you wanted that number one spot, and he knew that. that’s why when he saw how focused you were on crunching the leaves and sticks perfectly, he’d cheer you on, but then right before you’d stomp on it, he’d do something, anything, to get you flustered as fuck.

you’ve lost count of the amount of times just from that night that he’s kissed your cheek, neck, forehead, literally anything he could. and no matter how many times you promised to yourself you’d get the best crunch and wouldn’t melt from the affection, it never was fulfilled. 

you were just a sucker for his touch, okay??

“sorry, pumpkin, can’t letcha’ get the number one spot,”

“yes you can, and you will,” you squeezed between him and the trees nearby you and began to search for the best leaf you could possibly find, playfully thrashing at him when he pulled your back to his chest with one strong arm.

you shook your head no, and he chuckled when you pulled it over your head not a second later. even if you were angry about the leaf thing, you were cold.

“that’s my girl,” he smiled at the sight of you in his large hoodie.

you were quiet the rest of the walk, too focused on trying to get a good crunch to respond.

there were so many trees and bushes around, there’s got to be at least one...

to your dismay, there wasn’t one good enough. not a leaf, not a branch. he came out number one in the end.

while you were slipping into the tent with him behind you, you heard him mutter, “well, a kiss will get you to forgive me, right?”

you turned your head, cocking your head. silly you. he grabbed your head and brought it to his, bringing your lips together.

it made you feel like you were made of fireworks, and, in a sense he was right. that little shit... using his sweetness to his advantage.

when he let you go, you were breathless.

“uh oh, you okay, y/n?” he smirked, enjoying the deep blush that was on your face.

you nodded your head with a smile, sitting down on the king sized air mattress you both shared to take off your shoes.

you sat down onto the soft bed, smiling as he sat down beside you.

you both took some time to get settled and comfy, and you ended up with your head on eijirou’s chest and his arm was snaked around your waist, holding you close to him.

“i won, ya know what that means?” kirishima said once you’d both gotten comfortable on the mattress. he pulled you closer to him, and the warmth of the blankets plus his body heat surrounding you felt like heaven itself, and you never wanted to leave the safety and comfort of it.

you scoffed and clung to his side, not exactly excited to go out in the cold once more.

“yup, you have to stargaze with me,”

“we have the hot cocoa mix ready though,” you groaned, not wanting to leave the warmth that was trapped inside of the tent.

“afterwards,” he smiled at you, helping you up from the mattress and dragging you back outside of the tent when he’d suddenly decided he was done with cuddling for now.

he lead you down a small path, one you didnt exactly remember seeing ever? but you also didn’t know your way around like he did.

your heart melted when you saw the amount of preparation he had put into the setup. there were blankets and your favorite snacks all set up around them.

“aww eijirou,” you pressed your hands to your cheeks, pretending that it was to warm them up when in reality you wanted to hide your blush.

“you look really beautiful in the moonlight,” he murmured and laid down on a blanket, beckoning you over to lay on the other.

once you both were staring at the stars above you, a hush fell over both of you as you just. enjoyed the time.

with so much hero work, kirishima was nearly always busy, so times like these were something that meant the world to you.

he’d always make time for you, and you knew that.

“honestly, the biggest motivator to be a hero for me, is you. knowing you’re my biggest fan helps me keep a smile on my face,” he turned his head to face you and beamed, smiling harder when you put your hand over his.
