As the morning unfolds, the next winter storm is already making its way across the United States, bringing snowfall to various regions. Minnesota and the northern Great Lakes are experiencing the initial snowfall, with Virginia and West Virginia also seeing snow this morning. Throughout the day, snow will continue to develop, spreading from Pennsylvania up into New York State and back into Ontario. Heavy snow is expected to hit central Pennsylvania, the Poconos, and even New York City later in the day, with snowfall rates reaching up to one inch per hour before transitioning to sleet and freezing rain. The snowfall is not limited to these areas, as New England, Vermont, New Hampshire, and parts of Ontario are also forecasted to receive significant amounts of snow overnight. The Great Lakes region will see accumulations ranging from two to six inches, with the northern areas potentially receiving up to six inches.
