Nothing like folks coming at me about my not being a "real pagan/witch" because I don't bother with the pseudoscience known as astrology. Correct me if I'm wrong, but for ages we thought the planets were gods, so that's why early physicians applied astrology to their medicine. Then we learned planets aren't gods, so now it's the gravitational pull or whatever that the planets have on people because of when and where they were born. There are still people who believe this. Gravity doesn't choose individuals. If the pull of Jupiter is doing anything to us, it's doing it to all of us, and has nothing to do with whatever constellation you were born under. Then there's the bit about there having been 13 signs rather than 12 in western astrology. One was omitted because of superstition or convenience, but I can't remember the details. Then, of course, the location of constellations has changed over time, and what was gemini 2k years ago is now taurus, but not because if we include the 13th sign it gets all kinds of messy.
Astrology is bullshit, mercury retrograde is nonsense, and whatever your sign is has less than nothing to do with your life.
It gets especially bad are the people who hard-core believe this shit. They believe it so hard they blame your sign for why you are rhe way you are. I've had to deal with pagans/witches who, rather than getting to know, will spend 10 minutes listening to me talk and ask me if I'm this or that sign because only those signs act or think like this. I had a nurse who told me I've got [insert medical condition] because I was born under [this sign] on a Friday. How tf did they get through training with all that in their head.
I wish people would stop using horoscopes and astrology to figure out who/what to blame for whatever fuckery they're dealing with/caused. It's exhausting repeatedly hear their noise.
I'll never forget when I got on somebody's nerves and they demanded to know if I was a Gemini, because they were convinced that Geminis were the demons ever. And lemme tell ya, this person was the sort who refused to do any self-reflection and consider that maybe they were wrong; instead, they just demonized anybody who didn't just treat them as this infallible deity (they did, in fact, believe they were an infallible deity).
Astrology really is one of those things that gives very mean and self-centered people a tool to divide people into "good" and "bad" categories, as well as define precisely what kind of "bad" person they are. It's unfortunately one of our worse impulses as human beings, and many people will exploit any framework that seems to justify it. (The ones who like to reckon themselves as scientific intellectuals tend to reach for eugenics and pop psychology.)
Also you're not like, not really wrong about the history of astrology or anything, but there's a ton of stuff you're definitely missing here, which IMO is absolutely fascinating. Like the fact that astrology as most of us know it was invented in Babylon, where it reflected Babylonian seasons and seasonal mythology. And the whole stellar ray theory, and how people thought that metals were formed deep in the earth when certain places were exposed to certain stellar rays. TBH, astrology has a ton of interesting history and lore attached to it, so I'm just gonna suggest anybody who's interested watches ESOTERICA's videos on astrology, because yeah it's genuinely very fascinating.

I think I am almost done with the elden ring dlc. I just have the final legacy dungeon and whatever boss(es) await there, as well as what I'm pretty sure is the superboss? It's possible that those last few things will entirely change my entire view on the dlc, but whatevs. Tl;Dr I liked it
So like I said I haven't even completely gone through it once and like. I'm not a game dev. So I don't want to bloviate about difficulty or whatever, I'm sure on future playthroughs with different builds and doing things in a different order bosses that were easy will become hard and vice versa.
So I went graveyard plain, castle ensis, belarut, scadu altus, shadow keep, north finger ruins, the red flower zone I forget the name of, south finger ruins, manus metyr (oh god oh fuck), cerulean coast, the underground, the abyssal woods, then rauh. I tried to explore any sites of interest in each overworld zone before moving on to the next, including all the random buildings and mini dungeons and stuff. Because of the specific order I did stuff in, the putrescence knight, midra, and romina were all pretty easy. Messmer was satisfyingly difficult though, which is good since he was like the main boy in all the marketing.
Visually the dlc is beautiful. All the areas felt very distinctive and unique; specimen storage, belarut, and the five rooms I've seen in enir-ilim all really stood out, and I think they'll be remembered as iconic. I've poked my head in the jagged peak, and it feels appropriately apocalyptic. The finger ruins and Manus Metyr as well, just. What the fuck.
I know there was discourse about elden rings story and narrative like a year ago, but I like the dlcs story so far. Again, I haven't finished it, and I'm going out of my way to talk to all the NPCs I can and read all the item descriptions, so grain of salt and all that. I literally said out loud "What the- oh shit. Oh shit." When I got the ominous message that a great rune had been broken and a charm had been lifted. I get the feeling that might not be everyone's experience though, and that might become one of those kind of annoying memes about how cryptic and confusing everything is. Whatever, I thought it was cool.
I'm a certified Lore Enjoyer, but I'm not going to get into that here cause I a, haven't finished the game yet, b, am still processing everything. But allegedly, stuff in the dlc was part of like the initial lore bible grrm made, but specifically excluded from the main game (source dude just trust me), so going in people expected the dlc to fill in gaps in our understanding. Never in a million years would I have guessed everything going on with Manus Metyr, but boy howdy, it's sure filling in gaps.
This is where I get into some minor quibbles. I wish the overworld areas were a bit smaller and the legacy dungeons a bit bigger. Castle ensis, midra manor, and the underground all felt over before they really started; it didn't help that those last two had like 5 sites of grace each. The red flower zone I forget the name of and the cerulean coast both felt just so empty. I wish there was just like one more ruin or church or fort or something in there.
I've liked all the enemies and bosses, there are just some things I wish I could change. Like, everyone already talks about how the base game reuses bosses, especially in the minor dungeons, so did they really need to put the same knight boss* in the only two catacomb dungeons? Did they really need to make the first boss of the shadow keep, one of the largest legacy dungeons that branches into like 4 new areas, another random hippo** that's just in a courtyard for no reason?
*ok technically one of them uses twin axes and the other has a halberd but like. Come on.
**because of the order I did things in I faced that hippo before any of the random overworld ones, so I guess a better comparison would be the Capra and Taurus demons in izalith, which is. Also not great.
I know I complained about people complaining about how cryptic the game is, but I wish there was a little bit more guidance about what to do after Messmer. Like, the dlc rhymes with the base game. You need access to this area, but it's blocked by thorns. You need kindling, so go kill this fire guy to get it. There's a suspiciously fire-giants-forge shaped bowl over here at the base of the world tree, so we go there and burn the world tree, right? No, actually, you need to go to this region to the west to burn the plant there. Up until that point, I thought the scadutree was what was blocking the way. The item description for messmers kindling does say where to go, and it was the only zone I hadn't gone to yet, but still.
Speaking of Rauh, with how green everything was, I thought the boss would be one of the giant crucible beasts in the specimen storage. Romina and the prawns and scarlet rot and everything kind of felt out of nowhere? I wish she got a cutscene with her entering the arena or something, just to make it feel less random. She has a cool design though.
This is less of a problem and more a bit funny and confusing, but after burning the sealing plant you get teleported to enir-ilim? Like it's the same glow effect from when you kill the third lord of cinder in ds3. And like, there's no reason for the game to do that? Theres a whole ass entrance after the dancing lion that's open now, that's how I knew I needed to kill messmer in the first place. You can go back and go through that entrance, by the way, and it's like 15 feet away from where you get teleported to? Just. Very strange.
I want to end by gushing about the abyssal woods. Just, my god. The dark muddy greens and browns with the frenzy yellow cracks and veins, the disturbing ambient background track, Torrent immediately fucking dying, the message that he's too scared when you try to summon him, the dev messages on the ground, the realization once you see the burning yellow eyes on the nearby goats... It's a hell of a first impression.
The stealth sections around the winter lanterns are frightening, but short and easy enough to not be annoying. And then your first glimpse of the manor is a dark silhouette against the fog, and a dozen neatly lined up, beheaded, praying corpses. The very first room in the manor itself has a ghost directly across from you; every other ghost like this is just exposition, like you're hearing parts of a conversation from long ago. This guy is looking straight ahead and addresses you directly. It breaks the rules you didn't even realize existed, it's so good.
Oh shit right I should talk about like the gameplay and stuff. Uh I haven't really touched most of the new weapons and spells and everything cause I went in on a melee character focused on guard counters, and i immediately found a big ass hammer that causes a holy explosion when you. Guard counter. So it's my new best friend now basically.
All in all, the dlc is very incredible, I'm having a blast, and I am so glad I went in blind.

Hi Scorp! I just have to tell you I've been on this site for a while and I'm so glad to come across someone's page that breaks astrology down so succinctly and in a fun and personal way. I wish more people we like you- you're a gem! I'd like to get started too and want to know in your opinion what the signs of a good astrologer are and how one can become one? Your help is as always so appreciated! I really admire you!
Thank you, love- Good Question
Signs of A Good Astrologer
1. They Understand Multiple Systems
Now, not every astrologer will use them. Some are more comfortable with Vedic, others Placidus, some Quadrant or Draconic and a few Horary or Equal House. Regardless, they’ll be able to entertain all kinds even if they subscribe to another/one in particular.
2. They Can Read A Natal Wheel
I know this may sound like a given but some folks who get into astrology just use a calculator or generator to pull up aspects and chart patterns. They won’t actually look at the wheel and see where planets land or how to work their way around the circle. They may not understand the red lines from the green or blue. It’s important to not only rely on a calculator but understand the wheel as a blueprint. You can catch many things and see many aspect patters [T-Squares, Grand Trines Yods, etc] with the naked eye. The natal wheel is the birth chart in its raw form. Anyone studying anything must begin with the basics. The wheel, fresh-faced is the best place to start. From there, the 101′s of Astrology become easier to grasp
3. They Do Not Rely On One  App Alone
The sign of any good astrologer [or anyone studying anything] is citing multiple sources and cross-referencing them. As we all know, technology, though an excellent modern tool is imperfect. It too can have glitches and miscalculations. For that reason, it’s important as an astrologer to at least have 2 to 3 calculators [including their own brain and hands] to break things down. This gives a better-rounded view of how charts work and can even introduce you to aspects you didn’t realize existed [parallels, contraparallels, etc]. Cafe Astrology is good for beginners but does not show you minor aspects [Quincunxes, sesquiquadrates, noviles or bi-quintiles] or chart patters like Astro.com does. Co-Star is good for millennials who are just starting and does a fantastic job of giving you a daily horoscope as well, but can really f-things up house-wise. [They are based out of NY and I rejected a job offer from them because of it.] Alabe.com is Ok but they make you input longitude and latitude which not everyone has access to and sometimes it just won’t take. Still, without cross-referencing you’d never know. Cast your net wide so you can get the best return.
4. They Understand Natal, Synastry, and Composite
While it’s important to understand how someone’s natal chart functions and relates to them as a person, or placements in general, we as Human Beings are social creatures. We operate in tribal, familial and unit systems. As a result, it’s important to know how people operate with each other as well as individually. A good astrologer will understand Synastry [aspects/energy between people] and Composite [midpoint and Davison, which is the Astrology of the relationship itself] in addition to Natal patterns.
5. They Have a Good Grasp of History
Mercury, Mars, Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto? All names of Ancient God’s. When we understand the origins of these Planetary names, we can have a good grasp as to why they’re attributed to said planets/points. Modern planets are named after Roman Gods who all have ties to ancient Greece/India as well. When you understand the myths and stories you’ll already have a head start on why Venus is named after Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love, since Venus rules love and what we appreciate. Mars [Aries] is the planet of war, sexual drive and action as is the Hellenistic/Roman God. Lilith is Adam’s first wife in Hebrew tradition and her hypothetical point in astrology embodies her traits. Make sense? Even the asteroids are named after minor gods and characters in the classics. Studying up on these can really help with understanding the planets as a whole.
6. They are Patient
Let’s face it, understanding astrology is not something that comes over night. It is also quite difficult to find in-depth classes for the study. Because of this, it is important for you or any astrologer for that matter to take their time. Don’t rush. Some can spend a lifetime studying and never know all there is to know. I myself learn new things everyday that I share with you all on here. Take your time. Be patient. Astrology is deeply metaphorical, philosophical as well as mathematical. Some may have a stronger grasp with one than another [as a former humanities major, I personally detest math but I’ll be damned if that makes me give up- I keep trying]. A good astrologer will give themselves and others grace to really grasp the concepts they are learning and know that it is not a 24 our crash course.
Red Flags
With the good comes the bad/things many can work on to improve. The sign of an astrologer not living up to their full potential are:
1. Astrologers That Only Say Good Things About Your Sign
Let’s face it, astrology is not a study for those who like to sugar coat. The reality of life is that everything has a dark and light side. Just like every zodiac sign has positive and shadow traits. [Though I am a Scorpio and very loyal to my sign and people, I feel it necessary if I am to help others, to make them understand the under-developed traits of Plutonians/Martians in general.] You gotta keep it real. It is important to be honest. That is the only way to get to your sign’s final form. To understand what traits you/your sister signs/cousins are prone to.
2. Astrologers That Point Out Troublesome Placements Without Telling You How to Remedy Them
Big No-No. Astrology is about activism and altruism. It, by nature, is a study quite akin to Psychology. One of my heroes, Liz Greene actually based many of her astrological studies off Jungian psychology. And what is astrology if not psychology with a cosmic twist? ;). A good therapist will isolate your issues but the point in hiring them is for them to aid you in fixing the issues you’re struggling with, no? Same with a good astrologer. They’ll tell you when something is an issue, yes, but they will also give tips and pointers on how to handle the energy or steps to reconciling the energy within your self and others. If someone is simply pointing out that you’re a Capricorn with a Taurus moon and therefore, have pessimistic tendencies, but don’t tell you how to balance that, then they are not doing the best job they can for you.
3. Astrologers That Demonize a Single Sign or Placement
Or astrologers who are inherently judgmental about your tendencies [many Boomers unfortunately I’ve seen have a habit with this *sigh*]. This is also a No-No. Look, we are all entitled to our own opinion and there is dark and light in each astrological placement. But someone who says “all Pisceans are whiny-crybabies”, “all Virgos are obsessive compulsive critics” or “All Leos are egotistical cheaters” is not someone you want to take very seriously, lol. Sounds like these people got hurt by one of the above and as a result, have a war on everyone with these placements. By proxy, they use astrology to let out their frustrations which is a very twisted way to go about things. We all vibe with one sign or placement more than another of course, but even your fav may have a Mars placement in a sign you though you hated. It is best to be impartial and look at ALL aspects and ALL signs with fairness. The point of astrology is to understand. Once you understand someone or something it’s quite hard to be judgmental [if you’re really going about it with an open-mind]. Just like traveling or spending time with others different from you makes it impossible to be a racist or a bigot. Why? Because you took the time to really connect.
Anyone can become an astrologer with the right discipline and a good amount of grit and curiosity. I think you have the right attitude on how to go about it ;). Here are a few helpful resources to get you started:

(1/2) Hello! Could I please have an OM/MysMess matchup? I am a cis hetero girl with pale skin, dark brown hair down to below my shoulders and blue eyes. I'm 170 cm tall and kinda chubby. I like anime (JJBA is a recent obsession of mine...), sketching, learning interesting stuff, food, and my family. I also briefly enjoyed being in a robotics club in high school. As for dislikes, I can't think much of anything. I've also never been in a relationship, so don't know what I'd be like in one.
(2/3)*Other people have described me as easy to talk to. I don't know if that's necessarily true, I act pretty different at home from when I am with other people, more energetically. I'd like to think I'd be pretty versatile when it comes to dates, I don't mind the place and time as long as we have fun. Clubs are kind of a no go mostly though... I don't really like them. Too exhausting.
(3/3)As for hobbies, I like drawing mainly, but acting wuth a local amateur team in my town is fun too. I also take part in helping organise a Christmas village in my town, made by volunteers, every year. I don't know if this helps but I'm a Taurus Hufflepuff INFP.
Hi @semiotakume ~ I match you with Leviathan!
Tumblr media
Imagine your afternoons indulging yourself in anime marathons alongside this demon. Just perfect.
He loves to look at your previous sketches, and yes, he will obviously ask you to draw Ruri-chan. He’ll even commission it if you’re on the fence about drawing her. Art of his favourite 2d girl by his favourite 3d girl is the ultimate dream for him.
He’s not a club person either, so don’t worry about it. If you’re not in his room, he’ll drag you to conventions or to merch stores to see if Levi’s order has finally arrived.
He will spoil you with any figurines or manga you may want from the store. You’re looking too long at an item and bam, he’s got his wallet out.
Most of his brothers tease him because he talks non-stop about things they don’t really care about. He got used to it, but you’re so easy to talk to and so willing to hear him out while actually being interested in what he says--- you know his demon heart is beating faster by the second.
He hasn’t dated anyone either (no, Levi, 2d doesn’t count) so he’ll be ecstatic to discover all his firsts with you. Be patient with him and he’ll be patient with you.
And regarding Mysme, I match you with Saeran!
Tumblr media
I had been waiting so much for a Saeran matchup you have no idea but this is cute
Watching you draw gives him serotonin for days. He doesn’t know why, it’s like a weird kind of asmr, but watching your face as you create art and the noises you make while doing that, sends him to the roof.
The first Christmas you spent together, you encouraged him to join you and help with the Christmas village. He was a lot insecure a first and not really in the mood for Christmas (you know his Christmases as a child weren’t the best), but that experience changed him. He really enjoyed being able to be in a project that made so many kids smile. Maybe he hadn’t been able to enjoy it as a kid, but it warmed his heart to see what he could do for others. Also, the way you talked with the little kids made his heart flutter.
He will never admit to it, though.
He’s been through hell and doesn’t really like talking to it to people other than his therapist and you. You were so patient and willing to hear him out that he knew you were a safe space for him and now he feels really good to confide in you.
Since neither of you like going to the club, most of your dates are spent at his garden. Since he and Saeyoung moved into another house after everything that happened, he built a beautiful garden on the backyard. You love going there with him and have a picnic together, or lie on the grass at night and look at the stars.

Hiya! Congrats on 800 followers! I was wondering if I could please get a twst match up?
Feel free to call me Lizzie, my big three are Taurus Sun, Libra Moon and Pisces Rising, and my mbti is INFJ.
I'm 5'4, wear glasses bc I'm nearsighted asf, have thick light brown hair that reaches halfway down my back, have blue eyes and am on the bigger side in terms of figure. I am trying to be a bit more secure about my appearance, though I do sometimes get a tad bit insecure about my looks.
My style ranges from throwing on a tee and some comfy pants and sneakers and calling it a day to basically looking like a little doll with not much room for in between lmao. I do have a tendency to color coordinate whatever I wear tho.
In terms of my personality, I'm definitely soft-spoken, initially very shy until I open up, yet caring of those I love. I don't really do much talking unless one of my interests happens to come up in conversation, then I'll gladly talk someone's ear off about it lol
I try to avoid confrontation like the plague and thus tend to be a people pleaser and the sort of "peacemaker" type of friend. I'm not a very good liar, and I've been told that I'm easy to read. I'm also very much easily flustered and apparently fun to tease considering my reactions to it.
To some, I come across as innocent to the point where people think I'm younger than I really am or that I don't cuss, but once I get comfortable enough with someone I can prove them wrong real quick. There are definitely times when my maturity level matches that of a 12 year old boy, despite constantly having to be the mature friend in my group.
A lot of my personality is because of a list of mental health issues including autism, ADHD, anxiety and depression that make social cues difficult for me to follow.
Now for interests! I really love the performing arts, psychology, anime, cats, and poetry. Lately I've also been gaining interest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, sewing/costume design, Norse and Greek Mythology, demons and witchcraft. My humor consists mostly of dark jokes and the shittiest puns imaginable.
Holy smokes this is long as hell, but I hope this is enough info for you. Take as much time as you need with it and be sure to drink some water, take your meds (if you take any), and eat something 💕
I look forward to see what you can come up with! :)
You are paired with...
IDIA!!!
Tumblr media
He doesn't make you insecure in fact, actually HE feels insecure next to you.
-He never thought he could get a partner.
-Help you learn about Greek mythology.

I spoke too soon.
Should've known better.
Or left well enough alone.
Smh.
I went from being unburdened to being ripped in two.
-
I just want to mark today on the history of me
As the most hurtful, cold, cruel shit I've ever been through in my life happening
All while I'm literally bleeding out from Cancer.
-
That really just happened.
-
My life has turned into something from fucking ancient mythology
Sigh
Mercury is in Taurus right now
And my Chiron is in Taurus
And yeah
I'm feeling it.
-
I'm just ready to die already
I don't want to go through this anymore
If only death was the end
But I'm just fucked
And he is the demon sent to fuck me
-
I wish I could just pay back my karma and make it stop
I can't imagine what my soul could possibly be capable of to justify all of this
-
I just wanna surrender and throw up my white flag
Why can't I just say mercy?
-
I don't want to do this anymore
I can't take this much emotional pain in one lifetime
-
I wish I could just make it stop
I want to stop existing so much
I don't even care about the possibility of a good life anymore
That's never going to happen
-
I just want this shit to end
