#being in Charleston feels so surreal#felt so alienated while i was growing up here and only more so now having moved away for so many years#and yet. it still feels so foundational#especially the landscapes and nature#especially the birds#especially the chilly nighttime air under a full moon with gusting wind carrying wafte of campfires#it feels like home but never truly#I've been postponing another identity crisis for awhile now and i think it's about to be crashing in on me sooner than later lol
