#I've never had any ship beat them yet they are eternal

Oh my fair non-canon ships, I love them. My forever and ever ship is and will always remain not canon but I'm with you, I never once argued or tried to push it against the canon ships. What other people think of my ships is not my business and I'd prefer them do me the favor of keeping it to themselves, hah.
The CS angst was a lot, wasn't it? How many times can one man die?
It's tragically abysmal how they discount her isn't it? She's out there making the best of it and yet, people always gotta get themselves in a mess. Which is funny how everyone blames her for it like 90%+ of them aren't doing it where people can see and the other 10% has been to protect them. Okay then. I am eternally grateful the things I was doing at 19 are not on some list of unforgivable crimes I get held to every time something in my life happens.
Eloise, my love. You are decently self centered and I think now it's slightly harder to ignore. I remember thinking that in RMB too tbh. She was very cagey about what she was doing while demanding Penelope tell her everything. She seemed a bit put out about Colin and Penelope having this whole relationship she was unaware of like her idea of Penelope shouldn't have to change.
I do think we had Colin being more protective of her for a good reason not just as a set up to where he hurts her at the end of the season. If he hears something beforehand or knows something she doesn't, I think he won't handle it well. Bringing in book elements would almost have to mean some version of his reaction. He was so angry but so worried for her. I think Hero Complex Colin is very capable of coming out in full force.
Oh for sure, I doubt too many people are going to remember any of rumors or other stuff after we get a full season of Polin. I've seen some of the worst takes I've ever seen today, ha, so I think it's possible someone somewhere is going to write an essay on how she should have ended up with LOWK but that seems like a personal problem. I totally get why people might be unhappy about either direction but I agree with you, after their first kiss I have doubts about any of this infighting being a thought worth anyone's time.
I would say 95% of my ships are canon, I dunno I just seem to for the most part end up liking canon storylines. But I would never deny something someone else might enjoy. But I just don’t see the point in going after each other for no reason. Or in the case of what I’ve been seeing today, having ships on the same show attacking each other. Like I just honestly don’t get the point. Shipping is supposed to be a lovely thing that you enjoy that gives you feels. It should make you happy. Not cause grief and anger to others. I like the pretty pictures and the giddiness of all the fan fiction that makes the heart skip a beat.
HAHA Hook did have a way of dying A LOT but God he looked good doing it!!!
I totally agree though about Eloise, she was running around with a lot of her own secrets being very cagey but she was very angry that Penelope didn’t share her darkest secret with her. And book Eloise even more so. So going into Season 3, very very curious if we get any scent of her keeping secrets from her family at this stage of the story seeing how they are tied together in the book but also knowing that we could very well either skip into Benedicts story from here or go into hers next season.
I do think we are going to see a very curious Eloise as she starts to sniff out something going on between Pen and Colin. I am just not sure if it will be that she will try and warn her brother away from Pen because or her knowledge of LW or if its genuine curiosity of what is going on between them because I don’t think she has any sort of clue that either one of them would have feelings for each other at this point.
I want the scene where Eloise finds out that Colin knows about him knowing to be her in shock that he isn’t angry about it. And him being more upset with her that she is still angry after knowing for this long. Because damn girl, talk about holding a grudge, its been a whole season! Lol
Today has been a day of people being angry and floating red flags and angry feelings and sadly, Colin is taking a lot of the brunt of the anger so I’ll be happy for the next 3 weeks to go by quickly so everyone can get the season moving and realize (hopefully so) that they got bent out of shape for nothing. And maybe so some of the other ships in the Bridgerton family can be a bit more welcoming to the next family member up because honestly, that’s the whole point of this show I thought! Next season will be a different person all together. Everyone gets their day in the sun. There is enough love to go around people! Be kind!

Do I think Cloud had romantic feelings for Aerith? (plottwist, the answer is yes)
Yes, you read that right, I think Cloud has romantic feelings for Aerith. Why do I think that? Well, I will tell you one thing, it's not because of the evidence, that's for sure. The debate between Tifa and Aerith often regresses into a complete denial that either of the two shipped characters has any interest what-so-ever at any time for any other character aside from perhaps disdain to the point where Cleriths will actually pretend to believe that even as a child Cloud only wanted to be friends and Tifa was just a bully. If aliens came to our planet and tried to reason out how humans experience love based on the arguments between Clotis and Cleriths, they'd probably come away believing that the full range of human romantic experience can be boiled down into 2 states of being:
1: Complete an utter disinterest. and 2: Absolute eternal love for one person and one person only. If the other side is able to show that Cloud has even the slightest level of attachment to another women the "complete disinterest" option disappears and both sides act as though option 2 is then the only one that's left. "Cloud said 'But, I’m -I mean- we’re here for you, right?", that means he wants to have ghost babies with Aerith!"
I have two reasons for assuming that Cloud had feelings for Aerith and neither have to do with any factual evidence, because there isn't any. The first is based on the facts of reality.Cloud had romantic feelings for Aerith, because Aerith exists, and Cloud is straight. That's it, end of discussion. I am going to be blunt here, Aerith is hot, and Cloud is a man. If an attractive woman talks to us and shows overt signs of interest, we're going to react to that to SOME degree, I am pretty confident in saying that Cloud even had some interest in Jessie by the time she kicked the bucket, insignificant though it may be. If you then make the girl nice, and add some magical powers to make her stand out more.....she's going to stand out.
Secondly, I think he has feelings for her because this is a video game, and people like romance. So if Cloud can have feelings for Aerith without it ruining the story, I have no doubt that SE would play into that and give the fans a bit of that satisfaction. I also think that FFVII is a story that tries to avoid perfectly clear black and white storytelling, and that if forced to choose between a clean resolution where Cloud has always been 100% dedicated to 1 girl, and the other was 100% just a red herring, or one where that's mostly true, but there is still some lingering inner conflict. Then I just assume they'd choose the second, because why not?
But not every erection deserves a mention. Not every woman that I've talked to nervously at a bar deserves to be mentioned in the same breath as the love of my life. Even if my heart did beat 100 times during that one minute.
Love isn't the temporary flood of oxytocin injected into your brain after a drunken one night stand. It's the feeling of comfortable satisfaction when you're sitting on the couch with someone you feel safe with and appreciate inside and out, because the time you spent together, and the things you've gone through together has granted you a deep understanding of who they are, and you appreciate their qualities, the good and even the bad, simply because they are THEIR qualities. The fact remains that similar to how Aeriths initial interest in Cloud came about because of his connections with Zack, any feelings Aerith has in death for the "real" Cloud are mostly remnants of the feelings she developed for a lie. The feelings might still be there, but they're not yet based on who Cloud actually is, and are therefore not yet relevant, and since she will never meet or spend time with the real Cloud, putting a lot of stock in them is absurd from a real life perspective, and bad storytelling from a fictional perspective. Similarly, I am sure Clouds heart skipped a bit when this pink bouncy magical girl put her face inches away from his. But ultimately all of that comes down to absolutely nothing if it's not something Cloud himself chooses to validate. Cloud wasn't himself, he didn't know who he was, what he appreciated in a woman, or why, and was generally all kinds of screwed up. From both a reality perspective, as well as a storytelling perspective, the idea that what Cloud felt during his fake persona should be relevant to his real persona, is ludicrous. Yes, some emotions may have carried over, but the idea that the mere existence of these emotions within real Cloud is itself enough to say that real Cloud feels that way about her, is vacuous at best. For us to talk about real meaningful romantic thoughts towards Aerith from the real Cloud, it's not enough for the emotions to exist within him, they need to COME from him as well, the lingering remnants of Soldier Clouds time with Aerith have no meaning. It's real Cloud that needs to actively think about Aerith, and consider her as a possible romantic partner, that needs to decide to look at her through a romantic lens, that needs to consider her, and decide to want her, intellectually as well as merely biologically. And I don't for a second believe that that ever happened. When Cloud became himself again, he didn't do so in isolation, alone and with nothing but free time to let his mind wander and get attached to this memory of a girl he knew while he was braindamaged. No, he 'became himself' next to, and because of, an even more attractive girl, one whom he had loved his entire life, and more importantly, had actively pursued his entire life. You don't develop feelings for a dead girl while your dream girl is right next to you, nor do you go through the mental effort required to keep the feelings you might have had for said dead girl intact. From a narrative perspective, you don't introduce a cute pink girl, designed to get people attached to her, then show the main character get attached to her, and then go " HAHA, IT WAS ALL JUST A DREAM!"... But you also don't write the twist that the main character was a proxy for her ex, and that his entire sub-concious, story-arc, and basically life revolved around the other main girl that he apparently loved since he was a child, and have that be meaningless. What you write is that Cloud had some feelings for Aerith that are hard to define, but that he ends up with Tifa, the girl he loved all along, while still cherishing the memories and feelings they all shared with the pink girl, whatever they might have been.

Y/N and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day
ft. OikAka (Oikawa x Akaashi)
!GN Reader!
Thanks so much for the request anon! Ngl I've never considered this ship but it kinda makes a lot of sense? Like damn they'd be so cute together- and with the reader? Woo! Love it! Going to go for hurt/comfort in this one!
Also yes, the title is based on that one kids book.
Today had been a pretty terrible day for you. Your boss was in a bad mood- meaning she had been increasingly rude to you throughout the day, the office's wifi cut out while you were finishing up the report you had worked tirelessly on for the past week, and you had accidentally dropped your phone in a puddle- screen down- effectively cracking the screen and rendering it unusable (since the insides got wet too). Needless to say, it was quite possibly the worst day you've ever experienced. It took absolutely every ounce of strength to prevent yourself from bursting into tears in the street. There was nothing you wanted to do besides break down and eat a tub of ice cream- actually, being comforted by your lovers would be a good alternative. The only good thing that had happened so far was getting to go home early- since your boss was not in a working mindset and instead decided to go get drunk, a little after noon. It's not really a good thing actually, just means you'll have more work to do the day after tomorrow.
Crying sounded really good right now.
Fifteen minutes later you got off the bus and walked into your apartment complex. The elevator ride to the fifteenth floor was devoid of any other residents. Alone in your misery, you allowed your bottom lip to wobble.
The elevator dings- signaling that you've arrived on your floor.
You step out of the lift and into the hall. The walk to your front door is just as long as usual but somehow feels as though it took an eternity. Seems like your bad fortune followed you home- since the house key breaks, leaving the bottom half in the lock itself.
You're locked outside.
Again, it's a struggle to hold back the tears.
Keiji and Toru wouldn't be home at the moment, since the both of them were out on a date. (There's nothing wrong with that- it's just as important to have one on one dates as it is to have dates with the three of you. You also have plenty of dates with just Toru or Keiji by themselves.) Looks like you'll have to call your landlord... oh wait your phone is broken... and you forgot that he's on his yearly vacation in Seoul at the moment.
Maybe one of your neighbors will let you use their phone to call one of your partners! Nodding to yourself, you get up and knock on Rina-san's door. She's not home. Swallowing your mild frustration, you move along the hall to the next door. Kento-san's not home either. This pattern continues for the next few doors- eventually you just give up. The other apartments are vacant after all, still under renovation.
You return back to your apartment's door and slide down to the ground- back to the wood. Lips quivering, frustration evident, you bow your head and let the tears fall. There's no other noise in the hallway aside from your quiet sobs.
Today was just the worst.
Did you accidentally upset the universe somehow? Or maybe you said something disrespectful and some culture's god was angry at you.
Tears still streaming from your tear ducts, you let your head softly slam back against the door. There's so many things you're feeling right now. Sadness- because you really wanted to have a good day and now that you can't have that you want to be comforted, resentment- at the world, at yourself, at everyone. It wasn't fair- and by that you mean everything- every single, little thing was unfair. Anger- because damnit what else could you be feeling right now? The situation was beyond your control- anyone would feel angry in your shoes. It's hard to fathom that somewhere in the world, someone was suffering worse than you were at the moment.
You didn't care about them.
All you were focused on was how you were feeling.
Thinking that way suddenly made you feel very self conscious.
Maybe there was a reason for the day going like this.
A humbling experience perhaps?
That thought had you seriously wondering if you had actually done something unfathomably terrible... but your memory came up blank.
The lift dinged.
You had to force yourself to look in the direction of the noise.
The overhead lighting seemed almost heavenly- surrounding your saviors in an unearthly way and appearing to give them halos.
Why did they look so shocked to see you?
Isn’t that what they’re here to do?
Save you from your plight?
“Y/n darling, what are you doing here on the ground?” Keiji asks, beating Toru by a millisecond and running over to your side- pulling you into his comforting embrace. His hold makes you feel safe, likening him to the firm, concrete walls of strongholds. Yes, Keiji feels secure, strong, and upright. You just know that you can collapse against him and he won’t waver.
Looks like your tears aren’t dried out yet, because you let out a choked sob, dripping snot and all- burying your face into his neck.
“Shh, it’s alright baby- me and Keiji have you.” Toru says softly, finally coming to your side and wrapping his long arms around the two of you. His hug feels different. It’s like lava- but not quite so. He could burn you- but he chooses to use his heat to bring you comfort instead- only burning those he deems a threat to what he calls his. He’s flexible but will give it all up at a moments notice- trading that mobility for statuesque stillness- letting himself cool, despite his better judgement, in order to become a tall, rock wall capable of protecting you and Keiji.
You’re warm and you’re safe.
They construct walls around you.
So you let your own walls fall, trusting them to protect you when you’re at your most vulnerable.
“I-I had a really bad d-day.” You whimper into the ravenette’s milky skin. He can feel the hot tears against the column of his neck but chooses not to say anything- instead he holds you tighter. “My boss w-was in a s-shitty mood, I couldn’t f-finish my report in time c-cause the wifi cut out. My p-phone broke- and my k-key did too-” Overwhelmed once again, you cut yourself off and fall back into silence, sniffling quietly.
“I’m sorry Y/n, you shouldn’t have had to go through all of that.” Keiji says- and you can hear the sincerity in his tone. You bask in his company for a long while, trying to pretend that time stopped- just for the three of you.
“I need to get the key out okay? Then we can go take a nice bath inside, how’s that sound?” Keiji whispers softly, not wanting to upset you but also wanting you to understand the benefit of letting him go. You’re tempted to say no- wanting to just enjoy his touch, but your rational side tells you that you’ll get all the cuddles you want once you’re in the apartment.
“O-okay... sounds good.” You move to cling to Toru, while Akaashi begins removing some bobby pins he has hidden in his hair and gets to work.
“Hey babe.” Your brunette lover murmurs, turning your chin up to gaze into his eyes. “You’re wheezing so much, am I really that breathtaking?” The two of you stare at each other- personally you don’t know if you want to laugh at his horrible attempt at humor or if you want to cry. So you settle on slapping the back of his head.
“Not the time ‘ru.” You scold, but there’s an undeniable smile on your face.
“Ouch... okay okay I’m sorry!” He apologizes, rubbing the back of his head. “I just hate seeing you so sad.”
“I know ‘ru... thank you.” Toru lets out an acknowledging hum and you can feel the way his heart beat increases ever so slightly. He’s so warm- his fiery love practically oozing out of his being. You love him so much.
A few minutes later, Keiji manages to get the broken part of the key out of the lock and the three of you can finally go home. He’s always been so clever- and you’re reminded again, why you love him.
The three of you head inside...
You take a relaxing shower (since all three of you can’t fit in the small bathtub), then cuddle up together on your king sized bed, tubs of ice cream in hand and candles lit to set the mood. Your favorite comfort show is streaming from the television, both the loves of your life sandwiching you between them, and you realize just how fortunate you are.
You’ll take as many bad days as necessary- so long as you get to come home to this.
Maybe, the universe was fair to some after all.
Just maybe- you could consider yourself one of the lucky ones.
I hope this was what you were looking for and more! It’s a little on the shorter side but I’m pretty proud of how it turned out!

A map to his heart
Pairing : Edward x MC (Robin Sparrow)
Words count : 1,6k ~
Warnings : language I guess?
Author's note : I'm not even going to apologise for writing this. I had to post it because if I stare at it one more moment I'll throw it away.
Also I'm tagging the amazing @mvalentine
Anyway have fun!
"Astonishing..." Edward mumbled, staring goofily at Robin's rosy face.
"What?"
It was late in the afternoon, both of them working on deck in the radiant heat of summer, the blinding light of the sun reflecting on their eyes. Edward stood in front of the puzzled woman, his hand reaching towards her reddened cheek. His eyes were wide open, his mouth gapping.
He brushed her soft skin with his thumb, and she gasped at the contact. His hands were rough, an inevitable consequence of spending half of his life working in a ship. The ropes and boats's wheels knew no mercy. Yet she loved they way they felt against her skin. His touch was so delicate.
She gazed at him, not daring to move, wondering what got into him so suddenly. He wasn't a man to publicly display his affection anyway. He was more of the reserved type, and she respected him deeply for that. Just like she respected the distance he always tried to put between them.
Not that she didn't crave his touch, not that he didn't have his ropes tied around her heart ever since she met him. She almost loved him. A secret she'll never tell.
"Tis like the map of another world" He mumbled, slowly tracing his finger on her blushing cheeks.
"What are you talking about?" She breathed out, suddenly aware that their faces were barely inches away. She saw his curious eyes studying her carefully, and she felt the heat rising from her face, her heart beating like a battle drum.
They were so close. She could see the crinkles of his eyes as he smiled, the sweat dripping from his tan forehead from the many times he climbed up and down the rigging in the heat of the past hour. She subconsciously lowered her gaze to his parted lips.
He was a beautiful man indeed. Him and his stupid smile and his stupid stubble. He always seemed like he had the perfect amount of stubble at any day, like he was coming out of some idealistic romance novel. That was so cliché she almost rolled her eyes at the thought.
She lifted her eyes back up, drawing a sharp deep breath in.
"Your freckles, they're breathtaking" Edward smiled, carefully tucking her hair behind her ear to reveal more of the brownish small dots.
His confession left her speechless. He always kept surprising her when she expected it the least. She slowly reached her cheek with her trembling fingers, still mesmerised by the way he locked his eyes on her.
"Oh" She whispered "It's the sun, I'm not used to going so long without sunscreen"
"Sunscreen?" He tilted his head, narrowing his eyes. His hand moved forward, cupping her cheek as she lowered her hand away from it to fumble with with the shirt sleeve of her other arm.
"It's a lotion, sort of. It protects me from the sun" She explained "I used tons of it back home"
"Why would ye?" He questioned, and she scrunched her nose. To her, the answer seemed so obvious. Sometimes, she forgets that she didn't belong to this world. Not to this era. She often had to explain to Edward the use of the random things she wished she could've brought with her, her phone charger the most.
"So I wouldn't get sunburnt" She explained "And..."
She peered at him through her eyelashes, watching at he pursed his lips together into a fine line, furrowing his eyebrow as he stared into her eyes
"To stop..." Her thoughts were slowly escaping away from her foggy mind.
With no preceeding warning, she felt his strong arm wrapping around her waist. Her last two functioning brain cells kissed her goodbye as she placed her palms on his perfectly chiselled chest. She felt his his steady heartbeats as her fingers grazed the white fabric of button up he wore.
"My freckles..." She gulped hardly, continuing "from... Showing"
"Tis absurd" He shook his head, grinning "Why would you want to hide such a divinity? "
They stared back at each other for what seemed like an eternity. None of them adding another word. Both lost in the other's eyes. Stuck in the moment.
"Miss Sparrow" He mumbled, leaning closer to her. She felt his warm breaths against her skin, and she hesitatingly wrapped her arms around his neck, burring her slim fingers in his long hair.
"By the thunder, do ye even know how beautiful you are?" He whispered, and she slowly closed her eyes, her head gone hazy. She leaned in a little closer, their foreheads resting against each other. She gasped as his tender lips kissed the tip of her nose. Dear heavens, what was this man doing to her...
" You're more beautiful than the sight of an isle after a raging storm" He chuckled, brushing his lips against hers "More beautiful than the early morning light"
His arm tightned around her.
"Robin" He whispered, his raspy voice making her body shiver.
She stopped and opened her eyes to look at his. She could see a hint of fear mixed with excitement, and she squeezed her eyes shut again . She couldn't bare to see a hint of hesitation in his. She couldn't see regret. She couldn't look at him as he pushes away again. Not after he consumed her daydreams and late night thoughts. Maybe if she keeps her eyes closed–
"Aye cap'n" A voice interrupted
"Ye might need to come, Maggie is beating Ax's arse again"
She opened her eyes and and turned her head around abruptly.
There stood Henry, with a meat knife in his hand, looking at them blankly.
Edward cleared his throat awkwardly, releasing her from his grip and taking few steps back away.
"I– Thank you, Henry" The captain replied "I'll be there in a moment"
Henry turned around and walked away, cleaning his knife with a cloth and singing to himself some old pirate chantey as if cares about nothing in the world.
Robin sighed and turned away without looking back, hearing the footsteps of Edward walking away after a while.
She leaned against the railing and folded her arms over it, looking at the distant horizon, the sun already setting.
She frowned, tapping her fingers against the wood, but her frown was immediately replaced by a surprised gasp as she felt the familiar strong pair of arms wrapping around her, only after few moments after walking away. She smiled.
In one swift movement, he turned her to face him and scooped her up so she was sitting on the railing, his arms still wrapped around her waist, holding her securely.
She blinked. Her heart was racing, the adrenaline pumping in her veins. She turned her head around and looked down at the angry waves. Her mind raced. If he were to let her go, she knew she'd slip overboard, into the unknown, cruel, cold salty waters.
But he didn't. He wouldn't. And she knew it. Her breaths slowed down. She knew that the sky was blue. She knew that the earth was round, even if they'd accuse her of witchcraft if she said it out loud. And she knew that she could trust Edward with her life, any day.
Her fingers wrapped instinctively around the hem of his shirt, clinging to him tightly.
"Edward" She turned back to face him.
"Hello, my lady" He murmured.
She gazed at his sweet eyes, the changing colour of the evening sky reflecting on them.
"Weren't you supposed to check on–"
"Kiss me, Sparrow" He interrupted her, his voice deep and hoarse "Kiss me like there's no tomorrow"
"Why are you taking the risk, Edward" She mumbled his name, her gaze lingering on his lips, before dragging them back up to his eyes
"Screw them all" He growled "I'm tired, Robin. I've had my share of running. Running away from this. Running away from my feelings, from you. Enough! "
Her heart skipped a beat at his words, feeling his chest muscles tense up.
"By the thunder, if anyone dares to lay a finger on you, it'll be the last thing that filthy scum does before I rip his lungs off with my bare hands"
She shook her head "You're an unbelievable man, captain"
He raised an eyebrow, clenching his jaw "Are you doubting me?"
"Nay" She smiled "I like it when you get all agressive" and she leaned down, gently pecking his lips before pulling away to look at his now soft expressions
"It's cute"
"I'm a respectable pirate captain" He rolled his eyes "I blow men down, I plunder booty. You can't call me–" He was silenced by the feeling of her lips on top of his again.
He inhaled a sharp gasp, tugging her closely, a small sound escaping his throat. Her thoughts were clouded, the rush of sitting on the edge of the swaying ship making her even dizzier. She sighed, cupping his face and pouring all her longing for him in that kiss.
They pulled apart breathless. Both of their eyes were closed, their foreheads pressed together, her hair flowing with the evening winds.
She was the first to open her eyes after a while, only to find him grinning like an idiot.
"That's a lot for a bunch of freckles."
