Why Ms. O (Agent Oprah) deserves your vote
youtube
Ms. O, or, as she's referred to in this poll, Agent Oprah, is the leader and director of Odd Squad Precinct 13579, the focus of Seasons One and Two of Odd Squad. She is, in my opinion, incredibly deserving of everyone's votes. Of course, I know simply saying that on its own does not count for much of an argument. Luckily, I'm always prepared to back my claims up with evidence when needed.
In the beginning, Ms. O seemed like a pretty typical bossy manager with a short temper. However, despite this, she has always clearly cared for her agents. Through the course of Season One, likely due to parent complaints regarding the show, she seemed to be working on some of her more noticeable issues, being less quick to lose her temper and working on being "nicer" overall. In a (mostly) episodic show aimed towards children, character development like this, however subtle was a breath of fresh air.
Ms. O has also shown herself to be resourceful and clever, as well as skilled at planning ahead. To even become an Odd Squad Director, she had to solve countless cases, as well as outsmart her own boss in a test designed to see if she was up to the task. Before joining Odd Squad, she created the math room, which was used constantly throughout Season One, being an important asset for the agents up until the introduction of their watches in Season Two. She helped create a plan to convince Odd Todd, Odd Squad's biggest threat, to leave his life of villainy. She, alongside Otis, helped save the world from the plans of his evil duck family, and then took him in and trained him to become an Odd Squad agent so he would have a place to stay and a place to belong. During the events of the movie, it's revealed that she dug out secret tunnels into headquarters to use in the event of a takeover, which come in handy, as well as having the foresight to sneak an oddometer out of headquarters to monitor the oddness even if she can't access Odd Squad HQ.
On top of all of this, at the end of Season Two, Oprah is promoted to the position of Big O, the director of not just one precinct, but Odd Squad as a whole. This is likely the biggest honor any agent could ever possibly receive, and if Oprah is deserving of such an honor, she's more than deserving of your vote.
Plus, a vote for Oprah is a vote for Odd Squad as a whole. Odd Squad is one of an ever shrinking number of children's shows that actually treats its audience with respect, choosing to write truly engaging stories rather than opting to instead just overload the audience with bright colors and loud noises. One of the creators and writers of Odd Squad, Tim McKeon, worked previously as a writer for the show Gravity Falls. While I likely can't argue that Odd Squad is more well known or more recognizable than Mario, I think that, at least personally, it deserves some more attention.
So, please, vote for Oprah. She's an incredible leader in an incredible show. Odd Squad itself is so very deeply important to me, and Oprah has been someone I've been able to look up to since I was a child.
Odd Squad needs you!
