Hey not sure if this is the right place to ask this but I'm looking for whoever might be able to offer advice. My wife just told me she's therian today (wolf). I'm completely supportive of it of course. As another wolf therian, do you have any suggestions for things I could do to help her feel more comfortable or support her better?

species affirming 101: wolves and other canids

hello there! struggling to figure out ways to affirm your therianthropy because you don't know where to start? or maybe you're someone who knows a critter personally and want to learn how to make them more comfortable around you? then sit down and get comfortable because this is species affirming 101 (with me, the dog).

before we go into it, please note:

not all of these things are for everyone, and that's okay! do what feels right for you.

i will try my best to provide alternatives for any food recommendations for those of you with dietary needs, but apologize in advance if i fail to do so.

that the most important thing to affirm your species is through taking good care of yourself and spending some time outside to ground yourself. sometimes these things take time, they'll come to you eventually.

with that in mind, let's begin with the first tip!

NUMBER ONE: clothing

whether you have shorter or longer fur, this point can help you either way! the human body doesn't grow nearly enough hair to feel comfortable sometimes, which is why i wear clothes that are fuzzy, warm, and the same color as my fur. this is especially helpful in the colder months.

as for the warmer months, i recommend purchasing things such as tail keychains, trimming your nails into claws, drawing paws on your shoes. even meditating in a wooded area can help somewhat (at least in my own experience).

NUMBER TWO: snacks

usually when people think of species affirming snacks their mind immediately goes to something like jerky, and whilst that can help a few folk, in my opinion it's much too gritty for me to enjoy comfortably. i prefer eating slim jims for the saltiness and fall-apart texture. if you can't eat meat for whatever reason, i recommend experimenting with different types of mushrooms. a popular choice for meat imitation is the lions mane mushroom. when cooked a certain way, it's crunchy, filling and has a tender texture.

NUMBER THREE: ambiance

something as simple as putting on a video of nature sounds can make you feel more at home. i recommend mixing this with den making (making your bed feel more like a den by adding lots of blankets, going under them to sleep for coverage, maybe a chair or two to keep the entrance visable. i find having some sort of floor mattress works best for this sort of thing)

NUMBER FOUR: comforts

stuffed animals of your theriotype are always a nice way to feel less lonely, especially if you feel like you're meant to have young. acting like they're your pack, your litter, or simply just your belongings can provide heavy comfort during times of feeling isolated.

if you feel like you shouldn't have stuffed animals because you aren't a domestic breed, you shouldn't worry about that. One, you can do whatever you want forerver. Two, there have been many cases of animals finding things like stuffed animals and playing with them, look at this guy!

NUMBER FIVE: socializing

as canines are social animals, it's important for you to spend time with others, therian or non-therian. if you have human friends, or a human partner, great! if they're comfortable with it, you can have them pet you if you'd like. maybe ask to go on a walk with them for a more discreet option.

i'd also recommend making friends who are also therian so you have others to relate to. it's important to realize that you are not alone in this, and there are so many who feel the way you do right now. if you make some irl, go to the forest together! play in the river! if you're stuck to being online friends for however long, make moodboards! play online games where you can be an animal together! roleplay if that's more your speed! there's plenty to do with loved ones.

for now, that's all i can think of. for the anon though here's a little more just for you, i wish you and your partner the best.

be there for her, tell her that her being a therian doesn't make you love her any less and that you find her therianthropy beautiful. ask her about what she'd like you to do to help with species dysphoria, if she has any. research about her theriotype with her to show her that you care about it. as another wolf therian myself, the thing that helped me the most is having my own partner be there for me. canines are social animals, be social with her.

It will always piss me off to no end how willing people are to offer in conversation how much they kill bugs and why. That it doesn't matter how with-it or aware or morally upright a person is otherwise. That it doesn't even matter how much they care about the environment or animals otherwise. People who don't even just claim they care or know a lot about animals; people who actually do. Leftists. Anarchists. Vegans. Champions of animal rights. Environmentalists. Other alterhumans! Will still hear you say you won't kill a bug that's not hurting you and laugh and joke about how they're clearly not as gentle as you because they'll just kill anything that looks icky. They'll say the reason they kill invertebrates is because they don't like the way we look with absolutely zero shame or self-awareness. Like I'm supposed to think of it as a harmless bad habit. I'm tired of humans that can never know they're talking to a centipede when they casually joke about how centipedes deserve to die for being so gross-looking and I'm tired of therians who come on posts uplifting invertebrate 'kin (or worse, taking some issue with the ways we're seen) with "if bugs come in my house they have to die but otherwise I agree with this sentiment!" or "I totally agree with all of this! No exceptions! Except [insert bug that's extremely popular to hate], those need to stay AWAY from me lmao"

...sooo yeah, I've seen a lot of posts about "tiktok therians" and also younger therians in general and I might as well get my two cents about it out here.

Short version: leave them alone; if they bother you that much then block them and move on instead of wasting your energy

Long version: Loud sigh... I feel like I might get some hate for this, but I might as well get it off my chest sooner or later.

Look, I get it, people are frustrated with how things are being watered down, but please think before you cause needless damage. What if, instead of your teacher correcting your answers on a quiz or test, they just insulted you, ignored you, and kicked you out of class? Not only would you not learn anything, but you'd probably end up disliking the teacher, if not developing a dislike for the subject they taught as a whole (as younger crowds tend to do). I've seen this happen in LGBT+ spaces and it saddens me to see it here, too.

Doesn't anyone else remember what it's like to be a teenager, exploring your identity, exploring concepts of the world in general, learning things, growing and maturing as a person? People get stuff wrong and misuse terms ALL. THE. TIME. Especially when young! That doesn't mean that some of them policing terms and identities is okay, of course; I don't blame anyone for taking a stand when it comes to that.

It's important to ensure that misinformation doesn't spread, of course. And that isn't done with gatekeeping and rage; it's done with compassion and patience. Not everyone is built for that sort of thing, of course; I'm not saying everyone out there needs to have the patience of a saint to correct people when they get certain alterhuman-related concepts or terms incorrect. Just know that being a bully on any level, no matter the excuse, will cause more harm than good.

"But it's the only way they'll learn!" No. Those are the words of someone who is letting their frustration and anger guide their actions. Maybe some people will need that kind of kick in the rear, but that should never, ever, ever be the action of choice. To be fair, I might be biased in this regard; my abusive guardian used that excuse all the time to make me do things because she didn't fully understand how my neurodivergence affected me. As a result, every time I see/hear anything similar to that, I'm strongly against it because it only reminds me of the bullying I endured.

Those who have been in this space for a while need to be welcoming to newcomers, willing to point to resources on some level, but still be firm in their boundaries in case someone decides to start trouble. Gatekeeping is not the answer and will never be the answer; the only thing it does is make the whole community look bad while ultimately causing damage. Of course, if you don't have the spoons to deal with any of this, then just block and move on. don't waste your energy on something you know isn't going to do you any good.

Those who are new to the space NEED to do their research from older, more established sources instead of only defining things in a way that they prefer. Things are going to exist in ways that don't make you the most comfortable, but you have the tools to keep that out of your space and you should absolutely make use of them.

I think everyone needs a reminder here that You are in charge of you. If something upsets you, it's your responsibility to block the appropriate people, set up the appropriate filters, whatever you need to do to make your space safe. If you claim an identity, you should at the very least know what it means and refrain from trying to needlessly police it.

And, I say this as a sex-repulsed asexual: sexual things are going to exist in every single space, be it an identity, fandom, hobby, whatever. It's not inherently bad, but it's certainly okay to not like it and it certainly shouldn't be aimed at minors. Set up your filters, block as needed, and move on. (And if you're the one posting NSFW stuff, tag it or otherwise mark it appropriately.)

If you're coming to tumblr from Tiktok, welcome! I hope you can find a safe space here. If you're a minor, please remember to practice basic internet safety. Don't share your age or location, don't show your face (masks are great for this!), be careful who you talk to, etc.

Please, don't fight each other. Educate each other and stand together. The world is a scary place; we don't need to add more bickering where it could be avoided. And we certainly don't want to alienate people who don't need to be.

Do you think it’s bad to want therianthropy and interspecies communities to stay away from the public eye. As embarrassing as having one’s identity be summed up to being “just a furry” I feel like if it got mainstream attention it would be a lot more dangerous. When I imagine trying to explain being a therian to republicans so they don’t do some batshit crazy shit to me I genuinely want to cry. Just explaining being nonbinary is nigh impossible. I’m scared of being seen because being seen means I’m open to criticism. And it’s a massive reason why I don’t talk about being a therian

No, I don't think that's unreasonable. That's been the opinion of the majority of the community for a very long time; it's only shifting recently.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure we're going to be able to avoid it. We're already being directly targeted by anti-trans laws, even if the people making those laws don't even realize that's what they're doing. And with the internet shifting the way it has and is, it's easier and easier for people to stumble across us by accident. Someday, sooner or later, I think we're going to be forced to make some kind of intentional educational PR move - or the world will do it for us. But I agree that I kind of hope it's later rather than sooner. There's a reason that when people, especially kids, ask "how do I come out to my parents/school/etc?", the immediate answer from the community is often "do you actually need to (ie, will it actually change anything), or do you just feel like you "should" tell people about it?" or just straight-up "don't, unless you're very sure they'll be cool about it".

Someday I hope we can live openly as nonhumans. Today is not that day for the vast majority of us. And it is a scary thing to look in the teeth. Unfortunately, I think that in the long run, the only way out is going to be through.

Labels!

I will begin by saying that i do not fuck with policing the identities of others. It's really none of your business, you don't know how someone else feels and labels are somethings that is very personal. That being said you should really invest in learning about a label, at least enough to know the definition. By not understanding a label you use, you will most likely end up hurting another folk that identifies with it as the definition intended.

I want to use the discours of beings who volountarily choose their kin(s) using the therian label (not as an umbrella term) as an example of this. This is quite common and leads the label to get washed out a lot. Typically, they'll spread misinformation about what the label is, because they base it from their own personal experience (by saying that theriantropy is voluntary and that people who think otherwise are odd) . Some may call them/know them as KFF (kin for fun), kinnies or tiktok therians. This kind of behavour is extremely difficult in a space as misunderstood as the otherkin/alterhuman community. Theriantropy is by definition an involuntary identity. Misuing terms is also harmful for the being that doesn't understand the definition, because you are not going to be able to learn about yourself if you don't challenge what you want to be vs what you actually are.

This can apply to all other labels, they are a tool. It is very usefull in the society we live in (although you can choose to not use them at all either). It is just like any word, they have a meaning and it is important to know what exactly you are talking about. Again, this is not me trying to police anyone's identity. I'm trying to speak up about the lack of understanding that some folks have in the labels they use. (That is also not me saying that you cannot be wrong ever about a terms you use actually not being for you! It is perfectly fine to use a label and then later on ditching it because it doesn't represent you ((no more)). This message is about beings who refuse to educate themselves on terminologie.) I have a "friend" who's a normie, and she's not very accepting of nonbinary people, therians, alterhumans, nonhumans, etc.

My school is definently more left-leaning and has a higher amount of LGBTQ+ and autistic students, but my classes are still filled with these kinds of people. I am closeted and hide myself for my safety.

When I get home, one of the first things I do is drop my bag, go to my room, change into comfortable clothes, and do quads. I never used to do them, and in fact, I used to be one of those therians who were annoyed by the quadrobists and gear makers on tiktok. But, over time, I opened up my views and participate in these things myself.

When I do quads, I can finally say "fuck you" to the humans who I must blend in with. God forbid I reveal my true self or act like an animal, because then, I'm a laughing stock. A freak. One of those "delusional internet furries", I think they say.

"Grow up, your not an animal. Act like it, human. What a fucking weirdo."

They'll never know what it's like to have a sense of self like I do.

(Note that I hate how furries have become synonymous with our community to outsiders. They deserve none of the hate they get. I fully support furries and the furry community.)

TIGER HRT CHAPTER 3 - MONTH 0 - BIOCHEMISTRY

It finally arrived today!!

I'm shaking with excitement as I arrive home and start opening the large package. My partner is there too, watching closely. They had expressed interest in therian HRT when I brought it up, but were a bit more hesitant about committing to it, at least until I do it first.

Besides, it's a bit of an expensive process. Not just arranging the visit to the clinic in the first place, but also getting the actual meds. Something about import costs for a potentially hazardous substance? Whatever it was, insurance wouldn't cover it, and I had to pay through the nose for it.

Inside the package is a cardboard box marked all over with "FRAGILE" labels. Inside THAT is a solid block of foam. Not like packing peanuts, but the sort of shaped styrofoam that computer monitors come packed in. Lifting out the top half of the foam, I see it. A glass bottle with a black rubber stopper, containing a blurry white fluid. Lifting up the bottle and swirling it around, the liquid inside seems slightly viscous, like maple syrup.

"What kind of RPG-ass potion bottle is this?", I wonder aloud. Noticing some labels on the opposite side, I turn the bottle around…

And immediately get the spook of my life as I recognize the biohazard trefoil.

"What in the…" Did I get sent the wrong package??

I take a look at the second label below it.

There's a bit of a smudge on the dosing information, some spilled ink maybe. I'm pretty sure I can make out what it's supposed to say, though.

My partner leans in and spots the biohazard symbol as well.

"Are you still sure you want to do this, love?"

I lean my head towards them. "Not as sure as I was five minutes ago…" I take a steadying breath. "But yeah… I think I am."

Into the kitchen. Get out a measuring spoon. Eat some snack food so I'm not on an empty stomach. Get some water ready to wash it down.

I turn to look at my partner. I know the meds take months to work, but it feels like this is the last time they'll get to see me as a full human.

They silently walk up to me and pull me into a tight hug. It's enough to give me that final bit of courage.

Carefully, I pour some of the biohazardous liquid into the measuring spoon, and then it's down the hatch.

"How's it taste?", my partner asks.

"It's…" It's weird. It tastes weird. It's like if the smell of dust after rain, petrichor I think is the word, it's like if that was combined with the sound of wind rushing through grass, and the result was a taste.

"…It tastes like running free."

I understand that people on "theriantok" are a big thing of controversy but I just think we should leave them alone. Many people that decide they "want to be a therian" will either grow out of it or realize they actually might have something nonhuman going on with them. Even I joined the communtiy barely knowing what it was, I genuinely thought it was just quadrobics and gear but now I know that I am a genuine nonhuman and have been for around two years now.

I don't think 'fake therians' are harming the community as much as people think they are. We may be bullied but we are not oppressed and do not have the means to say we are. I obviously do not condone spreading misinformation and lies but at the same time, we don't have to go out of our way to shame children for getting something wrong or acting like a 'tiktok therian/youtube therian'.

I personally believe I am very well educated on the subject due to long nights of studying and developing my knowledge through various means and I use and produce YouTube content but that doesn't mean I spread misinformation and do quads and wear gear at school or bark at people on the streets.

I'm just so done with people in our community shaming literal children for something that may be something of a Warriors phase for them. If they realize they may have something nonhuman going on with them, simply educate them to the best of your ability and they'll figure it out as they go.

Please remember, DO NOT EDUCATE IF YOU'RE NOT EDUCATED! Therians can physically be nonhuman, nonhumans don't always have past lives, nonhumans don't have to do any stereotypical alterhuman activities if they don't want to, nonhumans can become nonhuman through identities like copinglink and teen werewolves, they're are so many things everyone gets wrong, and I'm guilty of it, too. Just please learn from others and your own mistakes before lecturing someone on nonhumanity.

Child x adult ships? Dooon't appeal to me At All (usually I block tags cause they can make me really upset). Used to like one of them (billdip) but that was mostly me projecting my attraction toward Bill Cipher onto the character in the show who was the most like me... because I happened to be 10 at the time (younger than Dipper is in the show lmao). I also used that ship and the fucked up dynamics to process. Things 👍

Incest ships? Honestly I've only ever liked one of those (y'all know the one, I don't even have to say) and I've explained in detail why already. I'd say they don't bother me as much because there's not a(n inherent) consent issue but rather a "hey, this is probably not the safest foundation for a relationship," which is also true of like... massive age gaps between adults. There's also the "if you have a kid there's a higher chance they'll end up disabled (+ it's unfair to do something you Know could cause a person that much more difficult of a life) so Don't Do That" but that's. Not an issue. With the things I ship. Considering I find myself drawn more to queer ships + I often headcanon characters as intersex & unable to have kids anyway.

Selfcest ships? Okay come on I'm autosexual the answer should be clear with this one.

Human x non-human? This one's tricky because as with the first one I hate most of these (ships with consent issues Bother Me) BUT if it's like. A nonhuman that thinks/processes like a human and can consent in some way (ex: human turned animal, shapeshifter, werewolf, basically any nonhuman thing that thinks like a person but isn't shaped like one) then I can work with that. These ships appeal to me for. Therian reasons. Not a fan of them in a sexual context but like. A shapeshifter in the form of an animal that can talk and think and, y'know, everything else, being in a sort of qpr situation with a human who does things for them that they can't, and they do things that the human can't, is cool as a concept to me I cannot lie.

Aaand that's kind of. All the main ones. What's funny is that most of these I don't even like except under very specific conditions, so it was hard to go "I like this for x reason" without like. Explaining that Most Of The Time (or All Of The Time with child x adult) I Don't Even Like It...

Entering yet another year of Masters, it's time for the hopes for the year, as far as new sync pairs go.

General Pool

Opal.  Opal is demand #1 for general additions.  Like I need this.  We've had too much where she's referenced and she's still not around, it's awful.  Give me the Wizard.

Chuck.  Johto is under-represented, and Fighting is a fairly rough time in general.  I think we're well overdue for Chuck's arrival, as a strong Fighting-type pair for the general pool.

Drayden.  Specifically with Druddigon, and while some will argue, I think Support is ideal.  Anchor the optimal NC Nate/Iris core.  We also just really, really need Dragon supports.  The type is having a rough life.

Brassius.  I feel like many others from Paldea are likely to drop in PokeFair form, but Brassius feels like one that could easily be general pool.  Arboliva would be a really fun pair, too.  Kinda want Support again, not gonna lie.

Hassel.  Similar deal to above, I feel like Hassel's definitely going to be general pool instead of PokeFair, he doesn't seem to have the popularity for much more.  Which is a shame, I like Hassel a lot.

PokeFair (New Character)

Cogita.  I feel like this is nearly assured, but then again I'm also delusional.  My main hope is just...please let her in with Volo.  Just drop both at the same time.  Please.  Also give her Therian Enamorus, I love that weird turtle thing.

Cyllene.  General pool is also fine, but I feel like a lot of Hisui is just...PokeFair.  There have to be Hisui demotes, right? But I dunno, they're under no regional obligation to fill out that cast, so until shown otherwise, I anticipate they'll only add popular ones as PokeFairs. Fingers crossed Cyllene counts, because she and Abra would be great to have.

Volo.  Guaranteed.  We're already building to it, it's just a matter of when?  I'm personally hoping for Ghost Field to partner with Renegade Cynthia, but will legitimately take anything they give him.

Carmine.  I feel like it's very likely that Carmine and Kieran, who seem to be hitting a very high popularity threshold, will get the same treatment as Nemona and Penny.  Which rules.  Give me Carmine, I will die for this.

Larry/Rika/Iono - Any of the three are good, to fill in my rosters.  Electric and Ground are rough times for me, while Larry could occupy either Normal or Flying, both of which could appreciate it. If I got to pick...Iono.

PokeFair (Sygna Suits)

Sygna Suit Caitlin.  It's never going to happen.  It'll never, ever happen.  But I'll keep asking until I die. Gothitelle or we riot.

Sygna Suit Zinnia.  I think Zinnia would be a cool option to get a Sygna Suit.  She's relatively popular, Hoenn's still somewhat behind in total pairs, and again, Dragons good.  Maybe give her Tyrantrum or something.

Sygna Suit Drasna. Will this happen? Probably not. But Noivern shuold get a good focus, and I think it'd be cool. I like Drasna well enough, I could go for more of her, and Kalos is way behind.

Sygna Suit Adaman/Irida. Just putting out there. We got the Johto boys getting their legend fixation, I think it's time for Sinnoh to get similar. Origin Dialga and Palkia would be fantastic additions. Maybe Sprint Dialga given the time thing, and Field Palkia that can do Dragon Zone or Rain?

Sygna Suit Jasmine. Specifically would love Bronzong. I think that could be a fun addition to the game, having one that's actually good.

Master Fairs

Geeta.  So, here's a serious question: what are the odds of Paldea Master Fairs?  Probably low with all the NC stuff.  But!  Mirrors.  Leon dropped in March as the first Master Fair, and I believe that was when the Galar theme skill popped up.  It's possible we get Triple Master Fair half anniversary, with Geeta and either the protagonists or the professors with Koraidon/Miraidon.  I'd really like that.  Please, let Geeta in, and let her be ridiculous.

Alola NCs.  Lillie, Gladion, Lusamine.  Magearna, Zeraora/Melmetal, Nihilego.  Come on, don't fail me.  If any one gets in, let it be Lusamine.

Johto NCs.  Kris and Silver.  Silver is a guarantee, but I'd like to see Kris get one with this event.  Suicune was fantastic, but I'd really like to see Kris get more.  She's so under-appreciated.

Seasonal/Special Costume Scouts

New Years Clair.  In contrast to Lance.  I'd like to see Dragonair, I'd like to see three attacks Dynamax Field/Strike pair.  Consider.

Palentine's Caitlin and Cynthia.  This needs to be a set.  It will never, EVER happen, but I want to believe there's hope. In an ideal world, I'd say Caitlin with Indeedee, and Cynthia with either Roserade or Spiritomb.

Halloween Valerie.  I feel like you could do something interesting with a spooky Fairy type and a Valerie costume.

SC Erika.  I still kinda want to see a dance themed SC event, with Kiawe getting something and Erika getting her Bellossom. Maybe Fantina and Frillish too, if we don't get a Contest themed thing.

New Years/Summer Akari. I'm thinking maybe New Years if Clair doesn't happen, otherwise Summer is safe. I want Hisuian Zoroark, with a nice outfit, similar to what N got.

Variety Scouts

Maison Sisters.  While it would be late in the year, I'd like to see the Maison sisters get focus.  They're clearly not popular enough for big money appearances, but I think they could do a cute 4-person Variety scout like they did with Kanto E4.  Give Dana Articuno and I'll forgive you for Red.

Any event with Looker, Anabel, and Emma. I'm not deluded enough to think they'll actually get good treatment, given how hard they bodied Looker and underplayed Anabel and Snorlax. But getting good Variety pairs would be something. Quite possibly the best they could hope for.

Rock Pals. I think this group could stand to get a little play. Roxanne, Brock, and Roark are pretty low popularity overall, and could get some really interesting picks. Roxanne and Relicanth as a fun pair, Brock and maybe Omastar or Kabutops, and Roark with Aerodactyl? I'd like the Aero to be Flying, Omastar could do a sort of Variety Giovanni thing with Water/Ice coverage as a Rock, and Roxanne could do some kind of shenanigans around Head Smash DPS or something, maybe weather effects.

Darach. Just give my man something. Empoleon with Special Steel damage, Gallade as Psychic Support to partner with Caitlin, Houndoom if you're so inclined. Maybe even Entei. Just anything.

Lodge Pairs

Zinnia and Whismur. Before I get too far into this list, I should note: I am trying to be realistic. No 3-4* pair has gotten a Lodge alt. Even among free pairs, only the 5*s have been allowed in. So there's no reason to expect any different, and thus no reason to expect pairs I desperately want, like Roxanne, Clair, and Valerie, let alone someone with real popularity like Iris. So let's talk Zinnia. Because they seem to favor the Legendary pairs, given we got Sycamore, Silver, and for some reason, Giovanni. I think Zinnia would be a great pair, and I think Whismur would be a really fun pick, given Aster. "But she doesn't battle with-" irrelevant, there's always time to learn. Have some imagination.

Caitlin and Musharna. This is so viable. Caitlin's a 5*, she's reasonably popular, come on. Musharna feels like the best pick. It's a sleepy Pokemon for a sleepy lady. I don't even care what it does, just do the thing.

Lisia and Kirlia. Look. I like that Lodge gives pre-evolution forms. I think pre-evos are cool and need somewhere to do stuff. Lisia, who doesn't have a defined team, is free game for anything cute, and I think Kirlia is a great pick. Cute middle stage constantly overshadowed by its more popular final evolution Gardevoir, and it has a performer vibe that meshes well with Lisia. Think about it.

Lusamine and Lilligant. I don't really expect Lilligant to get the feature of the next Lusamine pair, and considering my need for Nihilego, I'd probably be a bit upset if it were. But it would make a great Lodge pair. Tech damage dealer with reasonable options and slap Sleep Powder in there and she's a golden pick.

Cyrus and Weavile. I think F2P Dark is in a rough spot. Nanu's good, but more for utility. Meanwhile, BP Karen has a tendency to die from recoil. The general pool 5*s are good, but fully free Dark is really hard to work with. I think a free Dark-type Weavile would be a nice addition from Lodge. Plus listen. Legendary pairs are viable. Cyrus is actively a redeemed villain at this point. I need to see this man trying to blunder his way through conversation. Just imagine the Special Day with Cyrus. Think of how cringe it will be.

Kris and Noctowl. Because Kris would never get Noctowl with a Neo Champion alt, I'll hope for it here instead. I really want her to get Noctowl. It might be my favorite regional bird, and I think the whole knowledge association works well. Plus, Falkner doesn't get a Noctowl until his rematch in HGSS, and it's not even a prominent part of his team.

BP Pairs

Roxanne and Golem.  Same demand as always, let Roxanne get her Golem.  Make it Ground again so there's an F2P Ground type that isn't garbage.

Gordie and Barbaracle.  We still need more Galar pairs to be on the F2P side.  It's really, really bad out there for a game that's been here for like three years.

Nemona and Dudunsparce.  Speaking of, can we please just get some tools for Paldea F2P early?  Since it doesn't seem like we'll get a free Legendary pair this time?

Shauna.  Flexible on what she gets specifically, but I would like to see Shauna get some focus.  My heart wants to say Braixen, but I'll take whatever.

Master BP It's Morgan, but please give her Virizion.  Also I'll guess maybe MC Tapu Fini for Water Teamwork.  Just also give them all EX, for god's sake.

General Grid Expansion

Lusamine.  Since apparently I have to plead with this game to get Bug damage, please give Lusamine actual multipliers or I will start biting.

Jasmine.  Jasmine is so pathetic as a support that it's actually depressing.  I really, really want to see better out of her kit. First Aid would be nice. Either Sp Def or Spd on entry for the team so the mega evolution matters more. Maybe crit boosting somewhere? Just anything to fix her myriad issues.

Looker.  "But Plumeria is-" Looker's worse.  Plumeria has better off-type damage and actual utility in high speed and the flinch rate on Smog.  Looker needs this so, so much worse than Plumeria does, despite being more recent.  They absolutely massacred my man. Give him Haymaker, give him another 30% on move damage, give Staggering Poison Sting so he also has some flinch utility, just fix this tragedy.

Lisia.  Sincerely, I think we are well over due.  Lisia desperately needs something.  I understand she has some versatile use, but she's not really good at any of it.  It's really the CS focus that struggles, similar to Lysandre did pre-expansion.  Towering Force, Weather Wipe to answer Moltres, whatever else you really want.  Girl just needs help for damage and ensuring all field effects are cleared for her sync.

Serena.  I'll go ahead and say it: at no point since I started playing, after hearing about how good Serena was and getting Delphox early, has she ever once lived up to the hype.  Sleep has always been strong, but never as game-breaking as people made it out to be, and AoE sleep in particular actually feels wholly detrimental compared to single-target sleep.  Add in that she has a bad sync nuke for a Tech, a condition she struggles to fill around her sleep chaining with Trap, and poor self-setup, and Serena's in an awful position.  I think Delphox deserves better.

PokeFair Grid Expansion I assume we're still doing these, but it's been a long fucking time.

Sygna Suit Cynthia.  Seriously, she's an ancient pair and is literally the only one from that era without an expansion.  She's not even good!  Just give her something already, goddammit!

Steven.  I think he really needs part 2, if he's going to stand out.  Like come on, we're overdue on this.

SS Dawn.  We did.  SO many modern pairs.  But somehow we haven't made SS Dawn better.  We made SS Morty better, and he's one of the top meta pairs two years running.  Dawn needs legitimate help she's not getting.  Fix it.

Anni Skyla. How we got the others and not her is beyond me. It's been ages, guys. I know her kit is already good and I don't really have great suggestions either, but come on. At least try.

SC Rosa. Now this one I have suggestions for. A major detriment of SC Rosa is lack of compression. She needs her debuffs for sync, which can't reliably be done by anyone else, but often misses her Sp Def debuffs, which is her innate debuff. She needs too much, and barring Lucian, no one provides without compounding gauge issues. Rosa could use a means of gauge management, and something to potentially debuff Sp Def off of Sweet Scent.

Master Fair Role Additions This is more about preferred role, than who I hope gets it.   Though we have a lot of Master Fairs, so like.  That'll be fun.

SS Lusamine: Support.  Feels very, very confirmed, given SS Serena, but I'm nervous about it.  I think the Support effect is her best bet for raw damage, but Tech and Field aren't the outright worst possibilities.

SS Kris: Field.  Field isn't great on Supports, but for a pair like Kris who lives entirely in the Rain, getting a free use with extension removes any need for her Rain grid, and maximizes the effects she gets under that field effect.

Aura Cynthia: Sprint.  She can't nuke, nor can she deal damage.  If I see Tech, heads are going to roll.  We all know you're giving SST Red Strike or Field, just let Cynthia be just as disgusting, alright?

Adaman: Support. "But Strike is-" no no, listen to me. Not everything needs AoE. Adaman tends to want every sync for Sun, so Support makes good sense. He's already absurdly powerful on offense, so the added bulk just makes his tank Synthesis set that much more devastating. This is in a similar vein to my honest belief that SST Red should get Field over Strike; Strike is overkill they don't need, while the alternative offers a much more dynamic approach.

Irida: Field. By contrast, while Irida has claim to running Strike because her sync isn't as devastating and she wants to compress DPS, consider Field. She has no MPR on Ice Zone, and her passive specifically states "When the allied field of play turns into an Ice Zone," not when she uses the move. This would set Zone and Hail simultaneously just before her sync, and extend the Zone duration, without breaking DPS pace to set it manually.

Anni Lillie: Support. After a tremendous amount of soul searching, I have come to a conclusion. It does not matter what role Lillie gets. Nothing will save her. The second anniversary pairs are bad now. They're actively the worst Master Fairs, now that Leon got a Max Move. In Steven's case, stats are bad. In N's case, kit is too slow. In Lillie's case, grid is hot fucking garbage. In none of these cases is EX Role going to make anything better. They need grid expansions yesterday, and the role is a bandaid on a broken leg. But since this is all we're being offered, I desperately hope they get them because I adore this set, best anniversary pairs by a mile, and I hope Lillie gets support. I think pairs with two types of DPS should skew Support to best facilitate both, but moreover, consider Lillie's strengths and weaknesses. Lillie is a DPS pair with an absolutely shit-tier sync thanks to the insult of Brain Sync 3. However, she has Potion, Healthy Benefits 5, and Recuperation on sync for gauges. Survival is her gimmick, and sync is used more for beneficial effect than damage. Lillie is an ideal candidate for Support, which helps ease her one and only Gauntlet Solo against Uxie, and provides the best jump in DPS when taking her own sync. I know many are hoping Tech for the damage boost, but it is nowhere near enough without an expansion that gives her a proper Brainpower.

I have a mutual who says it's transsage and trassnspecies and that "otherkin/therians and transspecies are brothers we are in the brotherhood. Transage is, for many people, a trauma thing." it responded to an ask saying that being a rq is harmful with "unfollow me then LMAO". this is a minor, and I sometimes see it interacting with adults. I mention this because even though it claimed to be anti-proship, some of these adults are like, "I'm not proship but I fit the definition" so you're proship then??? (so called "neutralshippers" who turn out to actually be either staunchly proship or antiship piss me off) these adults also post nsfw stuff and allow minors to interact. I lowkey think my mutual is being groomed, but I don't wanna make assumptions…what do I do? It's such a nice and funny person, I don't want it to turn for the worse, but I risk getting blocked and smeared as someone hateful. plus one of its moots said, "why are we the transgenders cool for breaking the constructs and fucking around but these others that people make out to be only ever constantly in purposeful bad faith not as cool and sick ??? I dont really get it." there's no indication of whether they're an adult or minor. I don't really know what to say other than it seems unconsciously TERF-ish. I also don't think it's "cool" to be a white person wanting to be black or something like that. that doesn't break any constructs it's just racist. what do you say to that?

unfortunately you can't force your mutual to listen to you. however you could offer them an ear I'd they need one, maybe voice your concerns over DMs without accusing them of being a bad person, etc. however, it's very likely they'll snap and don't want to listen, yell at you or whatever - people don't like to hear what they're doing is not as cool as they think it is. nobody wants to be the bad guy, naturally...
