What if SQH were the one finding Liu Qingge in the caves?
Feat Sleep Token - The Summoning
As always no beta we die like Liu Qingge man hidhidf
----
He had no idea when everything had gone wrong, all he could feel was the burning of his meridians and the taste of copper on his lips. Like a fog, screams reached his ears, and in a blink of sanity he understood that it was him, his throat completely ruined as blood dripped down his chin and neck.
It had been days, it had been weeks, it had been-
He didn't know.
He felt his arm swing against monsters that weren't there, whispers crawling up his spine, their biting voices making it impossible for him to identify friend or foe. His vision swam again, darkness dancing at the corner of his eyes as if he were stuck in an endless shadow puppet theater, grasping smokes as he fought to get back to reality, to the caves.
Then the light came.
He wasn't conscious enough to recognize that he had been hallucinating for quite sometime now, but if the past month had taught anything is that he had no allies, he could trust no one. So when glittering white and yellow dashed past him, he did the only thing he could have possible do, rushing with his sword at ready, the light prickling his eyes after spending so long in the dark.
At the back of his mind he heard something that sounded like his name. Didn't feel right, however, as if it were coming from underwater, the burning in his chest unbearable as he did his best to slice his opponent, his strikes being met one by one. Another voice, one that sounded too much like what he would say if he were sane, kept screaming at him, reckless, useless, pitiful, disgraceful-
A hand slapped him with full force against his chest, the searing heat of his core freezing too fast for him to understand what had happened. He gasped, chocking blood as he tried to breathe, his wet heaving sending a wave of despair to his bones.
Another slap and this time his lungs filled with more air than blood, snapping him from his overwhelming fear, tears trickling down his cheeks as he finally saw the person in front of him for the first time.
Liu Qingge wasn't a pious man.
He believed in the Heavens as one believes that the moon and starts could influence destiny and fate, to say not at all.
Still, the first thing his mind could think of was that a High Spirit or a Godly creature was in front of him, their hair disheveled a halo, hands gentle as the morning dew helping him to lay down as his legs failed to hold him up.
But the most striking thing were his eyes, glowing gold like embers in the dark, guiding him as he slowly came back to his surroundings.
Liu Qingge squinted his eyes at the man, his foggy brain struggling to process who was in front of him. It was as if trying to put two images over each other and having them mismatch- the man in front of him shouldn't, couldn't be there, and most of it all the man in front of him wouldn't be capable to go toe to toe with him, qi deviation or not.
"-with me?" Shang Qinghua's voice sounded like rocks gritting against each other, as if the man had been screaming for a long time.
Liu Qingge blinked a couple of times, head tilting to the side as he tried to nod. Shang Qinghua hand went to the back of his neck, holding it in place as he pressed something against Liu Qingge's lips, the liquid so cold it felt as if he were drinking snow. He thought it was water, but the more it washed away the taste of blood, the more he could feel the sweetness of it, the coldness soothing his throat.
"There you go, Shidi, just a bit more," Shang Qinghua tilted the leather canteen slowly, giving time for him to swallow before pouring a bit more on his mouth until he turned his face away.
Heaviness took over his limbs, a different type of fogginess started to cling to his senses, sleep making everything soft around the edges, including his sore bones and muscles. He tried to speak, to ask what was happening, but Shang Qinghua just scratched his scalp with a soft "Shh", not helping him at all to stay awake.
"Let go, Liu Qingge," and he wanted to stand up, to pay attention because Shang Qinghua had never called him by name like this before, so it must be important, right? He needed to be alert, he- "Shh, I won't let your story to be untold this time."
And that made no sense, no sense at all. What did he mean by this time? Was this man even the real Shang Qinghua? Was he surrendering himself to an impostor? But why save him, why?
"Why..." he mumbled right before sleep dragged him to a kinder darkness, the molten gold eyes guiding him to a dreamless sleep.
---------
Don't ask, I have no idea either, but I have been listening to Sleep Token non stop since Wednesday and I was feeling a darker vibe than the 12/12 fics.
Look at me, building the Warplane ship one insane fic at a time husdihfuisdf
Anyway, hope you enjoyed the fic! See you around!

"Breath." I've got a lot to say here. You know - if you've played the game - how much Cid wants to help people and how Clive's helped him to change his view of their common goal ("what about a place to live in their own terms ?" instead of a place to die). And the fact that Cid's saved (more than once) Clive. Well... I think about this a lot. Like, ALL THE TIME. So here's a little something about this. I wanted to picture Clive, waking up after a bad dream, confused, lost, but Cid's here, to softly whisper to his ear "breath / I'm here, lad." And slowly soothing him back. Holding his hands until his boy's fully back, in their own world.
sigh People call me a hopeless romantic. I think I begin to believe being one, hey !
I hope you'll like it ! It took me a little more time than planned to do but I'm quite happy with the result !

Summer Rain - Eddie Munson x Gn reader (Fluff)
Tumblr media
Summary: You promised your neighbor Eddie to bring him over some cake and you keep that promise even if it's storming outside.
Warnings: reader borrows some of Eddie's clothes (it isn't described how they fit though), gender neutral reader, pure fluff, english isn't my first language so please excuse if there are some mistakes wordcount: 1.2k
A/n: I'm terrible at coming up with names for my fanfictions so this title is taken from the song Summer Rain by Johnny Rivers. My mom had this song playing while I was writing this and it fits.
Comments, likes and reblogs are always appreciated and it makes me very happy to see and hear that people enjoy my writing.
━━━━━━☆━━━━━━
Rain pounded relentlessly against the windows, its drumming synchronizing with the rapid rhythm of your heart as you hurriedly made your way to Eddie Munson's house. Your neighbor's place was just a few doors down the street, and despite the inclement weather, you were determined to uphold your promise of sharing the leftover cake. You tugged the hood of your raincoat closer around your face, attempting to shield yourself from the downpour. The weather worsened, and within moments, you were thoroughly drenched.
With a determined exhale, you reached Eddie's front porch, your pulse racing like the distant thunder. You knocked on the door, hoping he was home. The door swung open, revealing Eddie, who looked surprised to see you standing there, dripping wet.
"(Y/N)? Hey, what are you doing out in this storm?" Eddie's voice was laced with genuine concern, his brows furrowed as he scanned your drenched form.
You offered a soggy smile, determined to keep your spirits high despite your sodden state. "Brought over the cake as promised," you announced, holding the Tupperware container with a cheerful smile.
A hint of protest danced in Eddie's eyes, his lips twitching as he glanced at the storm outside. "You shouldn't have; it could have waited until tomorrow," he insisted, his voice a mix of appreciation and worry. "Come in, I can't have you going back out there." With that, he stepped aside, ushering you into the warmth of his home.
You carefully stepped inside but didn't venture further as a puddle was already forming under you. Eddie, ever the gentleman, quickly fetched a towel and offered it to you with an understanding smile. "Here, take this. You're soaked!"
You accepted the towel with gratitude, the soft fabric offering a welcomed reprieve from the rain's icy embrace. As Eddie took your coat to hang it up, you took a moment to survey your surroundings, absorbing the essence of his living space.
"Do you maybe want to take a shower? They say this storm won't end any time soon, and it would be best to wait it out." Eddie's voice pierced through your thoughts, anchoring you to the present. His concern pulled you from your contemplative daze, and you met his gaze with a thoughtful nod.
"Um, yeah, that might be a good idea. Though, do you maybe have something else for me to wear? I don't exactly want to wear my wet jeans after coming out of the shower," you confessed, a shy smile tugging at the corners of your lips. The idea of borrowing his clothes added a layer of unexpected excitement to the situation.
Eddie looked at you for a second, surprise flashing across his face before it quickly faded.
Eddie: "Oh, uh, yeah, sure! I can find you something comfy to wear. Let me grab you some clothes. You can go ahead to the bathroom," he gestured, pointing you in the right direction.
Stepping into the bathroom, you took a moment to absorb the unfamiliar yet strangely inviting environment. Before long, a soft knock sounded on the door, and Eddie's voice seeped through the crack. "I, uh, hope those fit okay. Let me know if you need anything else."
You acknowledged his words with a genuine smile, feeling a sense of comfort settle over you. "Again, thank you."
With the door closed, you made quick work of the shower, reveling in the warmth that enveloped your chilled skin. Emerging from the bathroom, you felt transformed, the weight of wet clothes exchanged for a pair of sweatpants and a slightly faded band tee. The garments carried Eddie's scent, a subtle reminder of your unexpected visit.
Eddie needed a moment to process when you reentered the living room. Seeing you in his clothing was a sight he had only ever dared to imagine in his dreams.
"You, uh, you look good in my clothes. I mean, you look good... always." Eddie stumbled over his words, unable to sort his thoughts.
Then you settled in the living room, a blanket wrapped around you to escape the chill of the room. Thunder rumbled in the distance, and lightning illuminated the room every few seconds. Eddie asked you what you wanted to watch. "Hmm, how about we watch that new thriller series I mentioned last time? It seems fitting for the weather," you proposed, a grin curving your lips. Eddie nodded in agreement before navigating through the entertainment options to put on the chosen show on the screen.
The rumbling outside grew worse, and you couldn't help but feel a little uneasy, but Eddie being by your side made you feel safer somehow.
The desire to be closer to him surged within you, an instinctual urge to seek solace in his company. You entertained the thought of nuzzling into the crook of his neck, nestled against the warmth that radiated from his skin. It was a fleeting fancy, one that you simultaneously craved and hesitated to indulge, for fear of overstepping boundaries.
As the storm continued outside, you started to chat about everything and discovered that you shared more interests than you thought before. The rain was a mere backdrop to the conversation between the two of you. Time seemed to fly by, and the storm showed no signs of letting up.
"You know," Eddie began, his voice sounding soothing amidst the storm, "I'm really glad you came over. It's nice having someone to keep me company during this storm."
"Me too," you responded, your words bearing a soft undertone of gratitude. A warmth engulfed your chest, something you had never felt before.
Gazing into Eddie's eyes, you felt as though the two of you existed in a world of your own, completely separate from everything that was happening outside.
The storm continued, not letting up by your shared laughter and whispered secrets. The rain drummed a relentless rhythm against the windows, and the TV's glow flickered just like the flashes of lightning outside. Yet, your focus remained squarely on each other, the growing connection between you amplifying with every passing moment.
Finally, with a distant rumble of thunder, the rain started to subside. Despite the calming storm, a surge of hesitation tugged at your thoughts. You really didn't want to leave yet.
The allure of the present moment held you in place, coaxing you to take a daring leap.
"Eddie, I... I really enjoy spending time with you," you confessed, feeling your face heating up.
Eddie's eyes softened, his lips curling into a tender smile. "I feel the same way, (Y/N). You're amazing."
At that moment, the world seemed to stand still. The angry storm was replaced by the tension that crackled between you. Warmth enveloped you, tugging you closer to Eddie until your fingers naturally entwined.
"I like you, Eddie," you admitted, your heartbeat quickening with each passing second.
His smile broadened, the reflection of his emotions dancing in his eyes. "I like you too, (Y/N). More than you could ever imagine."
With those whispered words hanging in the air, you closed the distance between you, a delicate connection brought by the pull of mutual affection. Lips met in a tender kiss, a sweet and passionate show of your blossoming romance against the storm.

AND THE LAST PRUCAN MINIFIC IS FINALLY HERE
@artemiswolfheart I'm so sorry for how long this took, I hope you enjoy anyways :') This is set in the universe for my fic In Between, where Matthew is some flavour of immortal stuck in a house with the German Family's ghosts. And the prompt was, 'You had this planned all along, didn't you?' (Okay turns out this is 1.3k so not exactly mini but whatever it's been months lmao)
Whenever the gloomy manor on the hill came alive, it was usually the most active resident ghost's fault.
This time was no exception, of course. As Matthew walked the lonely, rat-eaten halls, Gilbert's shade seemed to follow him everywhere. A little gleeful cackle here, arms darker than night wrapping around him there… truth be told, the ghost's apparent mirth was infectious. Matthew found himself smiling more than he could ever remember, giggling when his incorporeal lover apparently tripped over a floorboard.
"Silly goose," He said with a grin as he offered a hand to one who he could barely feel. "You've got to be careful, Gilly. Wouldn't want you to scrape a knee!"
The memory of the laughter that echoed through the hall was one that Matthew was sure would still make him smile for years to come.
It wasn't just Gilbert himself who seemed to be in high spirits. For the first time in a long time, perhaps ever, Matthew heard joyful music coming from the room upstairs he dare not go into. Musicman, the one who guarded that room like a jealous lover, had apparently decided that now was the time to pick up his violin and begin to play again. Matthew knew he couldn't go in. He didn't fancy getting the breath knocked out of him again, after all. But he figured perhaps it wouldn't be a crime to sit outside the door and listen for a while. Maybe Musicman would appreciate his audience of one.
As the days wore on, Matthew couldn't help but notice that the house itself seemed… different. He'd been here for many, many untold years, wandering it's halls like a ghost yet not being allowed to join the dead. Of the places he frequented, he knew every corner, nook and cranny. He was very familiar with the dourness that seemed to emanate from the rotting walls. Yet now, when the sun decided to show it's face, he noticed beams of it hitting in places he'd never noticed before. Pillars of light, all streaming in from the windows in the hallway to the library, all pointing towards it and the gold framed painting of Gilbert that hung up beside the door… hm. Matthew was pretty sure there was no way Gilbert could have made this happen. He was just a ghost, after all. But something in his heart took this as a sign.
When he approached the library later that night for his daily reading with his spectral love, he could feel a certain electricity in the air.
He pushed open the door to the grand library, ready to either select a book or have one thrown at him, then settle on the chair that was still somehow comfortable. He was ready to read aloud for however long Gilbert would listen. That was their routine, after all.
It seemed Gilbert had enough of routine for one day.
Matthew pushed open the door and found not just one book on the floor. No, there seemed to be a trail of them, leading well past his chair and into the deeper recesses of the library. That was certainly out of the ordinary, wasn't it? Curious, Matthew followed the trail. He walked past books with knights and princesses on the covers, past books detailing bird species and migration habits from over a century ago, and books about wars that had nearly been forgotten now. He walked until he came upon a door he'd never seen before in all his years of being in the library.
This is where the trail stopped.
It was times like these that Matthew sorely wished he had a map of the house. He opened the plain wooden door to reveal a hallway shrouded in darkness, with light coming from under the door that was apparently at the other side. That was strange in and of itself. Light in this house only existed either because Matthew found a spare box of matches, or because a certain someone decided to light his way.
That certain someone must have noticed his apprehension. The hair at the back of Matthew's neck stood up as something cold brushed past it. He just barely felt a hand tugging at his own, beckoning him to go down the hall and towards the unknown.
"Bitte… liebling…"
Well… Gilbert had never led him astray before, right? Matthew took a deep breath, made sure the door was propped open with a gigantic tome about Roman Architecture, and breached the blackness ahead of him.
Now, Matthew wasn't scared of the dark, necessarily. The halls of this house were ever dim, ever lit by a handful of candles who's meager flames cast shadows over everything that he'd rather not look at. He was more afraid of the dark he was unfamiliar with. And this hall, one that had laid dormant probably since the occupants of the house were alive, was unfamiliar indeed. Were it not for the hand in his own, the unseen guiding him through the unseen, he might very well have turned back.
When the door opened for him at the other end, he was very glad that he hadn't. He would have missed out on the most wonderful thing the house had offered him yet.
Before him, lit by enough candles to be a major fire hazard, was an impressive ballroom. Here, time had been much kinder, it seemed. The wooden floor was still intact, untouched by the whims of rot and ruin. The domed ceiling soared to what seemed like an impossible height, given the rest of the building. Matthew wondered how he'd never noticed it. Then again, when was the last time he'd actually left the house to see?
The grandest sight of all, however, waited for him in the middle of the dance floor. Matthew had only ever seen Gilbert as a dark shadow, the briefest flash of a toothy grin, a feeling of something playful and wonderful near him. He only knew what the man looked like from the painting hung up by the library.
Yet there he was, fully visible (if translucent). His shock of white hair, his poppy-red eyes, the clothes of an officer or a general or someone important in a military now made entirely of ghosts… He was here. Smiling so softly at Matthew. Holding his hand out, waiting for Matthew to pick his jaw up off the floor and come closer.
"Not… much time…"  He said. His accent was incredibly thick, like these were the first words in English he'd ever spoken. "Dance… me?"
Who was Matthew to deny such a request?
He fought back tears as he practically ran over to his handsome soldier. All these years he wished so badly that he could see those beautiful eyes gazing at him so fondly, those thin, scarred lips with a lopsided grin only for him… if this were a dream, Matthew never wanted to wake up. He took the hand that was offered to him and choked down a sob as he did. He could actually feel it. There was no pulse, no warmth, but it felt tangible enough. He let Gilbert get them both into position, let the man put a cold hand on his hip, and then bent down to kiss his cold cheek.
"You had this planned all along, didn't you?" Matthew whispered through tears.
He didn't get a reply at first. Gilbert, now smirking, nodded to the dark shadow of the musician who haunted the corner of the room. A beautiful strain of violin music emanated from that corner and filled the ballroom with a waltz originally meant for many; now only played for two.
"Ich liebe dich… Engel…" Gilbert breathed as he began to lead.
Matthew wasn't sure how long this would last, how long he had to feel his spectral lover's arms around him and see his handsome face like this. He wasn't sure if he would ever get this chance again. He couldn't say anything back for fear of completely breaking down. But he hoped, as he kissed cold lips that eagerly returned it, his answer was clear.
I love you too, Gilbert. Thank you.
