The Industry of Sundance - Common Traits

The films of Sundance is something I want to touch on first. The theme truly stood out to me while I watched the films. I could see how these stories were taking risks and saying that “ I don’t care about the regular way of doing things, let’s tell this the way I want.” All of the films I saw- Koko-di Koko-da, Clemency, Sea of Shadows, The ART of BE(i)NG- were some of the most unique films I’ve seen this year. These best represented the Sundance brand because they were brave and different. 

These films taught me that no matter how hard things may seem, no matter how many people believe in you, you should stay true to your vision and show people why you created the things you did.
