Dick saves superboy by detonating a thermo charge on the evil Superman robot. Hes hit in the face by the weakened bot and becomes disoriented. The bot is about to hit him once more, harder and more fatal than before, when Donna Troy steps in and kicks the bot back. The two exchange a series of dangerous blows and when Donna has the bit pinned beneath her, it uses its laser eye to burn through her heart which kills Donna instantly.

An instant later Roy and Tim’s plan follows through and the bot is shut down. They both look to see if their plan was a success and find dick cradle the dead body of his friend. Roy comes closer to close Donna’s eyes and rest her head on his lap.
