i've been thinking a lot about the abuse bristlefrost suffers under ashfur, and how it makes me upset that it's never really addressed (i mean, ik this is a warrior cats book so it wouldn't have been great) but there's something so upsetting that ashfur grooms & isolates & harms bristlefrost for most of her life, no-one seems to realize what's happening to her, and she dies b/c of her abuser. shadowsight's abuse at ashfur's hands wasn't addressed well either, but at least it was semi-acknowledged . bristle doesn't get that, even in death--she really is the most tragic character, though Not b/c of doomed forbidden romance #2335

NOBODY EVER BRINGS THIS UP AND ITS SO UPSETTING. people only care about bris through the lens of her being rootsprings perfect girlfriend who died oh so tragically for him and it makes me so mad she was so much more than that and had so much going on beyond just being about rootspring you guys just dont know how to care about women

i have tokeep spreading my agenda that bristleroot is not a healthy relationship . bristlefrost is using it as an active escape from her situation but she does not love him and he fucking sucks

ineed everyone to understand the hypothetical scenario where brissy lives and gets with rootspring is NOT happy ending. she doesnt deserve to live the rest of her life for this man.
