to single digits, suggesting that those who outrank them are even more limited, also began as humans. see: cain.
anyway, based on all this evidence, my intuitive interpretation of how lucifer's fall went is that it happened when there were only the four brothers, michael, raphael, gabriel, and lucifer, in existence. it happened when god was still present. and only after lucifer fell were other angels created, by the archangels (not by god) (which means probably primarily by michael and raphael? idk though), with the explicit intent of being soldiers in the apocalypse. (it actually provides a fun parallel to the tempting of lilith! demons and angels were created for essentially the same reasons!)
this explains why so many angels seem naive to the realities of angel-angel warfare, and why there don't seem to be any fallen angels in the classical sense (i.e. angels who rebelled with lucifer rather than angels who decided to turn human). this also makes sense in terms of like.... keeping the fall of lucifer as a family drama. god and the archangels are meaningfully a family in a way that the other angels really aren't.
the only real evidence against is uriel's "do you remember how beautiful he was" line in 4x16.
but this also means that lucifer's rebellion can't really be conceptualized as warfare/civil war in the way it traditionally is, and that the civil war in spn season six is the first time that's really happened.
it also means that conceptualizing the season five apocalypse as a "war" as such is a little strange since angels can easily overpower demons. there's definitely some implication that it's an issue of numbers, i.e., battles between angels and demons mean one or two angels vs. hundreds of demons, because demons are a plentiful and renewable population while angels are both limited and non-reproductive, but it's still kind of strange, especially since both knights and princes, the high-ranking demons who seem easily able to handle angels (if not kill them), are so rare. obviously there are other high ranking demons who can maybe hold their own against angels (see alastair) but. hmmmph.
proposal two:
this idea literally came to me as i was mentally laying out my evidence for this post, i had never thought about it before. but the best counterpoint i can think of for the previous point is that cas falls in season five because he's cut off from heaven. not because of his own choice but because heaven cuts him off. he loses his grace and wastes away until he's basically human. so if lucifer did actually lead a faction of angels in a civil war. potentially that would have cause them to fall in the supernatural sense. meaning that they would have become human and died and gone to hell. meaning that some demons (the princes perhaps?) are fallen angels, humanized then demonized. there don't seem to be enough princes though, so maybe the fallen angel demons are more garden variety. or maybe fallen angels go to the empty.
final note:
i am aware that the timeline does not seem to match up on any of this shit at all. cas was present for the first creature to crawl onto land, and yet he was created after god asked lucifer to bow to humans? lucifer's rebellion was at the beginning of time and yet there were human bodies around for his angel soldiers to fall (as in: become human) into? what the hell! well, my answer to that is that imo the way reality experiences time and causality and the way god and angels experience time and causality are kind of different. i've talked about one way this is maybe true here, but i'm also just inclined to believe that like... the version of humanity that god wanted lucifer to bow to was an idea, a concept. that the garden and cain and abel and all of that existed on a conceptual level as a kind of blueprint. that that was both true and they also literally happened on earth because causality works differently for god and angels. and stuff like that.

Mob Vote and Minecraft Updates in General
*Edit:* Warning - Extensive rambling with no through line or halfway decent structure
Idk, I need a place to put my thoughts.
The original mob vote concept was cool, 4 unique and honestly kinda challenging looking mobs, we can vote on which gets added. I'm actually a fan of Phantoms, despite them being a nusiance to most I think having flying mobs is cool and they should add more mobs that just fly about.
And I actually liked the follow ups where the mobs were tied into biomes because it wasn't *about* the mobs, they were just nice tie ins. But at the point we're at now they have to force us to be excited about the "features" these mobs add and while they are somewhat cool features, they aren't really much in isolation.
The Sniffer could've been much cooler bundled with an extensive update to say, the Jungle or Desert biomes, or an actually interesting archeology update.
Or in the Glow Squid case, its a weird single use feature, they could have easily bundled the glowing sign effect into Glowstone Dust.
None of this is to say adding more mobs is the wrong choice, I think the opposite, we need more mobs which just, don't have features attached.
Ambient mobs, fireflys, birds flying overhead, snakes in the Desert, rats around structures, more variety in the oceans (actual variety, the differnt combos of Tropical Fish are a nice touch, but the mob is the same regardless)
Then as you do updates, you can add features to them where it makes sense, but tying the feature to the mob from the get go and then forcing a vote on it just means less features in the long run. And I'm not unaware as to why they do it this way, the mob vote gets people talking, I mean I'm talking about it right now so I guess I'm not helping but whatever at this point we are half way through the vote anyway.
The chatter, even that against the mob vote conceptually pushes Minecraft into our feeds, even the BBC are reporting on Minecraft LIVE and the mob vote cause its a story now.
I will say on a slightly other note, the whole "modders can make this in one day argument" is kinda flat. Modders usually have to make it for one version in one language on one platform. Mojang have to consider localisation, cross-compatibility, actually conceptualising the mob idea, etc. That's not to say Modders aren't incredibly hard working, they usually are, but if you're looking to call Mojang lazy I wouldn't do it based off just that.
This is already a long af post with little coherency but we're rolling with it.
I think really what I want to see, as a player since like, 2012, is Mojang just to make bolder moves in regards to the updates. I want them to change core gameplay mechanics and just, see what happens. And yeah last time was 1.9 and it divided the community into two distinct parts that exist today but we need something like that alongside 2 new wood types.
In regards to recent/planned changes to villagers and the netherite upgrade template, its clear they are trying to lengthen the "midgame" of Minecraft to capitalize on how most people play (that being they have a 2-3 week fixation on the game each year and then stop) This sucks, don't strech your midgame, extend your endgame.
Add more powerful mobs in a new dimension, make a place where even netherite armour feels like iron. I have no doubt it'd be a nightmare for new players so make it difficult to get to (like the totally-not-a-portal-frame in the ancient citys) make the overall gameplay loop of Minecraft longer.
I'm going to stop here for now, if I'm bored/procrastinating studies enough I should actually format some of these thoughts into something.
Anyway, boycott the mob vote, its unlikely to do anything, they truly don't have to care, but people made posters and played Poor Mans Poison over them, can you really still vote after that?

Now that I think about it... I read smut in a straight face on the car with my sister beside me... yet she didn't catch me reading smut... anyways-
I'm picturing a very flustered Nanami. A rare sight.
....i wish to have your power lol. I get so awkward sometimes I just turn my phone off a for a few seconds to just gather myself. I can't do it with others around me and idk why lol
And honestly tho? I want to see flustered Nanami.
Flustered!Nanami whose voice will go an octave higher as he awkwardly clears his throat to try and make it seem like his stuttering is from something being caught in his throat. Flustered!Nanami whose high cheekbones are dusted in a light shade of red as he looks away awkwardly; the tips of his ears burning a lot darker compared to the rest of his face. Flustered!Nanami who finds it hard to say anything coherent to you or add any of his usual boring common sense phrases since you literally turned his brain into mush whilst doing basically nothing. Flustered!Nanami who awkwardly fidgets in his seat, a dead giveaway to whenever he gets flustered since he usually doesn't fidget or act like a middle school boy with a crush.
Just flustered!Nanami T^T

Your Thoughts for OW’s Lore At Blizzcon
**Edit - would help to tag you hurr durr @freckledmccree
I like how you will indulge in detailed speculation and interpretation of OW lore and don’t center all ideas around one specific (noncanon) idea but will admit occasional personal bias. I also really appreciate that you steer relatively clear from fanon and when people respond to your writings you don’t have an attitude or seemingly disregard them. Sooo, that’s why I wrote this disgustingly long thing even tho I’m paranoid about being annoying.
(Apology beforehand if you have answered any of these before, I have not properly stalked your blog yet. Also, excuse my rambling I did my best to be coherent. Lastly, I only have one friend who is kinda into OW and I feel bad to bother them 24/7 so I talk a lot in this.)
McCree Speculation
The following assumes that the new cinematic will be McCree’s.
If there is another known character in the short along with McCree, excluding flashbacks, who do you think it would be?
I have 3-4 ideas even though I would not say they are likely. And with any of these I don't imagine a role any larger than Brig's in Honor and Glory or even Zarya in Infiltration.
A.) Genji. I don't think it's likely but I wouldn't be surprised. It also might be risky on Blizzard's part because many are salty about Genji's abundance of lore compared to others. (Which is dumb and I would gladly rant on it but it's not the point) Reasons:
Notable increase of McCree's interactions w/him.
McCree might've left OW in a less professional fashion than others. Which would mean he may not have anything to be alerted by for the recall. Especially since he went underground for a while.  Winston’s contact info? Long since changed.
From how I interpret “Dragons” it seems that Genji has received the call as well as offered Hanzo a choice to go w/him “The world is changing once again, Hanzo. And it's time to pick a side.” So why not others?
Genji has also been canonically in touch w/at least one other ex OW member. So why not try to get in touch with another member that we know he directly worked with?
My logic - Why would their interactions matter?
McCree's asking about how Genji dealt with the loss of his body emotionally/physically as well as Genji's response leaves room for the implication that Genji knows how he lost his arm.
Why would Genji go in person?
Well, I mean you probably don't wanna broadcast that your getting the highly illegal band back together. In which said band also is also hated by the UN and every other terrorist organization on the planet.
How will Genji know how to find him?
Cause he's a ninja, duh. But seriously McCree most likely said something before he quit OW and if not Genji would just have to look at the news and he'd be there.
B.) Sombra. If anything I wouldn't be surprised by a small reference to her rather than actually seeing her.
Reflections comic (duh)
My logic - I expect Sombra to get involved with a little bit of everything. She likes making people question their beliefs on who is “right” or “wrong”.
She would most likely know about the recall so if she wants to manipulate that at all she could be the one to tell McCree about it. Idk, she’s a wildcard with anything.
C.) Fio. The Blackwatch Pilot in Retribution. (I used “known” characters loosely) I'm not sure on my certainty with her, tbh. But I do find it rather intriguing. (I said no flashbacks but maybe with this one)
Fio's only lines that are not directly related towards the mission are all directed towards McCree.
The tone of them is clearly on the teasing/banter side of things.
My logic - Why have this side character show any interest in conversation outside of the task at hand?
If she was just being used for the game mode and as lore filler it would make more sense to have only lines relating to the mission. Or have generalized ones for the team. But she has multiple focusing on the one and only Jesse McCree.
Reasons for that could be that they ran out of time to add other interactions. Which would explain why McCree does not acknowledge her comments. (The only time he was quiet during the mission is when she talked to him, rip you got denied girl) Or it could be that they knew each other previously or trained together in some of the early days of Blackwatch.
D.) Mercy. This one I would be surprised to see but it would have some logic to it.
Losing his arm, depending on the how/when/where.
She is not one of the characters who speak to him about his arm.
My logic - Who fixed his arm up for him?
Depending on how/when/where he lost his arm he may have shyed away from public hospitals. Especially with Talon  seemingly controlling so much of the press. So he may of wanted someone he personally trusted as well as doctor patient confidentiality.
Why does Mercy of all people not ask about the prosthetic?
Out of the people who question McCree Mercy isn't one of them. Which may seem odd since she has known him for so long and her being a doctor. However, she does call out his smoking. So this proves she does pay attention to his over all health. (Which I am aware is a much older interaction) But it would have been a good opportunity to have her inquire about the arm there if she doesn't already know.
Do you think McCree will directly receive the recall or from some other source?
What do you think of the fact that McCree lost his left arm specifically?
If the loss of McCree's arm is related to the Deadlock Gang do you speculate that it was intentionally the arm that had his tattoo on it? With how far McCree got in his career/life with OW and potentially spilling info on the gang when caught some people might want him to hurt. Not just die. To me forcefully sawing off the branding of the gang he betrayed would fit the bill. As well as be a good warning for others. (Not that blizzard would show that)
How do you imagine the camaraderie within Deadlock to be?
I ask this since in “Hero” right before the Los Muertos member throws the grenade it shows him actively choosing to help the other gang members (very broken gang members thanks to Soldier 76)onto the back of the truck instead of getting out ASAP.
I just found that to be notable in how their social structure works. It makes more sense for Los Muertos specifically since they originally wanted to stand up against the politics and speak out for the people still suffering from the Omnic Crisis. They are not formed from the shady work they do.
Deadlock, however, doesn't seem to represent a core ideology. So I wouldn't be surprised if when OW caught some of them the others ran. Especially since McCree would probably still be pretty low in the pecking order at the time.
Can you imagine a shoot out in the warehouse tho, that'd be so risky people could be anywhere and there's no good line of sight except for where the truck drives through. Sneaky teen McCree climbing around and ish
Do you expect/hope for the origin on any mementos to be revealed?
My only idea is his iconic BAMF belt buckle. We know he's had it for quite a while since he wears it here:
Tumblr media
Just  thought Blizzard could do something cute with it if they wanted.
Do you have any thoughts on the Deadlock Torb skin?
Idk, this is kinda silly but people have talked about it. People do have a good point that it’s odd for him to have that skin.
Lastly, do you have any little head canons that you hope to see confirmed?
Nothing serious just simple personal hopes from the cinematic which may or may not set you up for disappointment cause fun
(When I first started writing this I had two questions, rip. I'm pretty sure I forgot one of the original questions too)
Other Blizzcon Lore Speculation
Do you have any ideas for the new hero?
Personally, I do not have any super strong theories but I do have a few loose ideas. Tbh, I can’t especially convince myself of any these besides the likelihood of said character being a tank.
A.) Talon Tank
Reasons:
Moira’s origin story contains two possible indicators towards this, or another Talon member in general.
We need another main tank added to the roster (opinion)
Talon has a character for every role except tanking (weak)
Popular request (weak)
My Logic lacking- Majority of this idea comes from Moira’s origin story which shows this relatively well known photo with a person or armored suit of some kind on the back panel here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I used to think of this to be much harder evidence than I do now since it looks like it could be a uncolored design used for the Talon members in Retribution. However, there’s another detail in the photo (including the version with the different back panel that I believe could point to another member. Each character, excluding Moira, has their line of sight going to the same spot. My doodles for emphasis:
Tumblr media
(Reaper is kind of hard to tell but that’s basically his entire role in Talon at this point, lol) Who are they all looking at? This could just be an artistic choice for viewer immersion but it also could be rather purposeful. To me, it looks like a proposition to someone, with the panel in the back for emphasis. If not a proposition, perhaps the workings of a plan or setting clear expectations for said person. (either version works for this context) This someone must be rather important to have them all there. Moira is looking back at the rest of them, seemingly reading their expressions/body language. She seems pleased but then again she’s a tad bit odd.
B.) Mystery Characters
Idek, I added this cause I could. This is not likely at all but will remain on the list of possibilities as long as Overwatch shall live.
Have been shown or spoken of very early on but nothing since
Recently mentioned names but no physical hints of who/what they are
Tying up some long held questions (weak)
Popular demand (weak)
My logic (or lack there of) - I have exactly one tiny speck of logic for this. Mystery characters shown and/or spoken of before the cancellation of the First Strike comic are still occasionally brought up to the OW team. Yet they have conveniently  not retconned them.  Why not say they are no longer a significant part of the story when there has been no updates on them for 2ish years? Maybe they are just keeping the possibility open. Liao and the two from Ana’s origin story are the best (only?) examples:
Tumblr media
There is also more recently mentioned characters such as Ray and Fio. Ray was discussed mostly early this year and all we know about them is the following:
Tumblr media
We do not know anything else about who or what Ray is. I do not 100% believe Ray is an actual person but you never know. The comment on the beard and his response to has Ray’s combat experience could be some teasing on Michael Chu’s part. To me, Ray is either a person, an omnic, or some sort of computer system used in the Orca.  I should note that another AI other than Athena would seem odd especially with the whole reason OW formed and all.
(Fio I have already discussed but at least we know she’s an actual person, hopefully...OW is weird man)
What do you think of the common theory of Sanjay Korpal being the next hero?
Personally, I think he lacks the look of an OW character. He looks rather plain to me, almost like a background character used to fill up comic space. I do believe his role is going to grow substantially in the lore but as an in game hero? Eh, I don’t know. Another thing I struggle with imagining is him being a tank like a lot of people presume. It would be interesting with what Vishkar can do with hard light technology to have a tank based on that, I will admit. Just don’t see him filling the role of that, he doesn’t strike me as someone who wants to get his hands dirty. I will admit, that this is very strictly my opinion and read of his character and by no means is anything to go off of speculation wise.
But, if I’m wrong, then next years first cinematic should definitely be a Symmetra/Lucio one and it should definitely have Symmetra kiCKING HIS ASS FOR MANIPUlATING HER foR GOD KNOWs hOW LONG..ahem.
Do you think a comic will be released soon?
They usually put out comics on Wednesdays but they have been odd this year when it comes to them. Idk, if they’ll announce one at Blizzcon. I kinda doubt it. Personally, I’m hoping for a really kick ass Christmas comic since in Reflections it ended with Winston saying he has a good feeling for “next year” (OW’s next year cause timeline) plus last year’s was cute but underwhelming.
I think that’s all I have to ask/discuss for now? I had ideas keep popping up but I kept going back over what I already wrote and my attention span is all or nothing soooo there goes my ideas into the void.
***Random ass question cause you like RDR2. I keep getting a gamestop ad for it and it’s bugging me cause I can’t make out what this guy is saying. It sounds like “I don’t want to kill all you smooth dutch. Just you.” Idk where the exact video is rip, but I feel like I’m really mishearing the guy, lmao.
Non Sequiturs and Stupid Fangirl Squealing
(possibly completely incoherent warning idk how to wenglish when im excited pls ignore mw)
I saw a comic aart thing once and it had young jesse punch Jack in the face and Reyes thought it was the funniest thing and I feel like that’s in character
What if Reyes had a few choices on who to recruit and he was like I want the cowboy chose the instead of the trained older guys. Ana would be like Reyes no and Reyes would be like I want the damn cowboy
I never realised how much I appreciate McCree’s character until the hints of him having a short started popping up. Before I liked him sure, I just never thought too deep into how they could expand on his character. Originally I was just like, “so Reyes picked this kid out of a big ass gang and had him trained among the world’s most renowned soldiers and he still is perfectly content being a cowboy?” Good for you my dudely man, good for you,
wanna see skinny (lean)  young McCree but everyone will want the skin but it wont look the same with his in game model so blegh
I agree with you on how you think reyes recruited him, so many people think he just yeeted jesse at a bunch of angry omnics and was like lol have a cowboy
Imagine McCree being so confused by the weird ass original OW team like y there captain america, my new found father, a dwarf (swede) and an 8 ft german happy meal
He’d be so intimidated by Ana I bench lift Reinhardt for fun Amari being his coach like asdfsdf
But I think with her training it’d be the first real time he let his guard down without him realizing it because he was so in awe of her sniping skills and being able to get taught by her, bonding over shooting people half a continent away yAY
What if we see lil pharah??? I’ll die???
Okay I’ve said this to another  blog but even tho McCree is not my “type” I’m still gonna need to strap my ovaries in place for this short, cause booooooooyyyyyyyyy (I dont even have a type but I guess I mean a lil scruffy?)
