Drabble: tsubaki x reader

Cw; not proof read, vent fic, implied toxic father. Implied suicidal thoughts.

It's been a bad day. A bad week you could say. Ever since Tsubaki had let you stay at his home its been smooth sailing. Understanding slowly that what the other environment provided wasn't good. That it caused more pain then happiness in your life. Sure it was odd living with vampires who would pop in and out. Having to deal with the hectic Belkia, the pessimism of Sakyua, or even over bearing nature Shamrock. Otogiri was her own huderl to deal with. It was better then before.

Sakyua was nice to hang around with, having another being there closer in relations with. Belkia around ment nobody would get bored. He always has a card up his sleeve in what would solve the Bordem that occurred. Shamrock would remind you to take care of yourself. As overbearing as it was in the worst days it was good. Having somebody to drag you out of bed, pull you to the bathroom making sure you got sanitized and ready for the day was a blessing.

When meeting Hiagan you were petrified at first, choosing to find a place behind tsubaki. The sudden appearance of the older man seemed to get the nerves going again. But over a gentle period of time the apprehensions started to wane. Enjoying the company of the senior and watching him paint and make hakuis on occasions.

But, they always weren't around. Tsubaki had his own busy life and plans you weren't quite made aware of. It was one of those days we're he was gone on an extended period of time it happened. You saw him again. The words that were spit out and the feelings that came of it brought you back to that night. Running home in fits of tears and sobbing. Thoughts of harm and other more heinous acts you could commit flew through your mind.

Once you arrived you gasped for air closing the door and then collapsing onto the floor. "It's all to much!" You whimpered out, not wanting the thoughts to come back. Not wanting to feel these feelings again. That you were unwanted, a waste of space. That everything you've achieved so far wasn't because of sheer grit and fighting through those moments. But because the world was playing a cruel joke. Warm tears soon started to dry caking your cheeks in a crusty feelings. A sniffle.

Bringing your sleeve to your face you wiped off the build up of snot. Eyes started into the room ahead of you blankly. The hurricane of emotions met its eye of the storm. A period of melancholy and no thoughts.

There was nothing you could do, or even wanted to. Feelings of depression started to set in quickly as you sluggishly walked your way to bed. Not bothering take off your pants you collaped into the soft mattress, and let the day fad away Into a dreamless slumber.

A soft pressure on your chest stirred the cloudly sleep away. A warmth enveloped you as the pressure became more stable. Cracking your eyes open you noticed a little fox sleeping half way on your torso.

"Tsubaki?" You murmured, sleep still having its grip on your brain.

"Shh.. just sleep. We can talk more tomorrow if you would like." He yawned and shifted, growing more comfortable nuzzled next to you.

I just finished watching Dream Knight and I'm legit home alone sobbing at the ending

1) This follows on from the HC / implications that Steve's parents are quite neglectful so it's not the happiest but I think HoH / deaf Steve wouldn't have a diagnosis for the longest time.

2) He also learns ASL on his own during his teen years.

3) Eddie notices Steve sometimes can't decipher what he's saying unless he can see Eddie. Eddie consciously tries to make sure Steve can see his face when he talks to him, or gently taps Steve's shoulder if he's talking to him while they're not face to face. This is before Steve tells him about his condition cause it's so normal and typical for Steve that sometimes he forgets people may not know.

4) Eddie attempts to learn ASL once he knows. Steve finds out cause sometimes he'll see Eddie concentrate or look at something and see he's trying to remember the sign for a word / object

This is so long sorry I love HoH/deaf Steve
