Nigerian couple, Ashioma and Uba got married on the 4th of November, 2017. Their traditional wedding was planned by Rellas Cakes & More while the white wedding was planned by Nigerian wedding planner, IPC Events. In true LoveWeddingsNG fashion, we spent sometime stalking this wedding and decided to share what we loved about this Nigerian wedding.

1. Pre Wedding Shoot: 

Their pre-wedding shoot with Euclase Photography was simple, practical and stunning. We love that they had a session in a studio (one of the top wedding trends we spotted in 2017).

2. Bridal Party Invites & Gifts: The groomsmen and bridesmaids of #UbAsh were treated to custom invites and thank you gifts put together by The Gift Fairy NG. The groomsmen received these boxes inviting them to join the squad while the bridesmaids got ‘I Do’ totes and personalised girlie hangers.

  3. The Couple’s Outfits:

Ashioma and Uba came to slay! All their outfits right from the traditional wedding to the white wedding were on point. From gorgeous aso oke fabric by Bimmms24 tailored by Tubo to Ashioma’s stunning wedding gown by April by Kunbi and Uba’s dope suit by Kimono Kollection; check on it!

4. The Groom & Groomsmen: 

It’s not everyday that the spotlight is on the groom and his groomsmen but the #UbAsh men came ready. We already told you Nigerian traditional grooms and their groomsmen are not smiling! We weren’t joking

Ada and Eze got married on Saturday, the 13th of January 2018. The couple had a lovely outdoor ceremony at the Bics Garden Boat Club in Lagos and a Great Gatsby themed  reception in Lekki. See five things we loved about their lovely wedding, planned by IPC Events.

Ada’s makeup was done by #LWNGVendor, T.A’LaMode Beauty and her hair was styled by Hair by Sleame. We loved how simple and elegant the finished look was

The bride wore a stunning gown by Nigerian bridal designer, April by Kunbi

The bridesmaids had 2 outfits: Usually, it’s the bride and groom that have multiple outfits but at #AdaEze2018, the bridesmaids were not left out. For the ceremony, they wore white off shoulder dresses and later changed into all black jumpsuits for the reception in line with the Great Gatsby theme. Both outfits were designed by Sue Manuell

Outdoor wedding ceremony: Ada & Eze had an outdoor ceremony at Bics Garden Boat Club, which is increasingly becoming the outdoor wedding venue of choice for couples in Lagos.

Spraying levels: This is one thing we really loved about this wedding. You see in this era of 30 billion gang, every penny counts so when your guests decide to spray you money in bundles, you know you’re getting closer to achieving your financial target. We hope the lady who helped pick money read our tips for the Nigerian wedding money picker before hand.

Why spray notes when you can spray bundles in foreign currency If this is how you want to spray us, please feel free to even interrupt the first dance, it’s okay. We were chatting at the LoveWeddingsNG HQ about this last week and we realised that over 20 Nigerian wedding vendors have gotten married this year alone. Let’s take you through all the Nigerian vendors who got married in 2017; at least those that we’re aware of.

Oshewa Beauty (#Ifewa17): Bimbo and Agbone (Ife) had their traditional wedding on the 6th of January 2017 in Ilesha; their white wedding held the day after, on the 7th of January, 2017. Her wedding was planned by IPC Events and the bride did her makeup herself.

Faces by Labisi (#LexyLabs17): Princess Labisi Folawiyo got married to Prince Aderemi Sijuwade on the 11th of March 2017.

Solange Hair & Beauty Shop (#Chinsol17): Makeup artist, Solange got married to her fiance – Chino in April 2017.

Lavish Bridal (#TKTheWedding #TKEverAfter17): Bridal stylist, Temi of Lavish Bridals got married to Kehinde in May. Their wedding was planned by 2706 Events.

Lumi Morg & Toun Okunnu (#WaitandGet17): Two talented photographers, Lumi Morgan and Toun Okunnu got married in July 2017. We loved their wedding hashtag – #WaitandGet17, perfect for photographers.

The Wedding TV (#Lurewa): Nigerian wedding cinematographer, Nosa of The Wedding TV got married to Eniola in September 2017. Their wedding was a Gatsby themed wedding.

GrandKomanda (#TheGrands2017): Wedding MC, Grand Komanda and Lola Uche got married in October. Their wedding was planned by Zapphaire Events.

Ms Makor (#Alfreds2017): Nigerian bridal designer, Anita (a.k.a Ms Makor) got married to Olayemi in October; their wedding was planned by Exquisite Events, Abuja. The bride designed her bridal gown – a 4 meters long , 3 meters wide dress which weighed 40kg. Read more about it here.

Yomi Casual (#TheCasuals2017): Nigerian suit designer, Yomi Casual got married to Grace in October 2017.

Emmanuel Oyeleke Photography (#Mimanuel2017): Nigerian photographer, Emmanuel Oyeleke had his traditional wedding to model, Nanfe Jemimah Bonita Kefas in October

Brookmatrix Photography: Photographer, Brookmatrix Photography got married to Sarah on Friday, the 27th October and Saturday, the 28th October 2017. Their wedding was planned by Events by Eki.

  Access Cards NG & The Gift Fairy NG (#TaiDKnot #DWedding17): Dami and Deji of the Access Cards NG will be saying ‘I Do’ in November. The bride also runs The Gift Fairy NG; we featured their love story and pictures from their pre-wedding shoot.
