I had a dream about a soulmate AU.

Adora didn't grow up in the Fright Zone, so she never knew Catra, but she still becomes She-Ra. The only way you can tell someone is your soulmate is that you get their powers when you first meet, so only people with Princesses as soulmates really know for sure. For example, Bow was able to teleport when he first met Glimmer and it freaked him out.

But for Adora and Catra, the first time that they met was when Catra was promoted to Force Captain for the attack on Thaymor and She-Ra came to defend. Catra and Adora see each other and all of a sudden Catra looks down and the ground is a lot farther away than she remembers and a sword was in her had. She turned into a version of She-Ra.

for real though, waverly would be the no nonsense secret princess and nicole would be a jedi protecting the order. the jedi aren’t supposed to fall in love but nicole was falling from the moment she met waverly. 

they date in secret but things start to get tricky when waverly’s long lost sister comes back after being gone for so long. but unbeknownst to her, nicole already knows wynonna as the jedi prodigy who ran away. 

tension arises but that has to wait as there is a disturbance in the force and the dark side are mobilising. darth svane is back and rumour has it he has found his sith apprentice…

headcanon: it’s a very slow and quiet afternoon in purgatory - no revenants, no demons, not even a stray cow.

sheriff nicole haught is trying to stretch out the last of the paperwork she has left to do until she can actually leave. waverly is perched on her desk and suddenly starts drawing hearts all over the page she is working on. nicole pretends to be annoyed and tries to tickle her as punishment, but wynonna barges in the office, makes a retching noise and proceeds to steal away her sister. 

already missing the warm presence of her love, nicole looks down at her report and tears off one of the corners with a heart drawn on. she opens up her wallet and slides it into the transparent window next to her favourite picture of waverly that she keeps in there
