Randomly had the idea of, in the far, far flung future, Atlus releases like, Persona 17 or something, and I keep coming up with random absurd things about the game (and other things for this bizarre world where new Persona games never stop coming out)
P17's main color is light beige, they used up all the colorful colors by Persona 15
The main concept for P17's "other world" is based on some obscure, loose metaphor a psychologist used for the human subconscious one time, they had ran out of smart, semi-sensical metaphors by like, Persona 10
^ A friend of mine suggested that the "other world" be sandwich themed because a totally real psychologist compared the layers of mental instability to the layers of a sandwich (and to make the excuse that the main color represents the bread)
^^ The Velvet Room is a Subway
There are like 17 Social Stats to increase, they can only be ranked up like once or twice each, but doing it for all of them is tough, especially since you don't know which you'll need to unlock what
They've made so many Personas based on mythology and fictional creatures and the like, that Altus started coming up with their own mythologies just so they could base more Personas off them
There are Social Links / Confidants for every tarot card arcana ever made, but they still needed more Social Links / Confidants, so Atlus had to start making up their own arcanas
P17 actually takes place over the course of 2-3 years, otherwise you wouldn't have enough time to complete all the content even at max efficiency
There are like 32 magic affinities / elements, and like 14 physical ones, each party member commonly specializes in 2-3 magic affinities / elements, as well as a different physical affinity / element
The mascot character is like, an aardvark or something, it has no relation to anything in the game and it's kinda obvious that Atlus is just running out of popular animals to make into mascots
By popular demand, the P17 protag is finally bisexual, have fun trying to date all 50+ romance-able characters in the game, you asked for this
A deluxe version with even more content somehow is in development, get ready for Persona 17 Toasted a couple years after P17 releases
Speaking of rereleases, "Reload"s of previous Persona games have become somewhat of a standard, Altus has said Persona 13 Regrown (P13 is plant-themed) is nearing completion
There are rumors that P17 will have a spin-off that plays like a 3D Collect-a-Thon Platformer, mostly because it's one of the few genres of games the Persona series hasn't tried out in a spin-off yet
On the topic of spin-offs, the Persona Q games have lost their goddamn mind, each game still includes the groups from all of the previous Persona games as well as the group from the most recent Persona game at the time, Q14 literally has like over a hundred party members you can use, it's insanity
Thank you for joining me on this delve into complete Persona-themed stupidity, and I hope you're as hyped for Persona 17 as I am
#persona#persona 5#persona 3#persona 4#c!'s rambles#how do I even tag this#hopefully it's pretty obvious#but this is all just a stupid joke#I'm not trying to imply any of this should be in future Persona games or something#also apologies if I got any terminology wrong or something#despite liking this series I haven't actually played any entries besides a bit of Q2

@zeroabyss replied to your post “@zeroabyss replied to your post “Since I'm...”:
Yes dead. Rhea wouldn’t have given up the chase otherwise, nor is she implied to have dedicated any military force to finding him at any point innthe current days. We know they were eventually called the 10 Elites because Nemesis and the rest pretended Maurice was dead the moment he became a Beast and disappeared, and History likewise remembered it as only ten. Nothing in the game suggests Rhea thought Maurice was still out there, and she absolutely would not have let him live if she knew he was around due to knowing she made sure to hunt down the other ten.
Bear in mind in Nopes Maurice being part of the Elites is documented, and they later became the 10 Elites (rather than 10+1) because of the "curse" associated to that Crest.
The same book suggests Maurice became "unhinged" after a battle in Gronder - so before Tailtean?
Rhea hunting the Elites is, imo, fueled by both vengeance/retribution but also by the wish to recover whatever was left of her siblings - Maurice "slained" a Holy Warrior and was still hoarding Blutgang - Rhea wants to recover relics (it's the reason behind Constance and Yuri's paralogue in FE16 and it's mentionned in Balthus'!).
Imo, even if Maurice died in a ditch, Rhea would have wanted to "recover" the relic.
So, in a way, the hunt for Maurice should have been both a hunt to rekt him - if he was alive - and a hunt to recover what was left of Bob - the Nabatean who became Blutgang.
Now, in the modern times, we know there are rumours and legends about a demonic beast in Mircea's forest, I can't fathom Rhea/the CoS not knowing a thing about it (hell, why weren't they asked to deal with this issue?) so why wasn't she taking care of him?
As Rhea the Archbishop, maybe she mellowed a bit and adopts a more "reaction" approach, if a relic pops up she will acquire it, but she won't send her people look behind every rock and box if there's a relic inside.
But as Seiros the Warrior? The same Seiros who went to war and spent around 100 years to hunt Nemesis? Who continued to hunt the Elites after Nemesis' death? This Seiros would have let Maurice escape or Bob remain in the ditch Maurice died in (if Maurice died)?
I can't see it - unless there is some event that makes her drop the "Warrior" persona and adopt her more passive "Archbishop" persona - which is what this headcanon (lycaon's death) tried to explain :
Seiros the Warrior is so gung-ho on avenging her dead siblings and "recovering" them that she cannot protect the future (Lycaon's supposed golden rule and the happily ever after ending post WoH!) and the present (Lycaon as a person? Especially if he was her kid!), so Archbishop Rhea (and her many names!) will try to oversee the present - if there is a relic around she'll recover it but she won't exclusively focus on it and won't spare attention to Momo when there are people who currently need her help right now (just like relics though, if there is an opportunity or occasion where Archbishop Rhea can face Momo or meet him, he's dead meat) - and the future - her rez Sothis plan.
#zeroabyss#replies#eff Maurice his paralogue throws so many questions unanswered#why is he still alive and the nabateans didn't murdilate him#or even in general if there are rumours about a dangerous beast in Mircea#why wasn't the CoS and its KoS tasked with getting rid of it#3 Nopes#it basically has a book for common use and not a super secret one saying Momo left and loitered in Mircea#maybe it's rumour or something but why no one went to check?#and since those books belong to the CoS in the first place I can't believe Rhea didn't know or heard of it#so why is he still alive in FE16? Did he spend his time running away?#idk#10k years of lore

How much is a royal title worth in LTF? Dragons Wings seems to imply that it was a really big deal having Lu Ten as a figurehead for the movement, does that importance extend outside of the Fire Nation as well? Outside Ba Sing Se he immediately became a valuable target the moment the wrong person found out his location.
I'm extrapolating from available information mostly to try to figure out how careful the Sazanami needs to be when traveling outside Fire Nation controlled waters with two royals on board. And how dangerous it might be if information about their location and mode of transport were to spread. Would the Earth Kingdom generals consider them a worthwhile target to chase after if that information became known? Would the South Water Tribe fleet?
And depending on the answer to those questions, would the Wings mention having royal backing in any eventual future meetings with other factions? or would they keep it quiet to not risk a repeat of what happened to Lu Ten? (The more I think about it, the more Zuko's Hui-persona seems to offer a vital layer of protective camouflage, allowing him to become insignificant to those who would go after him. How much does Zhao know about the details of that identity? that's the only weak point I can see at the moment.)
TL;DR Royal title has significant political weight in LTF. However, threat levels of being specifically targeted not too high for Zuko&Iroh while sailing about even outside of FN waters. No different than any other FN vessel. Wings will definitely start establishing they have someone suitable to take the throne if they overthrow Ozai, at least to FN allies. To possible foreign allies? Proooobably not after they were burned so hard last time... Hui should be safe from Zhao.
Long rambling answer:
Oh maaan you always ask them hard hitting questions. I really had to think on this one.
So perhaps the first thing I really sat thinking about is how in canon, the political weight the noble class is very... light? Understandably so, as this is a Nick cartoon, not some Game of Thrones style type shit. I feel like that pretty much extends to general fandom perception and content? Like I feel most the time when I see focus on the importance of say Zuko's royal standing, it's to deconstruct it and show him 'breaking norms.' But what ARE the norms?
Zuko may have been banished and (presumably) taken out of the line of inheritance until he found the Avatar, but Iroh still had his title as a prince of the FN. Even disgraced after the siege, he has standing. But it doesn't come off that way at all! And then Azula, Ozai's only heir while Zuko is banished, is sent off to capture Aang. And sure she's a powerful firebender but?? She really had meager guards and protection being IN THE MIDDLE OF ENEMY TERRITORY! And gosh the whole King Kuei running off into the wild with his pet bear is bonkers. No matter how much of a puppet king he was, he's still a whole ass king. Buck wild. But again, kids show lol.
So then turning to LTF... The politics are a litter messier and hold more weight. The Fire Nation royal line 'traces back to the first Fire Lord' and it is a Big Deal. There's probably a lot of nobles who take immense pride in their connections to the royal line. "I'm the great-great grandson of Fire Lord X's youngest sister!" type shit. And it's a big deal who is then brought into the royal family. Hence Ursa coming out of nowhere was such a huge upset in the court.
As far as the commonfolk go, I'd say that ties into the spiritual significance of the royal family. The FN gives off the 'divine right to rule' vibe to their politics, with the original Fire Lord being a Fire Sage and the throne being tied closely to the Fire Sages in its beginnings. Even after the Fire Lords started pulling more power to themselves and from the sages, the Fire Sage clearly still have strong social and political sway. I hinted a bit at it with Ju Long at one point, how the Fire Lord is supposed to be a representative of the FN's spirits of sorts.
So it is important that if there's a faction going against the throne, they have someone from the royal family backing them. No matter how radical the group, they know that if they're going to usurp the Fire Lord and keep someone else on the throne, they need the support of the nobles and commonfolk. Only way to do that is with someone in the royal line. Also touched on that briefly with Bun Ma's conversation with Iroh before she left, about the Fire Lord who was overthrown by the clans who had to marry their candidate to rule to someone in the royal line to secure their place.
Which now gets me thinking, it'd be SO interesting if the Earth Kingdom tried forcing Zuko/Iroh to marry an EK noble and making a claim to the Fire Nation throne.... Oh man that'd be so interesting. Bc honestly, with Zuko's banishment and Iroh basically abdicating the throne, they aren't high profile targets to foreign powers. Lu Ten was targeted because his worth to Iroh was well known, and it seemed like the best move to end the siege. There's no benefit to targeting Zuko or Iroh other than reparations in regards to Iroh (like what almost happened in the show when he was taking his bath lmao), a shot in the dark Ozai isn't as heartless as he seems and would care about a ransom, or the secret third option I just thought of, of trying to upset FN politics from the inside...
I'm losing the thread some maybe... I've been thinking about this all day can you tell haha.
Okay so for the Wings, if they want to have any hope of making significant waves in the FN political sphere, they need that royal backing. So as they start pushing harder, they will need to disclose they have someone suitable to take the throne should they overthrow Ozai. But they'll be playing it safe of keeping it vague just who they're putting their money on. If anyone outside the Wings starts hearing of their movement and mission, they could think it's Iroh or even a noble with direct lines of descent from the royal family.
Coordinating with foreign allies, they'll be keeping their cards even closer to their chest. After Lu Ten they're not going to take any chances. So they'd definitely imply their royal backer isn't in the immediate royal family. Or that they're completely breaking FN norms and saying fuck it. After a century of conflict and isolation, EK and WTs wouldn't necessarily know the political and cultural climate of the FN. They could probably accept and believe a rebel group hoping to overthrow the throne without royal backing, unlike FN allies.
As far as Zhao goes, he definitely underestimates the power of Hui. Even if he did learn Zuko's undercover name, he hasn't remembered it. He just vaguely knows that Zuko's been posing as a scholar. What a waste of time and resources, but go off banished prince, is his mindset. Last he's met Zuko, he went to the library and came back without seeming to have learned all that much. Whoopdeedoo.
If he actually knew just how much shit Zuko's gotten up to as Hui and how many connections he's made, it'd be a different story. But he doesn't, so Hui's safe from Zhao's interference.

(this is about the schlatt situation, which will probably my last ask about it since thoughts are happening, and you don't have to reply if you don't want to!)
I don't know why but no matter how much I try to distance myself until further notice, I keep thinking about the situation? And now I think my feelings also just turned into worry? I mean the anger and disappointment is still there because what happened was definitely not okay - it was horrible and the video just shouldn't have happened. I'm just worried and scared that he won't address it/that he will ignore it and that he won't change. and I'm also worried for him - because of the whole doxxing situation. Whenever I see screenshots or posts about things like his address, family info and apparently potentially credit card info being leaked I just worry for his safety. of course I recognise that he's a grown adult and he can definitely keep himself safe but still I'm just worried since no one should be doxxed.
I think I'm just holding onto a sliver/slither(?) of hope that he does make a video to discuss it, to apologise and to show that he does recognise that those things are very serious. I just hope he recognises that "offensive humour" doesn't offend people; it actively hurts and harms people - especially people who have been constantly hurt before. And I hope he recognises that this persona he's doing is just doing more harm than good. Even if he's trying to mock people who act like that, it's just slowly turning into attracting people like that into the fanbase. Cause I had a peek into the comment section on that video and it's just mostly people defending him?? and it's just like: why are you defending those "jokes"/malicious content? So instead of making fun of those people, it's really just turned into attracting people who hold those views into his channel. I just hope he realizes that and just changes and drops the shock factor content. I get it that YouTube is his source of income and he needs to make money but that isn't the way. Making money off of hurting other people isn't the way. He could have just posted the cat video instead and I bet that people would love the video since Jcat is adorable and an update would have been really nice. or even if he tried a somewhat chaotic (like knowing half the recipe and then trying to figure out the method) and wholesome cooking or baking video if his new place is set up? Because that video he made after moving in was really nice and just hearing him talk was nice? And I know change doesn't take a sudden day (like Minx said) but even just making the effort to change is something - which would really start with an apology and a serious, no persona, non edited, non monetized discussion video. Plus if they are playing a video game and someone in the group says something horrible like that, than for him to just be like "Stop. That's not okay." even just calling that out would be something.
Just some thoughts but otherwise I'm just worried and holding onto a bit of hope - that feels like is slowly dwindling as the days go on.
I absolutely agree with this and feel everything you're saying. All I want is an apology/response. The bear minimum. I feel less and less confident we will get one every day.
The way I see it the ways this can go (best to worst) are:
He makes a response and changes his content
He makes no response and changes his content
He makes no response and doesn't change
He makes a response and doesn't change (worst option)
I would be happy with option one, and I'd go back to watching his content regularly. In the event of option two (most likely imo) I would wait to see how he's doing then get back into his content hesitantly. For option three and four, I will drop that man instantly. Fuck that.
Of course that's my opinion as a fan and someone who has been a fan for over a year now. If people want to drop him no matter what I'm chill with that as long as they don't come after me/harass any other fans.
The people defending him in the YouTube comments are wrong and part of a nasty demographic that I really don't like. They do make up a lot of Schlatt's audience but I wish he would call them out sometimes. This is why I doubt mans will make a response, but it feels more likely that he'll be careful and better in the future.
He could post anything and it would get good views. The jackbox videos were lazy and uninspired. He's smarter than this (I could rant for hours about how good he is at satire and making fun of Bad People and exactly where he fucked up with this video) and he's clearly not like this irl. It annoys me and it will keep annoying me if he says nothing.
Maybe they'll say something on Chuckle Sandwich. Connor did imply that Schlatt knows the video was a bad decision, but I won't be happy until we hear something from the man himself.
The doxxing situation is terrifying. All his personal info, and the info of his family and friends, plus his address, maybe even his card number. It's disgusting. People who are apparently visiting his house are so out of line and I hope Schlatt and Connor are okay rn.
If you ever need to talk you can message me. I have a server dedicated to documenting YouTube/twitch/CC drama. It's invite only rn but we can talk about that if you want.
Hope everyone's doing okay. I'll keep updating on the situation.
