ALSO while i'm on the subject something my husband has pointed out regularly is that the thing about wyll's story is that it's very deeply intertwined with actual dnd lore, particularly with the city of baldur's gate itself. The source books will have little blurbs about ansur, duke ravengard is very important in general, etc. The PROBLEM with that is that

1. they rely on you already knowing and being invested in the lore of baldur's gate

2. they kind of wrote themselves into a wall relying so heavily on the lore, especially because larian's original contacts at wizards of the coast are all gone. And wotc are a BITCH so god help larian if they fuck any of that lore up.

Realistically, it would've probably been better for them to focus more on things with mizora and wyll as a more complicated person, rather than try and make everything about the city. He definitely has a lot more going for him if you actually bring him along with you regularly, florrick is kind of a tether to his old life and it's interesting seeing their interactions.

Actually, in canon, Mario and Luigi are not from New York. (Mario and Luigi were pictured as babies in the Mushroom Kingdom for a whole spinoff game at one point.) In fact, our world doesn't exist there. What you're probably thinking of is the Super Mario Super Show from the 90s, which is not canon, but is where the movie is clearly drawing some inspiration from.

Wow this old CRPG sounds neat. It's not very expensive after all. And this time I definitely won't immediately struggle with the UI, get bored with the pacing, and wonder why everyone talks about how clever the writing supposedly is. I'm sure I will have the same experience as I would have if I'd played the game at 12 when it was new and groundbreaking and I had much more energy and free time.

Since you wrote on your DeviantArt bio that you like Touhou, have you ever considered playing the fangames (Megamari, UdongeinX, Shanghai.EXE)? And maybe have the characters from the original games meet the characters from the fangames (MegaMari! Marisa meeting Rock, UdongeinX! Reisen meeting X and Zero, Shanghai.EXE! Alice & Shanghai meeting Hub & Lan)?

How do you feel about the Four Guardians and MMZ! Zero having child bodies and adult voices? 😂

Oh yeah no worries! I can't say that I follow any specific series of fan fictions, I just lurk around wherever I am and read/look at whatever I like. I haven't really checked out AO3 in a long-long time, but I skimmed that place very lightly and wasn't looking for anything in particular.

That said, I don't really divulge in playing fangames myself. Not that I have anything against them-- like not at all, people put a lot of work into those! But I hardly even have time to play other games I pay for because I wanna balance between that, drawing, and my studies.

And as much as I love crossovers, I'll decide myself when I feel like drawing something together. I happen to like a lot of things, not just Mega Man. So the combinations in my head are more than I put on paper at a time.

As for that last one, it doesn't really matter to me, again please feel free to imagine things as you like.

Imagining this timeline with Hawke going to Skyhold in Inquisition and meeting Keiran and he's like

Hawke leaves. to go after Morrigan. at this point he's only kind of explained who Morrigan is, and only now does he really tell Anders about her. and the kid he maybe hypothetically had with her, he's not sure because she left and no that didn't break his heart at all, why do you ask?

I'm not sure how in character this would end up being, but for plot sake I think Hawke doesn't follow her through the Eluvian. i don't really know how much I wanna commit to that but I do kinda want hawke in kirkwall for da2 so like. eh so he's returning to Vigil's Keep after all that, old wounds scratched open (and probably some new ones to boot?), and finds that --

Anders is gone. and so is Justice. and there are Templars in the Wardens - Templars that Hawke fought to keep out, but whoever the interim commander was while he was gone undid all that.

so anyway to answer your question. No, Anders doesn't really know about Keiran. that'll be a fun conversation when it eventually comes out
