I have been planting flowers everywhere in my yard lately and it is making me so happy. I've always wanted to grow herbs and food, because I love eating from the garden. But I really undervalued how much joy flowers can bring. I keep a jar full at our little front gate, where I can see it out our front door while I am in bed and working. Over the weekend I even saw a hummingbird drinking from one of the large crimson zinnias I placed in the jar that morning! Majestic. Now, I just need a bird bath. :)
