IB Security Assistant Eligibility Criteria

Matriculation (10th class pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board of Education, and Knowledge of any one of the local language/dialect Age Limit Minimum and Maximum age limit for the Candidates applying for the MHA Security assistant 2018 post is given below. Not exceeding 27 years Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST & by 3 years for OBC candidates. Only male candidates belonging to General and OBC category are required to pay the fee. All SC/ST, Ex-servicemen & female candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee. Note: Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment in civil side under Central Govt in Group ‘C’ posts on regular basis after availing benefits of reservation given to them are required to pay the fee.

Selection Process

Selection of the candidates to the post of security assistant in the Ministry of Home Affairs will be through a fair recruitment process. This recruitment will be done in three phase. Written Test Descriptive Test Interview On the basis of their performance in Tier-I exam, candidates would be shortlisted for Tier-II & Tier-III exam at 10 times the number of vacancies. However cut-off for Tier-II & Tier-III exam in different categories may go higher depending upon the marks obtained by candidates and number of vacancies. Similarly, the criteria of 10 times the number of vacancies. The final selection would be further subject to successful completion of Character & Antecedent verification followed by the medical examination, etc.

IB Security Assistant Exam Pattern

In the written test of the Intelligence Bureau Security assistant, there will be 100 questions for 100 marks. These 100 Questions will be asked from 4 different subjects.
