#personal crap#I'm not trying to defend the atrocities of people like xi jinping or putin or netanyahu ofc don't misunderstand me#I'm saying treating everyone who lives under their rule as a cheerleader of theirs is dehumanising and racist#on a sidenote it's interesting and depressing how often conversations between brits and usamericans#(at least socially conscious ones) just turns into us mocking each other as if our reactionaries are our progressives' fault#whenever people make jokes about healthcare or school shootings or ireland or terf island i want to punch them#bc it's not a joke when governments treat their people like shit
