Oh, baby
Georgia Stanway x reader.
I know nothing about giving birth so bare with me. Also please don't kill me for the plot changes, Hope you like it!
Other players masterlist
──✩₊⁺⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧──
"Fuck!" you said feeling the warm liquid run down your legs. "No, no, no." You were staying over at her parents' house. Tomorrow would be the final match at the 2023 world cup and you would be gathered to watch the game there.
"Jo! We need to go, my water just broke!" you said grabbing her mother's attention. Her dad had gone to Australia to support her, but her mom refused leaving you, pregnant and alone. And you thanked the universe. You were 36 weeks, you were to give birth only next month. You had been feeling small contractions, that were apparently normal in the third trimester.
That was the only reason Georgia agreed to go.
A million thoughts went through your mind. Would the baby be okay? Would they have to do a C-section?
Would your fiancé be okay, knowing she missed the moment se was waiting so excited for? Were you even ready for this?
You started to cry immediately.
"Don't worry love, I'm calling her as soon as you're in the hospital."
"No please! You can't! You know her!" you said followed by a scream when you felt the sharp pain of a contraction hit you. "Please, please wait as much as we can. This is important for her, she needs to be a hundred percent focused."
"But seeing her daughter's birth is too..."
"I know but even if she knows, she'll won't get here in time. Please."
She only nodded agreeing with you. And you asked her to call your parents instead.
──✩₊⁺⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧──
While you walked around the room, preparing yourself for the ride ahead, in attempt to stay sound, you thought about what had led you here.
You and Georgia had been together for almost six years.
You had met at Man City, both came from a small town and were around the same age, sharing the dream to become big players.
You started dating, and your relationship went through a lot.
You endured for years a long distance relationship, when you moved away to play in Spain and she stayed back in Manchester.
A couple of seasons later you transferred to Bayern, where your girlfriend soon followed suit.
And you both finally managed to start your life together.
She didn't want to wait any longer, all that time had been enough.
From living together to her proposing, life felt like pure bliss.
And after the 2022 euro's title, you felt like it was the right time to have a pause on your career.
It wasn't an easy decision, since the World Cup was around the corner.
But differently from your teammates, you now had a bigger dream, Georgia fully supported you, she herself had always wanted to be a mother.
You didn't expect for it to work so soon.
Along with the risks the doctors had told you, it could take more than one try.
Fortunately the whole pregnancy had been very healthy, and nothing gave you any reason to think something like this could happen.
You questioned yourself if you were doing the right thing, by not updating her on the matter.
──✩₊⁺⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧──
Georgia's head was buzzing, Spain was winning by a goal. England had slightly recovered at the end of first half, but it wasn't enough.
She sat on the locker room, trying to cool down, zoning out a bit. All she could think of was winning this, to come home as a champion. For her girls.
She could have never imagined you had been in the hospital for the last couple of hours, let alone giving birth. So she didn't bother to look for her phone.
And before she knew, she was walking back to the field for the second half.
──✩₊⁺⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧──
"Just one more push, yeah?"
And you did as a loud cry filled the room. And they placed her right on your chest.
You felt like you could pass out from how tired you were.
But you couldn't, yet.
"You did great darling." her mom cooed you in between tears.
"Is the game over yet?"
"Yes, they won second place." she handed your phone over.
You cried hard a the sound of that. She had been deprived of being champion and seeing her daughter's first moments in the same day, at the same time. You tried to recompose yourself while you pressed to facetime her.
ongoing call...
"Hey love, what took you so lon-" she managed to get out before shutting up at the realization. A big smile appearing in her tear stained face. "She's beautiful."
before she could say anything else, Lucy, who was prying at the video call, loudly announced to everyone.
"The baby is here!" and you could hear the girls cheering loudly. Running to try and congratulate you.
"You guys are so loud, geez." your soon to be wife said after a few moments, walking to a more private place, so you both could talk.
"I am so sorry." you said eyes filled with tears.
"We couldn't have known." she said giving you a reassuring smile. "I was going to show you this baby here," showing her silver medal at the camera. "But it seems like you're already holding our baby right there."
And for over ten minutes you two sat quietly, just admiring the angel you had brought into the world.
"Is she okay? I mean she clearly looks like it, but since she's early..."
"Better than expected actually. They said she's around 6.30 lbs and over 19 inches. Pretty big for a preterm. They'll run some tests in the morning, just to be sure." you said letting out a yawn.
"You need to get some sleep. And I'm getting on the first plane home."
"I love you, and I'm so proud of you."
"Oh baby, I'm the one who's proud. I love you. Both of you."

Hi Jade! I think the KBD universe has to be my favourite thing of yours that you've written, I constantly go back to reread all of them all the time! I'm not sure if you're still taking Christmas requests or if you've moved on and are ready for the New Year, but I was wondering if you could please write about maybe what the girls got for Christmas or how they celebrated the holiday? (this is for if you're still in the Christmas spirit) Or maybe how they are planning to spend New Year's Eve, or day? (this is for if you're ready for the New Year) <3 xxx
kbd —the harringtons chill out before new year's ♡ mom!reader, 1.2k
“Do you think we have enough hot dogs for New Year's?” you ask, eyeing the top shelf of the fridge.
Steve steps in behind you casually, his entire front pressed to your back. An excuse to wrap you up into a hug, he folds his arms over your stomach and drops his nose into your shoulder. “What?” he asks, kissing the sliver of shoulder exposed by your t-shirts drooping neckline.
“Hot dogs. Dove will eat four herself, and that's only one each for the rest of us.”
“Beth won't eat one, and neither will you, probably. So that's two for me and two for Avery. Think we need more?” he asks.
Probably not, but what if Avery decides she wants a third? Avery doesn't have tantrums, she just retreats into herself and cries, which is worse. “I'll put it on the list,” Steve says, likely having had the same thought.
“You're making chilli?”
“For my Beth,” he says, “uh-huh.”
“And I'm making butterfly cupcakes. And Robin's still coming? Wait, what if Robin wants a hot dog?”
“I'll get another jar,” he says, hugging you sweetly. “Okay?”
You turn your face toward him and let him kiss the place under your chin. He's more passionate than you're expecting, which is to say, his hand feels at your stomach and his other rises to just beneath your chest, and he noses at you until your lips are on his.
He turns you slowly into his grasp, chest to chest, and kisses you more.
Steve pulls away to look over your face proudly. “You're so pretty.”
“Thanks, H,” you say. You sew your arms behind his neck for another hug. He squeezes you close and the force of it has him doing that strange sweet thing where he shifts from one foot to the other, dancing you on the spot. “You're pretty too.”
“Not like you.” He sounds like he's smiling. “You're beautiful.”
For once, the planets align, the universe knows how much you need it, and you get to hug your husband for as long as you like. The fridge is cold on your back but he rubs it warm, and the sound of the girls playing in the living room only serves to make your hugging nicer.
“Love you,” you mumble into his shoulder.
“I love you,” he says. He backs away to take your face into both of his hands. “I'm really proud of you. You really knocked it out of the park this year.”
You shake your head, befuddled. “What? Steve, you barely needed my help, you did half the presents on your own, you did all of the grocery shopping, you barely let me cook.”
“You just had a baby.”
“Kind of,” you say.
“So yeah, I'm proud of you. And you worked hard to make sure we had the money for the presents, for the groceries, for all of it.”
“We work hard,” you say bashfully.
“Listen to me,” he says, in his gentlest of tones, the kind he uses when you're sick, his thumbs pushing back the fat of your cheeks slowly, “listen. What you did this year? How hard you've worked, after months of being probably the most pregnant you've ever been,” —you laugh and jostle both yourself and him— “and then just running straight back into it? You think I didn't notice all that?”
“Of course not, you told me enough,” you say quietly.
He smiles and kisses you under the chin with a loud smack of his lips. “Love you so much. Thank you for another perfect Christmas.”
You force him into a second tight hug so he can't see your glassy eyes. It's really, really nice to be loved by him. He always acknowledges you. He's always been this good to you, before and after the babies.
Speaking of. A patter of feet race through the living room to the kitchen. You and Steve turn to see them at the same time, Dove and Bethie hand in hand with a Barbie dangling by the foot in Dove's small fist. “Daddy,” she says, “mommy, hello.”
“Hello, trouble,” Steve says.
“What do you want?” you ask suspiciously.
Bethie looks at her sister then back to you both, caught. “How did you know that we wanted something?”
“You look like you do,” you say. You bend down with a smile and beckon her forward, wiping at a chocolate smudge on her cheek. “Have you been eating chocolate coins again, lovely girl?”
“Some,” she says, grinning. “Dove–” Beth drops her sister’s hand. “I want to have dinner again. And Dove says, um, that she wants some too.”
“You're hungry?” Steve asks, bending down beside you.
“Yes.” She smiles with teeth, an awkward show of teeth. She's very pretty, but she hasn't mastered smiling on purpose. Doesn't matter. Steve would make her a five course dinner in the middle of the night if she asked.
“What do you want, honey?” he asks excitedly. Bethie is a bad eater, so her being hungry is always a good thing.
More footsteps. You hold the door open for Avery as she trots in, already smiling in her new robe as she walks straight into your pyjama-clad thighs. “Mom, guess what?” she asks, her chin digging into your leg.
“What?”
“I finished the puzzle!”
“You did? All five hundred pieces? Oh my gosh, daddy, we have a pro in the house.” Luckily, the other girls weren't interested in Avery's jigsaw, and she's had some time to herself. You hadn't expected Avery to like it as much as she did, you only bought it because it was off different kinds of dogs, which she loves.
Steve beams at Avery with the same shade of pride he'd worn only ten minutes earlier. “No way! Sweetheart, we'll have you on the thousand piece ones in no time.”
She flusters at all the positive attention and hides her face in your hip. Not like her. You giggle and rub the top of her shoulder affectionately. “Can I come and see?” you ask.
She remembers her enthusiasm. “Yes! Yeah, come and look, please. Daddy, please?”
You all march back into the living room to gather around the small table that Avery's commandeered for her puzzle. Dove has been given strict instruction to leave it alone, and she's so high on Christmas happiness she hasn't bothered disobeying.
You peek over at Wren snoozing in her bassinet. She's a sleepy baby now she's done with her colicky tirade of terror. Steve sees you looking and takes your hand, lime he's saying, Yeah, you made that one too.
“Oh, wow,” he says, voice thick with awe.
“You did it so quickly, you're so smart,” you praise, bending down to Avery's height. “Wow, look at the puppies. They're so cute. They're like you.” Mom-ese never fails.
Avery wraps her arms around herself and leans up on toes to kiss your cheek. “Thanks, mom.”
Steve squeezes her arm.

I can't keep doing this to myself...
My brain spit out an idea at me that I don't want to lose so you get to suffer with me under the weight of this idea until I have the time space energy ADHD hyperfocus to start on it.
This is not edited. Goal is to get the thought out of my head, not to make it perfect.
So imagine for me if you will that in some version of the stories for whatever reason I can bullshit into making sense Simon is selected to undergo a new and experimental form of trauma therapy. Used she/her here but when I write it pronouns will be you/yours
He hates it but orders are orders and after losing Johnny (his best mate, his lover, the other half of his soul) he would do just about anything to crawl from under the weight of the grief and guilt. Accepting the assignment means being put under sedation regularly for anywhere from six months to a year. During the sedation your active mind will remian awake and will begin to interact with a simulation that will help deal with the traumas exisiting in his body and mind.
Simon, not 100% on board, accepts the assignment but when he wakes up in some of his worst memorires ignores the woman following him from scene to scene, offering help. Every time he cowers as a child she offers a hand. Each time he bites back the fear flooding his system on a battlefield she offers to take the bullet instead.
For months he ignores her, trying to defeat his demons on his own. This was his mind and his body dammit, he could do this.
She stops offering help but doesn't leave. Trailing behind him in his memories Simon always finds flowers strewn in his footsteps. He never bothered to learn her name. When her laughter starts to haunt his dreams he watches her instead of his memories.
Whoever had programed this simulation had taken great care in creating a realistic interaction point. She makes ugly faces before she sneezes in the barns he has hid in, always complains about hayfever. Her ring finger on her right had been broken before, he can tell from the slight bend between the second and third knuckle. Every time he entered the simulation she wore something different, sometimes tugging on pants as if they wouldn't stay up.
"What should I call you?"
"Mmm?" She looks up from a book she had pulled down from a shelf in a dilapidated kitchen. "Oh, I'm not real so you can call me whatever you want."
He stared at her, frustrations mounting.
"Back to the silent treatment? Okay, this recipe looks actually really yummy," she turns to look back to the book.
Simon stalks up and snatches it from her hands. There is actually handwritten recipes. For some reason this makes Simon's rage double. How? How could this be real? He never opened a book in this kitchen. All that happened here was patching his wounds while waiting for exfil.
Their pattern continues like that until his brain finally spits out Johnny's death. He had been so, so careful to never let that memory come up. When it does Simon is so blindsided that when she offers to help he finally accepts.
Not knowing what to expect from this interaction did not prevent Simon from being surprised at how she handled it. She started to hum as she froze the memory, touching and moving pieces and people until everything had rewound a few moments.
"You have to sit it in, this pain. Talk to him. Tell him everything you didn't get a chance to. The longer you can sit in the agony the sooner it will find peace." She takes him by the hand and pulls him to his love.
Simon cries, like the young boy who needed safety and only found hate or indifference. Through blubbering sobs he tells Johnny every word he regretted hording. When Johnny hugs him back, mouth moving and voice saying things Simon had only dreamed of he found a semblenece of peace.
When his heartrate returns to normal and the only proof this interaction happened is the hollow space in his chest where Johnny will continue to exist his compaion steps back from Johnny, appearing as if from the dust.
"I think that is enough today. You did good." Turning on her heel she walks away, disappearing into the folds between memories.
Simon had never seen her leave before, he always ended the sessions before she had a chance.
He lets her help then, this nameless woman. They conquer every memory and the vaguest notions of memories that bother him. This intensive work paired with his weekly therapy leaves his with the skills to deal with the nightmares, the PTSD, and the trauma that still manifests from time to time.
Can one fall in love with a figment of imagintion? Simon thinks he might have. The final session he confesses, brushing his lips against hers as she sobs.
"But I'm not real. Simon, you can't love me I'm not real."
"Johnny's not real either anymore. I still love him. I'll keep you in my bones next to him, both of you keeping me safe."
She runs then, between memories and fears until she disappears and ends the sesion.
Simon, upon requesting more sessions, is informed that he has completed the program and all his care is being turned over to the non-intensive team that his therapist is a part of. Oh she shouldn't have argued with him or cut off their sessions. Now he knows she is real, the woman the knocked around his brain and fought back the demons for him.
Now all he had to do? Find her.
For anything I am currently working on check out my masterlist. This is getting dropped into my drabbles for later.

Thinking about my current favorite thing is emphasising JUST how heartbroken Wade is over Nathan still but being fully understanding of it because he's surprised that he agreed to be an undefined relationship with him in the first place.
There's no "Well why don't you just bring your daughter here? I'm open to share you can bring your wife too" it's just... Acceptance.
Acceptance that Nathan is leaving him. "Oh... okay.."
"I had a great time with you, Wade. Don't think I didn't it's just... It's not the same."
".. I know.."
He wipes a tear off his face with his thumb. "It's not why you think.."
"Yeah.." but he clearly doesn't believe him.
"I'm really sorry.. I didn't mean to.. I thought I was going to stay. But I can't. I can't leave my daughter alone like my father did to me." He mutters this last part.
Wade gives a nod. Wow. Here, he was being dumped and abandoned, and still, he was doing it in the hottest way possible. By sticking to his family. Too bad Wade didn't have any family. He wanted one so badly, but it never felt complete. And even when it did, just briefly, he put them all in so much danger that its better to be alone.
But Cable didn't need protection. He could take care himself, and Wade didn't need to worry about him being kidnapped and held hostage.
His voices had begged him not to do it.
Told him to break the damned thing so Nathan could never leave... but he showed him the second he fixed it. Excitedly wrapped it up and gave it to him. He physically handed Nathan his own heartbreak. Presenting the wrist band to him like a proud cat who finally killed that annoying bird its owner complained about. He couldn't keep it hidden. Morally - pft. Yeah, those pesky things - Morally, he couldn't keep Nathan from seeing his daughter. He'd visit and come back. Back to Wade. And for some stupid reason? Wade thought it would stay like this. He thought that by doing the right thing, Nathan would see him as good and love him more..
That was the last time he litsened to that stupid cricket on his shoulder.
"...Bye, Wade." He told him. Even kissed his forehead goodbye. And then?
He left him standing there. Alone.
It's why he has such a hard time believing Logan when he comes around. For months, he paced and worried that once again he's done the right thing too well, Worried that by getting his suit repaired, once again excitedly presenting it to him, a nice little ribbon. Logan had cried when he got it. Hugging him and breaking his ribs.
He waits for him to leave. He waits for him to realize he's not happy here. He waits for him to give him the same speech, but it never comes.
Eventually, he tells him that if he doesn't have the balls to break up with him, then he can just leave. Logan has no fucking clue what hes talking about because he thought things were going well. He dosn't immediately jump to being upset and instead just tilts his head in that stupid little look he does.
"... what's wrong, Wade?"
Triple W. He hates it. Everyone is always asking this, and he can't ever explain why. He couldn't explain such complex emotions that he himself barely understands.
"Turns out.." he starts, looking almost defeated. Small. And tears come to his eyes. "When a guy says you remind him of his wife... it's not a good thing.."
Again, he's confused because Wade would rather not talk about him much. He hurts too much when thinking about it because none of his relationships ever end on respectful terms like that. They either die or dump him, call him nuts, run away. Or... They sit him down.. tell him they're leaving... and then leave.
He doesn't want Logan to be a third. Oh, it was ridiculous how much he loved him. How much he LIKED him. Sure, he had a great time with Nathan, but Logan felt different. He couldn't pinpoint why. He spent hours comparing the two in his head, trying to find WHY Logan was different.
The last person to do this to him, after Nathan, was Vanessa.
Yes, Logan can live forever LOVE him forever, but so could time travelers. Yeah, he could stab Logan and genuinely blow off some steam with him, and he'd be fine, but he was used to being gentle with partners, used to holding back with V. To make sure he didn't hurt her, Ever (well- unless, she asked - but that was different) So why with him did he feel so.. trusting? Was it his smell? Was it the fact that he could be pissed off at him and still make Wade his safe foods? Was it how he snored? How he sat there and endure his bullshit like now? With that pathetic pitiful smile with such big canines and beautiful eyes that he could swim in? WHAT WAS IT?
"...What if she's dead?"
"W-what?" He holds himself tight, stomach turning and hurting with worry, feeling nauseous.
"What if my wife is dead?"
He swallows "That dosn't help your case."
"What if.. You're nothing like my wife?"
Wade glances at him, semi perked up. "...What do you mean?"
"Well.." he starts. "What if this is real?"
Wade tilts his head like a puppy.
"What if... our entire marriage was fake because her power quite literally gave me false memories and forced me to believe all of it was real? What if... what we have IS real?" He mutters, putting his cheek in his hand.
He blinks, processing, smiling, immediately cringing, and crinkling his nose. "OH- Wolvie... ouch....ew." That didn't sound very consensual...
"... yeh.. well.. shit happens."
He hates it when Logan connects with him so much, having something very similar of his own happen.
"So.. we good?" Logan asks.
"Huh?"
"Are we good? Yknow... cleared up the whole... thing?"
"What thing?"
"God really gifted you the memory of a goldfish didnt he? You told me you wanted to break up."
He crosses his arms, pouting. "No! I said If you didn't have the balls to break up with me then leave. I-i can't handle it."
Logan sighs heavily. "Fine. Then Im breaking up with you."
The look of pure shock quickly turns to sadness as he looks away, voice breaking. "..Ok‐ay.."
He rolls his eyes. "What are you doing later?"
"G-gonna cry in my room and eat an ungodly amount of ice cream..."
"....But your lactose intolerant.."
"I said what I said! W-why!? Why do you even care!?" He snaps at him, tears running down his face, clearly having over upset himself with his own mind.
"Hm.. You wanna get dinner instead?"
This one line flips a switch In wades dumb little head as he stares at him with wide eyes. "...Y-you're asking me out? Again??"
"Mhm. Long as you dont have a secret power that brainwashes me into it."
He shakes his head. "I-i dont."
"Promise?" Logan smirks, raising a brow.
"Promise!!"
And just like that he's on his lap, nuzzling all over him and telling him how mad he was at him but also how hot it is, and if they could get pasta for dinner.
The point of this story is that you are loved and your brain is a bitch. You really gonna litsen to a little bitch?? Pssh no. You're stronger then that. Act like it.

The Three Candles
Pairings: Luke Castellan & Thalia Grace & Annabeth Chase x Platonic! GN! Not Clearsighted Mortal! Reader
Summary: They always come back (But not ALL of them).
Warnings: Spoilers to all the 1st Collection: Percy Jackson and the Olympyans. Too much fluff! (Lol) and talks about death!
Notes: This is the Part 2 of my other work, "A Delightful Enconter", and thank you all for your love!
1.
The first time they came back it's still the three of them, some months later...it's late at night and you hear a knock on the door, still in your pajama you go see who it is. You yawn as you open the door.
Your eyes wide as you see who is there.
"Hello again Y/N." Luke says, he looks tired like he is trying not to cry.
"Do you three need a one night lace again, hmm?" You ask smiling as you let them enter.
"Bingo." Thalia says as she starts taking her things out of her bag.
"Y/N!" Annabeth runs to you and hugs you. "I have read 'Ulisses'!"
You smile. "Really? Did you like it?"
"Yes! I'm going to be a hero like him!" She tells you, her eyes shining.
"That's great dear." You smile to her again and go to Luke.
"Do you need help with the sofa?" You ask.
"Yes please. This just don't switch to the bed." He says still trying.
You help him and with that the bed is ready.
"Do you want to talk about it? I see that you are sad." As he looks at you you say. "I'm sorry if I'm being rude, I just want you to be okay."
He smiles. "Thank you, really..." He sighs. "It's just family problems." You nod wanting for him to continue.
"I visited my... mom today and my...dad was there." He tells you looking at the ground.
"I guess it didn't end well?" He nods.
"You know, family isn't just about blood, and what you have with Thalia and Annabeth is just as special as everything in the world." You smile at him and he hugs you.
"Thank you." He whispers in the hug.
"No problem honey." You say.
After the hug you go to Thalia to help her with a injury she had in the leg.
"Thank you." She smiles at you and you smile back.
They go to sleep and the very next morning they're not there..like last time.
You smile to yourself.
2.
The second time they came it's in the day, which you though 'weird'.
It starts with a knock in the door and as you open you see two people with orange shirts that say 'Camp Half-Blood' or some thing like that.
But you don't see the third head, they look at you with a sad look.
"Hey kids." You smile at them and they have the energy to smile back. "Where is Thalia?" You ask, and they froze up in place.
Luke is the first to talk. "She..." He looks at Annabeth trying to think of an excuse. "She is at the new summer camp we are at...she is sick so she didn't feel like coming." He sighs as he finishes.
"Oh, wait a second." You go to the kitchen and bring back a box and give it to Luke.
"For Thalia. I hope she feels better with these, and Annabeth.." You take a book from your shelf. "This one is for you." Annabeth reads the title 'The Renaissance era: Art and Architecture'.
"I saw that you love this greek kind of stuff, so.." You smile to her. "Thank you Y/N."
They leave after a group hug.
At the camp Luke opens the box, it's filled with sweets and cake. He cries as he thinks of Thalia, he and Annabeth eat the sweets together.
3.
The third time they came it was not 'they' just her, Annabeth.
As you open the door you smile as you see her, but you shiver as you don't see any sight of the others.
"Where are Luke and Thalia, dear?" You ask and she starts crying in your arms.
You take her inside and caress her hair.
"Oh, honey...what happened?" You whisper to her.
She sobs but between the sobs she tells you everything. That demigods and gods exist, that Thalia is a three now and that Luke is a traitor piece of crap, her words not yours.
You cry as you hear what happened to the two. You take two candles and light it. "For Thalia." You light one. "For Luke..I know he has a good heart, I'm sure he will come back to reason." You light the second candle.
For some hours you just hug Annabeth, she sleeps in your house and in the morning she is not there.
'Some things never change.' You think sadly. You see a note:
'I really liked the book, maybe I will be a architeth."
You smile and look at the candles.
4.
The forth time they come back is 'they' again, as you open the door you see Thalia and Annabeth, you run to Thalia's arms and hug her and cry.
She hugs you back smiling.
You take Annabeth to the hug too.
They come inside and they explain everything. How Thalia isn't a tree again, the situation with Luke, again.
As you hear all of it you look at the candles and Annabeth smiles at you.
Thalia tells you that she is now a Hunter of Artemis.
You congratulate her and give her the box with the same sweets you 'gave' her years ago.
She smiles and you three eat it at your house, talking and laughing, trying not to think about Luke.
"And Annatbeth has a crush." Thalia tells you.
"I have not a crush for Percy!" She yells blushing at Thalia.
You smile teasingly. "But no one said Percy dear." And she blushes even more.
Thalia laughs at her face and you smile to yourself.
They go away at the day this time, and when tehy are not there anymore you put one more candle.
"For Annabeth." You light the first. "For Thalia." You light the second. "And for Luke. Who I still believe has a beautiful heart." You light the third.
5.
The fifth time they come back it's the same as the last one. But with two new heads.
You hug Annabeth and Thalia, and has you hug the last you whisper to her: "So who are the other two?" She smiles and explains that they are Grover and Percy.
They both shake your hand and the four enter in your house. You take a lemonade out of the fridg eand give each a cup.
"So...what about Luke?" You ask and they all look both happy and sad.
"He was a hero." Percy says.
"...was?" You feel you eyes water with tears.
"..yeah, Y/N. He..died as a hero. You were right he really did the right thing." Annabeth says and Thalia hugs you. And the second she hugs you Annabeth comes for the hug too.
After some minutes you calm down.
All of you start talking about other things, how thay won the war. And...well Grover spoils a thing for you.
"Well, Y/N, me and huh...Percy...are.." She takes Percy hand and you already know what it is.
"They are dating." Grover says happy." Finnaly!!"
"Grover!" The other three yell at him.
"Congratulations dear." You say to Annabeth. "Well...Congratulations to all of you." You smile to them.
You pass the afternoon talking, they lunch at your house and when the night aproaches they get up and start leaving.
You hug Thalia and Annabeth again.
"It was nice meeting you, Grover, Percy." You wink at them and they shake your hands.
They go away and you light the candles again, you think it is a sign of Good Luck.

I'm sorry for this, it's not good. But somehow, I managed to get something done, so I gotta share. Kinda inspired by NCIS S21E08 'Heartless'.
Warnings: age gap, married couple, established relationship, talks of miscarriage, giving birth, jealousy, womanizer!Alden, daddy!Alden, very slight smut
Mine ~ Alden Parker
When you started to date Alden Parker, as he was still an FBI agent, you never considered becoming friends with his coworkers. Especially, after meeting a few of them he would consider his friends and they turned out to be judgmental towards the age gap in your relationship. Not that you wanted to befriend his coworkers anyways, you just agreed to meet them cause he asked.
However, it changed when Alden joined NCIS. He immediately started to tell you about his new team, and you could he was fond of them all, including his boss - which was extremely surprising since he never got along with his FBI boss, Sweeney. You quickly knew it would be different this time. It did take him a while before introducing you to them, but once it happened, you all hit it off. The guys were quite impressed with Alden wedlocking a woman fairly younger than him, while the girls, even though they wouldn't go for someone older, they agreed that Alden Parker had a little something. "It's the freaking hair!" Jess joked.
Before you knew it, this new team felt like family. You'd all hang out together - dinners, games night - and sometimes you'd have girls night with Jess and Kasie. You even babysit McGee's twins and/or Victoria a few times. Which, as much as you loved it, did hurt a little since it would remind you of the struggles you and Alden had been having to have a baby. Between not getting pregnant for months and the miscarriages, you had started to think that it wouldn't happen the natural way for you. Also, Alden really felt like he was getting too old to have a kid, no matter how badly he wanted one with you.
When you reached your third trimester, Alden felt pretty confident that this time everything was going to be alright while you couldn't shut that little voice in your head saying that something bad would happen like the other times. But finally, the nurse put your crying new born in your arms, and everything felt right. "You did so good, my love." Alden cried, kissing your forehead and looking down at his son. "Our miracle baby. He's perfect."
You didn't want the nurse to take him away from you but you knew they needed to check him up and clean him. "Do you guys have a name for this little guy?" Another nurse asked. You and Alden looked at each other for a second. "Axel Roman Parker." He said, proudly.
Obviously, the team was in the waiting room. Alden had been at work when you called him to tell him that your water broke. Nick had been the one driving to the hospital, "Torres, I'd like to meet my son before I die, thank you very much!" Alden shouted, holding onto the handle above the window.
"Don't worry, dad." Nick grinned.
Your husband went to see them to let them know that mom and baby boy were alright. "Is it okay if you guys only meet him in a few days?"
"Of course, no rush!"
"Send us pictures though! Please?"
Alden didn't want to go back to work after his paternity leave. He didn't want to leave his little family. The night before his first day back, he actually felt depressed. "He's changing so much so fast, I'm gonna miss so much." He sadly said, stroking his son's back, who was peaceful sleeping on daddy's chest.
"I'll take as many pics and videos I can." You kissed your husband's cheek. "And Vance said you don't have to put many hours like you usually do."
"I know, but still."
You noticed the tears forming in his eyes and it broke your heart a little. You didn't want him to go back to work either. You wish he could push his leave a little more, but he had pushed it as much as possible already - director Vance had been amazing and made it easy. You wrapped your arm around Alden's neck, carefully so you wouldn't wake up Axel. He nuzzled your neck as you gently stroked his hair. "He loves you and perfectly knows who daddy is. It won't change in a few hours, I promise."
"I honestly thought it would never happen for me, you know? Before you and then the issues we had, I thought-- I just wasn't meant to be a dad. But now he's here, and I just don't want to be away from him."
"Aw, baby." You cried with him. "I wish there was a way for you to stay."
The next day, Alden arrived late at work as he struggled to let go of Axel. Jimmy and Tim, who knew how it felt, were very helpful throughout the following week.
It took you months to separate from Axel, just for a few hours. And even more time to go out for a girls night while Alden had a boys night with his little man.
"I almost forgot how champagne tasted." You smiled, having your first drink in over a year.
"Good thing we took a whole bottle then!"
The conversation between you, Jess, Kasie and Delilah went on as it usually does when you four get together. Jess talked about her relationship with Jimmy, and her dad. Kasie confessed about her new crush - you and the girls immediately hyped her. Delilah talked about her job, and the twins newest obsessions. And you obviously talked about Axel and your husband.
"By the way, how's Alden's neck?" Jess asked.
"Perfect! Did Nick really fix him with a bear hug?"
"He did! It was pretty funny!" Jess laughed, remembering the scene from a couple of days ago. "Doctor Logan probably thought we were crazy."
"I can't believe that my husband im-so-scared-of-needles-hold-me-hand worked on a heart surgery." You laughed, trying to imagine the scene.
"Mr I fainted when my wife got her epidural." Kasie teased.
"In his defense, it's a pretty big needle for this." Delilah said. "Thank god he didn't faint during the surgery though." She joked.
"Well, if he did, I'm sure Doctor Logan would've enjoyed giving him mouth to mouth."
You, Kasie and Delilah turned like one person to look at Jessica. "What?" She asked, confused. Then she looked at you. "He didn't tell you?"
"Tell me what?"
"Um..."
"Jessica Knight."
"The doc clearly developed a crush on him. She practically flirted with him in front of me."
You let out a deep breath. "Did he flirt back?"
"Not really, he was genuinely confused."
"Did he not learn his lesson with the senator?" Kasie chimed in.
You finished your drink in one swallow, remembering when he gave you a piece of paper with a number on it. "Whose number is it?"
"A senator." He had said.
"Alright and what am I supposed to do with it?"
"You, nothing. But I guess she wanted me to call when she gave it to me." The jerk was smiling while you used to candle flame to burn the paper.
"I don't care about the 'it's safer for you if people don't know I'm married' crap, I'm gonna glue the wedding band to his damn finger."
The girls laughed, always enjoying how easily you get jealous when there's a woman around Alden. When you had learned that some women in the office kinda liked your man, you showed up at the NCIS headquarters for the first time and asked for a tour. When his ex wife got involved in a case, you were feeling anxious, even though she knew about you from the beginning, thanks to Alden's parents. The worst actually was when he saw his first love for the first time in over thirty years. He had admitted that it felt very strange, and maybe if he had been single, he'd have pursued something, but he was married to you, and deeply in love with you and he'd be crazy to let you go. It was one of those rare moments when you and Alden were struggling, and fought a little more often. But he never gave you a reason to be jealous or suspicious, it was just a part of your personality. And to be fair, he was such a womanizer, you couldn't help but to think that any other woman would be better than you.
You got home slightly drunk, which Alden expected. He was happy that you finally let yourself have some fun away from him and Axel. Barely sleeping on the couch, he immediately got up when he heard you come in. "Hey! What are you doing up? Is Axel awake?" You asked, struggling to take your shoes off. Alden kneeled down to help you.
"He did wake up an hour ago for his bottle but he's fast asleep now."
"Good, good." You leaned a little and ran your hand through his hair. "I'm so so so so happy you're my baby daddy."
Chuckling softly, he got back up and wrapped his arms around your waist. "Thank you for choosing me. You made all my dreams come true." You hugged there for a moment, just enjoying each other. "Let's go to bed, baby mama." He started to carry you, grabbing the baby monitor on the way.
"No sleeping, gimme another baby." He laughed but quickly got cut off as you smashed your mouth on his. He managed to get to the bedroom while you practically assaulting him, holding his face firmly and french kissing him. Of course his body was responding positively. As he put you down on the bed, you dragged him along. He was on top of you and you started to make out. It was long until you felt his erected cock between your legs. You reached for it, forcing your hands under his shorts. "Fuck, baby." He moaned.
"Yes, fuck me daddy."
And he did just that. ~
After freshening up in the bathroom, Alden found you in the nursery, looking over Axel. He hugged you from behind. "Do you really want another?" He asked, cautiously.
"Not necessarily," you admitted. "I mean, if it happens, I'll be very happy but I can't go through the struggles again."
"Okay. We've got him and he's absolutely perfect." You stroked your son's hair one more time before turning around to face your husband.
"He really is." You grabbed his left hand and stared at it for a moment. "This wedding band stays on, Alden. 24/7."
"But--"
"No but. I'm done with women flirting with you cause they assume you're single. You're taken, you're fucking mine. You keep the damn ring on."
Alden stayed silent for a moment. "Jess told you about Doctor Logan, didn't she?" You only looked at him, arms crossed. "Fine, I won't take off my ring ever again." He reached for your wrists and made you uncrossed your arms as he hated when you strike that pose on purpose. He brought you as close as possible to him. "Are you ever going to accept the fact that you're the love of my life? That I rather be single for the rest of my life than with someone else than you? That losing you and now Axel, would absolutely destroy me?"
All you could do was kiss him, but he did saw the tears falling down your cheeks.

On the Mend - Ch 1: Not Today
No Outbreak Joel Miller x Female Reader
Read this on AO3 | On the Mend Masterlist | Main Masterlist
Summary: You were having a really, really bad day in the midst of the scorching Austin summer, and seeing your ex boyfriend, Joel Miller, is the last thing you need.
Word count: 829
A/N: (EDIT 09/17/2023) Okay so I heard ya'll! LMAO and decided to turn this into a mini-series. Not sure exactly how things will play out for these two, but I've written a part 2 and decided to call this mini-series On the Mend. LOL hope you like it. This is a one-shot for now, not sure if and how to continue this. I just got this idea recently and wanted to write it.
The merciless sun bore down as she parked her car. The Austin summer had been relentless, and today, it seemed as if even the universe was conspiring against her.
It had been a thoroughly miserable day. Work had been a disaster; she'd spent hours redoing half of a project her co-worker had botched because she was still hungover from the previous night.
The Texas summer heat, relentless and unforgiving, only added to her misery. As if fate had a personal grudge against her, she realized she'd left her house keys on her office desk when she was already halfway home.
She sighed in defeat and turned her car around to retrieve them. All of this was compounded by her lingering morning sickness, a term she found deceptive as it had resurfaced with a vengeance upon entering her third trimester. She had naively believed she had bid it farewell for good when she'd crossed into the second trimester.
"Whoever called it morning sickness should be shot for lying," she grumbled, attempting to quell the rising nausea that threatened to surface.
Dressed in biker shorts and an oversized t-shirt she kept in her car for emergencies, she got out and beelined to the frozen aisle for a popsicle stick and savored the brief respite offered by the melting ice cold treat.
She sighed in relief and grabbed a pushcart. Her only mission in the store was to grab some Oreos, pickles, and frozen pizza to satisfy her cravings that were so intense, she literally cried in the car on her way over.
As she rounded a corner in the store, she was suddenly face to face with the last person she wanted to see: Joel Miller.
Great. She thought to herself. Couldn't have been on a better day.
Ah, Joel fucking Miller.
The man who had once been the love of her life.
The same man who had taken her on the most memorable first date she'd ever experienced, and had filled the past five years of her life with the kind of joy she'd never known before.
But this was also the man who made it clear to her months ago, after five whole years of being together and living together for three, that he has no plans of marrying her and having a family with her.
She and Joel were arguing at the time when he said it.
--
In the midst of their emotional clash, she couldn't help but speak her mind, her frustration boiling over.
"Joel," she began, her voice trembling with pent-up feelings, "if you get mad at every damn little thing, what's going to happen if we were married? That's not the life I want, and it's not the husband I need."
Joel's eyes flashed with anger as he retorted, "Of course it’s not! And who told you I was going to marry you?" His words cut like a knife, and she felt her heart shatter into pieces.
"We never talked about it, what put the idea into your head?" he continued, his tone harsh and unyielding.
Her jaw went slack in shock, as tears welled up in her eyes as she choked back her emotions.
"But I thought we--," she whispered, her voice barely audible, she couldn't even continue her thoughts when Joel cut her off.
"No." He barked. "You knew from the start that Sarah is my priority. Always was and always will be. I'm not going through the whole marriage thing again." And have our hearts broken all over again when you realize that we're not what you want, he wanted to add. But instead he allowed the silence to linger.
Silent tears slipped from her eyes but she did not respond.
Instead she stood up and went into the closet and started packing. So be it, she told herself as she zipped the last of her bags before going into the bathroom to hastily shove her toiletries into another bag.
She stopped when she pulled one of the lower drawers open. The positive pregnancy test sticks under her box of tampons glared at her, and for a brief moment she contemplated telling Joel. But when she heard the front door slam shut, she pulled herself together and shoved the sticks in the bag as well.
--
That was seven months ago and she hasn't seen nor heard from Joel since.
Their eyes met for a moment before his gaze fell upon her very round baby bump. Acting on instinct, she hastily placed her handbag in the shopping cart, a futile attempt to hide it from him, though it didn't do much given the fact that she looked like she had tucked an entire watermelon under her shirt.
She grimaced, closed her eyes, and took a deep breath. When she locked eyes with him once more, she began walking backwards, her eyes not leaving him and before he could say anything, she had rounded the corner and all he heard was, “Nope. Not today!”

Hear me out... (unedited)
Reader just broke up with her boyfriend. She's sad about it, yeah, mostly because she's been looking for "the one." All she's ever wanted was to marry the love of her life and have a family with them, but it's slowly starting to feel like that is impossible as everyone she's gone out with has either said she isn't their type or things don't end well. Case and point, her most recent ex who found someone else...
Reader feels a little hopeless. As her friends start to make families of their own, she feels even worse. She's there for them as they go through pregnancy and have their babies, being an aunt to their kids and a babysitter when her friends want to have a night out. She loves the little ones, but at the same time, she feels cheated out of the life she wanted for herself.
Hawk, her best friend, watches from the sidelines and doesn't know what to do. He takes her out in an attempt to forget about it, distracts her mind from it all. The one time they got drunk, she swore up and down about how her ex made so many empty promises to her and how upset she was when he left because she thought he was the one. Why couldn't he have been the one?
She cried in Hawk's arms before throwing up on the bar floor. After that, he decided that drinking wasn't the best distraction. So they did other things... like play video games and go sight seeing and practice karate.
Reader appreciates everything he does for her. He's the best and she always tells him as much.
It's when Yasmine is pregnant that she comes to a realization. Well, Moon helps her get there.
As the two women are leaving Yasmine and Demetri's home, Reader says something about how she can't wait to have all of this; the lush house, the loving partner, a baby on the way. It's not the first time they've talked about this.
"Why wait at all?" Moon asks.
Reader sighs. "I don't know. I'm still trying to find that special someone, you know?"
"They're not worth waiting on if you're ready for a baby," Moon tells her. It's quiet for a moment, Reader a little warm in the cheeks. "Reader, we all know how long you've wanted a family. Sometimes it's all you talk about. Just skip the search for someone and go for the baby. No one said you had to actually have a partner to have a baby."
Reader looks at her, a little stunned. She knew single women had babies all the time, through whatever means led them to that path in life, but she never considered it for herself. She blinks and licks her lips, smiling. "I'll have to think about it."
Moon giggles. "Definitely think it over."
And she does. Reader thinks about it for months before she comes to a decision.
The first person she tells is Hawk.
"I've decided I'm gonna have a baby," she tells him.
He laughs. "We all knew this about you."
"No, I mean soon. I'm gonna get pregnant soon and have a baby, Hawk." He looks at her questionably because he's known her plan all their lives: meet the person of her dreams first, then start a family. Sitting with her in his lonely apartment, he knows she's single as fuck. She knows he knows this and goes on to elaborate. "I'm tired of waiting for someone to love me enough to have a baby with me. I'm just gonna do it myself."
"Okay, but that's a lot more responsibility put on you," he says, concerned and only looking out for her best interest.
She nods. "I know. I've thought through all of it. I know what I'm doing."
He stares at her and sees how determined she is in this decision. Whether he thinks her doing this on her own isn't the best idea or not, he knows he won't be able to change her mind. "Okay. So are you gonna go to a sperm bank and tell them you want a donation?"
"No," she says and he almost chokes on air.
"What?"
"That's too expensive," she tells him. "I can spend that money on something a lot better. I mean, who knows how much I'd waste if it doesn't take the first or second or even third time, you know? I'm just gonna find a tinder hookup and go from there."
Now he puts his foot down in protest. "No. No way, Reader. For someone who's put a lot of thought into this, that is the worst way to go. I mean, you could meet someone dangerous or someone that you don't want to get you pregnant. Just save up for the clinic."
"I don't want to wait for that," she tells him, looking at him rather cross. But it's more out of desperation than being angry. "What other choice do I have?"
He says it before he thinks it through. "You have me."
She stares at him stunned. "What?"
He swallows hard but committs to it. "Reader, I don't want you getting hurt. I mean, all I want is for you to be happy. I'd do anything for you. I'd kill for you and you know that. So why not this?"
She sits silently and listens, then asks, "You'd really do this for me?"
"I'd do this with you," he tells her. He takes her hand and squeezes it. "Then you wouldn't have to do this alone and the kid can have both parents around."
She smiles.
"This is what best friends are for, right?"
She laughs and hugs him, nearly knocking him over. "You're the most amazing best friend ever!"
They hold each other for a moment longer than maybe what was necessary, then pull away from each other. He smiles at her a little cheeky.
"So, should I go get a turkey baster?"
He hits him on the arm. "Shut up! And no!" She sits shyly for a moment, cheeks growing hot. "That's another reason I didn't wanna use a clinic... I still want the have the whole... involved experience."
His eyes darken and he licks his lips. "Oh, I see."
He puts a hand on her thick thigh and squeezes it. She giggles nervously and puts her hand on his.
"Now isn't the time," she tells him, quickly explaining, "I'm not ovulating."
"We could still practice," he offers, wearing a cheeky smile.
She bites her lip and nods. "Yeah, a little practice wouldn't hurt."
They move to his bedroom, where their friendship takes on a whole new meaning. As he holds her pudgy waist and pounds her from behind, he silently hopes it takes some time for her to get pregnant because it's the best sex he's ever had. She moans and curls her fingers into the sheets, also wishing the same thing.
And even when they're cuddling in his sheets after their practice run, they're blind to the fact that this changes everything. But it does at least open up their hearts to the truth that's been there all along: they've been each other's meant to be for a long time. They just don't realize it yet, just like they haven't all these years they've been friends.

Oh Baby (Naruto x black fem!reader)
Warnings: None Category: Fluff Summary: Just my thoughts on me you and Naruto going through the birth of our your first child. Also, this is slightly proofread. I apologize for any mistakes.
(Third person POV)
~~
Y/N tossed and turned for the last time before finally accepting defeat. A few hours ago, you and Naruto finally laid down to rest for the night. She was sure the baby would get through the whole night this time. Y/N was about eight months into her pregnancy, and she blew up like a balloon. She was so big that the ability to put on regular shoes without Naruto's help was impossible. She hadn't even seen her toes in about three months, and she cries about it every so often.
Now, the baby was playing soccer or something, keeping her awake. She didn't know why the baby was up at nearly 3 in the morning until her stomach growled. At that moment, she realized just how hungry she was. "How am I hungry? I made sure to eat something before bed." She pondered to herself as she carefully threw her legs over the side of the bed. She felt around the floor for her slippers, pushing her pretty white colored piggies into the soft fabric, and stood up once she had them on. Looking back, she saw that Naruto was sleeping on his back with his mouth slightly open with light snores coming out. He looked so peaceful that she was almost jealous.
Usually, when Y/N wakes up in the middle of the night, he wakes up with her. However, two days ago, Naruto was sent on a mission as a last resort from Kakashi. Everyone else he had in mind before picking Naruto was already set out on missions, and he'd volunteer to do it himself before making Naruto leave Asami in such a state at home. Still, even his assistant was gone on a mission. Naruto wasn't upset at all, which shocked Kakashi. He thought he'd have to talk him into doing it, but he didn't.
Anyways, the mission ended up lasting until earlier this evening. Even though he was gone, Kakashi had Ino stay with her to help her around the house. She helped Y/N bathe in places she couldn't reach and assisted in dressing her. Ino didn't mind it at all. She was finally away from the hospital for a few days. Once he got home, Naruto thanked Ino for her hard work and took over to which she replied, "Taking care of my baby momma is never a problem!"
Since Y/N had already taken a bath and was dressed in her most comfortable nightgown and matching black bonnet, he didn't have to do much. He bathed himself and spent a few moments rubbing her sore feet and telling her about his mission. Although it was short, he had to spend most of it on his feet which really took it out of him. It didn't last too long though once he felt himself nodding off the moment he stopped talking. He helped Y/N up the stairs and into their bed before falling asleep when his head hit the pillow.
Y/N went downstairs and into the kitchen to soothe the rumbling in her belly. With a hand on her belly, she opened the fridge and immediately reached for two brand-new boxes of strawberries and pineapples. Her most recent craving was fresh fruit, so Naruto made sure they were stocked up on her favorites. She pulled the boxes out and shuffled to the living room to begin feasting.
After finishing the first box and halfway through the second, she was beginning to feel satisfaction. Once completely satisfied, she closed the boxes, placed them on the end table beside the couch, and began rubbing her belly. A flutter of kicks and punches made her giggle at the weird feeling. "Are you happy now?" She asked smiling down at her stomach.
"I can't wait to meet you and find out what you are. Your daddy and I already came up with names for you. We have one for a girl and one for a boy, but I'm not telling you until I see you." She felt a tiny kick under her hand as she continued speaking. "Your daddy loves you. Don't give him a hard time, okay? He's excited to meet you too." She sighed feeling her eyes getting heavier and heavier. She realized it would take her much longer to go up the stairs alone and decided against it. Instead, she reached for the throw beside her and called it a night on the couch. It wouldn't be the first time she got stuck down there.
Just as she got comfortable and was about to close her tired eyes, Y/N felt a presence behind her, so she turned around to see her husband standing in the arch with a tired smile. "How long have you been there?" She asked, looking back down at her belly. It seemed like the baby was finally calming down. "A few minutes." He responded, his voice deep and scratchy. He walked up behind her and placed a kiss on her cheek before grabbing the boxes of fruit and going to return them back to the fridge and throw away the empty one. When he came back, he took a seat beside his wife and smiled, placing a hand on her belly.
"Why are you up so late princess?" He asked. Y/N leaned her head on his shoulder and placed her hand on top of his as he gently rubbed her belly. "I could say the same for you love. Aren't you tired?" She asked noticing the pinkish tint in his eyes. "I am, but I rolled over and couldn't find you, so I got worried." He leaned down to give her a quick kiss. "Well, the baby was hungry and wouldn't let me sleep, so here we are." She giggled. Naruto laughed with her. It was nearly every night now that she was getting up to snack on something to feed her hungry baby. No matter how tired he was, Naruto always made the effort to keep her, and his child satisfied.
Suddenly, Y/N felt a sharp pain in her abdomen and flinched, grabbing the place where it hurt. "Ah!" She cried out making Naruto worry. "Hey, what's wrong baby?" If he weren't already awake, now he is. Her face twisted in discomfort as she tried to fight through the pain. "I-I don't know, but it hurts. I think the baby kicked me the wrong way or something." She talked through clenched teeth and squeezed his hand. After a few more seconds of sitting there, the pain began to subside, and she breathed out a sigh of relief.
"Are you sure you're okay Y/N? That didn't seem like a kick or anything, ya know." Naruto worried. He'd been there when the baby gave her a hard time and it's never been this bad. He looked at her glossy eyes and began worrying even more. "She's never cried over a kick before." He thought to himself as she reached up to dry her tears before they fell. "I think so." She looked at him and tried to her best to reassure him with a smile. However, another surge of pain hit her in the same spot causing her to cry out once more.
"Owww!" She squeezed her eyes shut and tried to think of a way to relieve the pain. "Maybe I should stand up." She groaned. Naruto wasted no time standing up and grasping her two hands before gently pulling her up. However, as soon as she stood up, Y/N felt something trickling down her leg and on to the floor. The two of them both looked down and saw the small puddle of clear liquid running on to the floor. "N-Naruto... I think my water broke." Her voice was uneasy and shaky.
Naruto's blood ran cold. "How is this possible? The baby isn't due for another three weeks!" He panicked to himself trying to understand the situation. "S-so that means it's time, right? The baby is coming right now?" His words were quick from his spiked nerves. Y/N nodded her head and doubled over in as another wave of pain, which she now realized were contractions, hit her. Seeing her in this state made Naruto realize that he needed to get their baby bag and get her to the hospital. He quickly ran up the stairs and burst into their bedroom. He frantically looked around and spotted the green bag at the foot of the bed. Grabbing it, he quickly stepped into his slippers and went back downstairs to his wife.
Y/N, still in the same position, was now crying from the pain in her vagina and abdomen. "Who knew this would hurt so fucking bad?" She thought to herself as she held on to the couch for dear life. Naruto slung the bag over his shoulder and walked over to Asami and crouched down so she could see him. "I'm going to carry you, okay? It's not that far, so it won't take long, okay?" He waited for her to answer. Asami sniffled and nodded her head. Immediately, Naruto stood up and carefully cradled her in his arms and headed to the door.
"Don't worry princess. Before ya know it, our baby will be here." He tried to reassure her. She smiled through the pain and began trying her breathing techniques Sakura went over with her as Naruto closed the door behind them.
"Here we go princess."
~~
At the hospital, Y/N was loaded on a stretcher and put into a labor and delivery room. She was undressed and put in a hospital gown due to protocol. However, she nearly killed one of the male nurses for taking her bonnet off and putting it in the bag with her nightgown. Poor man was scared to death seeing her skunk stripe glow from her starting to activate her jutsu. Naruto snatched the silk material from him and returned it back where it belonged. Although, he didn't mind seeing her head of curls all frizzy and cute.
From there, she laid in a bed hooked up to an IV to keep her hydrated while they waited for her doctor get there to check if she's ready to push. Naruto sat in the chair beside her, holding and kissing her hand as she fought through each and every contraction with the next one being worse than the last.
A knock on the door was heard before it slid open. A head full of pink hair peeked through and smiled at the two before she stepped in. "Well, I certainly wasn't expecting you when I was called in." Sakura spoke as she walked over to the nervous couple. "Hey Sakura!" Naruto grinned at her. "Hey Naruto. Are you guys excited?" She asked as she sat down in the swivel chair provided for her. Then she started going through Y/N's chart. "You know it!"
Y/N was going to answer but yelped in pain feeling another contraction. Even though Naruto panicked and tried his best to soothe her, Sakura only placed the chart down and lifted the blanket covering Asami from the waist down and stuck her head under.
This obviously wasn't her first rodeo.
From there she saw that the baby's head full of dirty blonde hair was beginning to crown. "Y/N, I need to you breathe, okay? It's time for you to push." Sakura announced.
Y/N began getting nervous. She didn't know how to feel about finally giving birth, but the pain from the contractions was more than enough to motivate her. "You can do this princess. I'll be right here the whole step of the way." Naruto entwined their fingers together and smiled at her. She turned to him, covered in sweat and nodded her head. "O-okay." She said through her labored breathing.
"You can start when you're ready." Sakura threw the blanket from over her head and Y/N's propped up legs so the process could go smoother. This left her exposed from the waist down, but she wasn't worried about it.
Another knock on the door was heard making Sakura say, "Come on in and start setting everything up." Three medical ninjas walked in with different equipment in their hands that Naruto didn't know what it was for. He looked back at his wife and decided to give her a bit of encouragement since she hadn't started pushing yet. "On three, okay?" Naruto waited for her to nod. Once she did, he began counting "One... two... three," Y/N began pushing with all her might, screaming out in pain as the baby began to move and stretch her out. She squeezed his hand as she held the push for a few seconds before quitting.
"Fuck! It hurts so bad." She cried out. Never has she ever been in this much pain. She's gotten stabbed, blown up, and everything in between. She'd rather go through that pain again than this. It felt as if multiple bones in her body were being broken at the same time. This was hell! She huffed and puffed seemingly out of breath after just one.
"Good job momma, keep pushing like that for me, okay? The baby will be out right away." Sakura encouraged. "Okay." Y/N struggled to speak through the pain. She was trying to calm her breathing, but the more she pushed, the harder it seemed to breathe. "Come on sweetheart. You got this." Naruto stood to his feet and pressed a kiss on her forehead tightening his grip on her hand. "One... two... three," Y/N screamed out, pushing with all her might, following her husband's counting. She threw her head back and held the push for as long as she could while gritting her teeth the whole time.
"Good job! Good job! You're doing amazing. The head is through! The head is through!" Sakura encouraged Y/N through her push.
Y/N let go and decided to catch her breath. "I'm so proud of you sweetheart." Naruto brushed her braids from her face and smiled down at her. She looked up at her husband through her tears whispering, "It hurts Naru." She sniffled. Naruto was quick to brush her tears away with the back of his hand. "I know, sweetheart. Hang in there for me okay? Our baby is almost here." While placing another kiss to her sweat-covered forehead, Naruto's heartfelt moment with her was short lived when Sakura spoke up once more.
"If you can hold this one, it might be the last push, okay? Can you do that for me?" Sakura looked up from her position to make eye contact with her for acknowledgement. Y/N nodded which Sakura copied for confirmation. "Yeah? Alright, one more big push!" Sakura refocused herself and let Y/N take the lead once more.
"Look at me baby, look at me." Naruto urged. When she did, Naruto began counting once more. "One... two... three...!"
Using the last bit of strength she had, Y/N cried out while unintentionally pulling herself slightly upright as she pushed. Both Naruto and Sakura encouraged her the entire way.
"Keep going sweetheart!"
"Yes, yes, yes Y/N! The baby is almost out!"
"You got this sweetheart! You got this!"
After what seemed like an eternity, Y/N felt the unbelievable amount of pressure in her vagina go away followed by the soft cries of her newborn baby. She breathed a sigh of relief and exhaustion knowing the ordeal was officially over.
"You did it, ya know." Naruto's voice wavered upon seeing the nurses clean and take care of his child. Tiredly, Y/N looked up at her sniffling husband and placed her hand on his cheek to catch his attention. Looking down at her, Naruto's heart swelled a thousand times over. It was at this very moment he really and truly felt like his life was complete.
He smiled through his tears and leaned down to kiss his exhausted wife.
As the medical team cleaned up Y/N, changed her and the bed sheets, the baby went through the process of being cleaned and documented in the Konoha Baby Book. Everything from the baby's name to a picture was input. It was only when the team was finished applying a bit of medical ninjutsu to heal her stretched lady bits that Y/N's beautiful baby was brought to them...
...in a pink swaddle!
"It's a girl!" Sakura exclaimed while holding the baby out to Y/N. With a quivering bottom lip, Y/N took her baby into her arms and began soaking everything in. Their beautiful baby girl had a head full of honey blonde hair - with Asami's signature silver skunk stripe running down the middle. The baby's skin was a nice caramel color being that Y/N was a woman of a darker skin complexion. Most importantly, three little whisker marks adorned her cutie patootie face on either cheek.
"She looks more like you than me." Y/N directed her sour tone to her husband. "What can I say," Naruto bashfully rubbed the back of his neck before continuing. "I came out looking like my dad too." She giggled and then passed the sleeping baby to her husband.
Sakura decided it would be best to leave the new parents alone for a bit. "I'll be back later you two. Make sure her name is ready to go in the Baby Book!"
~~~
Three knocks on the heavy wooden door caught Naruto's attention. His fingers were flying across the keyboard of his laptop when the noise was heard. He glanced down at the time and began to wonder who it was seeing him during this hour. His next meeting wasn't due for another few hours.
"Come in!" He called out focusing his attention on the door. Upon opening the door, he expected to see an adult of some importance greet him with a stack of papers or something. He didn't expect his mini me waddling full speed at him with her tiny little baby arms stuck out grabbing the air.
"Dada! Dada!"
His heart swelled hearing the name he's grown used to over the past two years. He immediately rose from his chair and quickly stepped around his desk to greet his baby girl. "Nami! Hey baby girl." He enveloped her in a hug before looking up to meet your adorable gaze. "Hey, sweetheart. Whacha doin' here?" He asked as her stood up securely holding his daughter in his arms.
Y/N stepped towards him, holding his gaze before leaning up on her toes for a quick kiss. "Nami tell daddy why we're here baby." She asked her subtly grabbing Naruto's hand and the two of them looked at their adorable daughter. As time passed, Nami continued to grow into her face - or should she say, Naruto's face. There was no doubt that this precious princess was Naruto's daughter. From her attitude to her appetite, she was Naruto's carbon copy. The only things distinguishing Y/N as her mother was her caramel skin, silver skunk stripe, and her brown eyes. Everything else was Naruto.
"Dada fwood!" She exclaimed pointing to the pretty yellow back slung over Y/N's shoulder. Naruto's heart swelled three times over and couldn't help the blush rising on his whiskered cheeks. He's been working nonstop in the office lately due to a few political issues at the border. It's been killing him waking up before his daughter and coming back after she's gone to bed for the past few weeks. Y/N quite literally dried his tears a few nights ago - and with that, she cried right alongside with him. So, to cheer him up, Y/N planned with their toddler to surprise him with a family lunch.
While Nami was preoccupied with toying with Naruto's cloak, he gazed down into Y/N chocolate eyes and saw his entire future within them. Everything from having a cute little puppy to becoming a grandfather. He witnessed it within her eyes. Just as he did before he closed them to capture her lips in their first kiss as a married couple.
"I love you so much princess."
"I love you too Naru."
WHERE OUR BLUE IS
S2 : Chapter 1 - Perfect pair ☆
༄ ༄ ༄
A heavy breath escaped my mouth as we wandered through the ruins of an abandoned school. Gojo had woken us up in the early hours to go on this mission, so I was lacking sleep. I tried to keep my eyes open as we roamed the hallways, ominous, uncanny. I could hear the sound of our footsteps bouncing off the empty walls. Each floor board creaked as I stepped, keeping me on edge. The dark cast from the veil placed by Mr Ijichi only made my senses heighten; in this case, this may have been for the better. The place smelt unkept, as expected, but i also sensed cursed energy residuals, unlikely to come from a cursed spirit. It was gloomy, sombre, each hallway looking like an eternal pathway into darkness. I was scared. We came to an abrupt stop as he put his arm in front of me, causing me to wake up completely.
"There's a high concentration of cursed energy here." He stated as I looked up at his face. " Be careful. This could potentially be a special grade or a first grade at least."
I prepared myself, my cursed energy pumping through every vein in my body.
Just last month, I had moved here, and at that moment, it felt like I had been here my whole life. The seasons had started to change, meaning that it got hotter as summer approached. A sweat broke from my forehead as both anxiety and humidity attacked my body.
He opened the classroom door as an abnormally shaped curse greeted us.
"Do...you...want to play...?" the curse cried, its agony evident in its voice. It's emerald skin contracted and relaxed vigorously, as if it were a beating heart. It began to move from its original position. I grounded myself, ready for its attack.
"Demon dogs!" He called out, a black dog spawning from the shadows. The dog ran toward the curse, attacking it instantly.
The cursed spirit took no damage, its offensive hit in retaliation caused the demon dog to howl.
"Nue!" He called, the bird swooping in, sending an electric pulse to the curse. It was immobilised, which gave me a chance to attack. I ran in, the word "Configuration," leaving my lips. A katana appeared in my right hand, the metal atoms used being extracted from the unused lockers. I swung at the spirit as it regained its consciousness. I was swooped to the ground with ease, my hit amiss. My head pounded as I realised I had hit it on the edge of a desk. As the blood seeped out, Fushiguro attempted to come over to me. He ran straight into the grasping hands of the cursed spirit. I sat there, slightly defeated as the curse picked him up and threw him out of the window. My eyes grew bigger as my heartbeat stopped. I froze. Everything froze.
We were on the third floor of this building. The speed in which the spirit tossed Fushiguro was unmatched by Nue, causing him to hit the ground with great force.
My breath hitched as I struggled to my feet. I felt enraged. Without a second thought, I timed my jump, throwing myself out of the window, my katana in hand. I landed on the back of the cursed spirit, stabbing my sword into it, exorcising it immediately. As the purple liquid poured onto the floor, I ran to Fushiguro to check if he was okay. Blood spurted from his mouth as he let out a whisper.
"I'm fine." He spoke ever so softly. I put on my hand over his chest as I activated my cursed technique. I was able to see the atomic structure of his body. Although no fatal damage had occurred, he was in no condition to continue fighting.
"No, you're not." I looked him in his eyes, infatuated by the blue hue. My feelings for him had only grown since the day we met. Thankfully, I was good at keeping them hidden - for the most part. In moments like this, when we were alone, surrounded by nothing but the sounds of the world, it felt as if I were on another planet. My heart ached, longing, wrenching, hoping that we could stay like this forever. My eyes never left his as I put his arm over my shoulder. I helped him to stand, smiling as I did.
"Let's go. I'll take you to Ieiri." I placed my hand in my fanny-pack, reaching for a token to create a portal. My fingers spread apart, my left arm outstretched with my palm facing the ground. The portal opened as I helped Fushiguro step into it. We ended up outside of the veil, met by Mr Ijichi, who drove us back to campus.
Reactions to Tsunami Creator's Chapter 186
TL;DR - Cale orders GED ships to get out of the sea. Blood Demon scares Raon. Blood Demon's pseudo-Dragon Fear versus Cale's Dominating Aura.
Aipotu's Trap
Okay, so removing the core from the array formation activated some sort of trap prepared by the Aipotu dragons. What that trap is remains to be seen. The "crying" word was used again, but I'm slowly getting convinced that it was just something poetic, like "the sky is crying" and not the cries of some being.
Blood Demon's Pseudo-Dragon Fear
Cale headed back after entrusting the priestesses to Fist King. And the moment they met Blood Demon, Raon curls up with his wings in fear! 😮 Oh dear... Cale immediately hugs and strokes Raon to soothe him, feeling angry that something made Raon scared. Raon eventually recovers from it, but still hides behind Cale.
And then we get a battle between the pseudo Dragon Fear and DA. Of course, our DA easily wins! He even says "I haven't tried my best yet?" 🤣🤣🤣 Blood Demon experienced fear for the first time. It was also funny how she and DA were like having a bluffing competition. And Blood Demon's thought of "That skinny man is a monster." 😂
So why is it pseudo Dragon Fear? It was explained that Blood Demon had killed hundreds of thousands of people, and their life energy was what everyone felt scared of. And Blood Demon used that to imitate a dragon. The Blue Bloods owed the Purple Bloods because of that core, but she had plans to rebel and kill the dragons too. I guess she didn't like that the Blue Bloods were "subordinate" to the Purple Bloods?
Ending Remarks
It seems like the battle against Blood Demon will be concluded next chapter. CH and Sui looked exhausted, but they were still ready to fight. As for CJS, he got blasted away by Blood Demon. AGAIN. Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣
And RIDI released the ebooks of volumes 6-9 today, spanning chapters 118-200 of Part 1. It costs 12,960 won again like last time, of course, with the limited time discounts.
With this, the eBooks have already surpassed the physical books published years ago. There aren't any freebies this time like the exclusive author Q&A. Just wallpaper images of Cale and CH that you can download. Those images are the images in the posters that were released together with the physical books, so it's nothing new.
As for the next volumes, perhaps we can expect them next month. The first set of eBooks was released on August 21, and the second set was released today, September 15, with a 3 and a half weeks difference. So we can expect the third set around the 2nd to 3rd weeks of October.
Omg, i'm srory, I just accidentally hit the submit button, and now you have an incomplete comment in the inbox HDJKASXK
Anyway, I'll be quick. First, thank you very much for sharing This is an Adjuration with us, it is truly AMAZING. It was a wild experience to see how the dots were connecting, especially the Ravio parts. I can't even imagine how long it took you to come up with everything.
Second, I thank Skip, for all his hard work as a Beta. Sometimes it is not easy to find the time to read
Third, I will be waiting for the continuation of the series, I couldn't help but buzz with excitement when I saw that they could or couldn't save everyone with the triforce.
fourth, HOW COULD YOU AAAaa When Red died, I was so surprised that I read it three times HDSJKjk, when the captain died I went blank (I cried), when Twi died my face was D: then violet died but he revived and everything was fine, 'ND THEN YOU DECIDED TO KILL HYRULE WAT
And I loved it. It's rare to see fics that dare to kill their characters, seeing a lu fic like that was so good. The multiple loops happening simultaneously was beautiful, I loved seeing our two manipulative gremlins (Ravio and Vio) because they were actually using the entire situation to their advantage while lying to everyone's faces.
The warriors plot hurt me a lot, every time they came back more and more years passed, god. And yet, I think you interpreted him very well. That game is so crazy that taking it seriously leaves you with very broken characters.
And lastly, I wanted to mention how absolutely beautiful the relationship between the entire chain was. A true family, a pack of links. Thanks for the fic, really.
So it took me literally months to answer this, let’s not talk about that. Heh. Hehe. Anyway!
First, no thank you for reading! And telling me about reading! It makes me very happy to know that my work means something. Makes it feel like it’s worth it. Or something. Idk.
Second, @needfantasticstories HEY SKIPPY GET LOVED ON BITCH (affectionate)
Third, the Epilogues are kicking my ass, but we will persevere! More soon! Allegedly! I hope! And yeah, it really mattered to me that actions were permanent, and that magic couldn’t fix everything. Because the themes.
Fourth, IM SORRY OKAY I HAD TO FOR THE PLOT! OH CAPTAIN MY CAPTAIN I DID YOU SO BAD FORGIVE ME BABYGIRL!
Shout out to the Purple Plot, indeed. Love me a manipulative bitch. Love me a caddy gay. Love me someone who lies to your face and helps you behind your back. Go Vio and Ravi go! Emotionally manipulate your lovers into maintaining the space time continuum against their own will. Good work boys.
The Wars plot. Oh Hylia, the Wars plot. *head in hands emoji* Would you believe me if I tood you that most if that got scrapped for time? There was more. A lot more. I regrett cutting it. But good to know that what I left in still hit the mark.
Thank you. Thank youuuu!!!! 💜💜💜
Give You All
A/N: Female reader
Day 5: Collaring
Word count: 1351
Warnings: injury
AO3 Kinktober Masterlist
A tightness in your chest had long since formed. Not a bad one; sure there was a level of nervousness to it; but your heart truly swelled with excitement. Gustave had seated you at the end of your shared bed directly in front of the large mirror that was a centerpiece for the wall. He had been gone for the room for a decent amount of time but you didn't mind. Patience was always rewarded, he always liked patience.
You were already dressed up in a long back dress. The pair of you had dinner plans. A celebration. You could still recall the first time you had asked him. The shock on his face was one that had eventually twisted into contemplation. The second time you had asked him he went into more depth about what it meant for you, for what he expected. Then the third time you brought it up? It had been after a long and tiring mission.
It wasn't often that Viperstrike was teamed up with Wolfguard. Normally they opted to work with Ghosteyes or Redhammer but for this assignment they had done just that. It wasn't often you were under Gustave's direct command but that day you were.
There had been a young girl who had been trapped with you in a partially collapsed building. The destruction had been severe and you knew right away it would take them a while to get them out. Luckily for you, communications had been up.
"She's wounded badly and bleeding. She got shot in the right lower abdomen. Shrapnel is embedded in her upper shoulder." Rumble threatened to move around the pair of you. "We can't stay here or else we will get crushed but I have to take out the shrapnel or else I can't move her. Doing so will-"
"Make her bleed more. Yes, do you have anything that can cauterize the wound?"
"A flare."
"It would hurt but it may save her life." Gustave breathed through your ear. "Remember to walk her through as you do things."
"I'm going to remove this okay? Then I'm going to pick you up and take us over there." You smiled at the girl and she only winced in pain but gave you a small nod. With a grunt you pulled the shrapnel free and immediately blood covered your hands. You wasted no time in picking her up and moving the pair of you to the more stable side of the room.
"I need to stop your bleeding." You found the flare and cracked it on. Red mist filled the air with the flame at the end. "This is going to hurt but I need you to be brave for me- this will stop your bleeding okay?" You placed the sparking end against her skin and she cried out. It was a cry that you hadn't ever heard before. A tortured old curling scream that shook you to your very core. Her small hands clawed into the side of your gear but you didn't stop- not until her flesh melted together and she dropped limp and passed out from pain.
"She fell unconscious." You swallowed.
"For the better. Tell me about the bullet wound." You placed the flare to the side and used your torch to flash into it.
"Hard to see, I think it's stopped bleeding as much but it's lodged in there. It's not high caliber, I think it's in one piece."
"Do you have tweezers?"
"Got a knife."
"Is it deep?"
"No. I can dig it out."
"Be careful." With a deep breath you managed to extract the bullet and bandage it up. Unlike the shrapnel wound, this one was far smaller and already started to clot byself.
It took them hours to get the pair of you out but still her screams echoed in your mind afterwards. In the safety of his dorm room he held you from behind. Your head rolled back against his shoulder and neck. That's when you had asked him for the third time. For him to take control.
"One more time. When you're not in this state. Ask me again." He'd whispered. So you did, a month later you asked him. Now a couple of weeks later this night had been one the pair of you had long since discussed.
The door to the room creaked open and you were snapped out of your thoughts. Your posture was almost painfully straight. Gustave had a black wooden box in his hand. He had dressed up as well, a classic black pair of dress pants and a white shirt that had the top couple of buttons open. They exposed a small amount of his chest hair.
Your breath hitched when he came and knelt down on the ground before you and placed the box in your lap. "You're still sure you wish to go through this?" His eyes searched yours for any doubt and you nodded. "You would give all power over to me. He took your hand in his and pressed his lips against the palm.
"Some people reward their partner with this when they believe they have grown but the first thing that came to my mind was 'How could I ever say no?' You are a remarkable woman who does everything for what she believes is right." He kissed the hand again before he directed it to the box.
"Open it." His voice was but a whisper but you could hear the smile in his voice. You could see the excitement behind his eyes.
Slowly you clicked the latch open and revealed the contents. Inside held two pieces. One was a simple thin metal chain which held a single gem at the end. Your eyes flashed up to Gustave's. "Platinum white lab grown white sapphire. Beautiful and ethical." His eyes hooded down. "Like you." Your mouth opened and you gave him a light shove at his cheesy remark and he laughed.
Next to it was a watch. Your eyes went down to it and he followed. "In our line of work jewelry isn't permitted but we are allowed to keep a watch on." Inside held a rather simple Seiko watch. It has a black breathable band and an analogue clock face. "When we are off duty I'd like you to wear the necklace. As much as I'd like to say 'only I can touch and remove it' I know that is not realistic." He placed a kiss on your knuckles. "So I will stay when I'm around. I'd like to be the one that removes and puts it on. Okay?"
You nodded at this and a smile broke out on his face. He pressed another kiss on your hand before he let go and rose to his feet. The bed dipped behind you and you felt his presence before he leaned over. Gustave picked the necklace and brought it up to your neck before he latched it together. The pair of you stared at each other through the mirror.
Gustave's hand graced the necklace, his rough hands mesmerized by it on you. Yet it wasn't the beauty of it that had him taken but the meaning. Slowly his hand brushed up against your throat. It continued until he cupped your check and directed your face to the side where he met you halfway.
With a familiar gentleness his lips pressed against yours. Those feelings deep inside rushed out and you lurched forwards. Desperate to be in his arms you pressed against him and he chuckled and pulled away. Just so your lips were barely touching, he clicked his tongue. He wasn't like this very often, normally so tired from work and mentally drained it was nice to hear that sound.
"Behave for me darling. We still have dinner plans, no?"
"We can cancel." You leaned towards him but he pulled away.
"Not this time. But I promise you-" His lips pressed against yours in a slow but open mouth kiss. His forehead pressed against yours as he got off the bed. "-We will have plenty of time afterwards to play."
SERIES MASTERLIST
Exhausted from his day, Jeongin finally got home. Walking to the elevator, he met with Hyunjin, the boy who lived in the apartment above his dorm.
"Hi." he smiled and joined his friend inside the metal box.
"Hey." he smiled back. "Done with work?"
"Yeah." Jeongin exhaled. "It was a long shift, but I had more customers coming in so not as bad as usual. And you?"
Hyunjin sighed in exhaustion as he shook his head. "My day was shitty. I've been watching Hyunjoo since the beginning of the semester just to be sure she's doing okay."
Jeongin had heard about the pretty freshman. Her and Hyunjin were the talk of the school since they were undeniably the perfect duo of siblings. Both were attractive, talented, smart, insanely sweet and more. While most guys would be seeking for her attention, Jeongin had left her be each time he would cross paths with her. He was too busy to be ogling some pretty girl, let alone his friend's sister.
The elevator came up to his level, so he left Hyunjin alone and went to his dorm. Opening the door, he smelled a horrid odor coming from Jisung's room. Coughing, he knocked aggressively on his door and the sweet Hwayoung answered instead.
"You're here again?" Jeongin asked, in a ruder tone than initially intended.
"Yeah, I brought kimchi with some jjajamyeon and fried chiicken." the girl smiled awkwardly.
"Smells like shit." he said under his breath before looking at Jisung behind her. "Dude, we talked about this. We cleaned this morning!"
"I swear I'll clean up the trash after!" Jisung hurried to response before closing back the door.
Hwayoung and Jisung were one heck of a duo too. While she was much more responsible than him, they were equally messy. Jeongin was not. He did not mind Jisung's room being disorganized, as long as he would help around the apartment. For that, he had to force him quite a bit. The only thing Jeongin didn't mind doing for the both of them was the laundry. First, it allowed him to get away from his friend who could be a lot to handle. Second, he liked chatting with Byeol, another student living in the same building. Third, it allowed him to see a freshman girl he thought was the prettiest he had ever seen. She might be the reason on why he didn't think of Hyunjoo as that attractive.
So, that day was no different than any other day. As he heard laughter coming from his roommate's room, he gathered his clothes and the ones that were laying around the living room. With that, he left to head to the laundry room. Byeol was already there when he arrived, looking at her phone as she waited next to the dryer.
"Hey, Innie." she greeted, her eyes still stuck on her phone.
"You're here early." he frowned, since he thought she had class at this time.
"I'm skipping today. I was not in the mood to fall asleep in my three hours class."
He nodded as he started to load the machine. She kept silence until he was done.
"Have you seen Hyunjin earlier?" the girl asked.
"We talked a little bit, yes. Why?"
She shrugged and looked back to her phone. "Nothing."
Jeongin rolled his eyes at her. It wasn't the first time she asked him about the tall man and it probably wouldn't be the last. He was about to respond, until his attention was taken away by the door opening. Just then, he exchanged glances with you.
And you simply froze, eyes wide open. Byeol looked back and forth between the two of you, but you didn't pay attention to her. Yang Jeongin was staring at you, this was enough to make you forget about your surroundings. Byeol ended up bumping her sides to Jeongin and he broke eye contact with you. She waved at you kindly and you gave her a weak smile before walking to the furthest washing machine from them.
"Is she new?" Byeol asked Jeongin in a whisper.
"No, I've seen her around. I think she's in my gym class but I'm not sure."
"She's cute." she said as she wiggled her eyebrows at him.
"So is Hyunjin." he smiled widely and her teasing grin dropped immediately.
"You're an ass."
"So are you!" he shot back.
The beep of her drying machine went off. She sent a glare to him as she took her clothes back.
"See you around, Yang." she waved at him.
"What?" he said in panic.
"What?"
"You're leaving me with her?"
She glanced at you. You were reading what seemed to be a school book as you sat on the ground, your back on the wall.
"Don't be shy, she seems nice. Besides, I have other things to do." Byeol pointed out.
He huffed. "Like watching your drama again?"
She ignored his comment. "See you later."
And then she left, leaving the man alone with you. You wanted to run away back in the comfort of your room, but your roommate, Sora, had invited her friend over and you weren't going to feel any better there.
"Hi." Jeongin suddenly spoke and you realized he was now standing next to you.
As you were still sitting on the ground, you looked up at him and your face became red. "H-hi." you managed to stammer out.
"I'm Yang Jeongin, I live on the second floor. How about you?"
His smile was too adorable for his own good. His eyes disappearing while dimples suddenly popped up on his cheeks, you found him so attractive. Getting up on your feet, you bowed slightly out of politeness.
"Y/N. First floor."
"Nice! What is your program?"
A good-looking man talking to you in the first week of school? That was already too much for you. Mumbling a quick sorry, you took off and left the room, heading straight to your dorm. Closing the door behind you, you found Sora and Chan chatting about whatever while you were out of breath. The girl had been understanding about your social issues so she immediately got up from her bed to check up on you.
"What happened? Do I need to beat someone up?"
"Woah, no one is beating anybody up." Chan exclaimed in panic from her friend's words. "Y/N, are you okay?"
"Someone talked to me." you said almost in a whisper.
"Were they rude? Mean? Insisting on something?" Sora asked in a worried tone. You shook your head as a no. "Just your social anxiety then?"
You nodded. "I'm sorry I worried you."
"Don't be sorry, I understand. Do you want me to get the laundry for you?"
"And I can leave if that helps." Chan offered.
With a small nod, they left your place together leaving you alone. You exhaled loudly in relief and buried yourself in your bed. This fear of people had to go away and frankly, you had nothing to be scared of. However, as you kept repeating yourself that, the image of your small figure walking in your high school hallways remerged. Yeah, maybe not now. This was something you could work on later.
Unfortunately, Jeongin didn't know about your... problem. He saw Chan and Sora come back to fetch the clothes you had previously left behind but you weren't there with them. He brought his things back to his dorm, trying his best to ignore his loud roommate laughing his ass off with Hwayoung, and went to his room.
Dialing a number on his phone, he waited for the other person to answer.
"Innie?"
"I scared her off."
"What do you mean you scared her off? Who are you talking about?"
"The cute girl I've been telling you about."
Seungmin laughed from the other end of the line. "Good going."
"No but I don't get why. I didn't say anything other than ask her name and what was her program."
"You have a scary face though."
"Dude, I was smiling the entire time."
"Well, you got her name at least. What is it?"
"Y/N."
"Ah, Y/N! She's a regular at the café."
Jeongin rolled his eyes even if Seungmin couldn't see. "Everyone on campus is a regular at the café."
"Right." he laughed. "She's very shy from what I've seen."
"So I've noticed."
"Don't overthink about it, I'm sure she just isn't used to cute boys like you asking her out."
"I wasn't asking her out and by the way you're talking about me, looks like you'd be the one who wants to date me."
"So much to cheer a friend up."
Jeongin chuckled. "Alright, thank you. I'll see you tomorrow morning?"
"Got your coffee prepared already."
"Hi, Y/N!"
You jumped in surprise from the sudden voice. Looking around you, your eyes landed on Jeongin running to join you at your locker. Your breath cut short for an instant as he waved at you with a cute smile forming on his lips. You bowed lightly to greet him back but your sweaty palms were a sign you were very much not put together.
"I wanted to apologize for the other day. I was only trying to be a nice neighbour and I didn't mean to scare you."
Poor him. You couldn't help but feel the guilt take over you as you listened to his much useless apology. He didn't need to be sorry, you were the one at fault.
"It's fine." you replied in a small voice. "I need to go, sorry."
And you left again, closing your locker shut in one move before speed walking towards your next class.
Jeongin frowned as he watched your back. Was he doing something wrong? Sure, he wasn't that good with making friends but he did think he was nice enough with you. Trying to not question himself, he ran out of the school building to go start his shift at the local convenience store. His boss asked him to come in last minute to train a new worker and being the perfect freshman student he liked to present himself as – albeit not being anything close to the truth – he agreed immediately.
Walking in, he spotted a girl standing awkwardly behind the counter. She looked not much older than him but he could tell she wasn't his age.
"You must be Eunhee?" he asked which grabbed the girl's attention.
"Yes, that's me." she laughed in awkwardness. "And you must be Jeongin?"
"That's right! I'll be in charge of your training."
The first few hours consisted of Jeongin showing around the store and explaining a few tasks to Eunhee. Not wanting to put her on the spot on her first day, he let her unpack the boxes of new products to fill in the aisles while he stayed at the cash to serve customers.
"Changbin!" he called out to the man who was about to step out of the store. "Don't forget to ask Chan to come this time."
Changbin left with a laugh and this caught Eunhee's attention. She abandoned her cardboard boxes and went to join Jeongin.
"You've know the last five customers' names, how?"
He shrugged. "I've worked here since last semester, I recognize a few people. And I'm friends with some popular guys so I get to know many other students."
She nodded her head slowly. "And I just heard that you know Chan?"
He gave her a knowing look as he wiggled his eyebrows at her. "Are you interested in him?"
"What?" she immediately spilled out in defense. "No, I just bumped into him a few times, that's all!"
Jeongin continued to tease her. However, it didn't last long as she went to the back of the store to complete other chores. And just then, the bell rang which indicated that a new client had walked in and the man couldn't do much more than freeze in place. There you were, standing at the entrance as you looked around with lost eyes. Jeongin really started to wonder why you always seemed so scared, but then again, he was afraid himself to ask.
"Hello!" he welcomed you kindly.
Taken aback, you crisped as soon as you saw there was somebody staring at you. It didn't help that it was Jeongin, with whom you seemed to be encountering a lot lately. You bowed rapidly and ran behind an aisle to hide. You had two options : either you buy something quickly and leave or you leave the store right away even though you had just stepped in. Concluding that the second option would be even more embarrassing, you hurried to pick out random instant ramen cups with a few other snacks before dropping them all in front of Jeongin. He eyed your items for a moment and then started to scan them. You were growing anxious whether he was judging you for the amount of food you were getting for yourself or not.
"I like these too." he chuckled as he scanned your strawberry milk. "Good choice."
"Thanks." you mumbled.
He gave you a warm smile and went on with his task. Although you hadn't been the best classmate, he still remained extremely nice to you. It wouldn't hurt trying to open up a little, no?
"I'm in healthcare, by the way. You know, what you asked me the other day..." you trailed off, unsure if you were being weird or not.
His head shot up right away as you spoke. Was he dreaming? Were you really the one initiating the conversation?
"That's great! What year?"
"Freshman."
He grinned. "Just like me! I'm in specialized education."
Your mouth formed an 'o' shape as you nodded your head slowly. "That's fun."
"Yeah."
And the conversation was cut short as you paid for your things and left with a small wave directed to him. You didn't wait to see if he waved back as you ran to your dorm to barricade yourself once again. To your luck, Sora wasn't home yet so you had the place for yourself. You were proud to have been able to chat more than what you thought to be capable of, but the loud banging in your torso couldn't be ignored. You were still insanely anxious and you hated it.
Walking to your nightstand, you opened the bottom drawer and took out a photo album out of it. You hadn't opened it in years and it was your aunt who insisted on you taking it with you. With a deep breath, you opened the first page and analyzed the figures of your parents holding you as a baby. They seemed loving in the image but you knew it was nothing more than a show they put on.
You flipped the page and then came upon a picture of your first day in kindergarten. While the smile on your face couldn't be wider, the bruise on your leg was so evident. The way your father held onto your hand would look normal if it wasn't for your fingers turning red from being crushed.
Next photo was of you with your neighbour that was slightly older than you. It looked like you were friends but it was far from the truth. He was your first bully and had picked on you for years until you finally convinced your parents to change schools. And then your experience in high school...
"I'm home~"
You jumped at the voice and close the album in a swift motion before hiding it under your pillow. Sora looked at you curiously until it changed to her nagging face.
"Y/N, I thought we agreed to look at it together when you feel ready."
"Sorry." you murmured.
Her shoulders dropped. "Don't be, it's alright. I just don't want you to react strongly to it without having anyone around in case you need help."
"I'll wait next time, I promise."
"Good." she nodded, reassured.
A couple of weeks passed and you were discouraged to realize your semester might be even harder than the previous one, but that was on you for choosing to work in healthcare. Luckily for you, the lack of social interactions did help in focusing on your studies.
Yet, it didn't please your flatmate to see you submerged in your school books. Being the great friend that she was, she begged you to come eat with her for your lunch break.
So, here you were... In a crowded cafeteria, following Sora like a puppy while she laughed along with Chan. More focused on trying to not spill anything from your tray, you didn't participate in their conversation until you heard your name being mentioned.
"Y/N can do that." Chan said.
Confused, you looked at Sora for an explanation. "What?"
"Nevermind." she shrugged it off.
Chan nudged her and pointed to somewhere among the tables. "Hey, Sora, look. We should join them."
As you realized he pointed towards Jeongin who was sitting with a girl, your body stiffened. "I don't think we should do that." you said in a small voice.
"I thought you knew Jeongin and got along with him well." Chan frowned.
"We don't want to impose ourselves." Sora tried to back you up, well, you thought that was what she was doing.
"It can't be too bad. Plus, Eunhee is very easygoing. Let's go."
You really didn't want to go but seeing that there was nothing Sora could do to change Chan's mind (and you were definitely not going to try to protest), you followed along. You came face to face with Jeongin and had the courage to greet him with a small 'hey' before Chan asked them if you could join.
"I haven't seen you around much these days." Jeongin said to the older guy.
He munched on his rice before speaking. "Meetings and work... I can barely keep up with my own life to be honest. Student council is harder this semester. I believe it is because of the amount of new exchange students we got."
Jeongin nodded. "Well, as long as your grades are fine, I guess."
“Which makes me think of..." he started and turned to Eunhee. "I talked with Mrs. Ko.”
“About?” the girl asked in confusion.
“About you.”
She choked on her food and Jeongin was quick to pat her back to soothe her. Your gaze drifted away from the scene, not wanting to interrupt what seemed to be a personal moment between them.
“What do you mean, me? What did I do?” she asked after calming down.
Chan laughed nervously. “She asked me if I’d be interested in tutoring you.
The two other girls started to laugh which grabbed your attention again, meeting eyes with Jeongin in the process. His face was as red as yours and it did reassure you in some way.
"What’s funny?” Chan turned to the two of you.
“I mean, do you even have time to tutor? You barely have any time for the guys and I.” Jeongin answered before looking back at you.
You tried really hard to look away but the sweet smile he had could not be ignored. Luckily, Sora came to your rescue, consciously or not, as she asked about some random things. He coughed to break the weird ambiance and continued to eat in silence, leaving you to chat with your friend.
There was a reason why you preferred to eat alone with Sora, and Jeongin was the proof on why so.
Jeongin let out a long exhale as he stepped on, yet again, another one of roommate's socks. He didn't even know why he bothered trying with Jisung anymore, it always ended the same. He let out grumbles as he picked them up and threw them in his basket. Hearing Hwayoung let out giggles from the other room, he closed his eyes shut in annoyance. He liked both of his friends, but dear God, they were something.
Walking down the stairs, he got to the laundry room where no one had started to use them yet. Good, Jeongin deserved a break. Loading up the machine, he turned on some music on his phone as he wasn't going to bother anyone. He whistled to the melodies peacefully and quickly put everything in the washer. He had previously done a load of black clothes so he moved these to the dryer, still humming happily to his music. As he was about to settle on a chair to wait, he heard another sound that didn't seem to be coming out of his phone nor his own mouth. Pausing the song, he furrowed his eyebrows in concentration, trying hard to figure out what this noise was about.
A small whimper was all it took for him to realize someone else was in the room. Not only that, they were crying.
You were crying.
Shit, did he scare you again? Carefully, he followed your sobs and easily spotted you sitting on the floor, leaning on one of the machines. You were curled in a ball and your face was buried in your knees. Though he couldn't see your face, he knew this was probably a sight you didn't want people to see. He could have easily left you alone but something in him told him to check on you.
"Hey." he said softly as he crouched down to be at your level.
Your body froze. You thought you were alone, you made sure you were alone. Well, crying in a common area wasn't your best idea either.
"Hey." you mumbled before another sob took over in your throat.
He immediately scooted closer and rubbed your arm. He let you cry a couple of seconds more until he asked "It's silly to ask but are you alright? Do you need anything?"
Thinking for a second, you ended shaking your head as a no. "I'm not fine but I will be."
He wasn't convinced at all. Standing up, he walked towards the door. You, of course, thought that he didn't want to waste his time on you and that he was leaving. But what he did next surprised you. Taking a key out of his pocket, he locked the door and came back to sit next to you. You looked at him curiously, tears still streaming down your cheeks.
"I figured me seeing you like this is embarrassing enough, so..." he explained shyly. "If you want me to leave it's totally-"
You allowed yourself to smile a little. "I could use some company."
He nodded slowly. "If you don't mind me asking, what is it? I'm a good listener, you know?"
"Nothing much, my father reached out to me, that's all."
You surprised yourself by even telling him this brief piece of information. He seemed to appreciate your trust as he hummed for you to continue. You weren't certain if you were supposed to say anything to him. He was still a stranger to you, but a damn attractive one. And from the past interactions you'd had with him, he was nothing but a sweetheart. Having one more person to lean on other than Sora wouldn't hurt.
"I haven't had the best childhood, let's say. I was... rounder than I am now so I got picked on as a child. I did lose a lot of weight in high school but it was apparently too much because I was mocked for having the skin to the bone... And my parents were never the best to me so-"
You coughed on your own words, not being able to finish your sentence. He didn't try to make you speak more and gave you a empathic look. He hesitantly pulled you closer to him. While this took you by surprise, it felt so comforting. Still shy, you snuggled a little into him, your cries eventually toning down.
"Has it stopped?"
The whisper from his part startled you but you couldn't ignore the care you heard from his tone. Hesitantly, you nodded your head.
"Then, why are you crying now if things are better?"
You bit your upper lip as you looked away from his direction. "It's not that..."
The silence after that was all it took for him to get that you have shared enough. He allowed himself to scoot closer and turn your face to his with his hand. You body tensed again but for different reasons this time. You never noticed how good-looking he was. Well, you did, but you had a good close up to his features now. You gulped out of nervousness.
Just as you started to think you had been staring at each other for a bit too long, a loud ring came from the dryers. Jeongin backed away with a cough and stood up to check what it was.
"I assume this is your machine?" he said as he stopped in front of the dryer you had previously loaded.
You joined him and thanked him before starting to fold your clothes, putting them back in your basket. You hurried to do so as you still felt his eyes on you. Clumsily, you bowed to him while muttering out a "thank you for earlier" and rushes to the door.
Jeongin chuckled upon seeing your struggle to open a locked door. "Here." he said before coming to unlock it.
"Right." you laughed awkwardly before stepping outside.
"Wait." he called out before you were completely out the room. "If you need someone to listen or to hang out with, I'm only a floor above your place."
You sent him a smile. "I'll consider it."
And you left.
Minho repeatedly threw his grapes up in the air before they lended in his mouth. He munched happily while Sora was laughing her ass off, a little too much in your opinion.
"Y/N, your turn." he said with a mischievous smile as he held up a grape.
You didn't mind Sora having a new friend, but you surely would have preferred to have Chan around. Minho was fun but could be a bit much for you. And considering the repeated calls you were getting from your dad for the past few weeks, you would have been more at ease with only Sora around.
"No." you shook your head to his offer and he sighed.
"Come on, Sora did it. Your turn."
"No."
He gave a look to your friend and she shrugged. "She doesn't want to, it's fine."
He pouted but was quick to be distracted by Sora holding his hand. The dynamic between them was so weird, you felt like you weren't supposed to be there. She assured you he was only a friend but the way they looked at each other told you otherwise.
Discreetly, you took your tray and went to find another place to eat alone. The time being the common break, there was little to no space available for you. Since Sora was that busy with her not-boyfriend, you took the sandwich with the fruit punch juice box and left your tray next to the trash bin before heading outside. There were still chances that the café was filled but at least there was going to be less people, less noise.
Walking in, you were immediately greeted by Seungmin's hand wave. He was already chatting with a girl so you didn't interrupt them. Scanning the place, you saw Chan who was studying with Eunhee and, a bit further, you spotted Jeongin. His eyes focused on his screen, he frowned as he continued to type on the keyboard. Your feet already were moving towards him before you could even think and you found yourself standing in front of him. Having his earbuds plugged in, he didn't hear you but you still allowed yourself to sit at the chair opposite to him. That's when he finally realized there was someone joining him.
He blinked a few times before taking out one earphone. "Hi?" he said, sounding more like a question than anything.
"There was no place left and I figured you wouldn't mind if I sat here."
"Of course I don't mind." he confirmed. "Aren't you with Sora?"
"She was with Minho and we both know how they have been recently."
He nodded his head slowly, still confused by your presence. "And your next option was me?"
You shrugged because you weren't even sure yourself on why you walked to him. Again, your body moved by itself.
Jeongin offered to get you something to drink but you refused, telling him to focus on his school work instead. Still, a couple of minutes later, Seungmin came with two coffees. It was his break and he was originally going to drink one and give the other to Jeongin but seeing you with his friend, he gave up his drink to give it to you. Although you argued with him to keep it, you gave in because why would you say no to coffee.
"I think I deserve a break from this." Jeongin exhaled as he shut his laptop closed. "I've been working on this paper for hours."
"What is it about?" you asked.
"The teacher gave us an example of a situation we could potentially encounter when working with children with special needs and we have to explain how we'd react and interact with them."
"Fun." you commented before taking a sip of your drink.
He let out a chuckle. "Not so much. How about you? Healthcare must be demanding."
"We have a week or so before the finals start so it's okay for now. I don't have much to do other than studying, anyway."
"I see."
There was then a comfortable silence settled between you two. As you finished your drinks, you both opened your computers and studied for the next hour or so. Glancing at each other a couple of times, it was nice, For the first time, you felt like you didn't feel like you absolutely needed Sora around to be calm. This was a good thing with her being busy with Minho. Plus, it couldn't hurt to have a friend other than her.
"I have a shift in ten minutes." Jeongin said as he started to put his things in his bag.
"At the convenience store?"
"Yeah, I'm starting to be broke from how many drinks I pay for here." he let out a laugh. "This was nice, by the way."
You smiled. "It was. We can do it again another time."
"Sure. Uh, can I have your number? Not in a weird way, of course. Only so we can contact each other if needed."
You blushed a little but still gave him your number and he gave you his.
"Have fun at work." you said as he was getting up.
"Thank you." he smiled widely.
You watched him get out of the shop and sighed loudly. You were proud of yourself. Most importantly, you really liked the boy. As a person, of course.
"You'll come, right?"
You hummed, not even having heard what Jeongin asked you. The next weeks since that day at the coffee shopp were mostly the two of you studying together, sometimes walking back to your dorms together. Other times, you'd meet at the laundromat or at his job to chat some more. This time, since summer was nearing, you went outside so he could hang his sheets to dry while you sat on a bench to read and study.
"Y/N, you're not listening." he sighed.
You hummed again. "Yeah, yeah."
He gave up on hanging the blanket and came to sit with you. "You're stressed about the exam, aren't you?"
He wasn't totally wrong. You had been anxious about it for days now, but you had also answered one of your father's calls by accident the day prior, causing your mind to drift away. That forced you to actually speak with him and let's say it didn't go very smoothly. Having left your parents to live with your aunt instead, they separated and your mother moved far from the family home. That might have made your dad realize how abusive he was towards you and your mother as he had nothing left but it didn't mean he automatically stopped being so. The call was short but harsh. He wanted you back home, but you said you would never go live with him again.
"Y/N?"
"What?" you said as you finally woke up from whatever haze you were in.
"Are you alright? You've been a bit off since we got here."
You shook your head. "I'm sorry, I didn't sleep quite well."
He took the book from you and you huffed, offended. As you tried to get it back, he stood up and extended his hand to you instead.
"Take a break, come on."
"No."
"You need to. Come."
You rolled your eyes but took his hand nonetheless. He put your book away and led you to where he was only minutes ago. You helped him with hanging his bed sheets and assumed he was also cleaning Jisung's since there were more than one person would need.
"You're oddly quiet today."
"I always am."
He had to give you that, you weren't the most talkative person he knew but your aura was off. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing"
"You're lying."
"Maybe."
He chuckled. "I'm serious, I'm here if you need to spill out whatever is bothering you."
You sighed. "Nothing important, my dad called me again. That's all."
"Well, that clearly did something to you. What did he want?"
"It's nothing, I swear."
He gave you a look. "Y/N."
"Just... He asked if I could live with him again."
He scoffed. "He has some guts to ask this from you."
Jeongin had been informed of your abusive relationship with him, not from you though. Sora told him in case something happened because she wasn't around as much and she still cared about you. Of course, you were extremely hurt she would tell him such things without your consent but with how well Jeongin took it, it didn't last long.
"I said no and hung up."
"Good." he nodded. "Now, forget about it and help me with this."
You looked at the pile of pillowcases and started to hang them. From afar, you saw Hyunjin coming home, probably after a class as his backpack wasn't even closed fully. Upon seeing the two of you, he joined you and gave a side hug to his friend.
"Have you seen Byeol today?" he asked.
You both shook your heads. "I have not but I can tell you if I do see her." Jeongin said.
"No, it's alright. We haven't had time together lately, that's all."
"Aren't you two living together?" He got a nod from Hyunjin as an answer. "Odd... By the way, are you coming to Chan's party?"
"I don't think I will. Hyunjoo wants me to but I would rather stay home with ice cream and a good drama."
You smiled weakly. "That's kind of sad." you commented, surprising both men.
"As if you were going." Hyunjin said, perking an eyebrow.
"I might go. Sora asked me to and Jeongin is definitely going... It might be good for me."
Hyunjin frowned. "Uh, that's a first that I'm hearing from you. Well, I'll leave you two, I still have a sculpture analysis to finish up."
"Good luck!" Jeongin waved as Hyunjin went inside the building. "I really wonder if Byeol will be there... Eunhee too... Or anyone." he laughed a bit.
"Ask the whole school while you are at it." you joked.
"I just might" he joked back. "It's the party of the year before the summer break, of course I want to know will be there. I'm surprised you want to come, by the way."
"That much?"
He tilted his head to his side. "Come on, I thought I'd have to force you out of the dorm."
"You won't need to."
You laughed and went on with your chore. Another comfortable silence settled as you both hummed to the music he had put on his phone. As you were minding your own business, you heard Jeongin let out a loud gasp.
"Oh my, this blanket is so soft! Why does Jisung get to have nice stuff?"
You chuckled. "Is it that nice?"
"You bet it is!"
In a matter of milliseconds, he engulfed you with it, throwing it on both of your heads. Your heart stopped working as you took in the proximity of your bodies. You didn't know whether the smell was him or the blanket. Regardless, it smelled amazing and the fabric was, indeed, very soft.
"Yeah, it's very nice." you managed to say in a small voice, avoiding his eyes at all costs.
"Yeah." he said quietly, a gulp following. "I'm glad we are friends."
You ignored the squeeze in your chest that you had no idea where it came from and smiled. "Me too."
And with that, he brought you closer into a hug. It felt nice having him this close. He was warm and comfortable.
"Well, well, what do we have here?"
You jumped away from Jeongin as you heard the voice. To no surprise, Jisung was smirking at you in a teasing way. Jeongin cursed him out, insisting that he goes away. He did but didn't forget to tease you some more as he stepped inside.
"I'll let you two have a moment, lovebirds."
With an awkward cough and a face as red as a tomato, Jeongin tried to ignore what had just happened by giving you the last pillowcase you need to place. You followed his behaviour, acting as if nothing was going on, but you most definitely wanted to ask him what it meant. Or that could wait. Yeah, you would wait.
Sora asked you thousand of times if you were sure you didn't want her to wait for you before going to Chan's place but you assured her you would be fine. She was needed there in advance and you preferred not standing awkwardly as her and Chan were setting everything up for the party. You had picked out an outfit with her before she left and you were now staring at it, wondering if you made a good choice.
As time passed, you set your mind on stopping to stall and you changed clothes, got your purse, and left your place. Luckily, Chan's apartment was near yours so it didn't take long until you got there. You were both glad and dismayed by that as it meant you were getting closer to seeing Jeongin. Your heart was pounding more and more as you approached the front door. Hesitantly, you finally knocked on the door, Changbin greeting you with a hug. You didn't even know him that well but hugged him nonetheless, despite being rather uneasy by the gesture.
It wasn't the first time you went there. Sora had dragged you a few times in the past so you knew your way around. Still, with the amount of people there was already, you felt a little overwhelmed. It was almost to the point you regretted coming. That feeling, however, was long gone as soon as you spotted Sora. She was already chatting with some people you didn't know so you restrained yourself from joining her, until those people left. With no hesitation, you sat with her on the couch she was at and she welcomed you with a hug.
"I'm surprised you found you way here that easily!"
You rolled your eyes. "I might be shy but I'm not stupid. Why are there so many people, anyway? Who are those people?"
She laughed. "People Chan know, some others who invited themselves... I don't know them much either."
You looked around and saw a couple of other students from your classes but most of them were older. You frowned when you didn't see Minho around. You would have sworn he'd be glued to Sora if he was here.
"Where's your boyfriend?"
Her cheeks turned pink. "Not here yet. And he's not my boyfriend."
"Sure thing..."
Chan arrived soon after with an extra drink in hand for you. "I think this might be light enough for you. I don't know what you like."
"Thank you." you smiled but choked on the liquid as you saw Jisung and Jeongin following behind.
The two men got comfortable and they sat beside you. They waved at you and you waved back in a very shy way, more than usual.
"Sora, I need held with the snacks if you don't mind?" Chan said, gesturing for her to follow him.
You pleaded for you friend to stay with your puppy eyes but she gave you a small smile before walking away with Chan. You huffed and took a sip of the liquor.
"What is this even?" you muttered under your breath.
"Give, I'll tell you." Jeongin said as he took the cup from you, tasting it.
You didn't think you said it loud enough for anyone to hear and you watched him as he frowned, trying to figure out what was your drink. "I mean, it tastes good but-"
"Sangria, I think."
You nodded. "Good? Bad?"
"For a starter like you, I'd say good. I got tired of it eventually but it's still an acceptable choice."
"I'll have to thank Chan for that."
He smiled. "He wasn't to give you something you wouldn't like, I'm sure."
"Right, he isn't like that." you chuckled. "So, how were your finals?"
Jeongin let out a breath. "Demanding but I'm just glad it's over. I hope I passed."
"Same for me. What about you, Jisung?"
The boy looked up from his phone and grinned. "I'm convinced I passed with flying colours."
"I wouldn't be so sure if I were you." Jeongin shrugged.
"Why is that?"
"Your mind was focused on Hwayoung mostly."
"So, Y/N." Jisung changed the subject quickly. "Do you have any plans for the summer?"
You shook your head as a no. "I'm going back home with my aunt but I will probably get a job and work full time. Other than that, sleeping?"
This made Jeongin smile. "Will you have time to hang out then?"
You looked at him curiously. "With me? You and I? Together?"
"Yeah."
"Oh. I'm sure we can find things to do, yes."
"Am I late?" a new voice said.
Eunhee smiled at the three of you as Jisung let her sit with him. "“We pretty much all came in advance. Minho, Hyunjin, Byeol, Hyunjoo and Felix are missing.” the latter answered.
"Felix? The brownie guy?" you asked Jeongin.
"I'm surprised you know who he is."
"I might not talk to people but I listen. I tasted those brownies, even. Not going to lie, they are a delight."
He scoffed. "Are they?"
"Yes. What is it? You don't like them?"
"No, they're good. But would you be willing too taste mine?"
Jisung sent a look his way. By then, Eunhee had vanished and he was alone again. "You bake?"
"I do."
"I'll believe it when I see it."
"I swear I do!" Jeongin protested.
Jisung rolled his eyes and went to get another drink. Being alone with Jeongin, the two of you continued to discuss about everything and nothing. He left to get you more alcohol a few times but he spent the whole evening with you. And the more time you were together, the more he was moving closer to you and you to him. You never drank much in life but the little amount you'd had so far was enough to give you a confidence boost.
"You're the first person who is this kind to me." you suddenly said.
It took him aback but he smiled nonetheless. "How can I not be?"
"Oh, come on. I'm not that interesting. I ran away from you the first times we spoke."
"Fair enough, but if I'm being honest, I thought you were very pretty."
Your eyes went wide immediately. "You what?"
"I still think you are. I don't know, you were intriguing. And then we started to talk and your whole being was just so... How can I say it? Mesmerizing."
You mind spiralled around a hundred of times and you couldn't even form a proper sentence in your mind; a result of both the alcohol and the shock you were feeling. As you were about to let out incoherent words as a response, he kept on going.
"Your journey itself is quite something and with how far you've overcome your struggles... It's impressive."
"Thank you." you said although it sounded squeaky as you were still baffled by his words. "I don't know how to react, honestly. While we're at it, I thought you were quite charming yourself."
He chuckled out of embarrassment. "I don't stand out much compared to my friends, I can assure you."
"Yeah? Then how did I notice you so easily?"
This caught his attention. His eyes moved slowly to meet yours and you were dumbfounded by how pretty they were. His gaze flickered from your eyes to your hair to you nose, and then to your lips. You coughed and looked away. You weren't sure why you weren't giving yourself in but you were annoyed with yourself for doing so. That's pretty much the only thing you had in mind since you met this guy; kiss him. So why couldn't you do it?
"I never got the chance to tell you how thankful I am for what you have done for me. And that time in the laundry room, I'm glad you caught me crying."
He grabbed your hand and your body tensed again. "And I'm glad you trusted me enough to open up."
You looked at him again and, this time, he was much closer than you had anticipated him to be. And, this time, you were physically incapable of moving away from him. He didn't let go of you, determined for you to stay. Not pulling away, you gave in and made the first move by laying a small kiss onto his mouth. His grin got even wider.
"You kissed me."
You hummed. "I suppose I did."
The harmony of both of your chuckles felt like music to his ear. He leaned in again to kiss you once more. However, as his lips were about to touch yours, a loud yell was heard from the kitchen. You jumped away from each other, startled, only to understand it was Sora and Chan arguing. Most of the people partying stopped what they were doing to listen, you included. Changbin was trying his best to keep the party going.
"Should I go help her?" you whispered in Jeongin's ear.
He shook his head before taking your two hands with his. "We should leave."
"But-"
"They'll be fine. Plus, I'd love to have some time with you, alone."
You could feel the heat rush to your face. You nodded shyly in agreement and it was all it took for him to lead you outside. As the door closed behind you, he grabbed your waist. Pulling you closer and closer to his body, he didn't waste another second before finally kissing you again.
You didn't know for sure if all of this was going to work out. One thing was sure, you were head over heels for him and he seemed to be just as much as you were. Maybe even more.
There are many thing lines between love and other feelings. But no one ever thinks about the extremely thin and fragile line between love and fear. There are two ways that line can go: you either become scared of your loved one, or the love itself turns into fear of loneliness. For the latter one, there's a simple way to describe it: trying to swim to the shore while having your head held underwater.
It's been months. And you were convinced you were searching for closure, when in fact you wanted anything but that with him. Many would have thought you'd fall back into your smoking habit, or start up on drinking, even drugs; but in fact none of that happened. Time heals, they say, but this time it might have just re-opened your scars. Now you sat there licking over your own wounds like a dog while Wooki kept yapping endlessly.
"And maybe if you'd stop crying over what you've lost and fought to gain it back-" "enough!" Jihyun's voice cut through the suddenly thick air from where she was seated at the other end of the small studio Wooki owned. "can't you see she's not listening?" They both glanced over at you, who was indeed stuck in her own train of thoughts. "____! Earth to ____!" Wooki called and it made you snap out of it. "Really, why not do something?" Jihyun asks and you feel that knot in your throat forming again. Why is it so difficult for you to even answer this question? It really hurts, you know it does and they know it does. but why would you be the one to run to him again? why doesn't he do anything? but what if he did and you never reacted? what if you have unopened letters sitting in your mailbox? what if-
"snap out of it" Wooki's voice rang through the walls and you couldn't help but stare at his every detail for a second. you could lose your mind just doing that and you would just so that you wouldn't think about Changkyun anymore, but you're not one to hurt others to keep you away from your own hurt. "just take a step" jihyun encouraged but you took it from her face expression and undertone that she was exasperated and exhausted. not only from this, but that's a story for another time. (iykyk)
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
This was not how it was supposed to end up. Not in the rain, not by the side of a river, not with tears running down your face. Not facing his broken figure, not wanting to stop his trembling lip and not wanting to hug him more than ever but resisting.
"I'm sorry.." silence followed, even though it stayed brief, because "I'm sorry!" his shaky voice errupted through the small yet huge distance between you two "okay? I'm sorry. I fcked up, I know that. but I don't want to lose you like this, over this, not now and not ever!" he shouted and cried but still, took not even a single step towards you. he still waited for you to make a move. and not because he was lazy or indifferent, but because he was scared. but..not scared of you, or scared that his our your love has turned into fear of loneliness, he was scared of losing you. that's the third side of the thin line between love and fear, and it's situated exactly on the cut of the line.
"I'm here.." those two words meant the world. never has he ever ran faster to scoop you up in his arms and kiss you so tenderly, never had your hands wrap around his neck so quickly. and so the the night passed; with a walk home, two warm showers, a movie and a shared blankets, with tattoos being traced by soft fingertips and little nothings whispered before and after sleep.
and love doesn't need to be consistent, love doesn't have to be perfect. love has to be yours. and you're pretty sure you've got it secured.
Pedri smut
Disclaimer: unrealistic dick size and this is very self-indulgent, has a lot going on and is a little too long. Hope you guys enjoy xx
Pedri and Morgan had been together for three months, and things had been going well. They enjoyed each other's company, shared interests, and it was pretty much perfect, except for one thing. Every time Morgan tried to initiate sex, Pedri always took care of her, but when Morgan wanted to return the favor, he declined. Morgan couldn't help but feel worried about it. She respected Pedri and didn't want to touch him without his consent, but she couldn't help but wonder why he wasn't comfortable with her touching him.
One night, as they were lying in bed together, Morgan couldn't resist the temptation anymore. She started to kiss Pedri's neck and whispered into his ear, "Pedri, can I touch you?"
Pedri groaned in response and turned to face her, his dark brown eyes filled with desire. He pulled her close to him, making her sit on his lap and kissed her deeply, his hands exploring her body. Morgan could feel his growing arousal pressed against her, and she wanted nothing more than to pleasure him. She rolled her hips against him, causing Pedri to moan into her mouth.
Morgan reached down to touch him, but Pedri quickly grabbed her hand, stopping her. "It's okay," he said, "you don't have to do that."
Morgan pulled away from him and looked into his eyes. "Pedri, I want to do this. Why won't you let me?"
Pedri blushed and looked away. "It's just that I'm...pretty big down there," he said, trailing off.
Morgan's eyes widened in surprise. She had never imagined that could be the reason. "Is that why you won't let me touch you?"
Pedri nodded, looking embarrassed. "I've hurt partners before because of my size. I don't want to hurt you too."
Morgan took Pedri's hand and squeezed it. "Pedri, I promise you won't hurt me. I want to feel you, all of you."
Pedri looked at her skeptically. "Are you sure?"
Morgan nodded. "Yes, I'm sure. I trust you."
Pedri smiled and leaned in to kiss her. "Okay, then. Let me take care of you."
Pedri started to remove Morgan's shirt and bra, revealing her breasts. He flipped them over so that he was on top, and then kissed her deeply. As he moved down her body, he caressed her curves and kissed her breasts, eliciting soft moans from her.
Once he reached her pants, he removed them along with her panties, revealing her smooth, wet folds. He wasted no time and started to eat Morgan out, making her moan and writhe in ecstasy.
As he licked and sucked on her clit, Pedri stopped for a moment and looked up at Morgan. "Can you take at least four fingers, amor?"
Morgan was surprised by his question, but she nodded eagerly. "I've never taken more than three, but I think I can."
Pedri hesitated, but nodded his head. He then slipped one finger inside her, and she couldn't help but arch her back as he began to pump it inside her. She let out a soft moan as he added the second finger, and she could feel herself getting wetter with each thrust. "That feels good," she gasped, feeling the pressure building inside her.
Pedri smiled, his eyes focused on the sight of his fingers disappearing inside her. "You're so tight," he said, his voice low and husky. "I can't wait to feel you around my cock."
Morgan moaned and spreaded her legs wider, urging him to go deeper.
Pedri didn't slow down, instead adding a third finger. Morgan gasped as she was feeling stretched to her limits, her body writhing beneath his touch. "Oh god, Pedri," she cried out.
Morgan had never felt so alive, so consumed by desire. The sensation of Pedri's fingers inside her was almost too much to bear, but she couldn't bring herself to ask him to stop. She wanted this, wanted him, more than anything she had ever wanted before.
Pedri's fingers were skilled, and he knew exactly how to touch her to drive her wild. He added a fourth finger to the mix, and Morgan gasped as her pussy stretched to accommodate him. "You're doing so well, baby" he praised her while kissing her temple, "Such a good girl, I knew you could take it."
Morgan felt a flush of pride at his words, her body responding to his touch with renewed fervor. She was so close to the edge, could feel the pleasure coiling tightly in her belly, but she couldn't seem to let go and surrender to the release.
"Pedri, I can't... I don't think I can..." she trailed off, lost in the sensation.
Pedri paused, looking up at her with concern. "What's wrong, amor? Are you uncomfortable?"
Morgan shook her head, trying to find the words to explain. "It's just... I've never felt this way before. It's overwhelming, almost too much to handle."
Pedri's eyes softened, and he cupped her face with his free hand. "It's okay, mi vida. Just breathe. Let yourself feel everything, and know that I'm here with you. You don't have to do anything except let go and feel the pleasure, if you want to stop let me know."
Morgan nodded, trusting him completely. She closed her eyes and focused on her breathing, trying to relax and allow the pleasure to take over. Pedri continued to move his fingers inside her, but now there was a gentle rhythm to his touch, as if he was coaxing her along rather than pushing her over the edge.
Pedri continued to move his fingers in and out of Morgan's wetness, each stroke eliciting a moan from her lips. He had been teasing her for what seemed like hours, building her arousal to a fever pitch before finally giving in to her pleas and speeding up his pace.
Finally, the tension inside Morgan reached its breaking point. She let out a deep moan as the orgasm ripped through her body, waves of pleasure washing over her. Pedri continued to move his fingers inside her, prolonging the sensation until she was spent and panting.
Pedri pulls his fingers out of Morgan, slowly, savoring her taste as he brings them to his mouth to lick them clean. Morgan watches him, her body still trembling from her orgasm. She loves the way he looks at her, the way he savors every inch of her body. It makes her feel desired and appreciated.
Pedri stands up and starts to undress himself. First, he removes his t-shirt, revealing his lean, muscular torso. Morgan watches him hungrily, admiring the way his muscles ripple as he moves. Then, he unbuttons his jeans and slowly slides them down his legs, revealing his black boxer briefs. Morgan's eyes widen when she sees the bulge in Pedri's underwear. She can hardly believe the size of him, but she now understands his concern for not hurting her.
Pedri notices the shock on her face and chuckles softly, "Surprised, baby?" Morgan nods, still speechless. She feels a rush of excitement and apprehension at the thought of taking Pedri inside of her. She knows she wants it, but she's also afraid of the pain.
Pedri leans down to kiss her deeply, his hand caressing her cheek. "Don't worry, I'll take care of you," he whispers. Morgan nods, feeling reassured. She trusts Pedri completely, and she knows he won't do anything to hurt her.
With a sense of purpose, Pedri removes his last piece of clothing and stands fully naked in front of Morgan. She can't take her eyes off him, admiring the way his cock stands hard and proud. She's speechless, just silently watching his cock and the beads of pre-cum leqking of the pinkish tip.
Pedri breaks the silence. "Where's the lube, bebé?" he asks, looking around the bed. Morgan points to the nightstand where the bottle of lube is lying. Pedri walks over and grabs it, squirting a generous amount onto his hand, then putting it on his cock and sitting on the bed.
"Get on top," he said, his voice low and steady.
Morgan nodded, her eyes dark with desire as she straddled him. Pedri could feel the heat of her core against his own, and it took all his willpower to keep from thrusting into her right then and there. He knew he had to take it slow, to be gentle with her.
"Like this?" Morgan asked, shifting slightly on top of him.
Pedri nodded, his hands gripping her hips gently. "That's it. You can move as you please."
Morgan began to lower herself onto him, and Pedri could feel her walls stretching around him. She winced in discomfort, and Pedri knew he had to reassure her.
"It's okay," he said, his voice soothing. "Just relax. Breathe. I'm here for you, amor."
Morgan nodded, her eyes closed in concentration as she took deep breaths. Pedri could feel her muscles relaxing around him, and he knew she was starting to feel more comfortable.
As Morgan began to move, Pedri could see the pleasure building on her face. She moved slowly at first, her hips rolling back and forth in a sensual rhythm. Pedri attentively looked at Morgan's face, making sure that she wasn't showing any signs of discomfort.
"You're doing so well, cariño," Pedri murmured, his hands moving up to cup her breasts. "Tell me how it feels."
Morgan moaned, her eyes rolling back in her head. "It feels amazing," she said, her voice barely above a whisper. "I've never felt this way before, you're so deep in me."
Pedri smiled, feeling a sense of pride in himself for making Morgan feel this way. He knew he had to keep going, to make her feel even more pleasure.
"That's it," he said, his fingers playing with her nipples. "Just relax and let yourself go, amor."
Morgan's hips began to move even faster, her moans getting louder and more desperate. Pedri could feel himself getting lost in the moment, moaning and softly bucking his hips.
"More," Morgan gasped. "I need more, please"
Pedri knew what she wanted, and he was more than happy to oblige. He removed his hands from her breasts, and grabbed her hips tightly and began to thrust up into her, matching her rhythm perfectly. Morgan cried out, her body shuddering as she rode him harder and harder.
"Joder, que bien te sientes amor," Pedri groaned, feeling all his self-control leaving his body.
Morgan nodded, her eyes closed in pleasure. "Don't stop," she gasped. "Please don't stop."
With a final, deep thrust, Pedri and Morgan both reached the pinnacle of their pleasure. Morgan cried out, her body arching as she leaned forward to him, and Pedri could feel his own release coursing through him. He held her tightly, reveling in the feeling of her body against his, their hearts pounding together.
"That was amazing," he whispered, stroking her hair.
Morgan nodded, her breaths coming in short gasps as she tried to catch her breath. Pedri smiled at her, feeling a sense of happiness wash over him. He knew that what they had just shared was something special, something that would stay with them forever.
"Let me clean you up," Pedri said, gently getting Morgan off him and getting up from the bed. "I'll get a washcloth."
When he returned, he gently cleaned Morgan's sensitive areas and then crawled back onto the bed beside her.
"Te amo," he whispered, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.
Morgan smiled up at him, her eyes soft with affection. "I love you too," she said, cuddling closer to him.
They lay there for a few moments, basking in the afterglow of their lovemaking. Pedri knew that he had found something special in Morgan, something that he wanted to hold onto for as long as possible.
