thinking about eddie first thing in the morning. how he's notoriously difficult to wake. always straining to remain in his dreams, whether intentional or not, petulantly reluctant to break through that heavy blanket of sleep. so by the time he shuffles out into the kitchen, mismatched socks pulled on his feet to shield his toes from the poorly insulated laminate in the trailer's kitchen — you've probably already been up for a while

the fading scent of his aftershave from the day before just barely lingers, overtaken by the smell of last night's cigarettes and a warm, musky scent brought out by sleep that's just eddie. it never fails to make your stomach flip, it happens every time he plasters himself to your back to leech some of your warmth. and the way his fingers always manage to find the bare skin of your hip beneath your shirt, even with his eyes half-closed. it's like clockwork, the grunted "g'morning" that gets muffled against your skin as his face has already burrowed into the warm curve of your neck.

then there's the innocent, sleepy kiss he places to your neck before the smell of freshly brewed coffee actually processes in his brain enough to realize you've got a full pot ready and that you're already grabbing his favorite mug from the cabinet and filling it up for him, completely unprompted, and he'll audibly groan in thanks, god he loves you.

you separate only because you both know that he absolutely cannot be trusted *not* to spill hot coffee over the rim of his cup when he's still half-asleep, but that sliver of distance allows you to take in the mussed bedhead of his curls, flat to his head on one side and fluffed up beyond belief on the other. you're wordlessly straightening out his bangs with gentle fingers as he takes the first few long swigs of his coffee.

and with a little caffeine in your favorite boy, he finally perks up, becomes a little more himself. and that's when your day truly starts

The Limit

“Has there ever been a more… impossible man,” Stephen hissed. Cloak sighed, this again. “I swear, that man is the most infuriating man in existence. I could strangle him.”

Stephen could also just give into his desires and kiss Tony already. Cloak suspected that if Stephen weren’t so busy fighting his suppressed desires he’d end up far less irritated than he always was. As it was, Stephen was so busy burying himself in the rivers of denial that he was irritated by everything.

Stephen kept muttering to himself as he stormed through the halls of the sanctum, several doors opening and shutting in agitation at the foul mood of the Master of the Sanctum.

The cloak sighed again, wrapping Stephen up a little in comfort until he started calming down.

“I swear, I hope I don’t see that man any time soon,” Stephen continued. The cloak sighed again. Because this happened every time. Stephen had to remind himself that he wasn’t in love with Tony.

Not that it seemed to work.

If Cloak had eyes they would roll them, as it was, they flipped their bottom lining in exasperation. Stephen would last a week before he came up with some excuse that meant that he just had to see Tony Stark. Even if he’d complain about it the whole time.

That was if Tony didn’t break first and come find Stephen. Cloak had it on good authority—DUM-E and U—that Tony was just as bad as Stephen about his feelings and his complete denial of them.

It really was a miracle that the two of them were so remarkably competent in the other aspects of their lives when they were both so painfully incompetent in this one. Cloak had known many, many humans in his time. These two were perhaps the most emotionally obtuse of all of them.

Cloak was getting tired of it. For one, Cloak cared for their chosen human’s happiness and was quite certain that engaging in a healthy relationship with Tony Stark would only increase Stephen’s happiness. For another, there was only so much desperate, oblivious pining that they could handle before they reached their limit.

Cloak had reached their limit.

The next time Stephen Strange and Tony Stark faced each other, they were going to admit they loved each other.

The cloak would make sure of it.

Finally started playing Control (better late than never, haha...I can't believe it took me this long) and as expected, I'm absolutely loving it. I feel spoiled now that I've unlocked the ability to levitate, every other game is going to feel lacking in comparison after this.

GOD maybe it's just me but could you imagine being one of sophie's friends when they got sorted at exillium? you're safely on the ground (potentially pants-less), Sophie's the only one left, you're nervous watching her dangle in the sky but confident she can get herself out of this--she can basically do the impossible. and then in the span of like 20 seconds you watch her catch herself on fire with a necklace fall out of the sky get drenched and slammed into a gate and then pass out on the ground in a heap. like that is a HILARIOUS mental image to me. soggy sophie in a slump <3

I love playing Pokémon S/V trying to find allies to fight a flying terra pokémon that's normally ground.

"Imma bring my electric.." its weak to ground. "Rock is good" Weak to ground. "Iron hands beats everything" its gonna get oneshot because you're gonna cut its HP in half causing it to die to the first earthquake!

ok but also??? anyone who has a cat needs to get a pill popper syringe right the fuck now it's actually bananas that ppl are asked to pill their cats by hand and not let know these things exist??? you can use them dry, but also you can siphon up a tiny bit of water, put the pill into that little claw, and then when you push the depressor, the stick on the inside shoots the pill out and my god mY GOD GAMECHANGER SITUATION HOLY FUCK

my little beast literally refuses to fall for the same pill disguise trick twice, and has an actual note on her vet file that she's a 'fractious cat' so imagine how well hand-pilling was going. this has made the whole situation so much less stressful for the both of us - the water encourages her to swallow so she can't hide the thing in her mouth and spit it out, and i'm so much more confident placing it properly at the back of her mouth. seriously 30 seconds and we're done i could CRY FOREVER best €5.99 i've ever spent in my life 🙌

Poking at character builds, thinking about multiclassing.

Honestly, I can fix at least a few of Astarion's problems just by multiclassing him as a wizard (we have a headband of intellect, he'll be fine). No reflection? Mirror image. Don't have the powers of a full vampire? Gaseous form, dominate person and polymorph are wizard spells, so that's a few of them. Also vampiric touch, for an echo of older editions' energy drain. And then there's necromancy, which is always a favourite amongst vampires for making their retinue of undead servants (ignoring the fact that he gets squeamish around ghouls).
