I had a dream about a soulmate AU.

Adora didn't grow up in the Fright Zone, so she never knew Catra, but she still becomes She-Ra. The only way you can tell someone is your soulmate is that you get their powers when you first meet, so only people with Princesses as soulmates really know for sure. For example, Bow was able to teleport when he first met Glimmer and it freaked him out.

But for Adora and Catra, the first time that they met was when Catra was promoted to Force Captain for the attack on Thaymor and She-Ra came to defend. Catra and Adora see each other and all of a sudden Catra looks down and the ground is a lot farther away than she remembers and a sword was in her had. She turned into a version of She-Ra.
