wait more rots thoughts. again its crazy that natalie portman and ewan mcgregor are actors who are good. bc when obi wan goes to see padme to ask her where anakin is, and she asks if hes going to kill him. and he says nothing. and then asks if the baby is anakins and she says nothing and then he just goes "im sorry" and leaves that scene would go crazy if the movie was fucking good!! like!

bc the implication rly is that obi wan knew all along. and hes not asking because he needs to know but as a way of apology to padme for failing her!! for failing to save anakin from himself and HER FROM ANAKIN! because like, theyre friends. he cares about her and she thinks of him as someone she can trust in a crisis!! shes married to her brother!! its such a gut wrenching scene out of context.

what really undercuts it is that literally minutes before that yoda is like you have to kill anakin (crazy thing for yoda to say but whatever) and obi wan is like i cant hes my brother but then by the time he gets to padme he seemed to have resolved to go kill anakin and anyway i just think it wouldve been interesting if he went up to her and was like. we need to find him i need to talk to him. we can make him understand bc were the only two people who really actually care about him!! instead of the stupid scene of obi wan stowing away on padmes ship. when padme confronts anakin it shouldve been the two of them... wouldve made more sense that obi wan isnt there like awkwardly standing on the ramp but theyre both trying to talk him down and he only gets agressive when anakin hurts padme or something. idk.

anyway my take is always gonna be: god this movie wouldve fucked if they built up some character dynamics, or alternatively, show me obi wan and padmes faghag relationship!!
