i am at the looking-at-dolls-as-self-soothing part of the night. i definitely wanna beef up my bratz collection since unboxing my alwayz bratz yasmin was just like... oh... oh man... and... and i didn't think it'd be like that for me man i didn't think i had as much nostalgia for bratz as i actually do not just buy owning some but by touching them and playing w their clothes and their hair.

and one of my issues of course is that i'm a redhead and as a redhead my Default Lookalike Doll is meygan (not that having a doll that looks like you is the most important part of bratz, but it is so much of the fun right? the fact that there's a character out there for just about everyone?). and i like meygan as a character well enough, that's not the issue. but of the meygan dolls that have been reproduced, there's none of them that are like, hardcore needs for me except for sweetheart meygan. and i did not buy sweetheart meygan in time. i was not really collecting at that point. that was like 2022. i had a few... na na na surprise dolls at that time. which is funny bc i have four of those that i got all either on clearance or w giftcards and i do really like them even though a lot of doll collectors thought they were kinda dumb, and they were. i just liked the gimmick of the fabric bodies and there were just enough dolls i thought were really cute that i kinda caved at one point. i also knew it was a brand i wouldn't go overboard with. anyway. we were talking about meygan...

sorry meygan back to you girl. i know original 2000s bratz that have not yet been reproduced at crazy expensive on the secondhand market and it's genuinely out of control. but sweet heart meygan, both the repro and the original, are selling for triple digits on mercari, ebay, what have you. that's just ridiculous. frankly. i'm not buying her at that. i don't even like her enough to hunt for her regularly, if that's how it's gonna be. there are plenty of more readily-available bratz dolls that are either regular retail price or clearancing online andin stores. did you guys know alwayz bratz jade is going for 15 bucks on amazon right now? that's crazy. the other always bratz dolls aren't going for that low if they're even marked down yet. that release wasn't even that long ago. anyway i'm thinking of getting jade from that line bc i know some ppl thought that alwayz jade was a let-down, but i thought she was cute. yasmin was my favorite from that line and that's why i got her but jade was my second fave there easily.

i also wanna get the kumi they reproduced sometime and maybe girls nite out cloe since i see she's still available. it's funny there aren't that many core girls i've wanted from the repros but if i go for any of the cloes, new or old, it's gotta be girls nite out. cloe isn't even usually my favorite character no offense blondes she's just kinda. she's just kinda cloe to me. idk i love her but i'm not gagged over her most of the time. these are still bratz standardz we're talking about here so obviously i love her.

there's nothing going on in the world right now other than my bratz dolls. and if someone we won't mention wins the election, i'm definitely going doll crazy. i'm gonna be buying dolls after this anyway, but i'm gonna justify spending an unusual, nearly-irresponsible amount of money. you know. bc i'm an adult and i can.

hey also and of all the lines they could've reproduced why is their most recent slumber party? why? why? when the poll posted by mga had tokyo a go go WINNING? bc tokyo a go go is the correct option? i mean the slumber party line is cute and i like the base dolls and the accessories especially the stuffed animals are cute. but. everyone knows the bratz audience these days is adult collectors. which adult collectors are losing their minds over dolls in pajamas and bathrobes? again they're CUTE. but why. also why did they reproduce bratz babyz when those things were nightmare fuel

~ Thrift Haul ~

I went on a thrift "spree" today aka. I spent like $10 at goodwill. and I went to some other stores. But I have a handful of toys i got recently and today to post :3

This group of stuffed animals isnt from today. In fact, they've been sitting in the car for a bit. The two stuffed animals I got today need some quarantined time (especially one of them needs to go in the wash); the snake here, too, needs a wash in particular.

The beaver we got back in Iowa while picking up my sibling, and i actually made them buy it for me lol (it was $1); I mainly wanted it because it is a large stuffed beaver and i thought that was funny. It has a bandana that say "Honey Creek hotel and conference center"; the paper tag says copyright 1988 and the fabric tag says produced 1992. I assume this guys been sitting on a shelf for 30 years rather than having been played with by a child.

The dragon and snake I found at a thrift store in West Virginia. I've simply not seen a snake plush at a thrift store (yes, ever); the dragon seems to be a nicely put together Walmart plush and the snake is Wildrepublic (they manufacture a lot of snake plushes). The snake is a bit dirty on the bottom, but I think a touch of spot cleaning or even a trip through the wash will help.

Now for something completely different: the dolls I found today. I see a fair amount of cheap plastic dolls at thrift stores, but this one spoke to me. Specifically, her oversized dress spoke to me because i immediately thought about how i could steal it for another project. Sorry little lady!

But honestly, she seems very cute. Blinking dolls like this sometimes look kind of eerie but she manages to be very cute, i like all her eyelashes and her thick eyebrows. NGL i would be down to try to put her head on a completely new body someday.

I also found a couple of very different dolls to go with her....

The redhaired one is a FailFix doll, and she came in a bag with a little NaNaNa doll.

The FailFix dolls are these ones who had an extra "ugly" facethat could pop off so they could have a makeover:

Mine doesnt have shoes or earrings and you can tell her previous owner didn't clean up or brush her hair. Perhaps they had a different Failfix doll who they took the accessories and stuff for. Her face paint, despite being the "non fail" version, is still kind of odd and her lips are a bit misprinted. Anyways, what I really like about her is the inset eyes so I'm going to redo the face. i got her partially because shes got both her hands- theyre prone to falling off with dolls like this...

I'm not sure if this NaNaNa is also supposed to be Tuesday Meow- her skin is tanner but her underwear says MeowMeowMeow and her motif seems to be cats. Her face looks oddly small next to my other NaNaNas, and not just because I gave my Tuesday a new face- it seems to be printed smaller? Anyways, i um. might steal her clothes and (very ratty) hair and then use this doll for... doll experiments. Sorry miss meow.

I have no particular aesthetic I seek out for dolls, and I get most of them from the thrift store, so I have a pretty... funny line-up at the moment:

I don't find Barbies particularly compelling- the only one I have is my childhood Dorothy for a reason. However, this thrift store had a whole shelf of like, late 80s-early 90s style barbies. I liked this one because she has nice articulation at the elbows and knees, plus she's got a cute face. They all had nice soft hair too. I definitely found these more interesting than a lot of the modern barbies I see.

As someone who loves B.A.P with all their heart and has supported all of the members for so long, it's hard not to be sad with the uncertain future about them not being a group together. I know they'll still keep in touch because the boys are a family and care about eachother so much so I'm not worried about that at all. I'll support what each of them end up doing from here on out, I'll just miss all six of them together on stage performing and smiling and it's hard. So this is a little late, but still. Moving on this is going to be a long rant...I apologize in advance. I like dwelled, stewed, and totally over contemplated everything that BAP means to me...and then I came up with "EVERYTHING" but alas couldn't write it down in words. I'm an ELI (English Language Instructor) teacher. And I drew a giant blank on what to say to them or about them. But then I saw others post and I said I was going to do this...And so I am. Here goes:

*Note : I battle depression (my dad passed in Nov 2015, he was my rock & my very best friend) every day of my 1ife.*

I have to make a list in my head, everyday of what I need to do and what I live for. They are one my reasons. Their music speaks to in a way that none really had before. My themes are "Unbreakable", I am "Young, Wild, and Free", the world will just have to "Excuse Me", because I am determined to" Be Happy."

To Yongguk: I adore you. You are a wonderful leader. Your gummy, beautiful smile, makes me so happy. You make me want to be a better person, & I consider you my role model. Please continue being your sweet, awesome self. And take a break sometimes, let your group take some of the stress you're not alone. 💖

This may be a stupid thing to worry about, but what will Jongup do at the end of the music show? He is an awkward cutie and I hope he will be able to talk to someone (maybe Knk will still be there and he can talk to them). But then again We don't really know how Jongup is in these situations as we just know whats shown to us. I'm just a typical BABY being worried lol. However, I am very happy that Jongup is performing as well as Daehyun and hopefully the others will showcase themselves aswell!

Seriously?! This is disgusting behavior and you don't have the right to even call yourself fans. This fandom is extremely toxic because of fans like these and it's absolutely revolting. There's nothing wrong with Jimin. He's a gorgeous human being that is true. But he's still a human being with needs just like everyone else. Just let him have a bit of fat. It's better than him being all skin and bone because that is not good for a person. It's his life and you are NOT in control of what he does with it. These types comments are the main reason so many idols have depression and eventually commit suicide. If you are one of these toxic fans then guess what? You are basically just projecting your own suffering on others because that's exactly what bullies are. A bully takes their circumstances and tries to either A. Blame it on others or B. Make everyone suffer with them. If that's the case the please, for the love of god, get help.

(Here's a definition of bullies if you don't believe me. I was a bully in school myself (before I was homeschooled in 2009) and I'm not proud of it. I regret acting like that because I never had any friends)

These so called "fans" are driving people away because nobody wants to get involved in a fandom whose fans with their disgustingly toxic behaviour have started multiple fanwars (I know it's not only ARMYS but the majority of fanwars are caused by them) and who knows what other revolting behavior. Even people who used to fully stan BTS are moving away to be more of a silent stan. I've drifted away from BTS because of how toxic this fandom is. Don't get me wrong, I still love them and always will but I'm not getting too involved with the fandom anymore. I've moved on to a more chill and relaxed fandom.

ARMYS here's a word of advice. Take a good look at the B.A.P. fandom. Take note how we generally try to avoid fanwvars or any trouble. Yes the group no longer exists but we still stan them because they are finally free of TS Entertainment (which is a terrible company) and because they deserve all the love they can get. We might get angry at some things but really that was mostly us getting mad at TS not treating them right. So take a leaf out of the BABYZ fandom and try to spread positivity and happiness. Don't tear each other down. Help each other. If someone is really toxic and doesn't want to change then block them. You don't need that kind of negativity in your life.

Wusssssssssssssup! BABY! It's been a while since I wrote like this.

As a matter of fact, I'm here to say thank you to all BABYz and overseas fans who came to B.A.P's first broadcast and showcase that we wrapped up successfully and safely.

I can still hear the sounds of the cheers, see the lightsticks at the showcase and hear the whistles in my ear. Maybe it's because I'm still so excited, but I'm losing sleep at night as if I'm in a happy dream. I can't believe all the love I'm receiving, and not just me, but all of the members are at a loss because of our happiness and gratitude.

In fact, the reason why B.A.P's first album doesn't have a thanks to is because we want to express our gratitude like this to our BABYz first. First, without our BABYz, neither me nor B.A.P couldn't have started with such a cool concept and couldn't have received so much love. As I very well know, all B.A.P members wanted to say thanks to our BABYz through B.A.P's fancafe first.

It's been a long and tough process, the time when B.A.P "hatched" had many twists and turns. During this time, the members laughed and supproted each other. Although they are very tender-hearted friends and members they've patientely endured and I'm very proud and grateful to be their leader as they take flight.

As we released B.A.P's first album and wrapped up our first broadcast and our first showcase for which we thoroughly prepared and felt a lot of pressure, I once again realized that time flies by and is that precious. I want to tell BABYz who've waited for and supported us that they've been a huge source of strength during this time. Even though I'm not good at expressing myself and I'm not very funny, but BABYz are always supporting me. I'll be more courageous. I'm trying.

Once again, I want to express my utmost gratitude to all BABYz who love and support B.A.P. Thank you. I won't forget to repay you.

Hm..my thought on this sweet giant?

I’m proud of him. He grew up so well. Not only did he grow tall but also respectful. Whenever I see how other Maknaes treat their older members I start to wonder what went wrong but then I look at our amazing Maknae who treats his older members with so much respect and cares so much. So what is different? I’m sure it has a lot to do with the fact that they helped him grow into the man he is now. Instead of right away filing the law suit they waited for him to come off age so he would not end up being stuck there alone. They care about him. Just like he truly cares about them and wishes for them to be happy. He knows what he can do with each members and what would be too much. Like with Yongguk he does not want him to leave his safe space but wants to spend time with him were he is happy which tells a lot. 

Of course he still acts childish at times but honestly who doesn’t have these moments? And while he does give us such weird and random videos every now and then it just shows us a little of his life while not on stage or in front of a camera. He opens up more and more. Which you can tell if you watch old videos. It goes for each member that did not as much share such things with us. 

He’s still growing and learning and we all should appreciate him showing us more of himself. Not necessarily in the way of him posting vids of him shirtless or such. He did do that but it’s not what he usually shares but it’s part of him. I love seeing him so open with us. Like with his instagram live(?) in the bathtub which was a rather dangerous move but heck who are we to tell him to stop. I’m sure he thought about it and just kind off ended up doing that. 

For me he’ll stay a baby. I’m only a few weeks older but I just can’t see him any differently. I mean a lot of Babyz feel the same even though he does try his hardest to change everyones mind about that. He’ll stay the cute blinking child from the beginning that grew up to be more confident but still mostly cute. He badly tries to show us he’s grown up but we know he did but it won’t stop us.

It’s amazing to see how much he improved over the years with his dancing, rapping and even singing. He has not only improved but also become more proud of it and wants to show us. He’s learning english, wrote a song in english in which he sang not rapped. I’m seriously so proud of him. Of B.A.P in general.

We don’t only need to thank B.A.P but clearly also his family for helping him grow into the amazing man he has become. Together with him and the other members we will all grow even more. There is so much ahead for Zelo. He can achieve so much. I’m looking forward to see what our giant maknae has in store for us.

(ZAINBAP here, tho I can't send asks from a sideblog..) I just wanna say I'm nodding my head furiously at your posts about Matrix era. I only became a baby during Carnival era, a few months after the boys' big comeback after the lawsuit, but after catching up with everything I still agree that nothing makes me feel as emotional as the Matrix comeback did. Part of me wished I'd been part of it, but I also dunno how I would've survived. Anyway, agreed. Wow.

Matrix means the most to us Babyz, even those that joined the fandom after ^^ It just has a big significance that they came back still as 6!I only became a Baby a few months before the Matrix comeback myself, and as much as it meant a lot to me as a Baby which I know it does for many others, I also have personal reasons?Their comeback helped ME through one of my hardest times. I honestly don’t know if I’d survive if it weren’t for them. Matrix inspired and helped me, which I hope it does for others as well. I mean their new comebacks are also amazing don’t get me wrong and they take up important things, but Matrix had and always will have a bigger impact imo.
