reasons you need to vote ishizu ishtar right fucking now
she was disadvantaged from the start by being a woman in Yu-Gi-Oh and still managed to pull through
the reason shes underrated is because people refuse to read between the lines and acknowledge how much more nuance there is to her arc which is insane because once again she's a woman in yugioh
Ishizu often gets written off as boring and i understand why but that's because the anime severely cut out bits of vital information. ONE. she is the general secretary of the egyptian council of antiquities at 20 as far as im concerned that requires kaiba-level genius and effort from someone who probably didn't have a birth certificate when she left the tombs just five years prior
TWO. she was all in for her family. she never once opposed marik in a way that was meant to stifle him as a person and held her cards close to her chest. one of my favorite quotes from her is when marik asked her if the reason she didnt tell him about him killing their father was because she saw it with the necklace (implying she had been using the necklace prior, for the record) and she responds with "No! All we ever wanted was for you to live!" implying she knew that the grief would drive marik to his death and because she loved her little brother so much she'd rather deal with that future than one where he couldn't stand to keep going. she'd rather deal with the betrayal of the pharaoh and him pulling a rocket launcher on him than see him lose to that kind of grief and self hatred.
THREE. she is intentionally meant to parallel kaiba and his own desperation to shed his past. the decks in yugioh are reflections of the wielders soul (to paraphrase takahashi) and its not a coincidence that ishizus deck has blast with a tribute. she mentions that she entirely intended to take dark marik down WITH HERSELF, sacrificing her life in the process. sound familiar? its the same kind of dedication kaiba shows to mokuba, and their duel is all about how you handle the shackles of guilt, familial duty, and the past. her losing was integral to trying to find value in continuing to live for herself
the ishtar family focuses a lot on themes of light and darkness and finding the light is synonymous with continuing to live in the world. marik, rishid, and ishizu all parrot these themes and ishizu was just as bound by the darkness of the tombs as her brothers. while she was severely shafted by the narrative she has a lot going on and deserves the vote because she was serving cunt MAGNANIMOUSLY the entire time. thank you
also she was hiding rishids body all over the blimp during virtual world. bit silly yeah
ROUND 1 MATCH 4 ISHIZU ISHTAR HOLDER OF THE MILLENNIUM NECKLACE VS MICHAEL/III/TREY ARCLIGHT YOUNGEST MEMBER OF THE ARCLIGHT FAMILY

@kisara-albino
Continue from here
The storm was sudden, sweeping up out of nothingness to soak the streets, people out and about scrambling for shelter to wait out the downpour. One figure, tan and fit, and another, pale, both found themselves huddling under the same awning, pressed a bit together in an effort to dry off and to avoid the rain. White hair adn blue eyes peeked out at the other woman, curiosity in them as she stood there, watching the rain fall harder and harder.
---
Ishizu had seen the other woman hurry to her hiding spot. But when the pale figure was by her side she averted her eyes. She had such a bad habit of staring and prolonged eye contact. Especially when people watching.
She felt the other's gaze and she glanced to Kisara offering a warm smile before looking back out to the rain. "The rain is lovely today, if not poorly timed." She said, hoping to break the ice.

If you were wondering:
"Default" Style (Simple Outline)
Atem, Priest Set(o), Isis, Karim, Akenhadin, and Dadtem all wear this. Simple bold outline of the eye with a little wing on the bottom corner
Shadi and Ishizu both wear this in the modern day
Yami Bakura is sometimes drawn with this style when he's in control (but presumably is not literally putting it on Ryou Bakura's face)
The Magician's Special (Sweeping Underline)
Mahad and Mana only have this, so in AE it may signify some special Magician status
Same style that Mr. Ishtar wore before his death and Marik and Rishid wear after their father's death.
(Uncertain why Mahad's style specifically is shared by only the men in only the head clan of only one side of the Tombkeepers--note that Shadi, on the other end of schism, doesn't wear it, nor do the run-of-the-mill background Tombkeepers we see on the Ishtar side.)
Shada (Shada)
Shada wears the default style on his eyes but he also has these elaborate extra markings on his forehead and scalp. No indication of what this means.
I was going to point out that modern-day Shadi does not have this, in contrast to his past life, but he is usually wearing a turban that would cover it (DSoD gives him a magic forehead triangle instead, though)
No Makeup
TKB, in the original manga, does not appear to be wearing any kohl.
None of the Plana kids wear visible kohl, unlike their cube dad Shadi
writing about yugioh like oh I need to confirm or consider a theory real quick. let me go through every single character in memory world and take careful note of what style of eyeliner they are wearing

Cardfight Vanguard G: Next turn 30 thoughts
I have a lot of stuff to talk about this week.
The Glow I Saw That Day
Jaime, please xD
And that flag. He must have gotten it from the same place as the mask xD
And Aichi did get a VIP seat in the end.
Ok, when did the Association build this? And where is it anyway? o_O
Oh well, probably it will be explained in the Weekly Bites.
I’m really excited for the 2nd stage. A few months ago, I was thinking it would be organized like a tournament format, but the summaries revealed something completely different. Which I’m really glad about. The writers came up with new, interesting formats, which make this entertaining to watch. And it’s clearly not going to be easy. Ibuki did warn us last week xD Probably what makes it so difficult is that you’re out after one loss. At least, not the whole team is out, but it’s still risky. Especially if the one who lost happened to collect a high amount of points. And only 4 teams will advance, which is only one forth of the people we’ve got. They are reducing the numbers quite a lot.
On a side note, chibi-Ibuki is back xD This time for a short amount of time, but enough to make me chuckle. And, if it was for longer, the joke might have gotten boring.
Shion is choosing the safe path. I must admit, it’s a good idea, especially now that they can see each other’s location and avoid meeting people they don’t want to fight with. Even though the Fukuhara club is...how it is, they know how to prioritize what’s best for the team. Also, Tokoha understands that perfectly. It’s important for the whole team to advance so that each member can fulfill their goals.
However, Chrono’s team seems to lack that. And it might cost them.
I appreciate that they show us the Fidar’s new features, as well as how the characters are doing. Though, that Shion vs Sugiru fight might have been interesting to be featured.
The irony here xD Calling everyone idiots from engaging in fights and thinking that he can survive if he lets the others destroy each other, but he himself can’t resist the opportunity to get 16 points from the get-go.
So far, I like how Saori (actually, it’s his main Unit, but it hasn’t been revealed yet) was built-up until now. They were showing many sides of him, and now we get to see him briefly in a fight and looking rather bored.
Hmm, that was unexpected. I wonder what Shiranui’s interactions with Miguel were like. Note that he called him Miguel, not Antero. So, there’s something going there.
There was also the moment in which he said that humans are fragile creatures and he thought of Miguel. Most likely, that was because of him dying. However, in this episode it seemed different. Shiranui sounds rather pissed off.
So, Verno gets things falling on her head every day? Because that’s what I get from this scene. Honestly, that reaction when the banner fell on her sounded emotionless. And then, she said it herself, that this kind of stuff always happen. Hmm, seeing that Taiyou got to grade 3 first means that Verno went 2nd. So she also lost at rock-paper-scissors. Though, Shiranui is the one that mainly complains about that. This bad luck that all diff riders have kinda intrigues me.
Anyway, before this, Verno was the only Diffrider shown to chill and not challenge anyone. She didn’t seem interested in the fight, until Taiyou mentioned Gurguit. At first, I thought she (I probably should start using her main Unit’s name...) has a connection to him, like Antero and Ahsha (well, not exactly like that), but nope.
Let’s move on to the flashback. So, after the diffride, Amaruda continues Verno’s job as a model (it was revealed in the weekly bites when Team Diffride was first introduced). However, she looked rather bored doing that. To be honest, my face probably looked the same when I first saw that info. But the little hints regarding her character changed my mind. Though, this is Amaruda’s personality and I’m a bit afraid that Verno herself might not be as interesting. Hopefully I’m wrong.
Anyway, it’s very considerate of her to maintain Verno’s life as it was and not make drastic changes.
And there is the meet-up with Shiranui. He only said that he wants to test the humans, but to me it seems that there’s more to that.
Now, I’d like to talk a bit about the inspiration behind Amaruda. Genesis is a clan heavily based on mythology from different cultures. Knowing that, I was wondering what Verno’s main Unit was based on. Before her name was revealed, it was speculated that it could be a Artemis, the Greek goddess of hunt, wilderness and associated with the moon (though the actual Greek Moon Goddess is Selene), or her Roman counterpart, Diana. Guess it was mainly because of the bow and arrows and I actually liked the Diana idea (because Artemis is already taken). However, it turned out to be something completely different. Which is a nice thing because I get to find out stuff about other mythologies which I’m not very familiar with.
The only problem is that there is no goddess named Amaruda, so I had tgo search for similar names. The Grade 2 Unit she rode before was actually a useful hint. Ninnil seems to be based on Ninlil, a Mesopotamian/Sumerian goddess associated with the wind. So, for Amaruda I looked into Mesopotamian deities, and I found a minor one named Ama-arhus. Quite similar, I would say. She is associated with fertility and it seems that she later merged into Ninhursag. he later is described as having a bow and a lion cub. Both of these elements are present in the card artwork.
The wiki found a different origin, it seems, but I’m still sticking to mine. It’s not impossible for a card to have more than one inspiration.
Since I’m on this chapter, let’s talk a bit about her Stride, Godess of Investigation, Ishtar. Probably most of you thought of Marik, Ishizu and Rishid from Yu-Gi-Oh (since most people who watch Vanguard also watched Yu-Gi-Oh). Can’t blame you for that. The inspiration is most likely the same. Ishtar is also a Mesopotamian goddess, of fertility, love, war and power. I don’t see how these relate to “investigation”, but oh well.
Didn’t see that coming. It’s nice to see a female antagonist who isn’t a jerk and actually compliments her opponent.
And there’s also a bit of character growth for Taiyou. He was labeled as the cheerleader of the team, because of his supporting personality, but here he clearly says that he wants to to walk his own path, without anyone’s guidance.
Back to Amaruda, we learn that she had been looking at this sight and her motives for diffriding seem to be out of pure curiosity.
It’s nice how the answer about the glow was found by fighting Taiyou, who plays Gold Paladin and is associated with the sun. His name is even read as the Japanese word for “sun”. Moreover, the sun’s symbolism includes: life, energy, influence, strength, will and potential for development. Guess that’s why Amaruda came to the conclusion that the glow represented human potential.
The fight might have ended with Taiyou’s loss, but I liked how it showcased Amaruda/Verno’s character without sweeping him under the rug. Yeah, he lost, but not in a crushing way. He had good plays and Amaruda acknowledged that. His loss might have been solely because everything goes in the favor of the diffriders. Even so, all the talk about potential gave me some hope for him in the future.
Pff Kazuma is like “the heck are you talking about?”, while Chrono knows exactly what’s going on, but can’t say anything and Taiyou tries to brush it off. I think he will find out as well, soon enough.
I wonder what Amaruda is up to now that she had found her answer.
next episode we have Tokoha vs Saori. From the looks of it, we might get some light shed on the Miguel/Antero mystery. I’m also looking forward to Saori’s characterization.

Your Love is Liberation
This is my entry for @datacow40’s Fic Contest! I did a fluffy Thiefshipping story inspired by Pet Shop Boys “Liberation”. Final word count is 1506. It’s behind a cut but it’s G-rated.
Admitting he was falling for his partner was harder for Bakura than actually falling for him. A late night of mischief for the pair leads to a revelation.
Whether by virtue of being young or having survived the fires of Ra together, literally, neither Bakura nor Marik paid any heed to the derisive look from the bus driver as they climbed aboard, shaking the rain from their hair. Marik impetuously grabbed his partner’s hand and pulled him to the bench seat in the very back of the nearly empty bus. They fell across the seat, laughing, Marik stretching his slightly longer legs out over the seat while Bakura let his legs lounge in the aisle.
“Did you see Ishizu’s face?!” Marik grinned shamelessly, extending his arms in front of him, watching as the passing city lights reflected off his golden rings and his wrist cuffs where they peeked out from under his sleeves. Together, the pair had crashed some Very Important Function at the museum, one that was supposed to be invitation-only. Unfortunately for Ishizu, Marik had never once needed an invitation to show up, especially not to a party. “She’s probably still inventorying the displays.”
Bakura chuckled as he tossed his long hair over his shoulder and dropped his head back against the seat. They, as usual, hadn’t had a plan. Simply showing up had caused enough trouble to assuage their need for mischief. That Bakura’s pockets were a bit heavier after the party was only a bonus. “She’ll never forgive you.”
“Oh, yes she will.” Marik smoothed out his leather jacket, brushing the water off. “I’m her baby brother and there’s still a part of her that treats me like our clan leader. I was forgiven before I even crossed the threshold.” He sniffed and crossed his ankles. “Shame we had to ditch the bike though. Didn’t realize it was going to rain.” The former tombkeeper tipped his head back to look up at Bakura. “Did my kohl smudge?”
With those soft violet eyes on him, the stolen loot in Bakura’s pockets might as well have been sand. By some compulsion, he found himself wiping his thumb across Marik’s cheek. “You know that wasn’t enough rain to ruin your precious look.”
Marik smirked slowly, not looking away from Bakura’s dark brown eyes. “Of course, but it was worth asking just to see you blush.” Bakura grunted in denial, looking out the window. His cheeks were only somewhat heated and, if it weren’t for the pale skin he’d inherited from his former host, it wouldn’t have been noticeable. “Don’t blame yourself. I know I’m hot.”
“What you are is insufferable.” Bakura shifted, half-heartedly trying to move Marik off him. Instead, Marik grinned like a cat and snuggled down more on his shoulder. Bakura sighed and propped his chin on his palm, resolutely staring out the window as Domino moved beyond the water-splattered pane.
After the Memory RPG, the once Ring spirit had never expected to see Japan again. He had definitely never thought he would see Marik again, much less fall back into an unspoken partnership with him. Bakura harbored a small regret that he had come back in a copy of Ryou’s body instead of his own, but Ryou himself had rationalized that it probably meant he was being given a clean slate. Really though, he had only been listless, aimless without vengeance to plot or a several-millennia-dead Pharaoh to scheme against. At least he had been, until Marik Ishtar breezed back into Domino, sweeping him out of Ryou’s flat and out of his own doldrums.
Marik was reformed. Mostly. With his impish smile, criminal experience, and more money than anyone except maybe Seto Kaiba, Marik did whatever he wished, whenever he wished, often dragging Bakura along with him. Jetting off to Paris because he wanted to see a specific painting in the Louvre? Done. Hiring a sky writer to write “Kaiba Stinks” over KaibaCorp? Well, that one hadn’t gone perfectly as Marik really had hoped to have it written in hieroglyphics, but Seto still had been annoyed enough to get in his jet and bust up “Stinks”. And Bakura wouldn’t have mentioned it, but he suspected Ryou’s extra influx of money came from a certain blonde benefactor who might yet feel guilty for using him during Battle City.
It wasn’t that the former tombkeeper and the former spirit were inseparable; they simply had more fun together than apart. Ryou had asked him a few times about their relationship and each time, Bakura snapped and snarled at him. Relationships were for do-gooders. Like Yugi. Or Ryou. Bakura didn’t have time for that foolishness. Or… he hadn’t before. Now? Now his waking hours were occupied with whatever plans Marik devised and in lieu of that, with new ways and excuses to spend time with Marik. He hadn’t spoken to Ryou for a week after he pointed out that that was exactly what a relationship was.
Bakura crinkled his nose and tugged the collar of his trench coat closer. So what if he liked spending as much time as he could with Marik? So what if he liked making him happy? And so what if he was more and more reluctant to leave after each of their escapades ended? It didn’t mean anything. He wasn’t going to be tied down. He was free, finally actually free, free to do whatever he wanted. And what he wanted was…
A movement on his shoulder halted his thoughts, Marik’s head rolling with the motion of the bus. The damp fabric of his coat stuck to him from where his wet hair had been. A golden lock fell over his face and Bakura reached across himself to push it back without disturbing his dozing partner. The other murmured something and tucked himself closer, comfortable and trusting. Bakura still marveled at how easily Marik trusted him. It hadn’t come as effortlessly to Bakura. Following along with a strategy or to another country was one thing; being vulnerable in front of someone, even Marik, was different.
Yet slowly, patiently, and, Bakura could only guess, unwittingly, Marik wormed his way into Bakura’s defenses. He hadn’t known it happened until that trip to Paris when, during the flight home, Bakura had drifted off, much like Marik had now. He had awoken with a blanket over his lap and Marik reading quietly beside him. Neither mentioned it but that excursion had shifted things between them. Marik was a little freer with his laughter and Bakura became sincerer in his. Days and nights together got longer, until only safety concerns for Marik’s driving with so little sleep sent one or the other home. Ryou had bought Bakura a second toothbrush after that, in case, he said, Bakura wanted to leave it somewhere. He hadn’t, but he’d noticed another one in the bathroom drawer as well, purple, and Bakura didn’t find himself as bothered by that as he would have thought.
The stop closest to Bakura and Ryou’s flat came and went. Bakura drew his eyes from Marik’s face and fiddled with his pocket. He hadn’t stolen much at the museum, certainly nothing for which Ishizu could have gotten in trouble. However, one of the guests had been overly adorned in Bakura’s opinion and relieving her of one ring in particular was doing her a fashion favor in his eyes. He carefully pulled out the ring, mindful not to smudge the gemstone with his fingers, holding the band between his thumb and forefinger. In the dim watery glow from the passing city lights, the amethyst shone dark, nestled in a setting of diamonds and yellow gold.
“I’m a fool. I’m a complete fool.” Bakura muttered to himself, dropping his cheek down to rest on Marik’s silky hair. His thieving fingers crept to Marik’s, sliding the stolen ring down onto his pinky. “But looks like I’m your fool.”
“Hm?” Marik stirred, rubbing at his face, trying to surreptitiously check if he’d been drooling. He didn’t want to open his eyes yet, feeling warm and safe, if a little uncomfortable. “…Kura?” Marik yawned and stretched his cramped muscles, sandy lashes fluttering open and catching sight of his new adornment. He hummed in approval, turning his hand to admire the stone. “Guess I fell asleep.”
Bakura nudged him, face hot, thankful that Marik didn’t comment more on his gift. “Yeah, and you almost made us miss your stop, Sleeping Beauty. Get up.”
Marik laughed, that carefree, liberated laugh Bakura liked so much, and threaded their fingers together, tugging Bakura up from the seat as the bus came to a stop. “Knew you thought I was a beauty.” He winked and led him off the bus, ignoring Bakura’s put-upon groan and the driver’s admonishing glower. He pulled Bakura to the sidewalk, not caring about the drizzling rain or what effect it would have on his hair, looping his arms over his partner’s shoulders. “Hey Bakura?”
“We’re going to be soaked standing out here.” Bakura groused though he didn’t try to break away. “What?”
Marik threaded his fingers into Bakura’s hair, his smile never fading, keeping Bakura in his arms as he tipped his face closer. “I love you too.”

Of Lost Swords and Shadow Magic fic snippet!
Anyone want a preview of the next chapter? More Domino shenanigans!!
Yugi finally stopped at the base of the steps leading up to the museum. “…It’s hard to believe that everything that happened to us over the last couple of months…started when we came to visit Ishizu about the Millennium Rod over the summer.”
Yami nodded from his vantage point next to Yugi in spirit form. “You’re right, Yugi. It was from here that we went to Kaiba Corp, and received Professor Dumbledore’s letters.”
Yugi began the climb to the front doors. “It’s like going full circle. And even the last time – there was a break-in at the museum, even though we didn’t know about it at the time. I’m feeling some serious déjà vu.”
Just like the last time Yugi had visited the museum, it was deserted. Although, in this case, it was before opening hours. He could see the lobby through the glass of the main doors and it was rightfully empty.
“Woah, woah,” said an employee outside, sweeping the steps near the front entrance. Despite that he couldn’t be seen out in the open, Yami immediately disappeared back into the Puzzle. “We’re not open yet, sorry. We don’t take visitors for another few hours.”
“I have an appointment with Ishizu Ishtar,” said Yugi, “She’s expecting me.”
The employee raised an eyebrow. “This early?” He sighed and reached for the small walkie hanging on his hip. “Hang on, I’ll call in. If she’s there, we’ll have someone let you inside.”
Yugi blinked. “O-okay.”
/I don’t remember there being such a mess to visit Ishizu in the past./
/We saw Ishizu during business hours the last time. And maybe they’ve upped security after she was attacked./
/Possibly./
The employee hung up his phone. “Sorry ‘bout that. I didn’t realize she was taking visitors before opening hours. Someone else is here to see her too, and security had flagged ‘em in about five minutes ago.”
Yugi raised an eyebrow. He had a feeling he knew who it was, but, he felt the need to ask anyway. “Really? Who?”
“I barely saw ‘em come in. Some guy in a suit.” The employee shrugged. “Based on the limo out back? Probably some investor or something.”
Yami had to chuckle. /I suppose Kaiba is here./
/Sounds like it./
A security guard appeared at the door and waved Yugi inside, led him down the corridor past the Egyptian exhibit, and into an employee-only wing. “Last door on the right.”
“Thanks.”
Yugi passed through the door and down the indicated hallway. As it turned out, the security guard didn’t have to tell him which office belonged to Ishizu; Roland was standing at the end of the hall, speaking quietly to someone on his phone. Upon seeing Yugi’s approach, he pointed towards Ishizu’s office.
Yugi nodded, knocked on the doorframe, and walked inside.
“Good morning, Yugi,” said Ishizu, and she gestured to the empty seat in front of her desk next to Kaiba. “I’m glad we were finally able to meet.”
“Me too,” he said, “Are you alright?”
Ishizu smiled softly, “I’ve recovered enough from the attack, thank you.” She gestured to Bill, sitting off to the side of the desk. “I didn’t have the chance to speak with you on the call with Kaiba the other week, but this is Bill Weasley. He has been stationed here both as an assistant to the Egyptian wing of the museum itself, and as a protector of the stone tablets.”
“Nice to meet you,” said Bill. “I heard you had your first Quidditch game. How did it go?”
Yugi turned a slight shade of red. “Oh, uh, it was good. We won.”
“Very good!”
Seto eyed Bill warily.
Bill took notice of the harsh blue eyes scrutinizing him from across the room and chuckled. “You’re friend doesn’t like me,” he said to Ishizu.
“It is alright, Kaiba, Bill has been here for quite some time. He is aware of our situation.”
Seto’s eyes narrowed. “…Is he.”
Yugi looked at Bill apologetically. “Kaiba…doesn’t trust easily.”
“That’s alright.” Bill didn’t seem fazed at all. “I understand. But I’m here to help.”
/Then where was he when Ishizu was attacked in the first place?/ Set mused from their corridor.
“If we’re done with pleasantries,” said Seto stiffly, crossing his arms. He turned back to Ishizu. “What happened here exactly?”

Can you do irateshipping for the ultimate ship thing? (I already know what your answers at to some of it, but you have pulled me into this hell and now I need all the answers to this)
I am amassing an Irateshipping army *burst out into maniacal laughter while thunder claps in the background*
And I cannot stop laughing over the idea of these two having kids and getting married.
General:
Rate the Ship - Awful | Ew | No pics pls | I’m not comfortable | Alright | I like it! | Got Pics? | Let’s do it! | Why is this not getting more attention?! | The OTP to rule all other OTPs
How long will they last? - In my heart? FOREVER! Realistically? I’m not sure but I have no doubt there would be at least some turbulence and on and off with their relationship before they settled down. If they ever did, that is.
How quickly did/will they fall in love? -They fell in lust pretty quickly. Actual love took a while.
How was their first kiss? - Very angst filled and involving alcohol.
Wedding:
Who proposed? - Marik. Sort of. No one technically. Marik one evening asked Jonouchi if he would ever like to get married and after discussing it for a while they figured, sure, why not? No actual proposal happened.
Who is the best man/men? - Rishid was Marik and Yugi was Jonouchi’s best man.
Who is the bride’s maid(s)? - No one.
Who did the most planning? - Ishizu. They were just chill with not even having a proper ceremony but then she busts in and as all “LOL no bitches we doin’ this right”. It was still pretty small though.
Who stressed the most? -Mostly Ishizu. Because whenever she would ask one of them what they wanted, they’d just shrug and go “Don’t care”. She may have almost punched a florist after a conversation with Jonouchi.
How fancy was the ceremony? - Back of a pickup truck | 2 | 3 | 4 | Normal Church Wedding | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Kate and William wish they were this big.
Who was specifically not invited to the wedding? - Kaiba. They figured he wouldn’t wanna come anyway.
Sex:
Who is on top? - They’re versatile so there is no top or bottom.
Who is the one to instigate things? - Marik usually but not always.
How healthy is their sex life? - Barely touch themselves let alone each other | 2 | 3 | 4 | Once a couple weeks, nothing overboard | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They are humping each other on the couch right now
How kinky are they? - Straight missionary with the lights off | 2 | 3 | 4 | Might try some butt stuff and toys | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Don’t go into the sex dungeon without a horse’s head
How long do they normally last? - Depends.
Do they make sure each person gets an equal amount of orgasms? - Whether he’s on the top or bottom, Marik always tries to get Jonouchi off more.
How rough are they in bed? - Softer than a butterfly on the back of a bunny | 2 | 3 | 4 | The bed’s shaking and squeaking every time | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | Their dirty talk is so vulgar it’d make Dwayne Johnson blush. Also, the wall’s so weak it could collapse the next time they do it.
How much cuddling/snuggling do they do? - No touching after sex | 2 | 3 | 4 | A little spooning at night, or on the couch, but not in public | 6 | 7 | 8 | 9 | They snuggle and kiss more often than a teen couple on their fifth date to a pillow factory.
Children:
How many children will they have naturally? - Unless they get a surrogate, none.
How many children will they adopt? - Probably just one.
Who gets stuck with the most diapers? - Jonouchi. Marik always seems to be too busy when diapers need changing...or he just flat out disappears.
Who is the stricter parent? - Neither of them are particularly strict but Marik can be dangerously laid back when it comes to the whole parenting thing. His father gave him no freedom growing up so now he gives his own child a bit too much resulting in Jonouchi coming off as the bad guy because he’s the one that always has to say no.
Who stops the kid(s) from doing dangerous stunts after school? - Jonouchi. Again, Marik’s a little too laid back. Sometimes to dangerous levels.
Who remembers to pack the lunch(es)? - Jonouchi.
Who is the more loved parent? - Marik when their kid was younger because he let said child basically get away with murder. It equaled out more as their kid got older.
Who is more likely to attend the PTA meetings?- Jonouchi. Marik’s not allowed on the school grounds anymore.
Who cried the most at graduation? -Jonouchi. But it was a tie with Rishid. He’s such a proud uncle!
Who is more likely to bail the child(ren) out of trouble with the law? - Neither of them. Mainly because the kid would be too cunning to ever get caught in the first place.
Cooking:
Who does the most cooking? - Jonouchi. Marik isn’t trusted around fire. It should also be pointed out that they eat a lot of take-out.
Who is the most picky in their food choice? -Marik seeing as he’s a vegetarian.
Who does the grocery shopping? - Jonouchi because whenever Marik is sent out, he ends up buying way more than what’s on the list and basically destroys their budget for the month.
How often do they bake desserts? - Neither of them can really bake.
Are they more of a meat lover or a salad eater? -Jonouchi goes for meat while Marik goes for salad.
Who is more likely to surprise the other(s) with an anniversary dinner? - Neither of them can ever remember their anniversary so they don’t celebrate it and have no idea how long they’ve been together.
Who is more likely to suggest going out? - Marik.
Who is more likely to burn the house down accidently while cooking? - It’s amazing they haven’t both done this yet, to be honest...
Chores:
Who cleans the room? - They take turns.
Who is really against chores? - Both of them hate it but Marik more so due to being so used to always having someone do it for him. Rishid used to do all the chores back when he still lived with his siblings.
Who cleans up after the pets? - Jonouchi does the cleaning, Marik does the feeding.
Who is more likely to sweep everything under the rug? - Both of them do this. A lot. There is a goddamn ecosystem under that rug. Civilizations have been built! Tiny lifeforms worship these two as their gods.
Who stresses the most when guests are coming over? - Neither of them. They don’t really care if there are still some dirty dishes left in the sink when someone comes over.
Who found a dollar between the couch cushions while cleaning? - As if either of them ever clean between the couch cushions There’s probably a tiny fortune back there.
Misc:
Who takes the longer showers/baths? - Marik.
Who takes the dog out for a walk? - They own a bird, not a dog. Refer back to previous Irateshipping Headcanon list.
How often do they decorate the room/house for the holidays? - They’re not super big into celebrating holidays.
What are their goals for the relationship? - Try not to murder each other, basically.
Who is most likely to sleep till noon? - Both of them tend to do this on their days off.
Who plays the most pranks? - Prank wars are a regular thing in their household. Marik always wins.

"Good night, Marik." Runs her hand through his hair and kisses his forehead before leaving.
@futurxxs
At the sensation of Ishizu’s fingers sweeping through his hair, the slightest hint of a smile pulls lightly at one corner of Marik’s lips. Despite the simplicity of both gestures, he could feel his heart being stirred, perhaps even moved by her gentle touch.
She turns to leave, and Marik’s gaze follows her fondly, a few words of parting spoken in a softer tone of voice. ❝ ...Goodnight, Sister. ❞
