#I've broken my friend. we've seen so many very good movies that he's expecting deep metaphors in everything now#like. Jennifer's Body is good but it's not quite THAT deep in the way that Parasite was. like. very good#very good but not quite as immediately clearly secretly impactful to a regular-ass dude because of the way the messaging is directed#like. personally I like it but it does not speak to me the way it does to a lot of other people I've known.#as someone who has always vibed with the masculine even though I'm trans Jennifer's Body does not feel like it was written for me.#likes guys. not feminine. Definitely not the target audience for this movie.#if you're interested you should watch the Yhara Zayd video talking about Jennifer's Body tho. she talks about Carrie too.#general girlhood and the monstrous feminine stuff and it's really really neat and I learned a lot
