I pretty much fell for this tweet:

And I played through the event the past few days.
It was a really complicated and complex scenario, but I'm not really disappointed in how it played out. The tie ins with various characters bonding to Tutan because they had lost their sons was actually very sweet. Daedalus and Caesar both having that tie in made the emotional climaxes of the event very easy to understand as well as kind of tying in to the overall theme of the event...
...which was the sense of losing a loved one. I've not seen a perfect translation of the event, nor is my language skill apt enough to give anything better than gists since I'm rusty on JPN, but from what I understand, Theo wanted to erase Van Gogh from the Throne of heroes, but also history, because he didn't want his brother to be treated like a madman -- or for his art to only be treated as valuable because he was insane.
This is something I think people's mileage may vary on, again, bc I didn't read a perfect translation, but I interpreted it as this: Van Gogh shouldn't have become popular because he was mad, he should've been popular because he was talented. So Theo wants to erase Van Gogh from history because the myth of his madness is what catapulted him into posthumous stardom.
And I agree with this. I think this is a logical, empathetic way of looking at the story of Van Gogh. Because as someone who suffers from psychosis, and when talking about people who make art who have psychosis, most people are asking to be treated with respect and equity, to be considered based on skill of work and communicating ideas. Not fetishized for being a "Mad Artist", which I think is what Theo was getting at.
I think Theo's character being a berserker nerfed the ability for us to understand his motivations in a clearer sense and I wish we got more Sane dialogue from him. I think this was a weird writing choice.
Waver was cute. Obviously
Britomart was also really cute. It's interesting to see how everyone had a "weakness" that was on display.
I enjoyed the talk about psychic architecture quite a bit. Not to be like this gave me material to help me write BeastVN just in time for my birthday, but it did. It was kind of funny hearing Waver elaborate on that + the conceptual parallels being called something different, "illumination" magecraft?? IIRC?? but that was something I already had been implementing in BeastVN writing so it was hilarious hearing him explain it and I'm sitting here smirking like "Oh yeah, this is not new to you at all"
The Jason vs Heracles fight was hilarious. I chose to assist Jason and we beat him lol.
I laughed when Nobu started complaining that we didn't suspect them as the mastermind. They were so insulted and like almost hurt by it lmfao
Daedelus and his wife were pretty funny. I liked how they were inexperienced with mystic topics but had the technological skill to stand on par and pretty much said so themselves
Icarus................
The resolution between Van Gogh and Theo is still a little unclear to me, but Van Gogh insisting upon their selfhood kind of brings to me the sense that, these beings in Chaldea that are like that of alter egos that have their selves mishmashed with other people or concepts still want the selfhood and agency that they have to exist as unique entities, not as representations of those people or concepts separately... which I think is pretty straightforward to understand
I think this was a really emotional event and I'm glad I played it because I felt like I really could emotionally bond towards several characters. It was a pretty nice event.
👇 To conclude

SIDE 2A: ROUND 2: Megaman (Megaman)/Pit (Kid Icarus) VS Selina Kyle (Catwoman) (DC Comics)/Loki (Marvel Cinematic Universe)
Propaganda for Megaman/Pit:
This ask, which includes the art used in the bracket image!
Oh my god. This one came immediately to mind. Idk how big the ship is now, but I remember like seeing it everywhere back when Super Smash Bros Ultimate was like popular on Tumblr/Twitter. I think it was originally a crackship cause both of them were in Captain N (a cartoon), but it’s like a serious thing now. Literally all it took was one interaction between them (there’s like dialogue you can get if you do some combination when you play as Pit) which is just Pit gushing about Mega Man. It’s cute. And honestly kind of iconic
#MEGAPIT ?? good for them #go back in time and tell kid me the ship he came up with on a whim would be in a tumblr bracket :'3
#megapit sweep!
#megapit nation let's pokémon go to the polls #let's give it for a wholesome and iconic crackship
#MEGAPIT NATION RISE. RISE. RISE #MEGAPIT
#MEGAPIT!!!1!
#MEGAPIT NATION RISE UP
#c'mon megapit nation #sure they may lose but let's get them some votes anyways!
Propaganda for Selina Kyle (Catwoman)/Loki:
Two not quite villains who will never be content as heroes despite how much their friends and family would like them to be. They can sass each other and steal things together. In fact, Loki, being old as most artifacts, can claim that anything they steal technically belongs to him through some convoluted story that may or may not be true. So they've got this game going on with Batman. If he catches them, the museum can keep the object. Otherwise, Loki gets to keep "his stuff" and no one bothers them to avoid an incident with Asgard. It drives Batman up the wall. Loki and Selina are two beautiful Neutrals with a dash of chaos. He adores her and she loves his mystery and pizzazz. They bring out the best in each other. The Joker is dead and Loki has taken over his turf as the Crown Prince of Crime Alley. He sits on his ice throne with his darling Selina, finding new and vicious nonfatal ways of dealing with those who try to usurp them. They might intervene if they hear someone is doing something evil enough, so if you want to get rid of your enemies, feel free to snitch. Selina and Loki both think the other is sexy. Selina loves that Loki isn't quite evil but she doesn't feel bad for stealing when she's with him. He makes it fun. Loki loves that Selina has given him a chance and doesn't have grand expectations of heroics from him. That he doesn't need power to keep her.
Reasons why Batman does not like this ship:
-Selina knows Bruce Wayne is Batman, and by virtue of that fact, so does Loki. To keep things fun and remind the other rogues he's still a "villain" Loki likes to kidnap Bruce once a month and demand Batman come and rescue him. It's very annoying. The other Rogues assume Loki does this since Batman and Catwoman used to be a thing. Really Loki just thinks it's funny that Bruce can't escape without ruining his whole "Brucie" image. It's also a great way to clear a fancy restaurant and have a private date with Selina when she's called to "talk him down" until "Batman" shows up.
-Loki doesn't know how to drive. Selina has decided to teach him. And since Bruce is a family friend, she has decided that means she can "borrow" his cars any time. Bruce has lost track of how many times he's left the office to find his car isn't where he parked it. Loki is a madman on the streets. So ofc he gets pulled over a lot. Never fear! He just magics him and Selina to look like Bruce and his latest girlfriend. Bruce is this close to getting his license revoked.
-Loki and Selina wait until Batman is about to head from his patrol to rob the museum. They've made a game out of it with a point system and everything. Thankfully they only do it on relatively quiet nights to make sure the gets his steps in.
Reasons Batman likes the ship:
-Selina is happy. Really happy. She lights up whenever she's with Loki. Loki just melts in her arms. Any idiot could see they're in love. They banter and flirt with each other everywhere from the grocery store to the middle of a high speed chase.
-He knows Loki would tear the world apart for Selina. He would face down Thanos all over again if he had too.
-Any villain stupid enough to interrupt their date night will be swiftly returned to Arkham.
Reasons Robin likes the ship:
-Selina and Loki are going to adopt his best friend Colin Wilkes.
-Loki and Selina protect all the animal shelters.
-Loki and Selina are always down to help him sneak animals into the manor.
Reason Robin does not like the ship:
-Loki and Selina are firm believers in PDA and Damian is at the age when cooties are very much still a thing.
Lovely art~!

Fandom: demon slayer character: Icarus Pairing: senku/gen hahaha
Demon Slayer
Favorite character: Zenitsuuu! Tho Nezuko is a close second :D
Least Favorite character: So far, all of the Hashira except for Shinobu and Tomioka. Cuz we've just had this huge group of quirky characters all dropped in our lap at the same time, told they're the strongest ever and that we have to care about them. I'm kinda waiting to be given a reason to care about most of them.
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Zenitsu/Nezuko, Zenitsu/Inosuke/Tanjiro, Zenitsu/Tanjiro, Zenistu/Inosuke, Tamayo/Yushiro
Character I find most attractive: Honestly? This is one of those series where I don't find the style very "attractive" in that sense
Character I would marry: I would marry the villain guy, cuz that seems to be the way to stay safe from him
Character I would be best friends with: Nezuko!!
a random thought: I really like that this series ended its first season with a long "downtime" arc focusing on the recovery of the main characters after the violence they've been through. You don't see that very often in shonen, basically forgoing a big season finale, and I prefer it this way.
An unpopular opinion: I mean, Zenitsu is my fave character and I gather that he's pretty unpopular, since he IS a whiny crybaby brat. But that's why I love him.
my canon OTP: Tamayo/Yushiro
Non-canon OTP: Zenitsu/Nezuko, unless they magically become canon later on :0
most badass character: Shinobuuu!
pairing I am not a fan of: I don't know the fandom enough to know about the ships. But I guess I didn't see the big deal with that Rengoku guy and I think people ship him with Tanjiro a lot, so maybe that?
character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): The Hashira, simply because they should've paced the introduction of these characters (like they did with Tomioka and Shinobu) to give them the impact they were going for.
favourite friendship: The main four characters have a super cute friendship!
character I want to adopt or be adopted by: Not Tanjiro's family lol
Senku/Gen
when of if I started shipping it: Pretty soon after Gen was introduced. I knew SenGen was a popular ship prior to Gen's appearance and it didn't take long for me to see why people love them.
my thoughts: SenGen is an excellent ship, no matter how you ship it. I like ace-aro Senku and Gen just cheerfully adopting to the role of Senku's house husband, since that seems to be what they're going for anyway.
What makes me happy about them: I've only seen up to s2 of the anime, but from what I've heard, even when the story cycles through flavour of the month companions for Senku, Gen ALWAYS sticks by Senku's side. And this makes me happy, cuz I hate in shonen when protag gets new friends that he suddenly starts to ignore the old cast (hello Yugioh GX). So, it's good for me to know that this won't happen with Senku and Gen.
What makes me sad about them: That it's probably not gonna be endgame, no matter how much more sense it makes than any other option, simply because shonen doesn't do that. :(
things done in fanfic that annoys me: I haven't read enough fanfics to know.
things I look for in fanfic: I just want to read silly fics based on the English dub with fun dialogue.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Senku will always be with science no matter what!! As for Gen, maybe the archer guy?
My happily ever after for them: I have no idea where this series is going, but I'd like to think that Senku uses science to continually improve society and Gen sticks by his side.
who is the big spoon/little spoon: Gen WANTS to be the little spoon, but Senku doesn't get it, so Gen has to be the big spoon if he wants any cuddling at all.
what is their favorite non-sexual activity: Senku's is talking about science and Gen's is listening to Senku talking about science.
Icarus
How I feel about this character: After Momus, he's my next big fave new OC and definitely took the torch from Daichi for the "excitable unit who seems cheerful but has deeper issues than he wants anyone to know".
All the people I ship romantically with this character: Morpheus, ofc! But also definitely Apollo, Momus and Heracles. Icarus is just one of those characters who instantly has chemistry with others. I also still like Icarus/Zagreus simply because it didn't work out and Icarus has a pretty unique annoyance towards Zagreus.
My non-romantic OTP for this character: In "canon" for Greek myths it'd be Icarus & Asterius. I dunno about in the RPs, since Icarus is bad at making friends. Maybe Icarus & Hypnos, even if I wouldn't blame Hypnos for not wanting to see him again after The Wrong Name thing.
My unpopular opinion about this character: Icarus is cooler than his brother and Apollo is wrong for not seeing that!!
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: Oh, I think lots of excellent things are going to happen for Icarus.
my het ship: Icarus x Tisiphone, at least with Icarus having his crush on Tisiphone. I doubt it's requited tho
my fem/slash ship: All of the ships mentioned above. Maybe also Eros depending on what happens.
my OTP: At the moment it's still Icarus x Morpheus, BUT WE'LL SEE WHAT HAPPENS WITH APOLLO. I also genuinely love the bonds he has with Momus and Heracles individually, so it's hard to choose.
my OT3: Icarus x Morpheus x Momus x Heracles
a head cannon fact: Icarus will never successfully invent anything, but he excels on improving on inventions that already exist, especially Daedalus's work. He has no idea how useful this would make him in the modern era. He also has the potential to reach godhood, but is too caught up in the "I'm just a mortal" mantra from his father to even think about it.
#i love all these topics thank youu :D#*Talking#*Demon Slayer#*Dr. Stone#*Hades OCs#*Icarus#*Hades Game

Five Nintendo Switch Games I’d Like to See Announced at E3 2017

As a gamer, E3 has become a second Christmas. It’s an event lasting a few days where I get to see what new games, or updates on previously announced games, my favorite developers are working on. But, Nintendo is always the focal point of my viewership as I look forward to what new sequel, spin-off, or original titles they’ll reveal. This is the Nintendo Switch’s first E3, and with the date quickly approaching, I thought it’d make a list of five Nintendo Switch games (in no particular order) I’d like to see announced at this year’s E3.

I was first exposed to the fun and frantic gameplay of WarioWare on the GameCube, when WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Party Game$! was released in 2004. Since then, I’ve tried every iteration of the microgame madness, from GBA to Wii U, the latter being a more scaled down version of the series. The Joy-Con controllers would be a perfect way to experiment with the series, as they could take advantage of HD Rumble, and with the versatility of the Nintendo Switch, portability would add ease of multiplayer on the go. It would be great to allow up to 8 players to sit around and enjoy the absurdity of the mircrogames. Honestly, I’d choose WarioWare over Mario Party, especially with the way Mario Party is going … Here’s to WarioWare: Switch !

The year was 2003. The GameCube had been out for two years, and after begging my parents and working hard in the third grade, I convinced the omnipotent beings to buy me the system. When I saw the green wonder staring right at me, terror-stricken, I knew I had to pick up Luigi’s Mansion. The game is hands down, my favorite video game of all time, it has the charm and lovable aspects of a Nintendo game with an eerie atmosphere that no other Nintendo game has made me feel. Of course I would want a sequel! I know, I know, we had one Four years ago called Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon, and trust me, I was very excited when I found out it was coming, but seeing it was for 3DS broke my spirit. I did play the game and i liked it, however, a full-blown HD console version would be a dream come true. Especially if they go back to exploring one big mansion instead of multiple smaller ones. I’d say keep the multiplayer aspect of the 3DS game (again take advantage of the Joy-Con), but give me a bigger mansion and more creative ghosts to catch, like in the original. C’mon, Nintendo, give me Luigi’s Mansion 3! I would be so happy.
Mr. Miyamoto, don’t do this to me. I saw that interview a couple years back. You said Pikmin 4 was almost ready, so where is it? I understand game development takes time, but I know the newly announced Hey! Pikmin can’t be the sequel you teased. It just can’t be! Ok, breathe. Relax. All right I’m back. Pikmin has seen three games in its lifetime as a Nintendo IP, with Hey! Pikmin being the fourth. Pikmin 1 and 2 were released on GameCube in 2001 and 2004 respectively (wow another GameCube game) and about a decade later given New Play Control releases on Wii, and Pikmin 3 was released on Wii U in 2013. I believe there’s room for a true sequel on Nintendo Switch. Pikmin 4 could see a return of Olimar and Louie, maybe even the cast of Pikmin 3–Alph, Brittany, and Charlie–can return. I would love to explore new environments and Pikmin species alone or with a friend. Also, there’s no denying these things are downright cute. Please, more Pikmin!

Masahiro Sakurai. You know him as the creator of Kirby, and the Super Smash Bros. series, but in 2013 his team, Project Sora, released Kid Icarus: Uprising, which served as a reboot for what many thought was a long-forgotten Nintendo IP. The game has some of the funniest and wittiest dialogue in a video game I’ve ever experienced, as well as being the chattiest game Nintendo has to offer. The back and forth playfulness between Pit and Palutena is great, and watching Pit interact with other characters makes for a fun play through. The soundtrack was amazing and offered composition from many video game composers outside Nintendo. Now that development on Super Smash Bros. is far from done, it would be great if Sakurai gathered his team to work on a sequel to this game. I’d be more than glad to take down Hades and his minions once again. I just want to say: I loved Pit’s opening line “Sorry to keep you waiting” it sent chills down my entire body. Sakurai, don’t keep us waiting!

For my final entry, I’d like to show my desire for a console entry in the Mario & Luigi RPG series. I’m a huge Paper Mario fan. I’m also a huge Super Mario RPG fan, and that was the last Mario role playing game we got that didn’t take place in paper-thin worlds. With a total of five Mario and Luigi titles exclusive to handhelds, a console version would be a step in the right direction, since the last two entries on 3DS Mario & Luigi: Dream Team and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam were a little stale compared to the DS’s Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story or my personal favorite Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga. There has been rumors regarding Ubisoft working on a cross-over between Mario & Luigi and their Rabbids franchise, but I, like all of you, am praying it is not true. Another rumor that has surfaced is a remake of Superstar Saga for 3DS, which I would be more in favor of, but until then, let’s hope we get a massive Mario & Luigi RPG for Switch with Co-op, larger worlds to explore, and new interesting characters that aren’t based in the mushroom kingdom.
So these are five games I’d love to see announced at this year’s E3, and shouldn’t be confused with my predictions. That’s a whole other entry. Here’s hoping Nintendo Switch could keep the momentum it has got going, maybe with one or all of these games being announced. Hey, one can dream. Right?
