apart from anything else, it's amazing to me how loving a person completely and utterly transforms them. they are never just some person; they become your person, you can't look at them without seeing it.

#this brought to you by catching a glimpse of myself in the mirror as I cleaned the tub #and realizing that....I look like my mother.#I'm sweaty and gross; I've been cleaning since I logged off my work computer #but I look like my mother when she was cleaning things.#I simply didn't notice because it was my mother cleaning things and I loved her.#whether she was objectively attractive in that moment was immaterial. she was my mother. I loved her.#celestial emporium of benevolent knowledge
