A young girl travels to Berlin, searching for a rock-star who got her pregnant in a one night stand. She gets stuck on the subway, and she meets a vast array of different characters.

Musicals aren't my favourite, but I have bit of a sweet spot for this adaptation, which was made just before of the fall of the Berlin Wall. It's a bit chaotic, imperfect, barely has a plot, but with lots of energy and is entirely taking place in and around the subway.

None of the songs can be considered hits, but they are catchy, and many of the lyrics are funny.

It has lots of self-assured characters typical for Berlin. In some way, Berliners are the New Yorkers of Germany.
