Hi Kodakins! I miss you🙁 Insomnia has plagued me once again, and you're on my list of people I bother when I cannot sleep. Don't worry, I won't put you through another round of either/or😅
Since there are "Top 5" polls going around, I was wondering: 1) Now that ThaiGL has taken over, which top 5 series are you most looking forward to?
2) What top 5 genres/tropes would you like to see from future GL projects?
Thank you for indulging me❤️
P.S. Now that I finally have some free time, I'm catching up on fics that I had saved to read for later and um
EXCUSE ME????? WTF IS THIS????? YOU NEGLECTED TO MENTION SOMEONE DYING!
❤️❤️❤️
Don't worry, I won't put you through another round of either/or😅
Thank you!!!
My Top 5 Upcoming Thai GL Series (I think you can probably predict most of these hehe)
1 - The Loyal Pin It's one of my favorite yuri novels (I own both the Thai and English versions). It's FreenBeck. It's promoting Thai culture on an international scale. It's the first Thai GL series to be backed by the MOC. It will break barriers... and my soul. I AM SOOO READY!!!
2 - The Last Case It's an original script. It stars openly queer actresses. It's being directed by N'App who is also openly queer. ESTER ORUCHE!!! The only reason it's not number one on my list is simply because it is Identity's first series and I have nothing to gauge their production by.
3 - Reverse 4 You I am a huge fan of Be My Favorite and while the premise is not exactly the same, it has its similarities. If this series comes anywhere close to being just as good, I'll be a very happy camper.
4 - Pluto Putting any issues I have with its source aside... I love Namtan Tipnaree. I tend to favor actors who have really great emotional range and Namtan can certainly deliver. Her being paired with an equally compelling actress like Film Rachanun certainly caught my attention. All I can hope for? That GMM will do right by them and the other female actresses involved 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾
5 - I'm Your Moon "กัษธิษฐาน" (the novel this series is based on) is a story of fated lovers and reincarnation...and that is one of my favorite tropes!!! The series is still in the very early stages of production, so anything can happen...
I'm generally not too concerned about genre or tropes in a series so instead, I'll answer you this...
My Top 5 Hopes for Future Thai GL Series
1 - Alright... there is one genre I want. VAMPIRES!!! Bet ya didn't see that one coming! 🤣🤣🤣 No...but in all seriousness, I'll take anything supernatural. Vampires, Sirens, Wiccans... it's all fair game. Bonus points if there's an incorporation of Thai mythology... there's such a rich history there.
2 - More Inclusivity. I'd love to see more sapphic stories beyond the standard variety. Give me trans leads, give me ace rep, give me neurodiversity, give me more disability rep, more Thai-black rep... there are so many identities that could benefit from more on-screen representation. I don't know if Thailand is fully there yet, but I hope someday we will be.
3 - Original Content. I'd love to see production companies develop their own original stories (much like The Last Case). I'm not saying to eliminate the Novel-to-Series model altogether, but original scripts tend to help diversify a genre.
4 - Step away from adapting Planoy novels. I probably sound like a broken record at this point, but my issue with them goes beyond their writing. I'll continue to say that they have contributed to the harm of the Thai queer community in both word and action. I will never support them and production companies should really stop giving them a platform. There are other, less problematic, GL authors who are more deserving of an opportunity.
5 - MilkLove in another, more mature GL. I'd (selfishly) love to see them in a series more suited to an older/adult audience.
...as for the fic, I don't know what to tell you hehe It's Shadowhunters. These are life/death situations... but just trust me. Not all is what it seems!!! (Thank you for reminding me to finish writing the fighting scenes for that. Those are always the most difficult to do and I've been putting it off for far too long)

another (re)introduction + masterlists - 2024 edition
In 2022, I found & joined the world of fanfiction and I've met the best group of people, readers, and even my partner in the process. This is just another brief updated introduction to myself as I feel like so much has changed in these two years!
About Me:
You can call me Kay, and please do. Pronouns: he/him. I’m still a political science grad student and legal nerd in the U.S. who’s neurodiverse and has been writing their entire life. On occasion, I work on original fiction but everything here is of the fandom variety. I'll never get enough of old sitcoms, rom-coms, literary fiction, and there's hardly any kind of music I don't enjoy, though my love for jazz is eternal. I’m also over the age of 21 and as an adult writer, for adult readers, there will occasionally be 18+ nsfw content shared.
Here on my blog, expect to see me post updates, writing plans, snippets, teases, and fic ideas! My asks are always open for questions, interactions, or sending me ideas — I’m here for it all — though I don't take formal requests. I’m also tag-game friendly, and love “meeting” people that way. And I’m always down to chat!
Below the cut, you can find a little bit about what I write, what to expect, and a link to my many masterlists and AO3 profile!
My Writing:
It all started from a love of Padmé Amidala and a desire to see more fan works that centered on her -- so I wrote them!
Many of my stories are centered on Anakin x Padmé’s relationship, with quite a bit of the little Skywalkers weaved in there. Personally, I love AUs for both reading and writing and most of my stories, though not all, are Modern AUs that I’ve taken a lot of care in creating to stay true to characterization.
As a general rule, I like focusing on friendships and familial relationships along with romantic ones, so expect to almost always see other characters joining along the way in all of my writing across fandoms. Many of my stories are domestic or family fluff, but there is some slice of life, hurt/comfort, and light angst mixed in.
While my work began with Anidala, I am a multi-shipper and multi-fandom with a growing number of works for DinLuke and across the Marvel universe - the latest obsession being SteveNat.
If you're here for Anidala, you can find all of my fics for them listed and linked in my Anidala Masterlists!
If you're wondering about my other work, you can find those listed and linked in one of the following lists: MCU Masterlist, SW Sapphic Week 2023, and DinLuke Masterlist!
Or, if you prefer, you can find all my fics, from drabbles and one shots, to ongoing longfics and series, on my AO3 works page!
I appreciate every bit of support and interaction I receive, and I try to always make that known. Here’s to two more years and all the others to come, and the friends I’ve yet to meet along the way!
—Kay

I go by Freddie, I'm a butch bisexual, I live in Europe, I don't know which pronouns I like so use any and all.
I am a huge nerd about a variety of things, mostly retro computers/tech, frutiger aero + metro (!!!), y2k (!!!), mcbling (!!!) apartment tours, sapphics, making an excessive amount of playlists etc etc.
I'm very covid cautious/conscious, I try to mask as much as possible and don't really leave the house that much. It's been really lonely...
Very mentally ill and neurodivergent, in therapy and trying my best.
Most of my posts are on being sapphic, my favorite aesthetics, covid, tech, mental illness, neurodiversity, languages or random memes.
i use tone tags when talking but only in specific contexts, lmk if you need me to increase the usage.
dni:
minors/ageless blogs, i occasionally post nsfw so stay the fuck away thanks.
be respectful if you decide to dm me and don't treat me like an object, i'll just block you
terfs, bigots, ableist mfs, racists, zionists, homophobes, fetishizers etc etc you know the list
if you think that my bisexuality is contradictory to my butchness.
if you think covid is the same as a mild cold
Take care of the people around you and wear masks, get tested, buy purifiers if you can and/or isolate when you are ill. We share air and covid is a disease that attacks all systems in the body and has disabled hundreds of millions, be mindful.
My ask box is open for now, i got almost no followers tho.
Fun fact about my life rn: im bedrotting, daydreaming, panicking and sleeping. I'm trying to get my degree but paralyzing anxiety has made studying really difficult (if you need an accountability buddy lmk).

I know it's a bit late in the season to do this, but I have adhd and finally got my meds so I can put stuff down on paper. This is a list of things I want and dont' want to happen on the 4th season of lower decks. And of course these are just my thoughts on the series, please don't try to yell at me about how my opinions are wrong. I would love to discuss anything here in a civilized manner, even if I have to speak like Mark Twain
Wants:
I want a mariner and Rutherford episode. Not a trio episode, but the an episode where the two of them have an A or B plot story to themselves. They're the only 2 of the original 4 to not have a story for just the 2 of them. I know they're friends and kind of close, but we only get it when they're attached to Tendi or Boimler. I just want them interacting as a pair so we can see their relationship, maybe they don't get along well together when they're not with other people. It's been 4 seasons, they deserve an episode together. (I dont' count the least dangerous game, because while their plots interact, and Mariner specifically tries to break the rules to rescue him, they don't interact as characters)
Tendi and Mariner getting into a fight, like a fist fight for real. Mariner is amazing in a fight, we've seen it multiple times and she's able to trounce Boimler and Rutherford at the same time easily. Tendi is a secret monster too when it comes to battle curbstomping 4 Romulan guards on her own when the mission didn't even come to that, other Orions are terrified of her and while she 'lost' the fight with her super assassin younger sister, the sister had an actual sword and wasn't tired from running around on the planet looking for her 'kidnapped' sister. I don't want it to be a super emotional thing, though it could be
I'm on the fence about wanting any romance, I think Mariner and Jennifer was done terribly, like one of the worst ways to write romance (I'll get to that on my don't wants). But as a lesbian woman, I am always thirsty for sci-fi sapphics. I would love a love story between 2 (or more) women, cis/trans/or nonbinary, even if I'm not sure I can trust the writers do do it justice. I'm just built the way I am. I would also like two or more men in the similar way, it's not my thing, but it's somebodies, and I'm always here for more queer rep.
I'd like to see Boimler and Rutherford interact with Shax more. I know they're not security but they are official members of the bear pack and he seems to have a soft spot for them. I really like that side of him and I like that the two soft but underestimated boys of the original 4 bring out that side of him.
Something Something Enterprise related. I was a very casual view of Enterprise growing up, I didn't watch a lot of star trek just episodes that my brother watched when he got the chance to. But I watched a few of enterprise and it has a soft spot in my heart. Lower Decks is full of easter eggs and references, I hope they have some for enterprise as they had a whole episode about Deep Space Nine and Voyager in the series already. I don't have a particular care, since I'm more of a lower decks fan than star trek, but I know Enterprise isn't everyone's cup of tea but I liked what I saw, (except for the finale)
Something the series always does really good is introducing or reintroducing different alien races that they don't really do any more on the live action because makeup and cgi take time and money and even then can look fake or uncanny valley, but that's the beauty of animation (not that it doesn't cost money, just that you can add any alien race to any scene and it feels like they're meant to be there and they live in that world). It's just really cool to see the variety of aliens that populate the star trek universe and it's easier to include them in Lower Decks than anything.
Scene between Mariner and her mother. I feel like the ending was rushed in season 3 and brushed off as Mariner making the mistakes. When the season her character development was that she could admit that she loved the Cerritos and the people aboard only to be judged and stabbed in the back by her own mother and basically kicked out of her home. Carol had her own reasons, and I get it if it was season 1 mariner, but it rubbed me the wrong way and was done too quickly.
Don't want:
Jennifer to come back in any speaking capacity, especially with Mariner. This is probably controversial, but it's how I feel. I actually liked the character before season 3 and still do really, but I feel like the writers didn't know what to do with her and wrote one of the worst romantic relationships I've ever seen. I can go on and on about this, and probably will on another post I've been saving since season3 ended, but after watching Mike McMahan's interview with Jessie gender (on her youtube channel jessie Gender after dark, I highly recommend it and the rest of her videos, I'm a huge fan) I genuinely don't think that they put much thought into the relationship other than they're going to break up. I don't think if they wrote a scene with Jennifer talking to Mariner they could ever do it justice. Even if it's just been as a background character Jennifer has already been in as many episodes as she was in season 3 which says enough about how little screen time their relationship got. Let it just be dead and let Jennifer be a background character with a cool design
No romance between the main 4. I don't really like the idea of romance between the original 4 lower deckers, (Tendi and Rutherford kind of get a pass since they were genuinely sweet but I haven't gotten any ship tease moments from them in season 3 so maybe the writers forgot about them) I love romantic relationships, but I also love platonic relationships too and the 4 of them are genuinely sweet as friends. I'm not going to hate the show or stop watching it, but I will sigh because for the most part it always seems like 'romantic tension' amounts to this is a boy and this is a girl and they're going to get together because that's life. Which as a queer woman isn't really for me. Note T'lyn is not part of this, she can be with any of the main 4 as long as it feels right and naturally written for all I care. I like her character but she doesn't have the history that the other 4 have that would make me dislike it. Hell let her date all 4 of them and have them remain platonic dating their awesome Vulcan girlfriend
No Peanut Hamper like episodes in season 3 please. I don't even think the episode was bad, it was very funny and very star trek. The issue is that when the older shows did the bizzaro/lower decks/character we never thought of episodes, they had over 20 episodes in their seasons, and I believe were 40 minutes long, (it's been so long since I've seen older live action star trek), they had time to do these episodes without taking time form the plot or the characters that we love. Lower decks has 10 episodes a season like SNW, as is the modern season for networks. 1/10 of the time of the season devoted to a character that some might consider annoying feels like a huge waste in a short season. I know they're probably setting up something for this season's finale or next seasons plot like since Peanut Hamper went to the Daystrom institute with the other evil super intelligences, but it still felt like a lot of time to spend on her when there was to flesh out with characters I liked.
This is all for me for now, I'd like to get peoples opinons on this and honestly anything for lower decks. I like talking with other fans even if it's just through reblogs and replies

This took me really long to respond because I am The Indecisive
👑 Favorite version of Zelda?
Honestly really hard to pick just one. I like BotW/TotK Zelda a lot because she has such a fantastic arc and you really feel for her and her story plus I find her very relatable...
Spirit Tracks Zelda is easily among my favorites too, her being a ghost and your companion makes her SO unique and she's really funny and cute and has one of the best relationships with her Link, and she also gets to shine in combat, too!
Skyward Sword Zelda also set the standard for her backstory and I think she's so likable but I do wish we saw more of her in general...
Ocarina of Time Zelda had such a cool story what with messing with forces she didn't necessarily understand while trying to plot against Ganondorf even though she was just a kid, not to MENTION the Sheik reveal which is just iconic tbh.
Both for Hyrule Warriors and Wind Waker I don't have much to say in general about them but I still really like their take charge, more active attitudes! I do hate how they lighten Tetra's skin color and remove her from being active in the plot when the reveal comes though... you hate to see it!
Twilight Princess Zelda... what can I say, she is an elegant sapphic icon and she will always be famous. I was a bit ticked off when they changed out her for ALBW Zelda in Smash because I think she is much more memorable.
I would be remiss not to mention Wand of Gamelon Zelda at least a lil' bit too... Idk she's cute and cheesy and I'm not sorry for including her. Maybe if Nintendo made her actually playable in their games I wouldn't have to do it but 💅
🐳 If you were a Zelda character, what race would you be?
Probably a Hylian boringly enough but I would kill to be one of those occasional enemies that does their own thing for some reason, like... I could be a wolfperson who can't eat their yogurt until you trade me a spoon for my boomerang or whatever.
👊 Favorite Zelda Villain/Boss?
Villain-wise, I love Hilda... she was clearly in the wrong but my god I can completely understand the desperation... Twinrova also I ALWAYS adore seeing whenever they pop up - I love me some comically evil grannies. Ghirahim and Yuga heard "slay" and said "this has multiple meanings and I'll do all of them," and honestly Ganon(dorf) is super cool always but I particularly enjoy his portrayals in ALttP, OoT, WW and TP. Shoutout to Veran and Onox too for variety's sake.
Too many cool bosses to mention but Koloktos is still my fave.
🧚 Favorite Zelda companion?
Uh-Oh... Here's the thing about me - I'm an Annoying Companion Enjoyer (tm) and I don't think I dislike any of them, even the infamous ones. Navi is my girl she was just trying to help and everyone attacks her and attacks her and attacks her... ungrateful behavior.
Tatl is so iconic and funny, I will always be mad they kinda toned down her mean girl-ness in the 3DS remake, even though I get that some of it was for accessibility reasons since a lot of her og comments just weren't helpful at all lmao... tho I think they could have struck a better balance.
Ciela is SO underrated, honestly. She had a good arc and I love her bickering with Linebeck so much.
Midna has the best story out of all of them and everything about her is excellence from her design to her attitude to her relationship with Link and Zelda... ugh she is so good, I miss her.
I've already said my piece about Zelda in Spirit Tracks BUT WHO CARES, HER AGAIN!!!
Fi is the only one who actually made me sob in real life from her last scene and I really enjoy her design and her dances and I genuinely think people forget how sassy she could be sometimes, not to mention being the actual Master Sword - I was ecstatic when they hinted at her existence again in BotW and TotK :)
👍 Favorite Zelda Headcanons?
The Triforce being in flux and changing aspects between its wielders in some games, like Zelda in BotW potentially holding Courage since her key scene was going up alone against Calamity Ganon and Link's usage of the runes and primary association with Blue could tie to him bearing Wisdom in them. If not just headcanon, I think it's a prime idea for fan content.
This one also maybe doesn't count as a headcanon per se but... the Zelda Timelines... I greatly enjoy speculating around them but I do believe taking it too seriously is generally just bunk. I don't think even the developers take them as a wholly 100% accurate and important deal and I think that's actually completely fine. I am an ALttP->Link's Awakening->Oracle Games truther btw.

omg, re: aroace jillian, yesss, i am like: (see below meme) w you over the hc, it’s galaxytier, always one of my favs
do you have any other aspec hcs for other wn characters? personally i like to hc camila & mother superion, and a good chunk of the ocs as ace and/or aro without realizing it, they just think god’s being super helpful and helping them avoid ‘temptation’ lmao
i also love aspec lilith hcs and alternate between aro sapphic jillian and aroace jillian, and alternate between aro bi lilith, ace bi lilith, aroace, or aroace bi lilith depending on the mood
and then i love ace, gray or demi ace beatrice & aro, demi aro or gray aro ava hcs
also love hcing em as qprs
Hahaha loved the meme. WN really uniting people out there right?
Also thank you for this question and sorry in advance because you just opened my bottomless trunk of rants :D
god’s being super helpful and helping them avoid ‘temptation’ it's the ultimate catholic aroace girl experience (been there haha)
I also hc Camila as aspec, the scene when she says "how hot" Todd is just serves me to reassure the fact that nuns aren't blind haha, they can experience attraction (independently of gender, see my other hcs) but at the end they've taken the decision of remain celibate -or not- and that comes from their personal values/principles, regardless of attraction of any kind. * I think Camila doesn't overthink in terms of attraction because it isn't something that common for her, therefore not "that hard" for her to ignore it.
Mother Superion is one of those characters I don't feel we have enough info in order to hc her orientation, and I don't feel comfortable doing so when that happens. Honestly I see her as straight haha, one of the clearest examples of women who actually experience attraction but their love, faith, and desire for service were stronger. That happens and it's ok. Same case with Yasmine.
I'm more inclined by aroace Jillian (she never mentions romance or sexual attraction in any way), but I can see why some hc her as sapphic. In KTY's words "whatever goats your boat :D"
Yes for aspec sapphic Lilith as in "she might or might not be attracted to girls but doesn't mind, because she's just focused in other things".
And yeees! demi Bea for the win <3 There's actually an amazing fic that explores asexual Beatrice and how that happens alongside her being a lesbian (i.e. how both identities can go by hand and how religious trauma doesn't "cause" asexuality). I can't remember the name but it must be somewhere in my blog under the ace beatrice tag
I'm not entirely sure if I'll hc Ava as acespec or arospec. She actually seems -to me- like that one character of the complete opposite of the spectrum haha, either pan or bi.
*the conversation of attraction and religious women its is actually something I find deeply interesting. Having grown in a religious environment (read: being close with nuns haha) I can assure you that there's as much variety of orientations as in any other community. More than once a nun had told me that "they can find someone attractive, they just don't act about it ;)". Many had relationships before joining the church, one thing doesn't change the other.
I think that the idea that, historically, many many nuns have been queer (mostly sapphic and aspec) comes from the fact that from a very long time, religious life was the only "acceptable" role a woman couldn't take that didn't require her to marry a man. It was also a way to guarantee themselves certain grade of freedom and education, but that's a conversation for another time because this has already gotten too long and I'm digressing from your original question.
