I honestly don’t get why the off season episodes of the layover aren’t as popular, I’ve been re-listening to some of them and they’re so comforting to me, it feels like I’m hanging out with the guys

the visual of painting an alien over your reflection with a baguette is so creative because it showcases the alienation that comes hand in hand with falling in love (baguette ~ france ~ paris ~ the city of lovers). you devote yourself to that sacred feeling or that special person and cracks appear between you and the rest of the world. if your love finds its answer, flowers might bloom and adorn those cracks. but if your lover abandons you in the city of love, the ground you're standing on becomes a lonely planet and you - a lonely alien trapped on it.
