arthur and you except he’s drunker than a skunk and you gotta help him get to his cot. he’s pulling on your wrists, begging you to come sit with him. his usually grumpy voice crooning for your attention and affection. eventually he gets you in his lap, he’s nosing along your neck and your shoulder, mumbling incoherently, big arms wrapped tight around you like he just can’t get close enough. all he wants is for you to give him some kind of caress, touch his cheek, let him hold you. eventually, you pull back to look at him and he’s just got a dopey grin on his face, eyes glazed and half lidded, face pushing into your hands like a puppy desperate for love.
