Shredder wears a green fur-hooded vest complete with light artificially designed long boots. He occasionally wears a cream-colored sweater in his attire. During a mission, he puts on a mask including a cloth that was also artificially designed.

- He's the same size and height as most beans, though in my headcanon he is slightly shorter than Killer Bean. 

Character Description:

One of the remaining shadow beans is Lucas Flat White (a.k.a Shredder Bean). The fastest assassin fights with two silver sickles, displaying engraved symbols of two white orcas. He may appear intimidating and mysterious when encountered, but once his facial gear gets ripped off, the worry instantly dies down, the moment you take a glimpse of his face. His normal looks contrast from his sharp, slightly glooming attire to his light, soft, calming demeanor. He may be quick to slice beans in the back but would slow down to spare others if they begged for mercy. Unlike his "reckless inspiration" (Killer Bean), he challenges the spared beans to prove that they're worthy of living, on the condition that they would complete what he asks them to do, unbeknownst to the agency. He takes amusement in making others work if they plead for a second chance. As cruel as this sounds, this is a perfect advantage for Lucas, given he's sympathetic and prefers to maintain his morality by doing what's right and fair to both parties. Even though he's assigned to kill, he thought it wouldn't hurt to spare some beans (even if they would last for a few seconds after failing to win against Shredder) Afterall, the shadow beans are trained to protect civilians from threats or some form of evil among them. At least that's what's been taught by the agency. 

Getting to know him outside his mission may seem simple judging by his chill and non-uptight attitude. However, you'll slowly learn that he's quite talkative, bold, and sometimes cocky which makes him annoying to some, especially Killer Bean. 

(Minimum) Background/Origins/Backstory [CURRENTLY UNCOMPLETED.]:

Even though he was raised in a warm environment (a farm), his preferences had transitioned from warm to cold environments as Lucas learns he functions well in much cooler locations, which explains why he wears warm clothes and fights in the cold. His skill in harvesting and cutting through long bulking plants with dull sickles, would eventually become his primary skill in combat, which the agency encouraged then provided a new pair of sickles as his weapon of choice.

🫘 Spill the beans. What’s a new project you’re doing this year?

I got this twice, and I SWEAR I was gonna answer a lil bit differently bc it's fine to have multiple projects (but watch out!!!!!). But literally as I was typing this out I...... forgot..... what the other project was.... and I have ruminated on it for at least 30 minutes, so it's gone-gone. Sorry the brainfog is real y'all lmao

👾 Do you have any “bad” writing habits you want to break?

Feeling super compelled to write when I'm doing literally anything else, but then blue screening the second I sit down in front of the computer 💀 That's a tough one.

I'm also trying to break myself of "editing" as I write. Bc then I end up "editing" the same part(s) over and over again without making PROGRESS. I need to start cruisin it and not constantly look over what i've already got. I been trying to train myself outta this by writing on paper! Like the whole damn scene or whatever. And THEN as i'm typing it up, make edits and stuff.

even if I do read over it I CANT make edits on paper with the same ease as the computer so there's no point

it takes me longer to physically write it by hand, so i'm pausing longer to Think abt each sentence before I even commit it to paper

i've not got my face stuck to a screen half as much.

I'll be real, I'm pretty excited to be working on 'project aster'. I love to be like "give that man a BABY!" just truly shocked it's sth that pulled me (as if I didn't start (and then not finish 💀) a "Donnie accidentally/on purpose clones himself and makes a baby girl" fic bc whoever the hell originally came up with that idea is a flippin genuis, I HAD to ride the serotonin wave)

I'm not gonna ramble abt PA rn bc i'm still cookin, but I WILL drop a snippet from the Dad-atello one, because I actually read through it the other day and it still makes me laugh:

"Alright, Dad," Donnie says, in all seriousness, "I know this is going to be difficult, but I need you to power through your depression-period memories and tell me whether I should start her off with baby formula or turtle food."

Splinter shrugs.

“I don’t know.”

“Dad, what do you mean you don’t know you literally raised four - count them, four - one, two, three, and four - mutant turtles!”

“Well, yes, technically,” Splinter fumbles. Donnie has to allow him that. Technically. “But that does not make me an expert! Besides, this one is baby-shaped! You were all shaped like slightly-larger-than-average turtles with weirdly long and adorable limbs!”

Donnie throws his hands up in despair.

"Of course I would perfect the turtle-human hybrid!"

Splinter goes on, clearly wracking his brain, “I don’t think I started feeding any of you people food until Raphael was walking."

"Frankly, I’m afraid to ask, and yet I must: What did you feed us, Dad?"

"Mostly, bugs and fish and dog food.”

"Is that why Mikey barked for the longest time?" Raph asks cautiously.

"We'll never know," Mikey says blithely, because even at twenty-two he is still the Youngest Sibling and if he doesn't say something Unhinged to throw them off every once in a while he isn't living up to his full potential.

Leo frowns at him.

Donnie drags his hands down his face.

"Dog food, Dad…"

"I was a homeless, freshly-mutated single father of four strange little turtles….!! If Leonardo had not spoken almost immediately, I would have raised you all as pets!"

Spill the beans. What's a new project you're doing this year?

I don't really have anything new, per se. I'm mostly just trying to finish the ideas and drafts I already have rolling around. I do have one fic I'm trying to pull another narrative sleight of hand that's pretty exciting. It's always nice to see if I can fool the reader well enough to pull something off. I'm also trying to play with a few tropes in new ways, which I always dig. But if I could also get this epic 150,000 word fic I've been picking at for two years finished, that would be lovely.

mostly I just want to finish SOMETHING. Anything would do. I'm not picky. 2024, year of just FINISHING SOMETHING ALREADY.

What's one area of your writing that you think needs the least amount of improvement?

Uh. Wow. I think I hate this question. Like, everything can always improve? And maybe one area works well for someone for a while and then it suddenly betrays them? Look, writing is a slippery thing. And right now it all feels hard and impossible and in need of improvement. but maybe...I think I can do a good job with making sure I know what is driving all the characters at a given time, rather than letting their actions or words be shaped by what would help the plot or the main pairing or whatever. So, I hope that all the characters in the story feel full of real life. Ugh, that was awful. thanks so much.

Are there any fandoms you've never written for but want to try?

Oh, so many. I've had this one Princess Leia fic idea rolling around in my head forever. Probably ever since I read that Courtship of Princess Leia book or whatever and was like...uh, no. But talk about an intimidating fandom! Wowza. As a casual watcher, I feel like I first need a dissertation in the universe before even poking a toe in.

I also absolutely adore Steve Rogers/Darcy Lewis and would to love to write something for them. Or one of my earliest loves like Tom/B'Elanna or Darcy/Elizabeth. I also have not found the perfect fic to scratch my post-canon itch for Love Between Fairy and Devil.
