General thoughts: Ive given them in my previous design sheet (you can find it in my blog)(tldr: designs match characters but still childish, 8-12 years old). Only thing different here, is that these eggs were eggs who I had less of a clear idea of what I wanted to do with them (though I still really liked where I ended up!!)

Empanada: Didnt want to go for the full sweet lolita route, mostly because I thought it'd take away the "little kidness" of it all, but something that still resembles the aesthetic. She's wearing "carneirinhos" (idk the name in english) which is very cute little girl to me, and shes also a demon! Her tail resembles a frying pan!! Though I might change her fringe (it was supposed to be baby hairs but now that I think about it, her type of hair probably wouldnt have them) and put some argyle pattern in her sweater vest. I just forgor💀 to do that...I also wish I had made her shorter, but unfortunetely I drew this before the eggs did the height check (YES ITS BEEN THAT LONG).

Sunny: My beautiful baby girl. She means the world to me. I love this minecraft egg with all my heart. Shes wearing Light up sketchers and some fairy wings like Pomme, and shes actually wearing a swimsuit, she just put a tutu over it. The diamonds they're always holding are rings, they have a "terere" in their hair (idk name in english😭😭) and the beads were inspired by an artist on twt (@\BLUETOMATOSODA). Also if you are wondering why her hair looks like tentacles, its because I had originally made it puffy, but changed my mind after doing the lineart, so i had to get creative with me covering it up. Just pretend she has a fan, shes a star after all!

Pepito: Basically, he is very smoll. Chiquito even. He has strawberry hair and MASSIVE glasses that take up his entire face. Hes wearing a swimsuit aswell (dont ask how it works idk either), and has floaties since he cant swim. Hes got crocs, since flip flops hurt his toes, with a spider man charm on them! Also hes got a sunhat, mostly cause I wanted some other accessorie but didnt want to go with gas mask since it'd kinda kill the whole swimming vibe (since his model is wearing a swimsuit). sorry if its not too accurate to his character. Side note: Him, Em and Sunny all have freckles! Him and Sunny all over their bodies while Em just has on her cheeks.

Leo: Cute sporty vibe, love her shorty spiky hair. Wanted to try to make her face spiky aswell, for the whole shark dad thing. Shes got a necklace with a shark tooth (I guess she got it from Foolish??). He changes tshirts randomly, and opens and closes his attack on titan hoodie depending on the tshirt's expression (basically my version of Leo changing her player heads constantly). His trainers have dragon wings and also: whealies!!

Dapper: Im gonna be honest: did not expect to like his design THIS much. The colouring really elevated, with the long blue hair (the same colour as the ghosties!). Wanted to make them, y'know, dapper, so I had to sacrifice some of the "little kid vibes" unfortunetely, but I think it fits her still. The hat has part of the helmet that they used to wear a lot, demon horn to match Pomme, and a suit that is VERY inspired by Death the Kid from Soul Eater (very fitting for a reaper in training imo). Might be my favourite design!

Ramon: Jesus fuck you'd think designing your fav egg would be easy BUT NO. I struggled long and hard. Again, he doesnt have that much "little kid" vibe whatever man😭😭 Im just happy that I even managed to make SOMETHING. Hes got Create googles, his meathead is a massive hat that completely hides his hair. Very simple, very Ramon, though I will probably end up making a version with an ugly sweater just like he likes instead😔. I still like it but. man...

When they have to wash it, Empanada, Richas, and Dapper all go over to Felps' place to have it washed because he has a similar hair type and does it really well.

JuanaFlippa, Slime, and Mari all have matching gas masks. Juana's from her allergies, and Slime and Mariana because of Purgatory

Sunny has a rhotacism

Ramón has a really good fashion sense, and helps Fit out when he goes on dates with Pac.

When Tilín and Bobby wrestle, they try to drag Pepito in but he's too weak to fight (PROJECTING AGAIN, my cousins never wrestled with me because I'm disabled)

Pomme has like, whole bookshelves full of her journals.

Pomme is Muslim, and transitions from a shayla and a hijab, very rarely a niqab depending on the situation (if this isn't like. Accurate. To the Muslim religion tell me, I'll fix it. I don't wanna offend anyone.)

Richas just RAMS people with his forehead when he's playing

Half the eggs have bird wings, while the other half have normal dragon wings. Pomme is the exception, she has butterfly wings

Richas has no sense of personal space, due to sleeping in the Brazilians sleep room.

All of the eggs do speak, but not often. They mostly communicate through AAC devices which serve as tablets and also communicaters. They also use sign language. Also, they all have notebooks to elite in. So to be more accurate, the signs all around are the eggs papers littering the ground

Sunny has chronic migraines and headaches, so she's always wearing her sunglasses for that reason.

The longest Sunny's hair has ever been is to her shoulders, aka when she first met Tubbo. She had it up in a bun to make sure it won't touch her skin. Sunny immediately asked him for a haircut on her first night at his place.

His favorite is an onion, lettuce, mayo, ham, very thin cuts of shark meat, sweet gherkin, spicy pickle relish, and pineapple (I once knew someone who actually ate this. Daily. At lunch. Mauro you're now the inspiration for a minecraft egg) Ramón just blends it and goes lol

Where to even begin

(OP you said it was okay to pour use this as an excuse to pour our heart out, so I'm taking you up on that, wall of text ahead lmao)

She had to live through death once, and even if it was reverted later, she never forgot it. For the longest time she was extremely paranoid and basically assumed that she could be killed any second. (She was proved right again and again, which didnt help) She had like 3 safehouses, further and further away from spawn. She has insomnia, too, because of nightmares.

Pomme is a sweet but serious little egg, and she cares so much about everyone.

One defining feature of her would be the fact that she had to grow up too fast, and that she knows it, and that she hates it. The second she was adopted, everyone and everything around her more or less made her understand that she was in danger, so she grew up anxious.

More than her own death, she worries a lot about losing her siblings and resolved to train up in order to protect them.

She hates mines because it's just making it more dangerous for the eggs for no reason... and it reminds her of the fake Willbur return party and the explosion that ensued. She wasn't teleported away. She was in the middle of the explosion. She thankfully didn't die but she also lived through that yknow

She's a writer! I think it was Aypierre who suggested she wrote what she did every day so all her parents could easily catch up if they didn't connect in a while. So yeah, she writes. A LOT. A fact that her french parents like to tease about, but they also always make sure to read everything.

After learning about the presidential dinner fiasco, and how code monsters took chayanne and tallulah's appearance, she came up with a secret code with her parents to show that she wasn't a code monster. (Giving them her favorite flower, the cornflower)

Nowadays, she seems way less outwardly stressed, but in the way that she got used to it, sort of, but also because she's stronger. Now, when she knows danger is near, she simply gets angry, gears up and prepares herself to get rid of it. She's a bit like Etoiles for this.

Now onto the interactions! Tbh I'm not 100% sure if all the interactions related to the death family are 100% accurate, but at least that's what I percieved:

Philza: she trusts him a lot, because he's Etoiles' friend and a good dad and a good warrior. A trust worthy adult overall. She often turns to him with a sarcastic remark whenever Etoiles throws a Gamer Tantrum that ends up with him rage quitting and her being left alone, and Phil consistently reassures her that Etoiles cares about her. Overall i think she meshes well with Phil because she's a mature kid, similar to his own, and he's a responsible adult, someone she can trust 100%.

Tallulah: she's Pomme's beloved sister! They are both very sensible to the other's emotions and are always supportive. They had a big moment when Tallulah was hurt about Pomme and Dapper joking about being abandonned, and in response Pomme immediately apologized with a very heartfelt letter that assured Tallulah that she was loved and that Pomme would always support her. I don't know how they interact usually, but I know they love and trust eachother very much.

Chayanne: honestly idk much about their relationship, but they do seem to have taken the role of protector of the eggs. The video showing the eggs leaving comes to mind, with Chayanne leading in the front while Pomme walked at the back of the group, scythe in hand, ready to defend the others.

Etoiles: Etoiles wasn't too close to Pomme at first but still made it his mission to make her Unkillable by dumping all of his best gear and items on her. Time did its thing, and now he actively enjoys having her around and it's reciprocated. Etoiles is like a pillar to Pomme. He trains her, he explores dungeons with her, he's her number 1 fan and if anything dares to hurt her, hes there to make it disappear asap. Etoiles promised Pomme that as long as he was alive, he'd always protect her and bring her home, wherever she was... and she fullheartedly believes him. Etoiles is also Etoiles, and he still loves to tease her. Pomme has also become unimpressed by his Gamer Tantrums.

And because I couldn't stop myself, here are her interactions with her other parents:

Baghera: she was the first to really show immediate interest in Pomme and quickly built a bond together. She's always taking into account her daughter's emotions. They are like besties and spent a lot of time building together. Unfortunately, with baghz' lore coma + the egg kidnapping + purgatory, Pomme hasn't spent as much time with her as with other parents, but they still love each other very much. Baghera is the only parent who willingly stayed with the eggs at the end of Purgatory, after all.

Bad: they first bonded via Bad and Bagh's friendship, and little by little, by spending late nights with Bad and Dapper, they became closer and eventually saw each other as father and daughter. Pomme admin's sleep schedule was fucked up for a while, and her french parents teased her for only ever connecting when Bad was there (very late in France, making it hard for them to spend more than a couple hours with her) But yeah, they're very close! With Baghera, Bad is probably the most sensitive to her emotions and always does his best to be there for her. Pomme simply loves to tag along and help with whatever Bad's doing, along with Dapper. They're all in cahoots.

Aypierre: Pomme loves him, but also probably facepalms a lot more in his presence than anyone else's. She had to witness his and Maxo's romance live, and helped to build the furry club, and overall is always a bit suspicious whenever Aypierre wants to show her a 'new project' (But quickly forgets it the moment Aypierre shows her his impressive builds) They do have fun hanging out and building together. Despite not being good at pvp, he always does his best to support her in any way he can, and doesnt hesitate to spoil her if she ever needs something. He would probably burn the world down before hurting her.

Kameto: there was a moment where Pomme angsted a lot about Kameto and why he wasn't there. She started thinking that maybe, he wasn't there because of her, because she's a bother. Eventually, she stopped talking about it, but its still a sore subject to her. I think if he showed up again, the angst would probably resurface even harder, but for now, she's focused on protecting her siblings and trying her best to be happy.

Antoine: like Etoiles, he wasn't that close to her at the beginning, but still took his responsibility as a father very seriously, wherever he could help (he was the one who went to manually teleport Pomme to her room when NINHO's system failed during an attack). He's blunt with her, and always talked to her like to an adult, honestly. They had a tough conversation after her first death, him trying to explain to her that life without death doesn't really have meaning, but then again. She was like 1 week old lmao. He (almost) never lies to her, and he trusts her to never lie to him. Still no fighting skills though, so in terms of safety and protection, it'd be more accurate to say that Antoine is Pomme's egg.

Pomme is going to appear in my fic I'm writing! I know, similarly to Chayanne, she's passionate about being strong and protecting her siblings, and like Tallulah she enjoys flowers, but not much else!!

Hi holly! If you don't mind could I maybe get your thoughts on this? While I think Oswald absolutely still loves and misses Elijah, I also think he believes his father wouldn't love him if they had met while Oswald was truly himself, which is why he often just mentions Gertrud as being the only one to love him truly unconditionally. Or is it just poor writing that Oz doesn't mention his dad as much?

Gosh, this is a GOOD QUESTION/THOUGHT.

Hmmmm.... when he was taunting Sophia about Falcone not loving/respecting her, Ozzie does say that he can’t relate because his PARENTS, plural, ‘loved me unconditionally’ (that’s during the return of Martin IIRC, when Ozzie fakes Martin’s death). That would suggest that he perhaps DOES believe that Elijah would have loved him no matter what, even if he’d been a full on violent criminal when they met or if he’d returned to being one when Elijah was still alive. But then again, he may have just been saying that to taunt Sophia and it wasn’t an accurate reflection of his true feelings. So it’s really up to personal preference how you read that I guess.

Something relevant to this, I think, is how Ozzie was always SUPER ANXIOUS to keep the truth/depths of his criminal acts/nature from Gertrude, just as much as he later tried to keep his criminal past from Elijah. That suggests to me that, actually, a large part of him lived in very real fear that GERTRUDE wouldn’t have loved him (anymore) if she knew about his violent/criminal urges. It was only, I’d argue, in those last few moments before her death that he was dissuaded from this fear, since Gertrude’s loving behaviour towards him remained the same, despite the truth of his criminal escapades being revealed to her and despite him outright saying in front of her that he was going to kill Galavan (or whatever he threatened).

Considering that.... hmmm, the way I see it, his fear that Elijah wouldn’t love/accept him as a violent criminal really just MATCHES his previous feelings about Gertrude...

And I do think that his late night conversation with Elijah where Elijah talked about their family having a history of ‘demons’ acted similar to Gertrude continuing to display her love just before her death. Because that was all about Elijah saying he understood Oswald struggled with dark urges, but that he accepted him regardless. Obviously there was also a lot of talk about Oswald leaving his criminal life behind and not acting on said urges, so you could interpret it as implying Elijah was accepting of Oswald only because Oswald was fighting his demons/darkness (or at least that this was Oswald’s take away from the conversation). But, idk, I always got the impression Elijah was reassuring Oz that even if he did grow violent again Elijah would still love/accept him, because he understood (or at least believed) that such behaviour was simply a family trait (curse?) Ozzie had obviously inherited. 

There’s also other little things Elijah did that implied very much to me that he was accepting of Ozzie’s criminal life/behaviour - eg. when Grace shows him the newspaper article about Ozzie’s life as Penguin, Elijah comments positively about he didn’t realise Ozzie had been such a dapper criminal (or something like).

Soooo.... I think, for me, overall, I do feel that Ozzie believes Elijah, like Gertrude, DID love him unconditionally and would have done even if Oz had been a criminal when Elijah was alive. BUT, Ozzie’s general issues of self-worth (which are connected to lots of other things as well, not just fears of his violent urges/behaviour being criticised) very likely makes him DOUBT this on a more emotional level, just like he doubted Gertrude’s ability to love him as a criminal.

...which is a long way of reaching the conclusion that, yes, I AGREE with you :p But at the same time I don’t exactly. I think logically Ozzie recognises Elijah loved him as unconditionally as Gertrude, but emotionally he can’t quite accept the fact in the same way he was able to with his mother BECAUSE, ofc, Elijah ONLY ever knew him when he was reformed/brainwashed, meaning he never had those vital few moments with Elijah that he did with Gertrude before she died where he WAS a violent criminal but still loved.

But that little technicality aside - I think it very much works that he wouldn’t talk as much about his father because of that niggling doubt/fear over Elijah’s love for him, yes! 

Although I also think the minimal about of time he knew Elijah should not be discounted - they knew each other for only, what, a few WEEKS after all? Even taking into account the deep love Ozzie obviously immediately developed for Elijah in that time, the impact Elijah had on Ozzie’s life simply COULDN’T be as emotionally/psychologically deep and significant as Gertrude, you know? So, even without fears about Elijah’s love, it... generally makes sense that Ozzie would fixate more on Gertrude still to me (with the naming the sub and the choir after her and stuff) - he may love and continue to grieve the loss of his father, but it’s always his mother he will want to honour.

(oh additional - there is, ofc, the added fact that he was, indirectly, responsible for Gertrude’s death, which may be another reason he feels a need to honour her memory via public means in a way he doesn’t for Elijah? ie. he feels he ‘owes’ it to Gertrude?)

I wouldn’t call it ‘bad writing’ in any case :p

(.....although, at the same time I will say that I suspect all this analysis we’re gleaning from the canon is....not necessarily stuff that was being consciously/explicitly considered by the writers....I guess I’m just not sure if I feel like it necessarily NEEDED to be? since I feel like Ozzie not mentioning his dad kinda works okay regardless - I’ll confess it’s not been something I’ve had any issue with.....buuut, my attitude towards the show has been a tad, idk, lax/casual since the start of S05!)
