what i should i know about your book to begin with :3?

well the summary first off!! 🥰 which can be found here!!

but also that it's a southern gothic religious horror tragedy!! it's very much about family horror and trauma (and ngl i'm using it to get out some of my own feelings about my own trauma, which mirrors that of the main characters').

the perfect description of the vibes of it is ethel cain's music, in particular preacher's daughter and her ep inbred!! also my entire inspo tag for it (x) basically gives off those vibes too i think.

i meant to ask this a million years ago could i have an example of a dress “dyed black to blue” not for silly icelogged reasons 0;3 + HAPPY HALLOWEENIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE hope you enjoy the rest of your week !

i wish i could give u a literal example but the only time i’ve had clothes dyed was with the assistance of a friend. ironically, planning on dying a bunch of stuff black here soon (wish me luck, it’s intimidating)

as far as what the lyric means. dying dresses from black to blue is like, softening myself, through appearance and mood. like, when you are infatuated with someone, intentionally or not, you can start to present a version of yourself that you believe to be more “appealing” to the other party. toning down your gloom and neurosis, softening the edge. sort of goth detransition lol. wrote that line like 4 years ago and thankfully, will not being doing that for a man ever again (heaven knows i havent diluted myself for the partner i have now, and very greatful that i havent). this isn’t new advice but implore every young women, especially artists, not to “bleach your spirit” (oooo there’s a lyric there) for any man.

[This is a role-play starter for Wyatt.]

She wasn't sure how long she had been running, it felt like an eternity. Her legs screamed at her to cease and to rest, but she knew she couldn't, lest death come for her. The mere thought of perishing sent adrenaline flowing through her veins, feeling her pursuit to get to safety.

"There has to be somewhere safe nearby! I can't keep this up much longer," Iseult panted, her heart hammering in her chest." I can feel it! It's close!"

As Iseult crested a nearby hill, she spotted a village close by. Throwing caution to the wind, she darted forward once more, her destination in sight. She stumbled a few times, but pushed herself forward and to sanctuary.

Iseult ran through the streets and did her best to ignore the suspicious looks of the villagers. She spotted a nearby house, and without a second thought, darted in through the front door.

She barely made it to the bedroom before she collapsed, her chest heaving with panting breaths. She placed a trembling hand against her eye and when she pulled it away, it was covered in blood. Once the adrenaline began to leave her system, she realized that everything was blurry on that side.

"Gods! I can't see! I guess it makes me a useless Iceologer to the tribe now." Iseult curled up on the floor, her eyes beginning to flutter shut." A small nap won't hurt. Once I wake up, I'm out of here. Hopefully by then, things will be a little clearer."

Wyatt had just returned from a hunting trip when the other villagers told him of a stranger who ran into his house.

With caution, he opens the door to his home to find the iceloger...

"Well, I wasn't expecting a visitor today..."
