Give me mc struggling with the new reality that they now have all the time in the world, and not even a clue where to begin with it

Give me mc taking on way more responsibility then they should in that attempt to prove that it wasn’t a mistake to turn them (right?)

I'm really disappointed with the way pb handled Astoria and Lewyn. All the elders really, they could've been such complex villains and great morally grey characters like bloodbound's gauis and Rhea. All those centuries of experience, trauma, living through multiple lifetimes, faking your death and leaving your home only to come back with a brand new identity. But instead they're 2D evil villains that only exist to conveniently complicate the main characters' life when needed and pull the plot forward.
