What are the crack theories 🎤
short version: shane is the son of the witch & the wizard & got his memories erased. boom.
long version:
"rose what the fuck" LISTEN.
this is known. the witch is the wizard's ex-wife. he mentions after they split she began flying around the countryside cursing everything.
and then marnie has this dialogue when u talk to her in the ranch:
the noise could've been anything given wtf the wizard is doing HOWEVER. u could say the terrible noise was her hearing the witch & the wizard fighting/arguing. why?
we all know this theory. it's a very strong theory given dialogue from the wizard, caroline, pierre, & abigail herself (contradictory dialogue exists too, like saying abigail's hair is dyed & she naturally has brown hair like pierre)
but i'm adding more to this.
shane & jas are godfather & goddaughter, respectfully. shane & jas are also both marnie's nephew & niece. so?? my hc is that shane had a sibling (i go with an older sister) who got married & had jas, named shane her godfather. he avoids acknowledging his sibling's death hence why he says godfather, not uncle, & never brings the sibling up. they have hair like jas's. shane's hair is natural (it's never mentioned as dyed sooooooo)
now. there's this smaller, not as commonly accepted theory that jas is the wizard's daughter due to her having a very similar skin tone & purple hair. i'm going with granddaughter :)
and i'm going with abigail being the biological daughter of the wizard & caroline, which would make shane & her half siblings.
but they don't know that :)
to continue down this rabbit hole, in the witch's hut are the three dark shrines. memory, selfishness, & night terrors. only two to focus on for this are memory & selfishness.
bc the wizard was going to use them.
with the way the farmer just like. has access to the witch's hut from the wizard's tower after completing the quest... that had to have been there. maybe when they were married it was just the place to keep the dark shrines & do other things. but then the wizard cheats & caroline gets pregnant with abigail.
the wizard was planning on erasing the witch's memory & turning shane & his sibling into doves to avoid consequences of his actions. at this point he feels no remorse, only that it'll be a hinderance in what he's trying to do. esp bc at this point, neither shane nor his sibling are showing they've got magical abilities like him or the witch. shane is like, 5 years old by this point (marnie is not magical, but she is the witch's sister).
the witch finds out, & their fight is the dreadful noise marnie heard. the witch keeps him from getting to the shrines but in the end, he uses smth else, a spell, to erase the memories of shane & his sibling of him & the witch, who is so angry, but she can't let him get to the shrines. her children losing their memories is better than turning into doves never to be seen again. she's able to get them to marnie, but then she makes the decision to erase marnie's memory for the sake of shane & his sibling, as well as marnie. (to stay away from the wizard).
shane & his sibling move on, end up in the foster care system (marnie believes her sister & her husband have gone missing & eventually gives up trying to remember bc it feels like ages ago). shane & his sibling visit often though, mostly during summers. but his memory wipe is why shane says he never had much of a family & why he doesn't believe in magic.
the wizard never expects shane is become a true resident of the valley again. but when shane does, the wizard has given up by this point & has moved on. he feels remorse now, but he also doesn't try to ammend, seeing no point as it's been nearly 30 years. the witch has lost herself in her anger & curses throughout the valley as the wizard explains.
until one spirit's even when she is going to curse an unsuspecting ranch house & sees someone walking towards it. he makes her pause. he's familiar. she can't quite put her finger on it. shane goes inside, completely unaware. and that's that.
...
until the witch decides to go find out for herself :)
(shit hits the fan from here but this post is long enough & entering more like. story/fic territory... which i do wanna write LMAO)

betty! the last asked mentioned how Eddie is very much a hoe (respectfully) and I remember Erica telling reader how he’s always been good to her, and I know Eddie doesn’t treat his lady of the nights terribly (besides charlene now) but you see most of the time in those situations it’s strictly pump, dump, goodbye! so what does she mean by “good” to her? like he’s nice during the deed and doesn’t kick her out after or? I know no one spends the night but does he let them kind of hold him for a bit until it’s awkward? or is it never awkward bc he is so tight knit with who he keeps as a regular? I know charlene also said her and eddie had something “special” I know she’s delusional but does eddie have some feeling for his past affairs before reader? I know he’s also still scarred from his last relationship and he loves intimacy from what it seems, so does he like seek connection when he has sex?
also i’m sorry if this is scattered or word vomit ): I adore the series so much!!! I just want to crack him open and learn him omg. Also the need to nurture that man dear lord 😮💨
Oh absolute respect to all the hoes, I am also one. I love getting asks about this story so much you don't even know 😭 Okay, so, Erica
first. Sadly, I don't think Erica has had many encounters with men who treat women with respect or give a second thought to their pleasure. Eddie always makes pleasing his sexual partners a priority, even if he doesn't love them. Also, Erica's been around for a while, and I'm sure there is a part of him that does care about her. He's probably protected her at times, made sure she was comfortable, asked if she got home safely: very baseline things that have been thus far missing in her life. I think she is also quite a bit younger than him (early 20's) both in age and maturity, so a connection was never made on his end.
CHARLENE gah! She is delusional, but the wild part is, when I first imagined her character, Eddie really did like her, and they had a full-fledged relationship going on. He wasn't in love with her, but after how neglected he was as a kid, being made fun of for being poor, and then being discarded like trash by his ex---his self-esteem was in the dumps. Then here comes this wealthy, beautiful, older woman (Eddie is early 30's and she is mid-40's) and she's buying him things and begging for his cock, and giving him all the attention he rightfully deserves (manipulation, if it's coming from her) and it really made him feel good. We all know that Eddie is very possessive of his woman when he's in love (or falling in love) so the fact that he was okay with Charlene already being married tells us that he wasn't in TOO deep.
It might sound silly, but Eddie never held Charlene's hand or left origami notes on her car, I can tell you that much. Sure as hell would've never introduced her to Oliver. There is this really soft, adoring, sweet side of Eddie that he shows when he is all in and he's been told before that he's too sappy and smothering, but he's been dying to be that way with someone again.
Omg, this is so long 🙃 But his main love language is physical touch (along with acts of service) and that's why he has to be touching reader every chance he gets. When we finally get to the actual intercourse in this series (after a long list of story line cock blocks) I know it will be so achingly sweet and intense, with lots of filthy dirty talk, and I think reader will surprise him 👉👈

So, genuinely and respectfully, I have a question. Your previous anons about Vanessa and why people don't like Kaia got me thinking. It seems like the more hard-core fandom is split into people who like Kaia and vocally support the relationship, and people who don't like her and are vocal about thinking it's PR or that they'll break up. I have seen people who don't like her say it's PR, they're not soulmates, she's a nepo baby, etc. I've also seen people who do like her say they'll get married and have kids, and handwave away anything about her that comes across as problematic. Both sides are also very vocal about thinking the other side is delusional, from what I can tell. My question is: if they were to break up and he dated someone else, do you think Kaia's supporters would dislike the new girlfriend in the same way her detractors dislike her? I'm not suggesting that you (or anyone else) necessarily would, but your anon about Vanessa in particular made me wonder. If he dated someone else, it would be easy for people to nitpick the new person simply because she was *not* Kaia, or insist that the new relationship wouldn't last. Or call her *insert negative personal attack here* in comparison. I'm not saying that's what would happen, or accusing you or anyone else of anything. I'm just curious to know your thoughts on whether, if Austin and Kaia did break up, Kaia's supporters/fans specifically would dislike the new girlfriend by default. This is more of a psychological 'let's put on our how women treat women in the social media sphere goggles' type of question than anything else, but I just wondered if you had thoughts.
i actually love doing fandom psychology LOL so don't apologize!
me personally, while i'd be bummed if they split bc i really like them together- anyone austin was with that wasn't like, genuinely problematic i'd "accept" him with. i want him to be happy more than i want him to be/not be with any one specific person. whatever that looks like- so long as it doesn't appear to be genuinely harmful or something, i'll trust his judgement calls on his own life.
whether i would make those calls myself or not. like for example, i joke a little sometimes about how the ppl who hate kaia would be throwing even bigger fits if he ended up with alana champion (a model he followed that 2021 summer he was single. no proof they were ever ~involved~, hence my being jokey about this). not bc she's a bad person- i don't dislike her personally! but bc just objectively ppl who wanted to nitpick would imo find more to nitpick. she's good friends with dasha of red scare pod fame and i just...can you imagine if austin was in that circle and we were doing red scare pod discourse on here as opposed to "kaia can't act" discourse lmfao. we got lucky! but i say that to say even so, if it was alana he found his happiness with i would've been ~fine~.
if they broke up i wouldn't endorse others being nitpicky about this hypothetical new girl if wasn't actually problematic or a "bad person". though i mean, i'm human and not without my own biases. so i think it'd take me a hot minute to "adjust" since at this point i am genuinely a fan of kaia on her own! but idk if i'd blast any of those hypothetical feelings all over in public posts as opposed to just dming my friends about it. (a self control skill i think more people could use lol!)
i feel like im word salading here so hopefully i made sense!

Re: Piers feeling rejected by Meg: I'm glad you brought this up bc I've been dying to make this point: harassing women isn't always just catcalling and it isn't always sexual, but a lot of men don't seem to understand that. Male entitlement goes far beyond sex, misogynistic men feel that women owe them respect, favors, kindness, friendship, career opportunities, etc. especially if they consider that women 'beneath them' (read: non white) and especially if they feel they did said woman a favor (read: be vaguely nice to them once.) Like that one scene in Mad Men where Joan reprimands a guy for messing up a business deal and he says 'i thought you were going to be fun.' Meaning-- I obvi don't know Piers or William, but I think Piers' anger is that he assumed since he knew Meg he would always have a scoop. Like he would be her go-to for announcements and press statements and leaks, and when that didn't happen he lashed out. The press punishes you for not speaking to them. With William, who knows. Maybe he felt entitled to undying loyalty and silence and obedience as the heir and future head of the family. Judging by how people were mad at her 'woke agenda' I'm guessing a lot of these dudes felt entitled to Meghan being subservient and quiet and look at them all starry-eyed for allowing her to marry in, and she had self worth and dared to disagree w them and people couldn't handle that.
Hmm. While I think this is a very fair and balanced take, I also think there are several layers of context and discussion not really taken into account here.
Will’s behavior is absolutely up for discussion, because it can read as many things at once. But removing the elements of sexual entitlement in Piers’ behavior doesn’t make sense, respectfully. Nothing about his rage and hatred of her reads as professional anger in any way. It has been both alluded to and explicitly stated by several journalists and individuals that Piers’ hatred reads more as sexual/romantic entitlement and jealousy and not pure journalistic disrespect. He was called on it on social media and promptly deactivated for a couple of weeks back in 2021.
He did feel entitled to her because he asked her out on a “date”, and she appeared to have a good time. He had ulterior motives. If it was about being the “scoop” he would never have fixated on the “date” they had years before.
A smart journalist who felt disrespected would have used the fact that the two of them had a cordial relationship, and aimed to remain in her good graces to eventually get other scoops, like Omid and others did. Piers did not.
Harassment is entirely about power, but sex and power are inextricably linked under the patriarchy. Especially for women of color. Entitlement to women encapsulates all of those spheres, including sexual entitlement. We are hypersexualized and desexualized all at once. By her accepting that dinner with him, he immediately felt as though she was accepting him romantically/sexually, and that she should accept him because she is nonwhite and he is a white man. Her engagement filled him with rage, so much so that he has continued to hate her for years afterward, and actively sought to destroy her and possibly have her take her own life. That’s sexual entitlement taken up to 100.
Not to mention his disdain for her choice of partner. He would have been pissed no matter who she married, but the fact that she married Prince Harry set him off even more. She chose a man significantly better than him in every way. Harry is younger, titled, in the line of succession, and has a better reputation than Piers does. He is disgusted that Meghan not only “rejected” him, but managed to find a better partner. His hatred extends to Harry, which makes him even more dangerous. This is not journalistic envy, this is retaliation for wounded romantic pride. The press has absolutely punished her for not playing the game, but Piers has not led this charge out of professional grievance. The press doesn’t hate her, they like the clicks and revenue. Piers hates her.
The example you’re looking for for a man who was upset she wasn’t meek and quiet is Charles. He was happy to walk her down the aisle and constantly be seen with her until she decided to actually work and not just say yes and only speak when spoken to. Will’s anger is not nearly as controlled as Charles’ is, largely because I don’t think it’s coming from the same place. Charles is the one who demands undying loyalty by virtue of now leading the house. It’s why he cut Harry off the minute he no longer complied.
Will, who we now know (we didn’t know this when you sent this message) was a fan of hers and watched her show religiously with his wife, and was, by 99% of accounts, welcoming when they were first introduced and right up until Harry decided to marry her, suddenly feeling an anger so powerful he was willing to nearly beat up his brother does not read as anger over her not being subservient enough or not following the family blindly.
I promise, men like that, who are so deeply entrenched in their racism can, and often do, get pissed at the fact that they’re attracted to nonwhite women. I saw it at my university, and I see it now in certain circles. To be honest, Meg didn’t even need to actively reject an advance from Will. He might have expected her to be a hypersexual title chaser who would be more impressed by him and was shocked when she was only focused on his brother. Her not playing the part that he, a racist, had put her in in his mind, was also a rejection.
We obviously don’t know the motivations for these two men. But when comparing Charles’ anger, which we know to be motivated by his annoyance at her not sitting silently and looking pretty (and at her being biracial) to the anger of these two men...

Respectfully,,,,,,,, can you please marry me?? How can you be this perfect??? Yes, I know school 2013, I was obsessed with it back then~ I started watching bc Jang Nara (my only and one love, my wife) was in it and stayed for the Gay™ and the amazingly good acting. It was Woobin debut, I think,,, and my first Jongsuk drama~ they're both so good!
I'm interested ma'am!!!! Pls do ittt~ god youuur braaaaain~~~~~
*Chefs kiss* your whole existence is *chefs kiss*
Also, Dongsik and Juwon fighting over teaching styles~ being annoying to each other in class, the Fond™ stares/smiles when the other is not looking,,,,, god, I wish I was their student, don't know how to feel about it, but I'm feeling,,,, a lot,,,
No, but now I will be dreaming about this crossover and I will be rewatching school 13~ thank you again for the brain food~ keep going, you doing amazing,,, amem
anon..........i am blushing right now :')) (also omg,,,,,,,,a fellow school 2013 and beyond evil fan...i didn't know there were any of us who existed :')) and yes, i absolutely adore jang na ra (love of my life too, she's honestly so talented and seems like a genuinely kind and honest person. also, apparently she acted in a kdrama with shin ha kyun before? although i've never watched mr. baek/back, i've considered it, if only because shin ha kyun and jang na ra...but also idk how to feel about the plot lol)
but also, yes, i do like to sneak in some school 2013 crossovers into fic every once in a while, more specifically in beyond evil fic, idk why (maybe it's the fact that i love these two sets of queer boys...). i really like to think that go nam soon and park heung soo go into their criminology class thinking okay, here we go, new beginning, and then they're suddenly introduced to cold and aloof professor han joo won and the eccentric but warmhearted professor lee dong sik, and they watch the two of them fighting...go nam soon and park heung soo trudge back to their apartment, crash into bed, and for a second, the two of them can just go "heol".
go nam soon and park heung soo absolutely update the situation to jung in jae. their texts both get increasingly more frustrated, and at one point nam soon goes, "jung ssaem, can't you just learn criminology? they're driving me insane :///".
jung in jae also relays these updates to kang se chan, who is absolutely her husband at this point, and he just smirks to himself because he also totally knows where this is going. ("aigoo, what to do about them...but also, they can't be that bad, can they?")
the four of them are all on the campus (nam soon and heung soo are delighted to see in jae, and they're still a little awkward around se chan), but they give a tour and run into professors han and lee. it's a tad awkward because oh, whaddya know, the professors are holding hands? (little do they know that actually literally ten minutes ago, lee dong sik and han joo won both finally broke and messily, angrily confessed that actually, i really admire you and i didn't just kiss you because of some childish bet, i kissed you because i wanted to kiss you and i don't know why i did but anyways what i'm getting at is i guess i actually...like you what the fuck, i know)
everyone's eyes light up, and dong sik cheerfully chats with teachers jung and kang, while joo won glares lasers into nam soon and heung soo's skulls (not a word of this. NOT A WORD.)
(heung soo and nam soon just snicker about it in bed later.
"heung soo-yah, what to do...do you think we'll ever get rid of lovesick teachers?"
"no."
"hm...should we just become teachers ourselves then?"
"shut up and go to sleep, you punk.")
