so true!!! i wish they had trans rep, and i know that they won't do it on the island 'cause Gretchen's canonically a TERF, but I would love it if there just was a side character who is trans

I wish the Wilds had trans rep in there. They represent characters so well. Like Toni’s character isn’t about her being gay she’s just a gay character. And I don’t want another trans character in media who’s only role/character trait is that they are trans. Like Trevor from shameless was just used to educate cis people about trans/other lgbtq stuff. Like the first time you meet Trevor it’s just Ian getting educated. I want a trans person who is just there. There storyline about being a person.

And I do not want Dot to be trans. As someone who everyone just thought was a lesbian and was continuously called a lesbian before I came out as trans I would hate this. I hate the idea that if someone dresses/acts gay they must be gay or trans. Like yeah Dot’s visor, super gay, but like that does not mean she is trans. If Dot was made to question her gender it would just continue the stereotype that if an afab dresses masculine and is not gay, they must be trans, which is stupid (also applies for amabs who dress feminine). People should be able to exist how they want without other people labeling them or making assumptions about them.

“I’ll be fine,” Leah insists. “You don’t know that.” There was a period of time where Fatin wasn’t sure if Leah was ever going to wake up again, and she’s not putting either of them through that again.

“This is so weird,” Ian fails to whisper to Leah, the hand raised to cover his mouth doing nothing to dampen the sound. “It feels just like yesterday that we were watching her play. Well, I was watching. You,” he boops Leah on the nose, “were staring.”
