i tried to make the whole death thing a little less repetitive and kind of brush over it until it got worse and worse and more serious and the whole concept was cheaply influenced by a movie where the two love interests know that they’re dying bc of their sickness but then i added a set, concrete date for dani and yn to die LOL idk lowk my creative juices were being juiced with this one… i was THINKING … and yeah i tried to fit in as many details and things that you’d have to remember form the beginning or middle idk i just rly like how i structured this one (the pacing is stilll iffy to me but wtv( bc i tried to have things tie together well and whatnot

makeout scene had me giggling and blushing while reading it was inspired by the anon who sent a makeout ask like smth ab “imagine making out w dani for the first time” and originally it wasn’t going to be there but i think it added to their bond and tension and lalalala yeah

no i couldn’t make them.die without knowing they’re meant to be but i had to try to figure out how to make the reveal angsty and i was like might as well have them figure out before they die and SOEAKJNG OF WHICH it took me a good amount of time while at work and making drinks to think of a way for them to die idk this story was so spontaneous and changed a lotLOL

and yes the whole beach thing was lowk inspired by summer strike bc i like the small town environment and how cute the beach is i haven’t even finished the drama im on ep like eight and haven’t watched since a few months ago LOL but i think the beach is just so calming and small towns r just sooo relaxing and nice compared tot he city (that being said i will always be a city girl…) idk beach city energy is just so wonderful and fits dani bc she grew up in newcastle and her whole vlog kinda gave me ideas for the world building and whatnot

Yeah, kind of insane that the Adoption AU started with a 3am Taco Bell run.

I do actually have a few one shots already written for this AU! There's the Taco Bell story, the time Sky got arrested, the time Twilight got shot, a funny story I wrote based on real events with Twi, Wars and Wind trying to cook, and something based on that one picture of the boys playing the floor is lava by cherypaii(? I think that's the url?). And I have a half finished fic about Lullaby reacting to Time's increase in kids I call "Lullaby reacts to Time's Batman-Level Adoption Bullshit", and a half finished fic introducing Wild's twin. So if anyone is interested in reading some of the fun bits for the AU, since I'm still writing for the plot part (although this conversation has given me inspiration and motivation to write the bit where they find Twi after he was kidnapped, so,) then I'd be happy to post them.

And since you mentioned hoping more info would magically appear, consider this magic.

Midna is a mafia princess, and her family immigrated to get away from it. Zant is her cousin, and his parents followed to make sure Midna's parents didn't embarrass the family. She briefly had to move away after the incident where Twi got shot, but she's back before the plot happens.

Twi and Time both have their face markings in this AU. Time had his tattooed on after the FD incident as a reminder of what he's capable of and what he's lost (considering this plot beat's connection to his family and the Order), for better or worse. Twilight was gifted his by Midna after he fought Zant to try and protect her and Dusk from Zant. The markings are traditional Twili tattoos, painted on with some kind of something that acts as a mix of tattoing and henna, and have to be earned. Twilight's represent courage, boldness and sacrifice.

Warriors has a whole plot I've done nothing with involving Cia being, well, creepy as all get out. Basically I read somewhere that a victim of abuse is more likely to end up in other abusive relationships when looking at how Warriors' bio parents being abusive would effect him and then I remembered Cia and decided to be mean to him.

The underground hospital that took care of Wild after the wreck is called the Shrine of Resurrection because I thought that was a cool way to connect that.

I had this stupid idea once that Midna writes purposefully terrible fanfic and a few people suspected she wrote 'My Immortal' for a while, and when she comes back everyone is like "The Chaos Corner guy's brother is dating the lady who wrote My Immortal???" and Midna decides to set the record straight by doing a small livestream on like, Instagram or something where she explains she's actually dating Dusk. She's reapplying Twi's markings as she says this, and is basically in his lap. Twilight spends the whole thing looking like he wants the floor to swallow him.

Rottla is informed by a therapist that she should try and do something since her kids don't feel safe (which, considering Time got stabbed in their living room, not feeling safe is understandable), and decides the best way to fix this is to teach them how to fight. Time and Lullaby are both black belts in several martial arts and can use most weapons well as a result. To Rottla's credit, this does actually work.

The sorority Warriors befriends is made up of the fairies I saved in his game. Because I love those fairies. They're my favorite part of his game. Also, Proxi is here.

Navi lives! She's rescued by the Order, like how the rest of Deku's kids were. She plays the role of a Great Fairy for the order. Her fairies are actually Warriors' sorority. And Tatl, actually.

Saria is a strong contender to become leader of the Order eventually.

Majora is here and I can't tell based on my outline if I have Time kill Majora or not. So, Time potentially kills a man.

Wind has a boat with an old radio connected to a lighthouse where an old man lives. This old man is Daphnese Nohanssen, but Wind always calls him Red. They talk a lot, and Daphnese is glad he has someone who will talk to him because he is very lonely.

Wild has a motorbike (Master Cycle) that it is honestly a miracle he hasn't wrecked yet. He breaks himself but never the bike. Wars has an older car that he's put some elbow grease in and you'd never know it wasn't new. Twilight has a beat up old pickup truck everyone is just waiting to die, but it hasn't yet. This is impressive, considering Twi does drag racing.

Also, Warriors has a tendency to get in fist fights, and between them and Legend (who is never arrested for the same thing twice), Time happens to be on a first name basis with most of the police in the city. The chief has his number on speed dial for when he needs to go pick up a kid.

Wild's friends are all alive and they love him. Flora is laser focused on helping him with his memory issues. And feeding him weird things. For science.

Wild's twin, Knight, is mute. He speaks in sign. He's also a bit blindsided by how chaotic the house is, but he fits in very well. They buy a roomba that Knight tapes a knife to and blames Wild.

At some point I'll write the fic where someone modifies a nerf gun and things escalate until Time shows up with one of those machine gun nerf guns hooked up to a car battery (a modification he did with help from Sheik and Ruto). Who needs depth perception who you can shoot 60 darts per second? It's chaos and when Malon gets back from a trip she takes this week she finds the house in disarray and a hockey puck in the wall. Clean up takes three days, and they are still finding nerf darts in weird places.

This is off the top of my head. I am certain I am missing something.

for those who are still curious of the answer but have no idea, here's the recap:

sharks and sugar (SAS): kwami swap + reverse crush, with lady noire and mister bug, (and viperion! who i've never written in yet but also know he's a part of the crew)

demon lovin (DL): demon au with demon adrien, fallen angel luka, succubus marinette

fire lily petals (FLP): demon+witch AU with demon chat noir, witch marinette, naga luka

okay? yeah? okay?

okay alright okay. just stick with me. hold on. hold my hand on this one, i have so many opinions about it that i need to condense this and make it look good-- i've never shared this idea because it would get extremely specific and the venn diagram of the people who have read all three is like. ten people at most. i'm overshooting it, probably. hi. welcome. (and, god, if i included the vipermouse au in here the venn diagram would be even smaller) but anyway. hi. we continue.

side tangent, but i've always had the idea of DL and SAS crew meeting each other first, and then FLP. like, maybe SAS follow an akuma into a world that's entirely the same except, you know, adrien's not plastered all over paris billboards, and marinette's parents don't recognize her at all, and luka actually gets to run around and do stuff without his mom telling him to come pick him up from jail all the time.

after the whole "nice to meet you, i'm you!" phase, and everyone's settled in while they're still trying to find a way to go back home, SAS marinette and adrien decide to go on a date to the aquarium, knowing that they won't be interrupted by any more akumas, or stopped by random fans. they have so much fun.

back on track!

piggybacking off of this, sas marinette and DL marinette instantly become sisters to one another, not exactly twins because they don't look the exact same. definitely older and little sister (which means that when they fight, they fight like siblings, too.)

sas marinette is routinely over impulsive, the epitome of a cat following a ball of string with no other thoughts in her head, and DL marinette loves it even though she worries about it all the time.

(also, DL marinette is taller. DL adrien makes fun of that fact "huh, would you look at that? i didn't know they made you in smaller sizes!" to which DL marinette finds a way to get back at him somehow later.)

DL marinette loves how absolutely smooth-brained sas marinette gets when she's excited. sas marinette loves how kind and caring she is, because it's the first time ever she's had a family(?) member that didn't expect a billion things from her at the same time-- they both enjoy staying next to someone who understands what it's like to wince at every large noise.

sas marinette makes them crepes for breakfast one day because of insomnia. DL marinette cries the whole time while eating, so happy to find someone so sweet and kind and No Thoughts Just Friendly.

and a brief note on the other boys: DL luka and sas luka look nothing the same. sort of. there's that bit of resemblence, but they're definitely not as similar as the marinettes are. either way, their tattoos are in different places. sas luka has lip piercings. DL luka is much taller and bigger. they get along just well, too.

meanwhile, DL adrien and sas adrien are identical. identical. it's impossible to tell the difference between the two when they're sitting down, because they're sitting at the same height. DL adrien is taller. but they look exactly the same, down to the hair part. sas adrien doesn't have fangs, though. DL adrien helps sas adrien with physics homework. he's always so thankful.

now onto flp!!

the thought i had was that maybe instead of being sent back to their original dimension, everyone gets sent to flp instead. sas marinette loves the quietness of the forest, finally better for her sensitivities. she all but slams into chat noir, who was losing his mind at smelling two other marinettes-- she freaks out when she comes across an adrien who is definitely not an adrien anymore.

DL marinette is interested. of course she is. flp marinette is instantly worried about their choice of clothes, and how they're showing too much skin-- DL marinette would probably make something with her magic for anyone who isn't dressed appropriately for the new dimension. cue both marinettes nerding out over magic.

side note: both lukas find flp luka... weird. scary, sort of. aside from the whole "no-legs" situation, he's just basically a monster. so is chat noir, too, and they're kind of a little apprehensive about it. until chat does something just as stupid as sas marinette, of course, completely smooth-brained. DL marinette loves flp luka without even blinking, while DL adrien is trying really hard to not join her in simping over him. he's gorgeous.

meanwhile, chat noir hates DL adrien. like, completely. two demon princes, son of the king, up on earth and met a marinette that does magic and a monster of a luka, with very specific opinions about their privledge. also, both hate gabriel. i want them to be so closely compatible as possible that it bothers chat noir to death. sas adrien has absolutely no opinion on chat noir except he's terrifying, and is constantly wondering why his dad in both universes seems to be such a piece of shit.

flp marinette knows how to handle a smooth-brained kitty, so she doesn't mind it when sas marinette is pawing through her books-- in fact, sas marinette actually helps out a lot. sas marinette collects plants, so when flp marinette needs stuff for spells from the forest, sas marinette is the first one out the door with the ingredients list, all written in scientific names, tearing through the forest looking for it. someone always has to join her, just to make sure she doesn't get distracted and go walking off to the nearest thing that interests her, though.

flp marinette blushes every single time she sees DL marinette cuddling into both DL luka and DL adrien-- she can't wrap her head around having both. that's... is that allowed? surely it isn't!!!
