🔎 ABOUT THIS PROJECT
===============================
Since 2020 we have been working with SeaForester to restore kelp forests in Portugal. These underwater forests are astonishing havens for marine life which also improve water quality and sequester carbon. Unfortunately, large areas of kelp have disappeared from the coast of Portugal but reverting this trend has been difficult. One of the challenges is that restoration efforts tend to require extensive diving which quickly becomes costly and time-consuming. A new technique called “green gravel” has been developed to address this challenge and make large scale marine reforestation possible. It involves growing kelp attached to pebbles in a lab before deploying them at suitable locations in the ocean. For this project, we are building a kelp nursery that will allow us to test this method on a larger scale.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025: 'Will Miss Playing in India' - Fakhar Zaman Fumes at PCB
Champions Trophy 2025: Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman has an old connection with the Champions Trophy. The left-hander made his name in international cricket through this tournament's edition played in 2017 when he helped Pakistan win a historic title.
Eight years later, Zaman is back in the mix for the Champions Trophy, however, his place in the squad is still not confirmed. The Champions Trophy 2025 has faced many controversies which were mostly based around India's travel to Pakistan.
With the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirming India not traveling to Pakistan for the tournament, Fakhar Zaman is disappointed but is also excited at the same time to face them in Dubai.

Fakhar Zaman speaks on India not traveling to Pakistan
While speaking to Sports Tak, Fakhar Zaman was asked about India's refusal to visit Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025. He claimed that the Indian team would have received an even grander welcome than what Pakistan received when they traveled to India for the ODI World Cup in 2023.
“If India had come to Pakistan, we would’ve given them an even grander welcome and hospitality but they are not coming. It's fine, but we’re excited to play against them in Dubai,” Fakhar said.
Pakistan travelled to India for the ODI World Cup in 2023 when they played most of their matches in Hyderabad. Out of all the venues, Pakistan played only in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Kolkata.
They had a disappointing tournament and finished fifth in the points table. They even lost to Afghanistan in what turned out to be a shocking result. As a result, the Men in Green failed to qualify for the semi-finals.

We will miss playing in India - Fakhar Zaman
While speaking on the same platform, Fakhar Zaman admitted that he will miss playing on Indian soil as the team enjoyed a good time in the country during the World Cup 2023. He was also pleased with the kind of support that he received in India during the tournament.
“Yes, we will definitely miss (playing in India) as we enjoyed a lot during our visit there for the ODI World Cup 2023. We were delighted with the kind of support and the hospitality we got there,” Zaman added.
According to the latest agreement between the ICC, BCCI, and PCB, India and Pakistan will not be required to travel to each other's country for the ICC events for the current cycle. While the other teams will play their matches in the host nation, India and Pakistan will play their matches through a hybrid model in any other country.

Fakhar Zaman to be selected in Pakistan's Champions Trophy squad?
India and Pakistan are the only two teams in the Champions Trophy not to have announced their final squads so far. Pakistan is believed to have submitted its preliminary squad but will trim down the squad to 15 players by February 10.
Fakhar Zaman is in line to be selected for the Champions Trophy despite not having played an ODI since the ODI World Cup 2023. Zaman was earlier dropped from Pakistan's ODI squad for the Australia tour after he had criticized the PCB's decision to drop Babar Azam.
Pakistan will open their campaign against New Zealand on February 19 at Karachi. The Men in Green will then face arch-rivals India in Dubai on February 23. They will face Bangladesh in their final group match on February 27 at Rawalpindi.

ahaha - I was thinking about timelines and when this fits - how many years do Yash and Jos play at RR together?
a quick wikipedia search says that Yash joined RR in the 2020 season, when he was only 18. But he didn't play any games then. Jos was with Rajasthan since around 2017/18 I guess? So they've played 5 seasons together. Maybe Jos and Yash can get together in 2022 or 2023? That was when Yash started having a permanent place in the RR playing 11 and opening alongside Jos, I think. While they might have interacted in the dressing room earlier, idk I don't much like the idea of them getting together as early as 2020 when Yash is only 18 to Jossy's 30. That's a bit ick. I can kinda see Yash being after Jos ever since the 2020 season, but in my mind, Jos won't really reciprocate until Yash is older, at least 20/21, and even then he's quite hesitant. Thoughts on this?
As for Yash and Shubh-- I don't think they really interact until June or July 2023, when Yash debuts for India. Prior to that, they've been opponents on a domestic and IPL level, but never played together. So maybe 2023 is when things start to go bad for Yash and Jos, and 2024 IPL is when they break up?
So Shubman and Yash bond quickly, by virtue of being the youngest people on the squad. Shub is privy to Yash's relationship problems and is often a shoulder for Yash to cry on. He can't fathom why Yash stays with a guy who is very clearly in love with someone else, but Yash refuses to hear any advice of breaking up, because he wants this to work out. It makes him burn in frustration because he knows he'll do a better job of loving Yash, treating him the right way. He wants Yash to be happy, and he clearly can't be happy with a man like Jos who makes him cry his eyes out 5 days of the week. Initially, Shub dismisses these feelings as friendship and protectiveness, but soon realises he's fallen in love with Yash. However, he never makes a move, not wanting to influence Yash in any way. Not even when he breaks up with Jos.
After the break up, Yash is distraught, but eventually moves on and recovers enough to test the waters again. Shubman quickly catches his eye, maybe there's a flicker of a subconscious feeling that was always there, even while he was dating Jos, but is only now free to express itself. Anyways, it doesn't take long for Yash to fall for Shubi, but by now Shubhi has developed a reputation as a playboy and a heartbreaker. And that's absolutely not the kind of relationship Yash wants, especially after the Jos fiasco. He doesn't want a man who'll use him for a few nights then dump him. So Yash stays away from Shubh, never overstepping the boundary of friendship. Shubman meanwhile, is waiting for Yash to cross the boundary of friendship, because he doesn't want to rush Yash into anything, especially after that last disaster of a relationship, he wants to give him enough time to heal, hence doesn't approach him first. So they just pine after each other. 🥹
But I can't figure out how they go past the pining stage. 😂 any ideas?
Yeah I think those timings all make sense
From my writing experience I’d say the quickest route past awkward pining is alcohol and waking up naked next to each other with no memory of the night before 😂

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is one of the world's most exciting and competitive cricket leagues. It brings together some of the best cricketers globally every season, competing for the coveted IPL title. Alongside the trophy, another prestigious recognition in the IPL is the IPL Orange Cap, awarded to the player with the highest run tally in a season. In this article, we will take a deep dive into the IPL Orange Cap for 2025, its current holder, and the complete list of top scorers. Additionally, we’ll explore the historical trends, the impact of the IPL Orange Cap on a player’s career, and how platforms like Indibet and 96in engage with IPL fans and players alike.
What is the IPL Orange Cap?
The IPL Orange Cap is awarded to the player who scores the most runs in a single IPL season. This honor is based on the cumulative total of runs accumulated over the course of the league's matches. The holder of the IPL Orange Cap wears the cap during every match they play. As the season progresses, the cap can be passed between players as their run totals change. The player who finishes with the most runs at the end of the season is officially crowned the IPL Orange Cap holder.
The Significance of the IPL Orange Cap
While the IPL trophy remains the ultimate prize, the IPL Orange Cap holds substantial prestige. It symbolizes individual excellence, consistency, and the ability to perform under pressure. Many of the best players in the world have worn the Orange Cap at some point in their IPL careers, cementing their place in cricket history.
IPL Orange Cap Holder for 2025
As we enter the IPL 2025 season, fans are eagerly awaiting the new winner of the IPL Orange Cap. While it is too early in the season to determine who will take home this honor, certain players are expected to lead the charge. Historically, players like Virat Kohli, David Warner, and Rohit Sharma have been strong contenders for the Orange Cap due to their consistent form in IPL matches.
One name that keeps coming up is the explosive opening batsman who can change the game in a matter of balls. His aggressive style of play makes him a serious contender for the IPL Orange Cap in 2025. The battle for the cap often revolves around players who can score fast, maintain consistency, and thrive in high-pressure situations.
Past IPL Orange Cap Winners
Over the years, the IPL Orange Cap has been won by some of the biggest names in world cricket. Players like Chris Gayle, David Warner, and Virat Kohli have been multiple-time winners. Here’s a quick look at the IPL Orange Cap winners over the years:

Current IPL 2025 Orange Cap Holder
As of now, the IPL Orange Cap for 2025 is still up for grabs, but several players are making their mark early in the season. In the chase for the Orange Cap, some familiar faces will be seen at the top of the leaderboard, with players like Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and David Warner already showing signs of great form.
Orange Cap List of Top Scorers in IPL 2025
As the IPL season progresses, we will see the top scorers battle for the IPL Orange Cap. Here’s what the Orange Cap list might look like as the matches unfold:
Player 1: Leading the pack with a dominant run-scoring streak, Player 1 has managed to consistently hit big runs, making him one of the favorites for the IPL Orange Cap in 2025.
Player 2: Known for his calm and calculated batting approach, Player 2 is another contender who could be at the top of the leaderboard by the end of the season.
Player 3: With a strong start, Player 3 is quickly becoming a consistent run-scorer, and he may be well on his way to securing the Orange Cap for 2025.
As the season progresses, the IPL Orange Cap list will continue to change, and fans will be eagerly tracking their favorite players' performances to see who can maintain their position at the top.
The IPL Orange Cap and the Impact on Players
The IPL Orange Cap not only brings individual glory but also boosts the player's career, often making them the center of attention in global cricket. Securing the Orange Cap is a significant milestone for any player. It enhances their marketability, boosts their confidence, and solidifies their status as one of the best in the game.
For young players, winning the IPL Orange Cap can be a game-changer, helping them secure lucrative contracts with top franchises in future seasons or even a place in the national team. For established players, the cap serves as a reminder of their continued dominance in T20 cricket.
Platforms Like Indibet and 96in Engage IPL Fans
As IPL fans eagerly follow the season, platforms like Indibet and 96in provide ways for fans to engage even further with the tournament. Indibet, for instance, offers a variety of cricket-related betting options, where fans can place wagers on match outcomes, top run-scorers, and even the IPL Orange Cap holder. This adds an extra layer of excitement for those who enjoy analyzing the game and testing their predictions.
Similarly, 96in offers a unique user experience with live stats, match predictions, and fantasy cricket leagues. These platforms enable fans to engage with the IPL in new and exciting ways, making the experience more interactive and enjoyable. From match insights to real-time updates, platforms like these enhance the viewing experience for fans worldwide.
IPL Winners and Their Orange Cap Journey
The relationship between the IPL Orange Cap and the IPL Winners is an interesting one. Often, the team with the highest run-scorer in the league enjoys a good chance of winning the IPL. Players who have consistently topped the run charts have often been part of championship-winning teams, though it isn’t always a guarantee. For instance, in 2020, while KL Rahul won the Orange Cap, his team, Kings XI Punjab, did not make it to the playoffs, highlighting how individual brilliance does not always translate to team success.
The balance between individual performances and team dynamics is a fascinating aspect of the IPL, and the IPL Orange Cap serves as a reminder of the importance of consistent run-scoring in the high-pressure environment of T20 cricket.
Conclusion
The IPL Orange Cap is one of the most sought-after individual awards in the IPL, symbolizing batting excellence and consistency. As the IPL 2025 season progresses, the race for the Orange Cap promises to be as thrilling as ever, with numerous players vying for the title of the league’s top run-scorer. Fans will be keeping a close eye on the Orange Cap list, tracking their favorite players’ performances.
Platforms like Indibet and 96in add a unique dimension to the IPL experience, allowing fans to engage more deeply with the tournament. The IPL Orange Cap continues to be a source of pride for players, and in 2025, the competition for this coveted prize will undoubtedly intensify, making it an exciting season to watch.

Check Out The Lowest Team Totals In IPL
In the Indian Premier League, bowlers have sometimes surpassed hitters despite the league's reputation for rapid scoring and big runs. Over the 16-year history of the competition, bowling attacks have destroyed star-studded batting lineups. The notorious record for the lowest score in IPL history belongs to Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). When they were eliminated for just 49 runs in 9.4 overs against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens on April 23, 2017, they smashed the previous record of 58 runs set by the Rajasthan Royals against the RCB itself in Cape Town in 2009. The lowest IPL 2024 total was that of the Gujarat Titans. The lowest score GT has ever had in IPL history was just 89 runs in 17.3 overs. Rashid Khan was the top scorer with 31 runs. Furthermore, in 2.3 overs, Delhi's Mukesh Kumar grabbed 3/14. Let's see which is the lowest score in IPL ever.
Royal Challengers Bangalore - 49 runs (vs Kolkata Knight Riders, Kolkata 2017)
As far as IPL scores go, Royal Challengers Bengaluru holds the record. At Eden Gardens in 2017, RCB made the lowest score in IPL against the Kolkata Knight Riders and went on to make history. With 131 runs in 19.3 overs, KKR won this low-scoring match. The score was below average, despite RCB being the favorites going into the chase. Prior to the match, RCB was the overwhelming favorite, and the score was below average. However, the second inning was even worse. As the KKR bowlers dominated the RCB, no batter reached double digits. RCB lost the game with just 49 runs in 9.4 overs. Kedar Jadhav was their top scorer with nine runs.
Rajasthan Royals - 58 runs (vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, Cape Town 2009)
Just nine runs short of the lowest-ever IPL total, the Rajasthan Royals made the second-lowest team overall. When they participated in the 2009 competition against Royal Challengers Bengaluru, they had it. It was only the second game of the season in Cape Town. To start things off, RCB won the toss and batted first. RCB likewise got off to a sluggish start, scoring only three runs from their top three. They reached 133/8 in 20 overs with 66 off 48 from Rahul Dravid. Rajasthan was knocked out for just 58 runs in 17.1 overs, with leg-spinner Anil Kumble taking a wicket for just five runs in 3.1 overs. Except for Yusuf Pathan, Tyron Henderson, and Yusuf Pathan, who each scored 11, none of their batters reached double digits. Rahul Dravid won the game by 75 runs thanks to his 66 off 48 deliveries, earning him the title of Man of the Match.
Rajasthan Royals - 59 runs (vs Royal Challengers Bangalore, Jaipur 2023)
The third-lowest cricket score in IPL history occurred during the 2023 season. The season's 60th game between the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru took place in Jaipur. In IPL history, the 2023 season had the third-lowest score. The 60th game of the season was contested in Jaipur between the Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Batting first, RCB reached a challenging 171/5. While attempting to score, both RR openers were unsuccessful. Only Shimron Hetmyer (35) and Joe Root (10) reached double figures, and without Hetmyer, the Royals may have had the lowest IPL total ever. Despite just playing 10.3 overs and scoring 59 runs, they were defeated by 112 runs. Wayne Parnell's three overs saw him take three wickets for 10.

[ad_1] Scene from IPL Mini Auction 2024 (Image: iplt20.com) / Lionel Messi with the PSG jersey (Image: PSG) The IPL 2025 Mega Auction is around the corner, and the Indian media fraternity and fans are going bonkers about it. Alongside the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, the buzz regarding the auction is palpable. Millions will be spent in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on November 24 and 25, and lives will be transformed. Top cricketers, Indians and overseas, uncapped and capped – all will go under the hammer and the franchise owners will empty their purses trying to pick the players of their choice. A certain uncapped player might fetch a huge sum while some sure bets might fetch less. The auction dynamics are hard to predict. However, there is an adverse side to this billion-dollar gala. This article strictly tries to critically analyse two types of player dealings – the IPL mega auctions and the football transfer window. When players play for a franchise or club, they build a relationship with all the team stakeholders. Venkatesh Iyer, in his interview with RevSportz, spoke of how attached to the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise he was, and how he would love to be back with the team even though they didn’t retain him. Venky Mysore, the KKR CEO, also reflected on the same issue, that such mega auctions hamper fan loyalty. A certain player who has served a franchise is now uncertain whether he’ll be a part of that side for the upcoming season. For instance, Rishabh Pant is one player for whom franchises are expected to break the bank in the upcoming auction. Punjab Kings, with the maximum purse, will have the financial edge over others. They might go all guns blazing to rope in the wicketkeeper-batter and might succeed. This is not to predict or analyse their auction strategy, but to point out that the players don’t get to choose their clubs. This is not the case when it comes to football transfers. Players’ name tags going under the hammer in the IPL Mini Auctions 2024 (Image: iplt20.com) Take a scenario where a player is unhappy with the current team. The player can request for a loan or a transfer. In the new transfer window, the player might be sold or loaned out with mutual agreements involving all parties. The IPL mega auction is a spectacle but the system raises questions about player satisfaction and fan loyalty, as players have little control over their destinations and longstanding relationships with franchises often end abruptly. Contrasting this, football’s transfer system allows for mutual agreements between players, clubs, and agents, providing greater flexibility and honouring individual preferences. For instance, Lionel Messi’s move to Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in 2021 was facilitated by mutual understanding given the club’s financial constraints, while Cristiano Ronaldo’s €100 million transfer to Juventus in 2018 respected his desire for a new challenge. Similarly, Philippe Coutinho’s loan move to Bayern Munich from Barcelona in 2019 allowed all parties to benefit, while giving the player a chance to revive his career. Neymar’s world-record €222 million transfer to PSG in 2017 reflected his ambition to step out of Messi’s shadow, while Oscar’s €60 million move from Chelsea to Shanghai SIPG highlighted how financial incentives drive decisions in emerging markets. Brazil’s Oscar after his move to Shanghai Port (Image: AFC) Such flexibility ensures that players’ ambitions align with the financial and strategic goals of clubs, creating narratives that resonate with fans. In contrast, the IPL’s auction dynamics disrupt player-fan connections. For a player to have a healthy connection with a franchise takes a lot of toil – it’s a long journey. Now, going by the current auction scenarios, franchises have to make a priority list of retentions and leave out certain players, who they may not be able to buy back at the auction. The player who wants to stay with his current side wouldn’t have a chance to negotiate terms. Even if the player’s plans don’t align with the team’s, there’s nothing much he can do.
While the IPL auction is integral to maintaining competitive balance, adopting elements of the football transfer system could address some shortcomings. Allowing players more agency or introducing trade windows could help franchises retain iconic players while ensuring competitive fairness. The reality though is that the IPL auction was never modelled on football transfers. Lalit Modi, the league’s creator, wanted to recreate the glitz and glamour of draft day in US sport. But there, only newbies, fresh out of college or even high school, are part of the draft. The other players already in the system are traded based on their wishes, or they sign with a new franchise once they’re free agents. More from this author, click HERE In that sense, the IPL auction is neither here nor there. It’s not only for new players, and it’s hard to escape the notion that the priority is to create a TV spectacle every two or three years. Ultimately, both systems have merits and challenges. But football’s emphasis on mutual agreements provides a compelling model for fostering loyalty, enhancing player satisfaction, and maintaining fan engagement—something the IPL could consider as it evolves. Now, going by the current auction scenarios, franchises have to make a priority list of retentions and leave out certain players, who they may not be able to buy back at the auction. okay I was wondering how many Aussies you could ship Virat with! So obviously Pat and Josh, as has already been mentioned, make good pairs with Virat, there's some major potential for rivals to lovers and cute banter there. Steve and Virat can make good enemies to friends to lovers!! Like they were at each other's throats throughout the Border Gavaskar trophies in 2015 and 2017, but then later after sandpaper gate happened, Virat took a stand for Steve and stopped the Indian crowds from booing him, and yeah, they've been going strong since then! Did you see the feature they did before the BG trophy in 2021? It was really sweet 🥰 Greenie and Virat seem to have chemistry too. And idk if you know this, but Virat and Uzzie have been friends for a long time, since Virat was around 16/17, Usman mentioned that Virat was in Australia for a training camp and he was too young to drive then, so he made Uzzie drive him around hahaha 🤣 I suppose you could make a case for a Virat hatesex ship with either Faulkner or Mitch Johnson. Ooh, also Painey? 2018 BG Trophy was peak hatesex again. Virat and Maxwell have been very cute at the IPL in recent years too. 9 Australians, lol Virat definitely HAS a type. 🤣🤣🤣
yeah for real!! it's crazy that virat has so much chemistry with aussie's that he could hit it off so well with steve 😭
i love virat/greenie so much too i almost feel like i manifested it by shipping them as soon as greenie signed to rcb lmaoo. also i didn't realise his friendship with uzzie actually went that far back though that's SO cool!!
virat hatesex has sooo much potential! in fact the only way i can imagine him getting together with patty would be if he had history with painey (and by the look of it he definitely does)
maxi and virat are such a married couple they're so cute! and they're the perfect juxtaposition for maxi and finchy who are terminally divorced </3
also we can't forget the aussie women either - you could very easily make a case for virat and ellyse or alyssa too!
